Chapter 55 Kanto League Top 256 battle Ash vs Mandi
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly cover Ash's battle with Mandi, I hope you all enjoy!
The chapter begins where the last one left off, we see Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie they are walking forward and come out of the hallway. When they make themselves known the announcer speaks.
"Here he is everyone the winner of the SS. Anne Tournament, and this year's champ of the P1 Grand Prix let's give a round of applause for Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town along with his Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie!" The announcer says as the crowd roars in excitement for Ash and his Pokemon. Ash along with the 3 mons look around the crowd and begin to wave meanwhile in the stands his friends let out a loud cheer for him. We then go to Pallet Town in Oak's ranch we see Delia, Oak, Daisy and Mr. Mime they're all currently outside along with Ash's Pokemon they're watching the TV as Delia speaks.
"Look it's Ash!" Delia says happily as Ash's Pokemon let out a loud cheer seeing their trainer. Next, we go to the Alola region in Kukui's house we see Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, Sophocles, Lillie, Kukui and Burnet. They're all sitting on the couch and have their eyes glued to the TV. In the Johto region in the Cianwood City Pokemon Center Bea, Korrina and their Pokemon are watching the TV. In the Sinnoh region in Twinleaf town Diamond along with Dawn, Johanna and Platinum are watching the TV. In the Kalos region Calem, Greninja and Sycamore are watching the TV and all of the gym leaders in the Kanto region are watching the league as well. We also see Gladion along with his Midnight Lycanroc and Umbreon they are currently in a Pokemon Center in the Johto region and are also watching the league. In the Unova region Iris and Cilan are also watching the league in a Pokemon Center. We now come to the Hoenn region inside the Petalburg Gym we see Norman, Brenden, Max and Norman's wife they also have their eyes glued to the TV Norman then speaks.
"Hey May, don't you want to watch?!" Norman asks as May speaks.
"Not interested" May responds as she heads outside and begins to ride her bike. The rest of the family shrug their shoulders, they turn their heads back to the TV as we now come back to the stadium. Ash along with his Pokemon have made it to their side of the battlefield they wait for their opponent as the announcer speaks.
"Now for his opponent the famous magician who makes flashy moves on the battlefield let's give it up for the Astonishing Mandi!" The announcer says as on the other side of the battlefield Mandi appears from a cloud of smoke. He then waves at the crowd as most of the girls let out a loud cheer for him hurting the group's ears the cheering then stops as Mandi looks at Ash and speaks.
"I hope you're ready to lose because that's the only outcome for you" Mandi states he grabs a Pokeball and holds it forward as Ash speaks.
"The only one who's losing is you!" Ash responds with his Pokemon nodding Mandi smirks as the ref makes himself known and speaks.
"This is a 5v5 single battle both trainers are allowed to make substitutions at any time and whoever knocks out all of their opponents Pokemon first will be declared the winner" The ref says with Ash and Mandi nodding as he continues to speak.
"Now before the battle begins let's see what kind of battlefield you'll battle in" The ref says as everyone turns their heads to look at a screen. The screen showcases 5 battlefields consisting of plain, grass, water, ice and rock. A light then appears as it begins to glow on each image a few seconds later the light stops landing on the water field the ref then speaks.
"It's decided you'll battle on a water field" The ref says with the two boys nodding as everyone sees that the field in front of them changes into a water field with landing platforms for the Pokemon to stand on in the stands Misty speaks.
"This should be a good field for Ash's water types" Misty says with the group agreeing as the ref speaks.
"Now both trainers please send out your first Pokemon!" The ref calls as Mandi speaks.
"Here I come Ash get ready to lose Go Exeggutor!" Mandi says sending the Coconut Pokemon in it lands on one of the water platforms and has a smile on its face Ash grabs a Pokeball and speaks.
"An Exeggutor huh? Then I'll go with this one Rowlet I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as the green owl appears. Rowlet gives a "Row!" then lands on one of the water platforms ready to battle in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Ashy Kins is using Rowlet first" Giselle says as Misty speaks.
"It looks like Rowlet's wide awake too and is ready for battle" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Rowlet knows that this is an important battle for Ash so it can't be lazy" Brock says with the group nodding back on the battlefield Mandi speaks.
"A Rowlet? you truly believe that baby owl can defeat my Exeggutor?" Mandi asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I'm confident Let's do this Rowlet!" Ash responds as Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer on the owl with Rowlet nodding in agreement the ref then speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokemon you may now begin!" The ref calls Ash then makes the first move.
"Rowlet Aerial Ace!" Ash calls before Mandi can call for a command Rowlet quickly shoots forward at blinding speed and hits Exeggutor's chest. The coconut Pokemon coughs in pain as it's sent flying and crashes into the wall behind Mandi. Mandi along with some of the crowd have shocked looks on their faces they look at Exeggutor and see it groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! good job Rowlet!" Ash cheers with Rowlet smiling Mandi then speaks.
"That was just a lucky shot Exeggutor use Psyshock!" Mandi calls Exeggutor stands back up and fires multiple orbs of psychic energy they head for Rowlet as Ash calls for a command.
"Rowlet dodge then when you see an opening use Aerial Ace again!" Ash calls with Rowlet nodding it quickly flies in the air and is able to easily maneuver through the psychic orbs. Rowlet then begins to speed up it heads for Exeggutor as Mandi calls for a command.
"Exeggutor use Protect then Hypnosis!" Mandi calls surprising Ash Exeggutor quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Rowlet's attack, Exeggutor then fires hypnotic waves which start to put Rowlet to sleep. The owl tries to fight through it, but can't Rowlet then falls on the land platform that Exeggutor's on and goes asleep Ash then speaks.
"Rowlet!" Ash calls but gets no response as the owl is sound asleep Leaf then speaks.
"This is bad it's going to be hard for Ash to wake up Rowlet" Leaf says in worry with everyone else having a worried expression too as Mandi speaks.
"Now Exeggutor use Psychic!" Mandi calls before Ash can call for a command Exeggutor's eyes glow blue it fires the psychic waves that grab Rowlet sending it high into the air then slams it back down on one of the land platforms Ash then speaks.
"Rowlet!" Ash calls out in concern when the smoke clears Rowlet's still asleep but groaning in pain as Mandi speaks.
"Hah! this is too easy Exeggutor end it with Sludge Bomb!" Mandi calls Exeggutor fires multiple sludge bombs at the sleeping owl as they're about to hit it Ash smirks and speaks.
"Rowlet use Sleep Talk!" Ash calls before the poison bombs hit Rowlet the green owl disappears then re appears in front of Exeggutor its feet glow in dark energy and kicks Exeggutor in the face using Sucker Punch making the coconut Pokemon cough in pain as it's sent flying and lands on one of the other land platforms. Rowlet then lands back on one of the land platforms, it opens its eyes and looks around as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! way to go Rowlet!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie Mandi has a shocked look on his face in the stands Joe speaks.
