Phase 21: Rebel Strike
After the Concert of Worlds had taken in 2 races of the Dazreme and Yonhet adding up to 6 races to the CW. Certain groups like the United Rebel Front and Banished are not pleased. Making it harder to fight this new united alliance with word from the Yonhet leadership about their people being enslaved by a group of human rebels backed by the Banished.
Sage is reviewing reports from the Yonhet to talk with Captain Amber of the Eternity. "This will be a boon to the alliance to aid in saving their people from enslavement from the rebels and Jackals," Sage said.
"Indeed, we will need to send Spartan and ODST Fireteams to go down to the planet of Veil to wipe out the slavers and then we secure the planet," Amber said as there is a task force of UNSC ships with 4 Autumn-class heavy cruisers, 2 Poseidon-class light carriers and 10 Anlace-class light frigate. "We will smash through their orbital defenses and get the special force units deep behind enemy lines," the captain said.
"Right, I will join up with Alisa to get topside," Sage said, transferring back into the Spartan Deck where the crew is being told about the mission to rescue the Yonhet slaves from the rebels and Jackals on the planet.
Sage sees multiple frigates and light cruisers along with several DAS-class storm cutters (255m long) and CRS-class light cruisers (300m long). "Older models the rebels got and the Jackals have light warships over the planet," Amber said to see a holographic display of the enemy fleet from a spy drone they sent ahead.
"Fits with their piracy. They have many but our fleet will smash right through it," Sage said.
"Indeed, get into B312 and get planet side. We are going to free those slaves and break up their operations on the planet," Amber said as ODSTs and Spartans are going to be dropped onto the planet.
Alisa gets into her Helioskrill GEN2 suit to get on her sleek helmet. She inserts the data chip into the back to let her brain interface with Sage. She grabs a custom MA5D fitted with a suppressor, an M301 Grenade Launcher, and a COG sight. She syncs with the COG sight within her HUD to take a Sidekick with a suppressor to go into a drop pod.
"Man, that was crazy. These Guardians, the Didact is looking for them," Alisa said
"Yes they are of deep concern but the Dezreme has shared their knowledge and technology which will prepare us when they come up. The Mantle is nothing more than an imperial project. It has no place in the modern galaxy anymore," Sage said feeling passionate about it.
"Indeed, we will stop him and put him back in the past," Alisa said checking her rifle with everyone in their drop pod ready for combat.
"All stations. We are coming out of slip space. Sword forces prepare to invade when our Spec Ops units complete their mission," the Captain said. The UNSC fleet encounters the rebel and Jackal fleets safeguarding their operations on the planet.
The UNSC's powerful new ships made quick work of half of the old rebel and alien ships. The Eternity shoots down the drop pods onto the nightly surface to be near the slave camps.
Alisa is in the pod to crash below to kick it open to be within a house to see the hatch crushed by a rebel. "You bitch," the rebel opens fire with her guns but the bullets bounce off her powerful Overshield using the suppressed Assault Rifle tearing into their bodies to drop them into their pools of blood.
"You dead," Alisa said dryly to exit the building to see more rebels wielding MP-99 SMGs and Commando Tactical Rifles. She swiftly opens fire to nail them in the heads killing them off.
"Funny," Sage said as Alisa moved through the farmlands to see more human rebels wielding M45 shotguns and MA5K Assault Carbines.
"I tried," Alisa said to see several drop pods appearing all over the place, surrounding the main slave camp with fighting breaking out within the fog of war.
"Damn it. ODSTs and Spartans everywhere," a rebel said on the radio to be swept up by the Spec Ops forces. ODSTs in their new SPI MK3 with their good shields protecting them from bullets use their M7S SMGs and Suppressed BR-85Ns to take them down.
"I managed to hack into their comms. The Jackals got lazy setting up their battle net here," Sage said.
"They are cheap as hell," Alisa said to become invisible to unload against rebels with her 7.62x51 rounds shredding through their cheap armor. She sees a technical with a mounted chain gun unload an impact grenade from her MA5D/GL to take out the vehicle and kill everyone inside.
She uses her Grapple Shot to latch on top of a building to hide from incoming rebels to put bullets into their heads. Red blood painting the walls. "Did you hear about rebel strongholds disappearing," Sage said as
"Yeah I did, the Didact has been busy. Turning the innies into Knights but that makes things easier for us to deal with. The URF is getting weaker from this and getting help from the Banished," Alisa said as she jumped down onto a rebel to stab her in the back of the head with her energy dagger.
"Look out Jackal Snipers," Sage tags them with them holding Stalker Rifles, Beam Rifles, and Focus Rifles.
"Hate these guys," Alisa said as she looked to see they were covering the human rebels being on top of buildings. "Better grab one of the guns to give me something to shoot back with," she said to cloak herself to get close to one of the Jackal Snipers. She goes behind him to twist his neck to grab a Stalker Rifle to line up multiple shots to kill off the snipers. She drops the weapon disappearing into the darkness of the night.
Jackal Minors, Majors, and Heavies wielding Brute Plasma Pistols, Piercers, and Disrupters. "Spotting Jackals," Sage said as she went through the farm fields to use her custom MA5D/GL putting suppressed shots to cut down the Jackals. They try to find her but Alisa uses her cloaking to hide from sight within the shade of trees.
"Hey, you close by?" May asked on the radio to draw out her suppressed M6/Z machine pistol to unload rapid-fire bullets into the heads of Jackals and Skirmishers. She switches to her Bulldog with a Suppressor, Laser Targeter, and Recon Sight to pump buckshots into the chests of Rebels blasting apart their bodies.
