Making a Clearer Path with a Glass Sight

"Would that do?" Inuyasha asked Senku.

"Yeah, everything is just right, and you were able to do it much faster just in time for the sunrise." Senku nodded as he looks over to the horizon seeing the sunrise.

"And it was thanks to Chrome with his weird rock collection." Inuyasha said.

"Hey! My rock collection is badass, everything we'll need to make the medicine for Ruri is in here!" Chrome stated strongly, being very proud of his rock collection.

(Flashback)

"I can't believe you've got galena! Lead has been acquired!" Senku smiled excitedly as he found the galena rock in Chrome's rock collection and believes this will help them make glass much better too.

"Why do some of these rocks smell funny?" Inuyasha asked while sniffing at one of the rocks.

(Flashback End)

"We throw in a bit of molten lead, and lo and behold, we have super-transparent crystal glass, perfect for a lens." Senku held the crystal glass for the others to see as the three natural-born stone age are amazes of the new thing see-through thing.

"It's all sparkly and see-through, kind of like a piece of ice!" Suika commented.

"Or some sort of gem." Kohaku added.

"Okay, so what are we gonna do with the lens? Is it for Suika with her eyes?" Inuyashas asked.

"Something like that, but first we're going to use this." Senku gestured to the little contraption made from bamboos and strings.

"So, what's that weird tool thing do?" Suika asked.

"It'll polish the glass, 'cause doin' it by hand would kill us." Senku answered.

"Guess that means you don't have any glass clearer soaps on ya, huh?" Inuyasha guessed.

"Yeah, haven't gotten around in making that kind of chemical just yet, so this will have to do." Senku nodded.

"Oh! I bet we can use that super bad corundum stuff I've got for polishing it up, whaddaya think?" Chrome suggested using one of the minerals to Senku.

"Glass has a Mohs hardness rating of about a six. Corundum's is nine, so it's perfect!" Senku agreed with that.

"Aw yeah! It's gonna work like a charm!" Chrome smiled with a thumbs up as he climbs up to his home.

"Here comes all the stone talk, I have nothing to add in this conversation." Kohaku deadpanned.

"Yeah, I really don't get with all the rock talk and stuff either even though I'm from the same era as Senku." Inuyasha nodded.

"So, have you ever met Senku back in your old era?" Kohaku asked.

"No, never heard of the guy. We didn't even go to the same school." Inuyasha answered.

"School? Is that a place where you can learn science?" Kohaku asked curiously.

"That and learning other subjects like history, math, art like drawing and other styles, we even had physical education on how to make your body strong and healthy which is the only thing I would ever go for while the rest are boring." Inuyasha explained about school.

"I bet you were quite the troublemaker." Kohaku guessed.

"Yeah, I always had a hard time paying attention to my teachers and just wanna get out and do something with all the energy and strength I have with my body." Inuyasha chuckled.

"So, what do you wanna do while Senku and Chrone finish cleaning the glass lens?" Inuyasha asked, wanting to do something right now.

"While, I was about to have Ginro and Kinro do combat training again and now we have another fighter to help make our training that much stronger!" Kohaku smiled.

"Combat training? Alright, this should be fun." Inuyasha nodded as they walk up to Ginro and Kinro who are waiting for them.

"Hold on, is this guy really going to train with us?" Ginro asked, shaking in fear when seeing Inuyasha.

The reason for Ginro being scared was because of how he heard about this guy being stronger than Kohaku beating her in a fight and there was even the story about beating Tsukasa, who was supposed to be the big and very strong bad guy, in one fight before coming here.

Yean, Ginro was already going through Hell because of the harsh training session from Kohaku and Kinro, he doesn't need this guy to join the fray.

"Is this little shit really going to fight in the Grand Bout because he seems not really into something too hard." Inuyasha asked about Ginro making him flinch in the heart.

"We need all the helping hands we can get to make sure we're the ones winning in order to get closer to Ruri, we can't have Magma stand in our way." Kohaku explained.

"I'm gonna need to see how these two are good in a fight." Inuyasha said, moving to another spot.

Inuyasha gestured his hand at the twins to come at him and hold nothing back which surprises the two and they look at Kohaku wondering if she is okay with the new guy challenging both of them at the same time.

"Go at him with all you got." Kohaku nodded.

Kinro and Ginro knew she was serious and decided to go with it, they wanted to see for themselves if this guy is really strong in a fight as he claims to have.

Kinro was the first to charge in with his brother right behind him, not because he was too scared to even face Inuyasha in the first place.

Kinro thrust his practice spear at the white hair boy who dashes forward with a slide under the attack, and in that instant moment, he kicks the practice spear out of Kinro's hands and got up for another kick on the side to send him flying.