"Wait when did Ash teach Rowlet Sleep Talk?" Joe asks as Brock speaks.
"Early this morning when Ash switched out his Pokemon he decided to do some last-minute training with them and that's when he taught Rowlet Sleep Talk" Brock responds with Joe nodding everyone then looks back at the battlefield Mandi looks at Exeggutor and speaks.
"Exeggutor stand up you're not done yet!" Mandi says with the coconut Pokemon nodding it stands back up glaring at Rowlet with the owl doing the same Mandi then speaks.
"Well now you certainly surprised me, but I'm done with surprises Exeggutor use Psyshock!" Mandi calls Exeggutor fires multiple psychic orbs they head for Rowlet as Ash speaks.
"Rowlet counter with Air Slash!" Ash calls Rowlet's wings glow as it fires the slashes of wind, they collide with the Psychic orbs creating multiple explosions and a dust cloud Mandi then speaks.
"Exeggutor get rid of this cloud of dust with Psychic!" Mandi calls Exeggutor's eyes glow as it uses Psychic to clear the battlefield of dust. When the dust cloud is gone neither Mandi nor Exeggutor see Rowlet anywhere Mandi then speaks.
"Where did it go?" Mandi questions as he's trying to find Rowlet the green owl appears behind Exeggutor as Ash calls for a command.
"Rowlet Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Rowlet quickly hits Exeggutor in the back with the move making the coconut Pokemon cough in pain Mandi then speaks.
"Exeggutor grab it with Psychic!" "Oh no you don't Rowlet use Shadow Sneak!" Both trainers call before Exeggutor can fire the waves of psychic energy Rowlet summons a ghostly figure that slaps Exeggutor across the face making it slide back a few feet Mandi then calls for his next attack.
"Exeggutor Hyper Beam!" Mandi calls Exeggutor fires the orange blast as it's about to hit Rowlet Ash calls for a command.
"Dodge Rowlet use Aerial Ace then end it with Tackle!" Ash calls Rowlet easily dodges the orange beam it shoots forward and hits Exeggutor making it groan in pain. Rowlet then kicks Exeggutor in the stomach and sends it flying making it crash into the wall behind Mandi the teen looks at Exeggutor and speaks.
"Exeggutor!" Mandi calls when the smoke clears everyone can see that Exeggutor is knocked out the ref makes the call.
"Exeggutor's unable to battle Rowlet's the winner!" The ref calls as the crowd cheers Ash then speaks.
"Yeah, great job Rowlet!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer Rowlet looks at them and smiles. Back at Oak's lab Delia, Oak, Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's Pokemon cheer they're happy that Rowlet got the first win. Back in the stadium Ash's friends cheer too as Joe speaks.
"I was a bit nervous in the beginning but Ash and Rowlet managed to win" Joe says with the others nodding they then see Rowlet fly over to Ash, Ash picks up the owl and speaks.
"Good job Rowlet you got us the first win" Ash says happily with the green owl nodding Rowlet then closes its eyes and goes asleep. Ash is a little surprised that Rowlet went asleep but smiles he pulls out its Pokeball and speaks.
"You worked hard today Rowlet thank you and take a good rest" Ash says he returns the sleeping owl back to its Pokeball then puts it back on his belt. On the other side of the battlefield Mandi has a surprised look on his face he then recomposes himself and returns Exeggutor he looks back at the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"So, what did you think about my Rowlet?" Ash asks as Mandi speaks.
"I'll admit it was rather impressive but that doesn't matter I'm still going to defeat you Go Venomoth!" Mandi says bringing in the poison moth Pokemon it flies in the air as Ash speaks.
"So, a Venomoth's next in that case Froakie I choose you!" Ash says with the blue frog nodding Froakie hops on the battlefield landing on one of the land platforms it looks at Venomoth with Venomoth looking at it Mandi then speaks.
"You're sending in your baby Froakie next? Heh, you're just giving us a free win" Mandi says having a confident look on his face as Ash speaks.
"You shouldn't underestimate my Froakie it may be young but it's strong" Ash says with Froakie nodding Mandi then scoffs the ref calls for the battle to continue as Mandi calls for the first move.
"Fine then take this Venomoth use Quiver Dance then Bug Buzz!" Mandi calls the poison moth dances raising its Special attack, Special defense and Speed. Venomoth then fires out a wave of green bug energy as Ash calls for a command.
"Froakie dive in the water to dodge!" Ash calls the blue frog quickly dives in the water dodging the attack which destroys the land platform Mandi then speaks.
"You think hiding in the water will save you? Venomoth use Gust to bring Froakie out of the water!" Mandi calls Venomoth starts flapping its wings fast creating a small tornado it hits the water going to hit Froakie as Ash calls for a command.
"Froakie quick use Bounce!" Ash calls as the Gust is about to hit Froakie the blue Frog glows blue then shoots out of the water dodging the Gust and flies high in the air. Froakie heads for Venomoth as it goes to punch it Mandi calls for a command.
"Venomoth use Substitute!" Mandi calls surprising Ash when Froakie goes to hit Venomoth the poison moth quickly creates a clone letting it take Froakie's punch instead Mandi then calls for his next command.
"Now use Giga Drain!" Mandi calls Venomoth quickly appears behind Froakie its teeth glow a bright green as it goes to bite down on the frog Ash smirks and calls for his command.
"Froakie use Double Team to dodge!" Ash calls surprising Mandi as Froakie creates multiple clones of itself successfully dodging Venomoth's attack. Froakie then appears behind Venomoth it puts its hands together as Ash calls for a command.
"Now Water Pulse!" Ash calls before Mandi can counter Froakie fires the water ball it hits Venomoth's back and sends it crashing back down on one of the land platforms as Mandi speaks.
"Venomoth!" Mandi calls the poison moth groans in pain but can still battle it looks up in the air and sees Froakie heading toward it as Ash calls for a command.
"Now use Cut!" "Venomoth Signal Beam!" Both trainers call Froakie summons a long white blade from its right hand it goes to hit Venomoth but the poison moth quickly fires the bug beam, Froakie brings its blade down and connects with the beam. Froakie tries to cut through it but can't as the bug beam pushes the blue frog away Froakie then lands back on one of the land platforms as Venomoth flies back in the air Mandi then speaks.
"Now Venomoth use Morning Sun!" Mandi calls Venomoth glows a bright white as it heals itself back to full health Ash grits his teeth and speaks.
"Great now what?" Ash says to himself he looks forward while Mandi has a smile on his face in the stands Brock speaks.
"That was smart thinking on Mandi's part to have Venomoth use Morning Sun to heal the damage it got from Substitute and Froakie's Water Pulse" Brock says as Ritchie speaks.
