AN: I do not own Harry Potter.

To Have Employees Is To Have Make Decisions

Harry set aside the last letter he wrote to Percy to let it dry. Unlike how open he was with Cedric in letters, there was the whole Voldemort-is-currently-immortal-because-horcruxes thing that he was avoiding talking about, though Lord Malfoy through Percy had told him. The reason was because he found it uncomfortable. Voldemort being immortal reminded him that he was currently immortal, which was something to avoid because he currently did not want to think about the fact that there was a chance that he could outlive his nieces and nephews if he didn't have kids. The fact that if he died an eighth time while someone was pregnant with his kid under unknown circumstances could mean that he outlived his kids anyway was completely ignored because he found that more uncomfortable.

It was easier to focus on Camille Jones, Hermione, and living in the Muggle world for two weeks in an unknown location.

It was also easier, if not a harder subject, to read over his speech that Sirius and Cedric had him write in the last couple of days. He was going to have to say it tomorrow, because he had to call a meeting today for tomorrow, because as a lord with vassals, he had to get reports regularly. He was not even an adult, and he already had some of the headache of having to take responsibility of others.

That was more or less the same kind of headache that school gave him. One big reason for that was learning so many rules that he was going to have to follow or work around because he was the sworn head of many families, some of whom were sworn lords of families themselves. One example was the Malfoys, as the Crabbes and Goyles were sworn to them, and yet Lucius Malfoy as head of all three families was sworn to him.

The bit about Dumbledore holding so many positions bugged him, but mostly because he was doing a school job at the same time as doing three different jobs for the government. Harry could see that he rarely acted; case in point, how many things at school did Harry end up solving, not a teacher? It was a nice thing to have the teachers solve things mostly this year, and just having to deal with the owls. Honestly, with that information, the ICW seemed it was a Wizengamot (basically) of individual wizarding kings, with not all of them calling themselves kings. He didn't get Dumbledore not calling himself a king, since the UK was an empire, even if by now people forget that the UK is basically the parts of the Empire close to England with countries inside of it. Maybe it was because the Headmaster didn't meet all the requirements? Harry thought he understood the people that just called him Headmaster now. That was another thing that was being researched right now by Hermione, because he simply didn't have the time to do so.

Another thing, should he out himself to his side of the Order? He was debating pros and cons about that both with himself and with those living with him. Sirius was all for it. Remus was hesitant. Cedric, who checked in regularly, played devil's advocate, pointing out the good points in both decisions. Ron was sure that he should but the timing was very important. Hermione was split between not making trouble for the adults and going for it.

Harry understood all their points. He was arguing them to himself anyway. He found Cedric somewhat unhelpful, but good for coming up with counter arguments for whatever. Ron was actually the most helpful in this instance, because he could walk through people's reactions based on timing. Hermione was agreeing with the part of himself that wished that he could just not make a decision, but unfortunately, it was up to him to make the decision because he was in charge. While others may advise him to do things, he was the one who could say yes or no, despite how much pressure they may put on him. He had to make a decision anyway.

Mostly, he was currently "lording" from a distance. That required receiving a bunch of parchment. First, there was the ones he received that he had to sort through, get Sirius and Cedric, with Percy occasionally, giving help with what the language was saying. Legal stuff seriously used the English language with a flair that he didn't have access to acquiring previously. It helped that he took notes, which was the second way it used parchment. Thirdly, he wrote replies. For the ones that required a thought out answer, he left those for last because they usually required reference material, even if Sirius knew where to find the answers. The ones that said "To, Person. (Put one sentence message here.) Sincerely, Harry" were usually sent within a half hour after reading all of them.

Sometimes, Harry was reminded that Sirius wasn't exactly... sane.

"Sirius, where would I meet with people, say a large group?"

Sirius scratched his head.

"Do you want to meet publicly? Wow, pup, going public the second time you meet these people and in a stressful environment? I don't think You-Know-Who had the guts."

Harry rubbed his forehead above his glasses frames with mild frustration, "No, no. Privately."

"Then, it's obvious you need to meet by someone's house then."

"Here?"

"Well, that would be pretty obvious, unless you trust everyone in someone else's place."

"I don't, and I have the same problem with everyone that has access here."

"Well, there is always warding the floo after everyone gets here that's supposed to be."

"Is there a way you can get everyone to not fire at each other when people who have been fighting from two different sides get here because they are part of the same group?"

"I'll get Remus to ward the walls for spell damage."

"Okay, you're saying that the only place to be in control of what happens for sure in a building is for the building to be under your control?"

"Am I?"

Harry hung his head dramatically. "I'm going to talk to Remus."

They ended up deciding on meeting in the formal dining room, which was rather bigger than anyone felt like eating in when they didn't want to be intimidated. It wasn't helpful that mirrors strategically placed on both ends gave a look of eternality to the room. However, when Harry wanted both sides to be there, he needed someplace where the Order would feel safe, and someplace where having them separate was possible. That eliminated many of the rooms that otherwise would have worked, because they were just too small, or were unfurnished (Sirius and Remus had ended up burning a whole lot of poisonous furniture and hadn't felt like replacing it all right away, furnishing the needed rooms and whatever rooms which had furniture to survive). It was a dramatic and pretentious sort of room, with pillars interrupting it at specific intervals, and mirrors particularly placed so that the room seemed to go on forever from the raised head of the table.

Hermione said it was something that wouldn't seem out of place in a castle. It was around then that they remembered that they were really in one, even if it was disguised.

Harry sent out a lot of memos and invites.

Remus did agree to put fire proofing charms on the room, plus rooms going up to it, in case things got heated. It was a good thing that they had been done a day before hand because those spells took a bit out of Remus once they were completed and he needed the break.

Sirius made lemonade.

Hermione made cookies.

All the kids dusted.

They all went for a walk to wear out Padfoot ahead of time.

They also all got cleaned up, and at least wore clean clothes that didn't smell like cleaner, though Harry at least quickly ironed his clothes before the meeting.

"Why does Sirius call you Camille?"

"He's trying to bother me. My name is Hestia Camille Jones. Yes, I don't know why my parents went with such a posh sounding middle name."