"Kinro!" Ginro gasped in fear.

But Ginro was also taken down by a swipe kick followed by a punch in the stomach sending him over to his brother.

"Is that all you got? I guess being a guard of the village is nothing but bullshit." Inuyasha insulted.

"Hey Kinro, maybe you being all about the rules was just a fake persona for you to be a lazy ass." Inuyasha mocked the serious twin.

"How dare you!" Kinro growled a bit as he got back up.

"I always get the rules of the village seriously and my job of never allowing outsiders to enter the village!" Kinro charged at Inuyasha and grabbed his practice spear along the way.

Kinro starts attacking Inuyasha with some fast swings and thrusting, but Inuyasha easily dodges them while landing a few heavy blows on his opponent then grab the practice spear with one hand making him try to get it back though it wouldn't budge at all.

"Would you say that for real if there was a dying woman holding a baby came up to you begging for shelter for her child while she was on her last breath." Inuyasha glared fiercely.

"(What's going on? Suddenly he seems very serious?)" Kinro thought wondered and got punched in the stomach.

"Would you be so coldhearted of a bitch to not allow her nor her child to come here because the rules say outsiders are not allowed in?" Inuyasha asked with another punch across the face.

"I bet you wouldn't even care if the baby died too." Inuyasha grabbed Kinro by the face and slams him down to the ground.

"Still think rules are important?" Inuyasha asked.

"I'm coming!" Ginro ran the fastest he could in order to save his brother.

Ginro goes in for downward swing to strike Inuyasha in the head only for his instincts to move his body to the side and one free hand to smack his practice spear, but Ginro expected that to happen and quickly move down to grab Kinro's spear only to be kicked away by Inuyasha's foot.

"Well, I'm waiting." Inuyasha held Kinro's face closer to his ear.

"R… Rules a… are the… rules." Kinro groaned painfully in response.

That piss off Inuyasha and punch him so hard that Kinro was sent flying over seventy feet into the forest past Kohaku.

"Wow, a little more than I expected for this to go." Kohaku commented.

"Was that okay?" Inuyasha asked.

"I think that's fine. You definitely show them there is someone out there who is stronger than any of us." Kohaku said.

"The way you were talking to Kinro about, that was something that happened before, hasn't it?" Kohaku asked, noticing how Inuyasha looked angry back there.

"…Yeah, I can't really stand people who just don't do anything to others when they're down and helpless, it really pisses me off." Inuyasha clutched his hand.

"I saw it happened once a few years ago back in the old-modern era." Inuyasha remembered that day as he looks up at the sky.

(Flashback)

A younger Inuyasha is walking through the streets and decided to go through an alleyway to get to one of his favorite places faster, but then he heard yelling ahead and saw that a woman bleeding from the chest is begging a man in black shirt to let her in.

But the guard didn't give a shit and pushes her off and turns for Inuyasha to see a baby in her arms.

Inuyasha was shocked of seeing this and started to become so angry as he charges into the scene.

(Flashback End)

"Well, how about you and I train together for a while. I would certainly want to learn more about your fighting style." Kohaku offered, also using this as a way to help cheer Inuyasha up.

"Sure, I don't mind." Inuyasha nodded.

Inuyasha and Kohaku do some combat training together while Kinro and Ginro were left defeated and Senku is getting to work on the lens with Chrome to make it extra clean.

Even though this training became a lot more difficult for Kohaku, she still finds this as a challenge to improve herself as a warrior and Inuyasha's insane level of strength is the goal for her to reach. Plus, she really doesn't mind hanging out with Inuyasha more than the others.

(Somewhere Else)

Now the scene shows Suika without her watermelon helmet and holding onto Senku's cloth as they are walking together through a flower field along with Chrome and Inuyasha are with them for support.

"Okay Suika, can you see the sunflowers in front of you?" Inuyasha asked.

"Yeah, of course. It's not like I can't see anything at all, you know?" Suika answered, with her face looking gross like before.

"I just have to try—" Her sentence was cut off when Senku put the watermelon helmet on her head.

When Suika opens her eyes again, something looked very different than what she was used to before, her vision has become even clearer than before that she can see the sunflowers so clear like she never had the fuzzy sickness at all.

And it's not just the sunflowers that she could see now, but everything around her like the dog Chalk, the blue sky and the clouds, everything that she couldn't see clearer before.

Everything looked so amazing that Suika doesn't know how to put it into words as tears of joy starts to come out.

"I think she's likes it." Inuyasha smiled as Senku chuckles.

(With Kohaku)

Kohaku is watching over the twins seeing them just recovering from their big defeat against Inuyasha and knowing how badly hurt they are, she decided to let them rest up though not without giving them a few pointers.