"Yeah, and now it's like Venomoth didn't take any damage" Ritchie responds as Jackie speaks.
"Froakie hasn't taken any damage either so Ash can still turn this battle around" Jackie says with Brock and Ritchie nodding. Meanwhile Misty (along with Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi), Leaf, Giselle (waving her Go Ash flag), Joe and AJ are cheering on Ash and Froakie. Back on the battlefield Ash is currently thinking on what to do next as Mandi speaks.
"Seeing as you're taking your sweet time thinking I'll attack Venomoth use Air Slash!" Mandi calls Venomoth's wings glow as it fires the slashes of wind at Froakie Ash quickly calls for a command.
"Froakie use Aerial Ace to destroy the Air Slash!" Ash calls Froakie's fist and feet glow blue it begins to punch/kick the slashes of wind. As Froakie is doing that Venomoth appears in front of the frog surprising it as Mandi calls for a command.
"Now Venomoth use Poison Powder!" "Froakie quick use Double Team to dodge!" Both trainers call when Venomoth fires the poison powder Froakie quickly creates multiple clones dodging the attack. Froakie along with its clones jump in the air as Ash calls for a command.
"Now use Bubblebeam!" Ash calls Froakie along with its clones take a deep breath and fire multiple bubbles from their mouths. They head for Venomoth about to hit it as Mandi calls for a command.
"Venomoth blow those bubbles away with Gust!" Mandi calls Venomoth flaps its wings fast creating a big tornado that destroys the Bubblebeam along with the clones and sucks in the real Froakie. Froakie begins to spin around in the gust groaning in pain when the gust disappears Venomoth appears in front of Froakie it has its teeth ready as Mandi speaks.
"Venomoth use Giga Drain!" "Froakie quick throw your Frubbles at Venomoth!" Both trainers call when Venomoth goes to bite Froakie the frog quickly throws the white Frubbles in Venomoths face making it stop its advances as Mandi speaks.
"That won't stop us Venomoth use Signal Beam in front of you!" Mandi calls before Ash can call for a command Venomoth quickly fires the bug beam that hits Froakie's stomach. Froakie coughs in pain, it's then sent back down crashing on one of the landing platforms as Ash speaks.
"Froakie are you okay?!" Ash asks in concern Froakie stands back up it looks at Ash and nods but groans in pain Ash then begins to think.
"This is bad if things keep going like this Froakie will be knocked out if only there was a way for Froakie to stop Venomoth" Ash says to himself as he's thinking he remembers that when Charizard was a Charmeleon he would have it jump on the opponents back and deal a lot of damage Ash then speaks.
"Yes, that might work" Ash says to himself he looks at Froakie and speaks.
"Froakie I just came up with an idea hang in there!" Ash says with Froakie nodding as Mandi speaks.
"Whatever idea you thought of doesn't matter as my Venomoth will still defeat your frog. Now Venomoth use Air Slash!" Mandi calls Venomoth quickly fires the slashes of wind as Ash calls for a command.
"Froakie use Double Team to dodge!" Ash calls Froakie quickly makes multiple clones of itself and dodges the move allowing the clones to get hit instead Mandi then calls for his next attack.
"Now use Gust!" "Froakie counter with Water Pulse!" Both trainers call Venomoth fires the Gust while Froakie shoots out the water ball from its hands the two moves collide creating an explosion. Ash quickly calls for a command, but no one can hear it except for Froakie Mandi then speaks.
"It's over for your Froakie Venomoth use Acrobatics!" Mandi calls Venomoth glows blue it shoots forward and hits what looks like Froakie and destroys it shocking everyone as Mandi speaks.
"Wait those were Frubbles in the shape of Froakie where did the real one go?" Mandi says as he and Venomoth begin looking for the frog Ash then speaks.
"Froakie jump on Venomoth's back!" Ash calls Froakie quickly bursts out from the water and lands on Venomoths back shocking Mandi and the poison moth as Mandi speaks.
"But how?" Mandi questions as Ash speaks.
"After the Water Pulse and Gust created an explosion, I had Froakie create a Frubble version of itself then had it hide in the water. After Venomoth attacked the fake Froakie I knew that was our chance and had Froakie jump on Venomoths back" Ash answers shocking Mandi along with everyone else at the strategy he came up with. In the stands Ash's friends continue to cheer him on as Mandi speaks.
"Just because it's on Venomoths back doesn't mean anything Venomoth shake that Frog off your back!" Mandi calls Venomoth begins flying around trying to get Froakie off its back as Ash calls for a command.
"Froakie use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Froakie covers its fist in blue flying energy and begins to repeatedly punch Venomoths back making the moth groan in pain as Mandi calls for a command.
"Venomoth use Poison Powder!" "Froakie use Bubblebeam to push Venomoth down!" Both trainers call before Venomoth can fire the poison powder Froakie quickly shoots out multiple bubbles from its mouth which hit Venomoths back. Venomoth is then sent crashing down landing on one of the land platforms the poison moth then sees Froakie heading towards it as Ash calls for a command.
"Now Froakie use Cut!" Ash calls Froakie summons a white blade from its right hand as it goes to hit Venomoth Mandi calls for a command.
"Venomoth blow it away with Signal beam!" "Froakie dodge then hit it with Water Pulse!" Both trainers call Venomoth fires the bug beam as it's about to hit Froakie the frog quickly dodges and continues falling. Froakie then quickly summons a ball of water with its right hand it gets closer to the poison moth and hits Venomoth with Water Pulse creating an explosion. When the explosion clears everyone can see Froakie panting while standing over a defeated Venomoth the ref makes the call.
"Venomoth is unable to battle Froakie is the winner!" The ref calls as the crowd lets out a loud cheer for Ash and Froakie as Ash speaks.
"Way to go Froakie!" "Pika!" "Rio!" Ash, Pikachu and Riolu cheer Froakie then happily hops back towards them and jumps in Ash's arms allowing the boy to hug Froakie. In the stands Ash's friends let out a loud cheer for him while on the other side of the battlefield Mandi's disappointed that Venomoth lost but then returns it. Mandi grabs his next Pokeball and throws it.
"Go Machoke!" Mandi says bringing in the superpower Pokemon. Machoke lands on one of the land platforms and flexes its muscles Ash then speaks.
"So, a Machoke's next" Ash says he then looks at Riolu tugging on his shirt he looks at the aura puppy and speaks.
"You want to battle next Riolu?" Ash asks with Riolu nodding Ash smiles and speaks.
"Okay Riolu I choose you!" Ash says Riolu jumps forward landing on one of the land platforms the aura puppy is excited to battle and raises its fist in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Rio Kins is next Go! Rio Kins!" Giselle cheers happily as Misty speaks.
