Yume's bedroom. Toys are scattered around, and the room has a generally bright and cheerful atmosphere. Yume is sitting on her bed, carefully holding Mew, who is a plush kitten with wide, expressive gently poking Mew's soft fur. Mew's head tilts slightly.

Yume:(Smiling brightly) You're so soft, and...and you talk! That's amazing! I still can't believe you fell from the sky.

Mew:(In a small, slightly high-pitched voice) It was quite a tumble, I must admit. But, well, here I am!-mya

Yume:(Giggles) I'm so glad you are! I've never met anyone, or… anything, like you before. I guess I should introduce myself properly. I'm Yume, by the way!

Mew:(Looks up at Yume with its wide eyes) Yume… That's a lovely name. It sounds so… full of dreams!-mya

Yume:(Blushes slightly) Hehe, thank you! I like dreams, especially the good ones. But… what about you? Do you have a name?

Mew:(Pauses, seems to be thinking for a moment) Hmmm… A name? I hadn't really thought about it.-mya

Yume:(Tilts her head) Oh? You don't have one? Maybe we could find you one! What sounds… well…you?

Mew suddenly perks up. Her eyes sparkle.

Mew:Actually, I think I do! You said your name is Yume, right?-mya

Yume:(Nods enthusiastically) Yes! Yume!

Mew:Well, if we're going to be partners, and going on dreamy adventures together, then… I think I'd like to be named after you for a little bit.-mya

Yume:(Her eyes widen in surprise) Named after me? You mean…

Mew:(Nods eagerly) Yes! From now on, you can call me Mew… Mew the Second! Or... maybe just plain Mew. But because my friend, Yume, is so awesome... it should be just Mew, like you!-mya

Yume:(Gasps, clapping her hands together) Mew! I love it! It suits you perfectly, and it's so cute! You're Mew, and I'm Yume, and we're… partners!

Mew:(Purrs softly, though there's no engine to be seen) Dream Partners! I like the sound of that.-mya

Yume:(Hugs Mew gently) Me too! Oh, Mew! I'm so excited to find out what amazing things we're going to do together! It's all so… dreamy! (She giggles again)

Mew:(Snuggles slightly closer to Yume) Me too, Yume. Me too! Especially if it means collecting lots of dreamy stones, we've got to make sure you get that wish!-mya

(Yume smiles, holding Mew close, a sense of wonder and excitement filling the room. The first step of a grand adventure has begun.)

(The Next Morning, Yume's room, Yume bouncing into the room, phone in hand, already buzzing with excitement. Mew is perched regally on a cushion, meticulously grooming her (imaginary) fur. Peko is nearby, gazing adoringly at Mew.)

Yume: (Into phone, practically shouting) ...Yes, yes! Mexico! Sun, sand, sombreros! It's going to be amazing, Maira! Okay, so, pack your cutest little luggage, and… oh, hold on a sec.

(Yume lowers the phone, noticing the two kittens.)

Yume: (To Mew and Peko, beaming) Guess what, you two! We're going on an adventure! To Mexico!

Peko: (Eyes widening, looking at Mew) Mexico? Together?

Mew: (Without looking at Peko, sniffing the air) Mexico. How utterly… common.

Yume: (Back on the phone) …Yeah, so, pack light but bring your sunscreen. And guess what? I'm bringing Mew, Peko, and Suu! Isn't that fun? A whole little travel crew!

Peko: (Gasps, her yellow fur seeming to brighten) Oh, Mew, isn't this wonderful? We'll see the world together! Imagine all the new sights and smells!

Mew: (Twitching her nose in disgust) The thought of sharing this "adventure" with that is already making my stuffing bunch up uncomfortably.

Kotoko: (Entering the room, carrying a travel mug) Morning, sunshine. Heard you yelling about Mexico. Bringing the whole plushie posse, huh?

Yume: (Still bubbly) Absolutely! They deserve a vacation too! And it'll be fun! Imagine Mew exploring ancient ruins, and Peko… well, Peko will be enthusiastic about everything!

Peko: (Beaming) I will! Especially if Mew is there! We can share a little tiny sombrero!

Mew: (Scoffs, turning her back to Peko and pointedly looking at Kotoko) The only thing I intend to share is the considerable distance between myself and her.

Kotoko: (Takes a sip of her drink, a faint smirk playing on her lips) Sounds like a recipe for a relaxing getaway.

Yume: (Oblivious to the tension) Oh, it will be! Maira will be there to keep things chill. She's so good at that. (Into the phone) Okay, Maira, so we'll meet you at the airport at…

Peko: (Moving closer to Mew, her voice soft) Mew, think of the beautiful sunsets we could watch together. Maybe we could even find some lovely Mexican flowers.

Mew: (Without turning) The only flower I'd be interested in seeing is one that has miraculously grown a pair of legs and is sprinting in the opposite direction from you.

Kotoko: (Chuckles softly) She's got a way with words, your little friend.

Yume: (Still on the phone) …Right, terminal B, got it. Okay, see you then! (Hangs up, beaming) Alright everyone, Operation Mexico is a go! Start thinking about what you want to pack!

Peko: (Eyes still fixed on Mew, a hopeful lilt in her voice) Maybe a little travel journal? We could record all our wonderful memories together.

Mew: (Glares at Peko over her shoulder, her violet eyes narrowed) The only entry in my journal concerning you would be a detailed account of your relentless and utterly unwelcome affections.

Peko: (Her ears drooping slightly, but her smile unwavering) Oh, Mew… you always have such a… unique way of expressing yourself.

Kotoko: (To Yume, quietly) You sure about this whole "bringing them" thing? This dynamic seems… intense.

Yume: (Waving her hand dismissively) Oh, they'll be fine! Mew just needs to warm up. And Peko is so sweet, she'll win everyone over. Besides, what's an adventure without a little drama?

Mew: (Standing up, stretching dramatically) The only drama I anticipate is the agonizing tedium of being in the same vicinity as her for an extended period.

Peko: (Following Mew like a little yellow shadow) Don't worry, Mew, I'll make sure to give you your space if you want it! But… maybe just a little bit of space?

Kotoko: (Shakes her head, a small smile playing on her lips) This is going to be an interesting trip.

Yume: (Clapping her hands together) Exactly! Exciting! Now, who wants to help me find my sombrero? I think I saw one at that tourist shop last year… Mexico, here we come!

(Peko's hopeful gaze remains fixed on Mew, despite Mew's obvious disgust. The awkward tension hangs in the air, a silent prediction of the chaotic dynamics to come in Mexico.)
