A/N Apparently I'm not the only person who thinks there's more to Xander than we were told. I just saw a post on a message board. The guy making the post says, 'It's neat that the Big Bads get taken down by a tiny blond that likes vampires, a manipulative redhead, a bad ass Librarian and wtf Xander actually is. Seriously, are we sure he's human? Only injured four or five times over the course of seven years fighting vampires and demons and everyone just assumes he's completely human?' End quote.

Maybe he meant to say a Magic using redhead or maybe he didn't like Willow much. There's no follow up and his post looks like it's been ignored for a long time, but still. Wtf is Xander? Just made me laugh. 😁

Giggle, this is my point! How does no one on the show not notice he almost never gets hurt? Willow and Giles don't do any real fighting and Willow depends on Magic when she does fight and Giles get knocked out over and over again, without doing much fighting, but Xander is often seen fighting and he just doesn't get hurt. 😗

FBI recommendations on police numbers found quoted on several websites, but I couldn't find anything official.

Number of police officers in Sunnydale taken from the Buffy wiki, eleven are named, one is unnamed and yes, there is a Chief Monroe and a Officer Monroe

"At the very least the police know what's going on, I should think." Mason decided. "We don't see them out at night, they stay in their cosy station at night. Which is the only police station in Sunnydale, a town of nearly 40,000 people. The FBI recommends a minimum of two officers for every 1000 people, which means Sunnydale should have at least 80 cops covering three shifts. How many police officers does Sunnydale actually have?"

"Let me see if they have a website." Stephan went to Diana's computer and after a minute he said in a stunned voice, "Their website boasts twelve police officers, at least according to a brag post by Chief Monroe welcoming his son to the force, bringing the total number of officers proudly serving Sunnydale to 12. 12 for a city of nearly 40,000."

"Sunnydale is a rich suburb of Los Angeles." Sam pointed out. "It's advertised as such and yet both the police and Family Services are extremely underfunded and understaffed. Even if there was virtuously no crime here, as a rich community they'd overstaff the police, not understaff, to make the rich residents feel their diamonds are extra secure. 12 police officers makes no sense, unless their job isn't to investigate crimes, but to make sure Sunnydale looks good."

"When those students were found murdered in the rec room at the High School last May," Diana stood up and paced, it was her way of dealing with a stressful topic. "the kids pointed out that they'd been there overnight and the teachers should have chased them out when school let out. But no teacher appears to have found them and they stayed there overnight until students on break went to use the rec room themselves and discovered their bodies. Only then was it reported to the police who claimed a rabid dog killed them all. Five students total apparently killed by one dog and none of them managed to get out of the room and no one heard either them yelling or the dog barking, growling or anything?"

"Doors in the High School that lead to the tunnels and have no locks on them." Mason was all but grinding his teeth to keep his rage under control. "At the very least the Janitors that clean the school have to know they're there and wouldn't they mention them to the administration? Principal Flutie seems like a nice guy, clueless about a lot of things, but nice. Most of the students like him, he insists on mandatory counseling for the students when something like those bodies being found happens. But dealing with staff concerns would go through Vice Principal Snyder before being escalated to the Principal. Snyder who was in charge of signing students up for kiddie escort duty and made sure every Junior signed that clipboard. He may be a link and he may possibly be keeping Flutie in the dark. Flutie looks good to the parents, a clueless cover. But Snyder is an ass who makes no secret of the fact that he hates kids. We need background checks run on all of them, the police, the teachers, Snyder, Flutie. Who else?"

"The newspaper had a ready made story all ready for print this morning." Sam offered. "At the very least the Editor and maybe even all of his staff."

"Family Services needs to be followed up on." Sam commented. "The Mayor promised an increase in their budget and a complete overhaul of the department. More staff are supposed to be hired and better training for the staff was also supposed to be included. Do we know if they've even started doing any of that? It's been five months since a Judge found enough evidence to sever Xander's parent's rights and that promise was made by the Mayor after it was discovered Family Services almost never follows up on tips made to them on missing, neglected or abused kids."

"And this town has a lot of missing kids." Aaron added. "Most of them labeled runaways by the cops. Including Willow Rosenberg whom Xander and Jesse knew well enough to consider family and are convinced she didn't run away, a vampire got her. And her parents, who'd been leaving her alone for long periods of time for years, believed the police. Did anyone ever report them? And did Family Services not follow up on those reports either?"