"Machoke should be a good opponent for Riolu" Misty says with the others nodding back on the battlefield Mandi looks at Riolu and speaks.
"Heh another baby you may have gotten lucky before, but your luck ends here!" Mandi says with Machoke nodding as Ash speaks.
"Bring it!" Ash says with Riolu nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as Mandi makes the first move.
"Machoke use Mach Punch!" "Riolu Block!" Both trainers call Machoke dashes forward and instantly reaches Riolu. As Machoke goes to punch Riolu the aura puppy quickly brings up its arms and successfully blocks the punch making it skid back a few feet as Mandi calls for his next command.
"Machoke use Mega Punch!" "Riolu use Double Team then Low Kick!" Both trainers call Machoke's fist glows when it goes to punch Riolu the aura puppy quickly summons multiple clones of itself dodging the attack. The real Riolu then jumps forward and kicks Machoke's left leg making it groan in pain and start to fall as Ash calls for a command.
"Riolu use Power Up Punch!" Ash calls before Mandi can call for a command Riolu's left fist glows orange and uppercuts Machoke sending it soaring in the air then comes crashing back down on one of the land platforms on Mandi's side landing on its back. Riolu then lands back on its platform and can feel its attack power increase as Ash speaks.
"Great job Riolu!" "Pika!" "Fro!" Ash, Pikachu and Froakie cheer with Riolu nodding Mandi then speaks.
"Machoke get back up and use Bulk Up!" Mandi calls Mackoke stands back up it roars increasing its attack/defense Mandi then calls for his next command.
"Now Stone Edge!" Mandi calls Machoke roars as it fires multiple sharp stones at Riolu Ash quickly makes a command.
"Riolu use Vacuum Wave to destroy them!" Ash calls both of Riolu's fist glow as it begins to punch the air fast sending out multiple waves of fighting energy that collide with the stone edge easily destroying it. While Riolu keeps using Vacuum Wave Machoke appears in front of Riolu shocking the aura puppy and Ash as Mandi calls for a command.
"Now Brick Break!" "Riolu back away then use High Jump Kick!" Both trainers call when Machoke brings down its hand Riolu does a backwards cartwheel dodging the attack making Machoke hit the platform instead. Riolu then jumps forward, its right leg glows white and knees Machoke in the face causing some damage. Machoke groans in pain but it begins to clinch its right fist as Mandi calls for a command.
"Now Machoke use Dynamic Punch!" Mandi calls before Ash can make a command Machoke uppercuts Riolu with its right fist sending the aura puppy high in the air. Machoke jumps after Riolu and grabs it as Mandi calls for a command.
"Now Machoke use Seismic Toss!" "Riolu try to break out of there!" Both trainers, call Riolu tries to break free of Machokes hold but the superpower Pokemon holds on tightly. Machoke then starts to spin making Riolu dizzy, Machoke stops spinning and throws Riolu back down as hard as it can. Riolu crashes onto one of the landing platforms, almost breaking it as Ash speaks.
"Riolu!" Ash calls in worry when the dust cloud clears Riolu stands back up she can still battle but the Dynamic Punch and Seismic Toss did a lot of damage to it Ash then speaks.
"Riolu above you!" Ash yells Riolu looks up it sees Machoke falling towards Riolu and has its arms crossed Mandi calls for a command.
"Machoke use Cross Chop!" "Riolu quick dodge!" Both trainers call when Machoke's close to hitting Riolu the aura puppy quickly jumps out of the way letting Machoke hit the land platform instead Ash then calls for a command.
"Now Riolu Vacuum Wave!" Ash calls Riolu's fist glow as it begins to punch the air rapidly sending out multiple vacuum waves at Machoke Mandi quickly calls for a command.
"Mackoke run forward and block!" Mandi calls Machoke brings up its arms it begins running forward and easily passes through the Vacuum Wave. Machoke then reaches Riolu it raises its fist as Mandi speaks.
"Now Dynamic Punch!" "Riolu use Double Team to dodge!" Both trainers call when Machoke goes to punch Riolu the aura puppy quickly creates multiple clones of itself dodging the attack Mandi isn't worried as he calls for his next command.
"Machoke blow them away with Stone Edge!" Mandi calls Machoke roars as it fires multiple sharp rocks in different directions. The sharp stones easily destroy all of Riolu's clones and hits the real Riolu making it cough in pain as it's sent flying and lands on another land platform Ash then speaks.
"Riolu are you okay?!" Ash asks in worry as Riolu struggles to stand back up Mandi then speaks.
"It's over for your Riolu Machoke use Mach Punch!" Mandi calls Machoke roars it shoots forward and instantly reaches Riolu. As Machoke is about to punch Riolu the aura puppy stands back up it puts its hands together charging up an Aura Sphere, Ash notices he smiles and speaks.
"Sorry Mandi but your Machoke is going down instead Riolu dodge then use Aura Sphere!" Ash calls surprising Mandi as Machoke's fist is about to hit Riolu the aura puppy dodges the punch it successfully forms the Aura Sphere she jumps forward getting close to Machoke's chest and yells.
"Rio!" Riolu yells as she launches the blue ball of fighting energy which surprises everyone in the stadium and those watching on TV. The Aura Sphere hits Machoke's chest making it cough in pain, Machoke is then sent flying and crashes into the wall behind Mandi. Everyone looks at Machoke they see it fall on the ground knocked out as the ref makes the call.
"Machoke is unable to battle Riolu is the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie to cheer and so does everyone in the crowd, in the stands Joe speaks.
"I didn't know that Ash's Riolu knew Aura Sphere they usually learn the move when they evolve into Lucario" Joe says with Giselle, AJ, Leaf and Jackie nodding as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, we were surprised when we saw it too. It seems Ash's Riolu was able to learn the move early" Brock says with the 4 kids nodding. We now go into the building where Red, Goodshow, Blue and the Elite 4 are they've surprised looks on their faces as Bruno speaks.
"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that" Bruno says with the other adults nodding as Red speaks.
"I knew that Riolu was strong, but I didn't expect it to know Aura Sphere already" Red says with the other adults nodding as Blue speaks.
"Ash will also need to be careful as there are people out there who'd want to steal a Riolu that already knows Aura Sphere" Blue says the adults nod in agreement. Back on the battlefield Riolu jumps towards Ash with Ash catching it he looks at Riolu and speaks.
"Congrats Riolu I knew you could do it!" Ash says happily with Riolu having a proud smile on her face. Ash then puts Riolu down letting it interact with Pikachu and Froakie who tell it good job, Froakie also gives Riolu a hardy slap on the back for its efforts making the aura puppy happy. On the other side of the battlefield Mandi has a shocked look on his face and speaks.
"What was that? A Riolu using Aura Sphere? Impossible" Mandi says to himself he then returns Machoke back to its Pokeball. Mandi then calms himself down he looks at Ash smiles and speaks.
