Amity then knew exactly who was shouting at her from the top of the cliff and was about to make a spell circle, but the water started to rise and became a giant hand. Amity looked at the water seeing Luz close to the dock hiding with strange markings on her body glowing. Amity touched the water to feel that it wasn't boiling. She climbed into the giant arm palm and was raised up to the top of the cliff where an annoyed Bosha was waiting.
"What do you want, Bosha?" Amity asked getting out of the hand, once she was on the ground it recited back into the sea.
"So, you do know a mermaid." Bosha said going back over to the cliff to see if she could get a look at the mermaid. "Not going to lie I thought the rumor was you're doing but seeing that you tried hiding must mean you haven't told your mother yet."
"You and I both know if she found out, the mermaid wouldn't survive." Amity said looking down knowing she was going to have to tell Luz about her mother. "What do you want and how'd you find me anyway. Last time I checked you hated this spot because of the Grom Tree."
"I do," Bosha said, refusing to look at the tree behind her. "I overheard some coven scouts talking to the Golden Guard about one of the Blight children heading here with a mermaid." Bosha then took out a potion flask. "So, I used this to see where you went to see that you were down there talking to someone."
"That answers all but one of my questions." Amity said, getting annoyed. "What in the name of Titan do you want?"
Bosha held out her hand and answered, "I think you know what I want."
Amity glared at Bosha then growled, "I just met them yesterday, I don't have any scales or anything on me."
Bosha scoffed then said, "I'm sure you can ask them."
Amity was about to say something when she heard the sound of cannons. Both Bosha and Amity looked out into the distance to see a ship with a black flag.
"Pirates." Amity said, seeing them sailing closer to the rocks. "How are they getting that close to the rocks without damaging their ship."
"Oh man. I think you should tell that mermaid to swim away if they're still down there." Bosha suggested.
"What, why should I do that?" Amity questioned. Bosha then handed Amity a tube of green liquid. Amity dropped a few in her eyes then took a look in the direction of the ship to see it was being pulled by an Otteris. "You have got to be kidding me." Amity immediately used her magic to get to the bottom of the cliff and saw Luz was trying but failing to get out of the water without getting the towels she brought wet. "Sorry Luz but you're going to have to deal with the tight space for a bit." Amity used her magic and the remainder of the abomination goo to make a giant ball full of boiling seawater and Luz inside, then climbed back up to the top.
"Please tell me you didn't." Bosha questioned seeing the abomination goo ball that Amity had following her.
"I suggest you stay away from me, Bosha." Amity said walking past. "I have a mermaid to protect, and I refuse to deal with both you and the pirates. As for that stupid request I think you should rethink it. The law states using mermaid scales is illegal since most times, they don't fall off willingly."
Once Amity walked away with the goo ball following her, Bosha then saw a flash speed by.
"Okay now I just need to get you to the Owl House, and everything should be fine." Amity said to herself and readjusted Luz's bag over her shoulder.
"I'm going to need to stop you there, Blight." a voice said. Amity then came face to face with the Golden Guard. "I'll have you give me the Mermaid you have in there."
"Sorry, but I can't do that at the moment." Amity said, moving the goo ball behind her remembering what Luz said before about the Emperor's coven wanting her to have their protection.
"Look, we both know how this will go." Hunter said, reaching out his hand. "She needs to come with me."
"Sorry but from what I know she told you no." Amity said firmly. "Plus, I don't think we should be having this decision here at the moment."
The Golden Guard looked around to see that they were on the Grudgby field of Hexide.
"The place aside, I will have you give me the one in the ball of abomination goo?" Hunter said, tilting his head while taking a step forward.
"Yeah, not going to happen." Amity said using her other hand to make a fire ball and throw it at the guard. As the guard deflected the fire Amity ran into the school hoping no one was still inside, as she ran, she heard banging on the goo ball. "Give me a second." Amity ran into a classroom seeing no one was there. "This should do." Amity placed the goo ball down this dispelled it with the abomination goo going back into the gourd she had on her hip and the water spreading across the floor. "Sorry about that but I didn't want to leave you alone there with the pirate so close."
"Your fine Amity." Luz said, stretching her arms. "But maybe make the ball a bit bigger." Luz then made the water circle around her. "I don't want to cause the school any more trouble." Amity snickered a little then blushed as she got a better look at Luz in her mermaid form. She had a few scales along her sides and back, plus her face that seems to be the same color as her tail which was a lighter color compared to her skin tone. She then noticed that Luz's ears were no longer round but resembles fish fins and her long hair clinging to her skin only added to her beauty."
"Amity, are you alright?" Luz asked, seeing Amity staring off into space.
"Uh, oh yeah I'm fine it's just I was wondering if you wanted help changing back." Amity said, hoping Luz would believe her lie.
"Sure, that would be nice." Luz said, looking around. "Could you open the window so that I can get rid of this water?" Amity went over to the window but immediately stopped and hid. "He's out there, isn't he?" Luz questioned, already knowing the answer. Amity easily nodded her head in agreement. "Does he not listen to any one but the Emperor?"
"Think so." Amity said as Luz hid behind a table. "But it's weird how he acts like he doesn't have a lot of time."
Luz thought for a moment then said, "I don't think the Emperor gave him permission to get me." Amity immediately gave Luz a questioning look. "Think about it, if the Emperor really gave him the order to come get me, he would be using the scouts to surround the school or Owl House, but it's just him and he seems worried."
"You're right, he doesn't want the scouts finding out about him being here." Amity said, taking her scroll out.
"Hey Amity, is that cauldron empty by chance." Luz asked seeing the cauldron near Amity.
"Yeah, I think so." Amity said, lifting the lid to see nothing inside.
"Good." Luz said throw the water into the cauldron. "Someone might be able to do something with that tomorrow. "Now could you give me a towel, and once I have my legs back, we have to get out of here." Amity then handed Luz her bag to see that most of the continents were wet. "I'll have to find a way to dry off another way." She then took out a pair of her shorts. "Now I just need a way to dry my legs."
They then heard the sound of someone coming closer.
"Looks like times up." Amity shouted, picking Luz up bridal style as she carried the bag out of the room. "Sorry but you're going to have to deal with this for a while."
"I'll consider this practice for when we're older." Luz said blushing.
"Luz!" Amity shouted, almost dropping the girl as her own face grew red.
"Wait turn here." Luz ordered seeing that they were close to an exit she knew about. "I know somewhere we can hide for the time being."
"What are you talking about, this is the detention track classroom." Amity said, looking at the room.
"I know." Luz said back. "Now close the door and go over to the chalkboard. The doors already open." Luz then heard the sound of someone coming. "Doesn't matter, it helps us out." the next moment a secret door opened up.
"You have got to be kidding me." Amity said walking into the secret room.
"Welcome to the multi-track room." Luz said as the door closed behind them. "We should be safe here for a bit."
"What are you doing?" A voice shouted. "This is off limits to everyone but a select few."