"Kinro, I saw you tried attacking Inuyasha earlier in the first moment and once again, your attack was too shallow. Seriously, you've got to break that habit!" Kohaku scolded.

"If you wanna fight with a spear, you have to be able to judge distance, or you'll never beat Magma!" Kohaku pointed out.

Kinro looks down not wanting to look at Kohaku in the eyes even though he knew that she is right, but that is something he can't break out so easily because of a certain problem he has.

"(Judging distance, right.)" Ginro thought knew what is going on with his brother.

(Later)

The sky just started to turn orange with the sun about to set down the horizon, and the villager protecter brothers are hanging out at a rocky cliffside to where they have a private conversation.

"I heard what she said, but I don't know how you're gonna be able to do that." Ginro said.

"I mean, let's be honest here, you obviously have the fuzzy sickness. That's the main reason why you have such a menacing look on your face." Ginro pointed out, knowing the full truth of his brother.

"I was born like this." Kinro stated.

"Don't you understand, Kinro? It would be better if you went up to her and said, "I'm not weak, it's just my eyes. I know how to fight already. And if you wanna know the truth, I'm incredibly strong, okay?"" Ginro acted as Kinro in what telling Kohaku about.

"Such excuses are unbecoming of a grown man." Kinro proclaimed, not wanting to look weak to Kohaku nor the others.

"Don't tell anyone about this, Ginro." Kinro said, not wanting anyone to know about this.

Then Ginro's mind went back to the "sparring" session they had with Inuyasha and something that's been bugging him.

"Hey, Kinro?" Ginro said.

"Yeah?" Kinro wondered what else his brother wants to say.

"Would you really be that awful to let someone who is dying or completely harmless in if they had nowhere else to go or the fact that they're dying? Not even to let an innocent baby into the village?" Ginro asked.

Kinro's eyes widen upon hearing that question and making him think back on what Inuyasha was asking him earlier and now realizing the awful answer he gave him.

"(Now I'm starting to feel shit about myself.)" Kinro thought sighed.

(With Inuyasha and Others)

"So, feeling very good about being able to see clearly now." Inuyasha said to Suika.

"It is! It's wondeful!" Suika nodded.

"It's kinda surprising, but both of you guys look really cool." Suika complimented.

"And why is that so surprising?" Chrome asked, feeling a tiny bit offended, but decided to let that slide.

"It's finally time to make some glass equipment." Senku chuckled. "And now that Suika's leveled up on her labor potential statistics, that means we can actually put together a full chemistry set!" He smiled excitedly.

"Calling it "labor potential" is rude! Way to ruin the moment, man!" Chrome scolded the guy, but that only got the others laughing.

"What's so funny? What are you laughing about?" Chrome was confused.

"(I've only been with these guys for a day and I'm already liking them, and I'm seeing how smart Senku really is up close. This is getting me wild!)" Inuyasha thought laughed a little more.

(The Next Day)

Senku stirring big pot with a long wooden stick while Chrome is pouring in a lot of his shiny black rocks into the burning pot.

"Get excited to start our primitive glass-making class!" Senku grinned.

"Yeah! I'm ready to do this, Senku!" Chrome felt excited too.

"We keep throwing in these black rocks, right?" Chrome asked.

"I'm gonna keep these comin' for ya, guys!" Suika zoomed in with another clay bucket of black rocks.

"Ah! Wow, Suika, you're like a little speed demon. How cool." Chrome commented.

"Now that everything's not fuzzy, it makes things way easier. Plus, Inuyasha said that he's going to help me train in becoming faster than ever!" Suika mentioned.

"Oh yeah, this girl here could become the next faster thing after." Inuyasha smiled, but then he notices white bubbles inside the pot.

"Hey, are white bubbles supposed to come out of that?" Inuyasha asked.

"That's what we want. When you heat obsidian like this, it creates a foam." Senku explained.

"Like the ones use for other stuff like putting out fire?" Inuyasha asked.

"Then we'll use that foam as insulation and make a specialized glassblowing furnace." Senkus said.

The scene shows a montage of the group creating a small dome with a little hole in the inside and the fire.

"Next, we'll craft an iron straw, use it to blow up the glass with air, and that's it." Senku explained.

Senku pours the melted stuff into the bamboo to create the iron straw and then Chrome puts the iron straw to get out the melted stuff to begin the glass blow making.

"Blowing on stuff to make glass, doesn't sound very hard to do." Inuyasha shrugged, thinking that this is easy.

KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!

Suika has now gained a new level of sight thanks to Senku making glasses for her and the next thing for the Kingdom of Science to make some glass equipment, but they're about to find out the hard way on that making glass with blowing and an iron straw is not as easy as it seems.