"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that good show" Mandi says as he claps for Ash the boy looks at him and speaks.
"Are you not worried? you only have two Pokemon left" Ash asks as Mandi speaks.
"Why should I be worried when my last two Pokemon will easily defeat the rest of your Pokemon" Mandi responds having a confident look on his face making Ash curious. Mandi then pulls out a Pokeball he looks forward and speaks.
"Now feast your eyes here's my 4th Pokemon come out Kingdra!" Mandi says he throws the ball forward as what looks like a bigger version of Horsea appears it lands in the water and has a serious look on its face. Ash, Leaf and Ritchie take out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Kingdra the Dragon Pokemon a Water/Dragon Type and the final evolved form of Horsea. Kingdra normally rests on the ocean floor, but in periods of high activity, even a simple yawn has enough power to create whirlpools." The Pokedex says in the stands Misty speaks.
"A Kingdra's next Ash will need to be careful with this one" Misty says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash takes out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Totodile I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as the blue croc appears from its Pokeball and lands on one of the land platforms. Totodile smiles then begins to happily dance putting on a show for the crowd as they clap for it in the stands Ritchie speaks.
"This is my first time seeing a dancing Totodile" Ritchie says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, it's pretty unusual but Totodile's still a strong Pokemon" Brock says with Ritchie nodding. Everyone else continues to cheer Ash on as Mandi speaks.
"A dancing Totodile? Hmph no matter Kingdra shall easily beat it" Mandi says with Kingdra nodding as Ash speaks.
"Get ready Totodile!" Ash says the blue croc nods it gets in a battle stance the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash calls for the first move.
"Totodile use Dragon Claw!" Ash calls Totodile covers its claws in green dragon energy and jumps forward going to hit Kingdra as Mandi makes a command.
"Kingdra use Ice Beam to knock it away!" Mandi calls Kingdra fires the icy beam and knocks Totodile away making it land back on one of the land platforms Mandi then calls for his next commands.
"Kingdra use Focus Energy then Waterfall!" Mandi calls Kingdra tightens its focus covers its body in water and shoots towards Totodile as Ash makes a command.
"Totodile dodge then use Dragon Dance!" Ash calls Totodile narrowly dodges Kingdra's attack by jumping to another land platform. The blue croc begins to dance increasing its attack/speed Ash calls for his next command.
"Now Totodile use Dragon Claw!" "Kingdra Dragon Pulse!" Both trainers call Totodile covers its claws in green dragon energy and jumps at Kingdra going to hit it. Kingdra sees Totodile heading towards it, Kingdra quickly fires the big dragon beam at Totodile as the croc's claws connect with the Dragon pulse. Totodile tries its best to push the dragon pulse back but can't Totodile is then consumed by the beam and is sent flying. Totodile crashes on another land platform as Ash speaks.
"Totodile are you okay?!" Ash asks with Totodile nodding it stands back up groaning in pain as Kingdra then suddenly appears behind it Mandi calls for his next command.
"It's over for your Totodile Kingdra use Hydro Pump!" Mandi calls Kingdra takes in a deep breath it's about to fire the Hydro Pump as Ash begins to think.
"I need to think of something fast or that Hydro Pump will do a lot of damage to Totodile" Ash says to himself he continues to look at Kingdra he sees its mouth and remembers the idea he came up with for Blaines Darmanitan. Ash gets a smile on his face and calls for his next command.
"Totodile quick use Crunch on Kingdra's mouth!" Ash calls Totodile nods it quickly bites down on Kingdra's mouth before it can fire the Hydro Pump. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Mandi speaks.
"What the?!" Mandi says in surprise as Ash speaks.
"Great job Totodile keep holding on!" Ash says with the croc nodding. Everyone then notices that Kingdra's body starts to get bigger as Giselle speaks.
"What's going on with Kingdra?" Giselle asks as Brock speaks.
"Since Totodile is holding onto Kingdra's mouth tightly the Hydro Pump can't go anywhere and it's starting to fill up Kingdra's body" Brock says as Jackie speaks.
"So, if Totodile lets go of Kingdra's mouth then it'll cause all of the water it was holding to come out" Jackie says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Kingdra continues to get bigger and bigger Ash then speaks.
"Okay Totodile let go!" Ash says with Totodile nodding the blue croc lets go of Kingdra's mouth when that happens the Hydro Pump that Kingdra was holding in comes out and makes Kingdra fly around. Kingdra continues to fly until it crashes back on one of the land platforms Mandi then speaks.
"Kingdra!" Mandi calls in worry as Kingdra's groaning in pain Ash sees this as his opportunity and calls for his next command.
"Okay Totodile use Ice Punch!" Ash calls Totodile covers its fist in ice and shoots towards Kingdra as Mandi calls for a command.
"Kingdra use Protect then Hyper Beam!" Mandi calls Kingdra quickly summons a protective barrier and successfully blocks Totodile's attack. When the barrier goes down Kingdra's about to fire the orange blast right in Totodile's face, but Kingdra suddenly stops as it begins to cough surprising Mandi in the stands Ritchie speaks.
"Shooting all that water from its mouth must've hurt Kingdra's throat which makes it harder for it to fire the Hyper Beam" Ritchie says with the others nodding back on the battlefield Ash quickly makes a command.
"Totodile use Ice Fang then Ice Punch!" Ash calls Totodile nods it covers its teeth in ice and bites down on Kingdra. Kingdra cries out in pain as the ice from Totodile's teeth then freezes Kingdra's entire body shocking Mandi. Totodile then covers its right fist in ice and punches the frozen Kingdra. Kingdra is sent flying pass Mandi hitting the wall behind him, Kingdra breaks out of the ice and falls on the ground knocked out as the ref makes the call.
"Kingdra is unable to battle Totodile's the winner!" The ref calls allowing Ash, his Pokemon along with the crowd to cheer. Mandi is surprised that his Kingdra lost easily he returns the mon telling it thank you, in the building where Red is at Lorelai speaks.
"I must say that was an impressive idea he came up with" Lorelai says as Blue speaks.
"I agree and I can see you doing something like that Red" Blue says while looking at the man who nods as Rose speaks.
"Hey, look at the TV I think we're going to see another amazing thing" Rose says catching the other adult's attention they look back at the TV as we come back to the battlefield. While Totodile's doing a happy dance that it won it suddenly stops dancing as Ash speaks.
"Um is something wrong Totodile?" Ash asks but Totodile doesn't respond as it suddenly glows white shocking everyone as Ash speaks.
"Totodile's evolving!" Ash says happily as everyone continues to look at the glowing gator. Totodile grows a foot and 7 inches taller. Gains 3 red spikes, one on its head, 2 on its back and 1 on its tail. Its jaw becomes bigger with blue on top and yellow on the bottom. There's also a yellow-blue pattern on its chest resembling animal skin. When the evolution stops what was once a Totodile now stands a Croconaw, the big jaw Pokemon looks forward as the announcer speaks.
"I don't believe my eyes folks we've the first evolution in the league contestant Ash's Totodile evolved into a Croconaw!" the announcer says as everyone is in awe Ash then speaks.
"Croconaw?" Ash questions he takes out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Croconaw the Big Jaw Pokemon a pure Water Type and the evolution of Totodile. It opens its mouth wide and attacks, and if it loses its teeth, they regrow quickly." The Pokedex says Ash continues to look at the gator as Croconaw turns to him. Croconaw and Ash stare at each other for a few seconds until Croconaw jumps at Ash and tackles him to the ground. Some of the people in the crowd get worried expressions on their faces, but as they continue to watch they see that Croconaw is happily hugging Ash (also affectionately nibbles his arm) while the boy is laughing Ash then speaks.
"Hahahahaha Croconaw stop that tickles" Ash says with Croconaw nodding it gets off Ash letting the boy stand up Ash then looks at Croconaw and speaks.
"Congrats on evolving Croconaw!" Ash says while smiling Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Rowlet (who came out of its Pokeball) walk over to Croconaw and congratulate it too making the gator happy. Croconaw then starts to break dance putting on a show for everyone making them clap for it in the stands Misty speaks.
"Looks like Croconaw can still dance" Misty says with everyone else agreeing Quaxly who's currently on Misty's shoulder is really happy for its friend and hopes to evolve one day as well. Back at Oak's ranch Ash's water Pokemon along with Gabite, Krookodile, Crocalor and Tyrunt are happy that Totodile evolved, meanwhile back in the Indigo league on the other side of the battlefield Mandi's getting mad and begins to think to himself.
"This shouldn't be happening I should be the one receiving those cheers not this brat" Mandi says to himself in anger. Mandi then calms himself down, he pulls out his last Pokeball and speaks.
"But with you I'll surely win" Mandi says while looking at the Pokeball he then looks over at Ash and speaks.
"I'll admit to have driven me this far into a corner is very impressive of you but your luck ends here with this my final Pokemon Go! Crobat!" Mandi says he throws the ball forward as a big Crobat appears Ash looks at it and speaks.
"That Crobat's big" Ash says with his Pokemon agreeing in the stands Giselle speaks.
"So, his last one's a Crobat it looks as big as Koga's" Giselle comments with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"And it's probably stronger too" Brock says as the group nod. Back on the battlefield Ash continues to look at Crobat he can feel a lot of power from it he looks at Pikachu and speaks.
"You ready to battle Pikachu?" Ash asks with the yellow mouse agreeing Ash nods and speaks.
"Okay Pikachu let's-" Before Ash can finish another one of his Pokeball's open up as his shiny Dratini appears surprising the boy and his Pokemon Ash looks at it and speaks.
"Dratini why'd you come out?" Ash asks as Dratini speaks.
"Tini, tini, tini" Dratini says telling Ash that it wants to contribute to the team and battle too Ash then speaks.
"Are you sure Dratini? That Crobat is strong" Ash asks with Dratini nodding she gives Ash a look showcasing that she will not lose. Ash looks into Dratini's eyes he smiles and speaks.
"Okay Dratini if you're confident I'll support you" Ash says while smiling Pikachu, Croconaw, Rowlet, Riolu and Froakie walk up to Dratini they give it support too making the dragon happy as Ash speaks.
"Okay Dratini I choose you!" Ash says with the dragon nodding Dratini then jumps forward and lands on one of the land platforms. When Dratini makes itself known many people are surprised to see a shiny Dratini, back at Oak's ranch Ash's Charizard, Gyarados, Gabite, Flygon, Noivern and Tyrunt are happy to see Dratini on the battlefield. They along with Ash's other Pokemon, Delia, Mr. mime, Oak and Daisy begin cheering for it, we come back to the battlefield and go to the stands as Leaf speaks.
"Ash's using Dratini next" Leaf says as AJ speaks.
"Will it be able to hold its own against Crobat?" AJ questions as Misty speaks.
"Yes, Dratini's trained a lot with Ash's Charizard, Gyarados and his other dragon types so it's strong" Misty responds with AJ nodding. Back on the battlefield Mandi looks at Ash's Dratini and speaks.
"A Dratini's next huh? Heh looks weak" Mandi says having a confident look on his face as Ash speaks.
"You should know by now that none of my Pokemon are weak Dratini will make you eat those words!" Ash states with Dratini nodding as Mandi speaks.
"We'll see about that once I defeat that weakling, I'll easily defeat the rest of your other Pokemon and win the battle get ready Crobat!" Mandi responds with his Crobat nodding as the ref speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls for the battle to start as Mandi makes the first move.
"Crobat use Air Slash!" Mandi calls Crobat quickly flaps its wings and fires multiple slashes of wind at Dratini they're about to hit the dragon as Ash makes a command.
"Dratini quick dive in the water and use Dragon Dance!" Ash calls Dratini nods it quickly dives under water and successfully dodges the Air Slash. Dratini then begins to spin increasing its attack/speed Mandi then calls for his next command.
"Crobat use Air Slash in the water!" "Dratini use Agility to dodge then use Dragon Rush!" Both trainers call Crobat quickly fires the slashes of wind they go in the water heading for Dratini. Dratini uses Agility and begins to swim in the water at a fast pace, easily dodging all of the slashes of wind and increasing its speed. When Dratini dodges all of the Air Slashes it covers its body in dragon energy shoots out of the water and hits Crobat making the bat cough in pain as Mandi speaks.
"Crobat use Poison Fang!" "Dratini quick jump back into the water!" Both trainers call when Crobat goes to bite Dratini the dragon Pokemon quickly dodges by jumping backwards and dives safely in the water. Mandi gets mad and calls for his next command.
"Crobat use Hurricane to get rid of the water!" Mandi calls Crobat begins to flap its wings fast which summons a large Hurricane. It touches the water and begins to suck all of it out Ash then speaks.
"Dratini quick get away!" Ash calls Dratini tries its best to swim away from the Hurricane but is unable to. Dratini is then sucked into the Hurricane along with the water and begins to spin fast. A few seconds later the Hurricane disappears everyone looks at the battlefield they see that the water along with the landing platforms are gone. Dratini then falls back down on the battlefield groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Dratini are you okay?!" Ash asks Dratini then stands back up it looks at Ash and nods but continues to groan in pain. Dratini then looks at Crobat in the sky as Mandi speaks.
"Hahahahaha there's nowhere for your Dratini to run it's my win Crobat use Poison Fang!" Mandi calls Crobat quickly covers its teeth in poison energy it quickly flies down towards Dratini going to bite it as Ash calls for a command.
"Dratini counter with Iron Tail!" Ash calls Dratini covers its tail in steel energy and collides with Crobat. The two mons begin pushing each other back and forth seeing whose stronger Ash then calls for a command.
"Dratini use Dragon Rage!" Dodge Crobat then use Acrobatics!" Both trainers call Dratini quickly shoots out an orange sphere of Dragon energy but Crobat dodges by flying high into the air. Crobat then glows a bright blue it flies at Dratini at an insane speed and hits it back and forth making Dratini skid back. Dratini groans from pain but can still battle as Mandi calls for his next command.
"This is the end for your Dratini Crobat finish it off with Brave Bird!" Mandi calls Crobat roars it flies towards Dratini covering its body in flames then becomes a shiny blue Ash quickly makes a command.
"Dratini quick dodge!" Ash calls but Dratini doesn't she knows it's risky but stands her ground. Dratini looks at the incoming Crobat and closes her eyes. Dratini begins to remember Charizard's training to use Flamethrower Dratini begins to build up more fire energy. Dratini keeps building up more and more just when Crobat's about to hit Dratini the dragon opens her eyes and yells.
"TINI!" Dratini yells as she launches a giant Flamethrower from her mouth which consumes Crobat. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as they hear Crobat crying out in pain. When the Flamethrower disappears Crobat falls down on the battlefield groaning in pain Ash then looks at Dratini and speaks.
"Dratini did you just master Flamethrower?" Ash asks with Dratini nodding Ash smiles and speaks.
"Yeah! way to go Dratini!" "Pika!" "Rio!" Fro!" "Row!" "Croc!" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie, Rowlet and Croconaw cheer for Dratini making the dragon happy. Back at Oak's ranch the rest of Ash's other Pokemon are happy that Dratini mastered Flamethrower but out of all of them Charizard's the proudest. Back in the stadium everyone was surprised to see Dratini fire a big Flamethrower in the stands Brock speaks.
"I get it now the reason as to why Dratini wanted to battle Crobat was because it felt as though Crobat would push Dratini to its limits and have it master Flamethrower" Brock says with the group nodding they continue to look at the battlefield as Mandi speaks.
"Crobat get up right now!" Mandi calls Crobat nods when it flies back in the air it's suddenly becomes consumed in flames showcasing that it's now burned. Mandi has a surprised look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Nice the Flamethrower even left burn damage" Ash says happily as Mandi speaks.
"Don't think this means you'll win Crobat use Air Slash!" Mandi calls Crobat quickly fires the slashes of wind as Ash calls for a command.
"Dratini use Agility to dodge then use Twister!" Ash calls Dratini shoots forward it easily dodges the slashes of wind and increases its speed more. Dratini then roars creating a big Twister it heads for Crobat as Mandi calls for a command.
"Crobat counter with Hurricane!" Mandi calls Crobat quickly flaps its wings and summons the big Hurricane. The two moves meet in the middle of the battlefield and begin pushing each other back but they then mix together Ash and Mandi call for their next commands.
"Dratini use Dragon Rush!" "Crobat use Brave Bird!" Both trainers call Dratini roars it covers its body in dragon energy and shoots forward. Crobat roars as well it covers its body in a shiny blue and flies forward. Both Dratini and Crobat enter the mixed Hurricane and Twister they reach the middle of the storm and collide. The moment they do they disperse the mixed Hurricane and Twister and begin trying to push each other back to see who's stronger. Crobat was winning at first but Dratini roars increasing the power of her Dragon Rush she breaks through Crobat's Brave Bird and rams her head in the bat's stomach. Crobat coughs in pain and is sent crashing back down on the battlefield Ash then calls for his next command.
"Dratini use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Dratini roars and fires a big Dragon Pulse at Crobat Mandi quickly calls for a command.
"Crobat dodge!" Mandi calls when Crobat's about to dodge it's then consumed in flames again making it stop. Mandi gets a surprised look on his face as the Dragon Pulse is about to hit Crobat Ash yells.
"GO! DRATINI!" "TINI!" Ash and Dratini yell as the Dragon Pulse crashes down on Crobat. Crobat cries out in pain as there's a big explosion that shakes the battlefield and creates a dust cloud. When the dust is clearing everyone can see Dratini land back down on the battlefield she pants but can still battle. The dust then clears completely, everyone looks at Mandi's Crobat and see it lying on its back having no intention of standing back up the ref makes the call.
"Crobat is unable to battle Dratini is the winner seeing as Mandi has no more Pokemon left this means that Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town is the winner and will move onto the next round!" The ref calls Ash gets a big smile on his face and yells.
"ALRIGHT!" "PIKA!" "RIO!" "FRO!" "ROW!" CROC!" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie, Rowlet and Croconaw cheer happily they then run down to the battlefield. Ash picks up Dratini and speaks.
"You did it Dratini great job!" Ash says happily with his other Pokemon congratulating the dragon too Dratini looks at them and smiles as the announcer speaks.
"There it is folks Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town has defeated Mandi without losing a single Pokemon let's give him a round of applause!" The announcer says as most of the people in the crowd and who're watching on TV clap/cheer for Ash. Ash's friends in the stands are happy for him (Giselle is waving her Go! Ash flag and crying tears of joy) Gary along with Harrison are happy that Ash won, Paul smirks then gives a "Hmph" and walks away. Back at Oak's lab Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy along with Ash's Pokemon are happy that their trainer won and give a happy roar. Charizard is also happy that Dratini not only mastered Flamethrower but won its first battle the fire lizard fires a big Flamethrower in the air, Gyarados joins Charizard and fires a big Hydro Pump in the air which shocks Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy along with Ash's other Pokemon. We then go to the people who were watching the battle on TV and a good majority of people are happy that Ash won. Giovanni was watching too and speaks.
"Meh" The man says having an unamused look on his face then turns off the TV we now come back to the stadium and head inside the room Red is in. Rose is happily cheering for Ash while Red has a big smile on his face and is proud of his son. Back on the battlefield Mandi is surprised that he lost he was hoping to stay in the league longer and eventually win. Mandi then lets out a sigh he walks down on the battlefield and lifts up Crobat's head the bat looks at him as Mandi speaks.
"Are you okay Crobat?" Mandi asks with the bat nodding and telling Mandi sorry for losing Mandi then speaks.
"It's fine you along with everyone else did their best" Mandi says with the bat nodding Mandi and Crobat then see Ash along with his Pokemon walk over to them Mandi looks at them and speaks.
"If you came here to make fun of me for losing then go ahead, I deserve it" Mandi says as Ash speaks.
"Make fun of you? No, I'm not going to do that I just wanted to say that the battle was fun" Ash responds Mandi gets a shocked look on his face he looks at Ash and speaks.
"But I was rude to not only you but also your Pokemon" Mandi says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I'll admit you are a bit of a jerk, and I still don't like that you made fun of my Pokemon but at the end of the day my Pokemon and I had a great time battling you and usually when the battle is over, we're all friends" Ash responds smiling with his Pokemon agreeing with him. Mandi looks at Ash, he then looks at Crobat the two then smile and stand back up Mandi looks at Ash and speaks.
"Yes, you're right I'm sorry for making fun of your Pokemon earlier I was just too full of myself I wish you luck for the rest of the league" Mandi says he holds out his hand Ash grabs Mandi's hand and speaks.
"Thanks, I'll do my best and let's battle again one day" Ash says with Mandi nodding the two shake hands then let go when they do everyone in the crowd claps for them. After that, for the rest of the day many other battles happen as it's now nighttime all of the trainers who've won their battles are at the main stadium looking at Goodshow as he speaks.
"Well, I must say the first day of the league was a success you all showcased amazing skills in your battles today congratulations on making it to the top 128" Goodshow says making the trainers happy as the old man continues to speak.
"Now then please look at the screen to see who you'll be facing tomorrow" Goodshow says everyone then look at the screen as it begins to randomize the images. A few seconds later the images stop moving and showcases who's facing who tomorrow Leaf looks at Ash and speaks.
"Who're you facing Ash?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Hmmm it seems like I'll be battling someone named Pete Pebbleman" Ash responds he looks to his left and sees the boy a few feet next to him. The two boys look at each other and smile as Leaf speaks.
"I see and I'll be facing" Leaf says as she begins to look for her picture, she finds it and gets a shocked look on her face as she speaks.
"I'm facing Giselle?!" Leaf says having a surprised look on her face she looks behind her and sees Giselle whose also surprised Giselle then looks at Leaf smiles and speaks.
"I hope you're ready to lose tomorrow because I will defeat you" Giselle states having a confident look on her face Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Hey that's my line" Leaf responds having fire in her eyes. Ritchie, Gary, AJ, Harrison and Jackie see their opponents and have excited looks on their faces Ash then looks at Joe and speaks.
"Hey Joe, who're you battling tomorrow?" Ash asks Joe continues to look at the screen trying to find his picture. A few seconds later he finds it he then sees who his opponent will be he gets surprised and speaks.
"I'm facing Paul tomorrow" Joe responds surprising Ash, Leaf, Gary, Giselle, Ritchie, Jackie and AJ they then look over at Paul who looks at them he then walks away heading to his room AJ then speaks.
"Man, I wanted to face Paul first" AJ says in disappointment Ash then looks at Joe and speaks.
"Joe when you face Paul tomorrow be careful, he's a strong trainer and is very tough to beat. I was only able to beat him once but during that time he wasn't taking the battle seriously" Ash says with Joe nodding as he speaks.
"Thank you for your concern, Ash but I'm confident that I'll beat Paul tomorrow then afterwards I'll beat you and everyone else next" Joe responds while smiling with the others smiling too. After that they all head to their rooms to rest up for their battles tomorrow.
It's now the next day and the battles have begun. Ash called Prof. Oak to switch out his Pokemon for his battle with Pete. When Ash was going to send Riolu and Froakie back to the lab the two-mons declined saying that they wanted to stay with Ash and watch the battles. Prof. Oak was okay with this as Ash doesn't have any plans to use them in battle and they'll just be watching. Currently Ash's having his battle against Pete he has Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie with him. Right now, it's a battle between Ash's Kingler and Pete's Cloyster they're battling on an ice field. There's an explosion we see Kingler and Cloyster slide back to their respective trainers' sides Ash and Pete both have smiles on their faces in the stands Misty speaks.
"It's been pretty even so far" Misty says with Brock, Leaf, Giselle and Joe nodding they keep watching as Ash calls for a command.
"Kingler use Crab Hammer!" Ash calls Kingler covers its big pincer in water and shoots forward going to hit Cloyster as Pete calls for a command.
"Cloyster use Iron Defense!" Pete calls Cloyster goes in its shell and sharply increases its defense. Kingler reaches Cloyster and slams its big pincer hard on Cloyster's shell causing the ice below to crack a little bit. Kingler then lifts up its pincer and sees that Cloyster hasn't taken any damage the king crab is surprised as Ash speaks.
"That's okay Kingler keep using Crab Hammer!" "In that case Cloyster keep using Iron Defense!" Both trainers call their Pokemon nod Cloyster increases its defense more while Kingler covers its big pincer in water and begins to slam it on Cloyster's shell repeatedly. As Kingler keeps slamming its hammer on Cloyster's shell Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer the crab on while Pete continues to cheer on Cloyster. Kingler continues to slam its pincer on Cloyster until it sees that there's a crack on Cloyster's shell Ash notices and speaks.
"Okay Kingler use Swords Dance then Crab Hammer one more time!" Ash calls Kingler nods it sharply increases its attack power and covers its big pincer in water. Pete notices what Ash is going to do but before he can call for a command Kingler slams its big pincer hard on Cloyster's shell and cracks it more as Cloyster groans in pain. A few seconds later Kingler walks back a couple of feet as Cloyster comes out of its shell showcasing that it can't battle anymore the ref then speaks.
"Cloyster is unable to battle Kingler is the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash along with his Pokemon to cheer in the stands Brock speaks.
"Ash knew that if he had Kingler keep slamming its pincer on Cloyster's shell it'll eventually crack giving Kingler an opening to where it could hit that area hard causing more damage to Cloyster and knocking it out." Brock says with Misty, Leaf, Giselle and Joe nodding. Back on the battlefield Pete returns Cloyster to its Pokeball telling it thank you he then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Well, I wasn't expecting that you certainly caught me by surprise" Pete says with Ash nodding Pete takes out his next Pokeball he throws it and speaks.
"Okay Tangrowth Go!" Pete says as he brings out the Vine Pokemon when it appears it lands on the battlefield and gets in a battle stance as Ash speaks.
"So, a Tangrowth's next" Ash says he looks at Kingler and speaks.
"You still want to battle Kingler?" Ash asks with the King crab nodding Ash nods and speaks.
"Okay let's keep going!" Ash says as Kingler faces Tangrowth and begins pinching its pincers together as Pete speaks.
"We're taking Kingler down Tangrowth!" Pete says with the vine Pokemon nodding. Everyone continues to watch the battlefield excited to see who'll attack first the ref calls for the battle to continue as both trainers call for their commands.
"Tangrowth use Bullet Seed!" "Kingler use Cut!" Both trainers call Tangrowth fires the grassy seeds while both of Kingler's pincers turn into long white blades and dashes forward. As Kingler is about to come into contact with the grassy seeds the chapter comes to an end.