"May, yeah I am here," she said as Sage marks her location nearby with her knifing rebels in the shadows of the moon. Alisa latches onto a Skirmisher to use her Energy Dagger to stab into his head to put him down.
"Nice kill," May appears on top of a tree branch to use her custom Bulldog to fire slugs into the heads of the Skirmisher. She drops the drum and replaces it with 12 rounds of 12 gauge buckshot. "I found the main outpost filled with Yonhet slaves. The Rebels and Jackals are got it locked with defenses," May said as she pulled out her Sticky Detonator to lob and stick to a Jackal Spectre to blow it to pieces while killing the users.
"Good, we should encircle that main base and take it down. It will scatter the rebels and jackal pirates to weaken their hold on the planet," Alisa said.
"Marking location," Sage said as the two female Spartans pressed forward to confront more Rebels using MP-99s and Commandos to hit their shields but they bounced off harmlessly.
Alisa cloaks to flank the Rebels with May rolling behind cover to use her select fire shotgun to tear into the human rebels. Alsia lobs a grenade to take out the remaining rebel humans. "Detecting Rebel Heavy," Sage said pointing towards a big human in heavy armor wielding a SAW with explosive rounds to fire at her position.
"Shit," Alisa disappears with May using her focused shots to blow off a chunk of armor from his suit. She uses her M6/Z to put rapid shots into the exposed area to kill him off.
"I found you," Yuri said to be on a ridge to overlook the area. He got his custom S5 Sniper Rifle with a Suppressor. He puts a huge round into the skull of a Jackal to make his head disappear in purple mist.
"Where are the others?' Alisa asked on the radio with Yuri providing overwatch to snipe humans and Jackals in the head seeing several red and purple mists all over the place.
"Coming in with the Calvary," Yuri said as they heard nearby explosions with Olympia, Cortez, and Rosenda along with several ODSTs open fire their suppressed weapons to take out groups of enemies.
"Frag out," an ODST tosses a grenade to blast away several rebels to unload her Battle Rifle to take out enemy snipers. Several Jackal Heavies and Skirmisher Commandos are using Brute Plasma Pistols to send out waves of triple bolts of red energy to take out a few ODSTs. One of the Skirmishers overcharges his Blood Claw to lob a field of burning plasma eating through the ODSTs' shields and burning them alive.
"Fuck me, that is lethal," Cortez said as he is using his own Suppressed MA5D/GL to pepper incoming Skirmisher commandos to reduce them into torn-down bloody bodies.
"The Brutes' handiwork," Alisa said as they heard battle chatter of ground defenses getting destroyed by Spartan and ODST Fireteams working together to wipe out the defenses to let the ships and aircraft give support.
"We managed to destroy the orbital fleet. Secure the major slave centers to free the Yonhet," Amber said.
"Of course," May said as she moved in with her custom Bulldog to pop the heads of human rebels. Everyone is closing in the main center with Jackals getting gunned down while rebel vehicles getting destroyed.
Cortez switches to his Suppressed DMR to take out Jackal Snipers while Yuri clears the way toward the center of this huge base of operations. "Wipe them out," the rebel leader burst out of the building to be within a Cyclops mech suit to use its autocannon on its arm to wipe out ODSTs in explosive brutes.
"When they get a mech suit," Yuri said as everyone was focusing on the mech that was mowing them down.
"We need some heavy arms to take it down," May said as Alisa looked over to see if she could find anything they could use. She finds an M41 SPNKr to fire twin rockets to smash into the mech suit to heavily damage it. She reloads the launcher rolling away from the barrage of explosive rounds. She is turning on her cloaking to avoid it.
"Where are you, Spartan freak," the rebel leader said to Cortez lobbed an EMP grenade to stun the machine while Alisa fired two more rockets to strike the mech to disable it. She uses her Grapple Shot to latch onto the cockpit to pop out the glass to expose the pilot. She fired another rocket which struck the inside killing the leader and destroying the mech suit.
"Perfect, the leader is done," Alisa said.
"Good work Alisa," Sage said to pat her hands together cutely.
"All thanks to your intel gathering," Alisa said as he tossed her rocket launcher on the ground. She sees a large number of Pelicans and other aircraft sweep across the area to clear out remaining rebels and Jackal pirates.
The ODSTs and Spartans are freeing the Yonhet slaves because they are grateful for their help. "Captain Amber we managed to save the Yonhet with minimal losses," Sage said.
"Good, the Yonhet leadership will be pleased with this. We will be making a lot of friends with this. The Banished will take note of this," Amber said.
"We will take them on and crush them," Alisa said as they began to get the Yonhet slaves off the world to bring them back to their home on the moon of Yonhe.
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Sela is on the ground leading a group of Elite Ultras, Hunter Ultras, and Slugman Ultras on the former Covenant fortress world of Okal'supen used by a rouge group of Elites who split off from the Storm Covenant seeing the writing on the wall of Storm and Jul's fall is near with the Swords and UEG closing in on their throats.
"Lucky we traced them back here," Sela said as their fleet was destroying the rouge fleet within the space and the sky with her wielding her Storm Rifle to land a few shots onto an Elite Minor to take him down.
A Slugman Ultra is using its Plasma Rifle to pepper a nearby Jackal to kill him easily. "Mistress, your human friends managed to save the Yonhet slaves on Veil," Ten-Ten said on the comms to use his Goblin to unleash pink bursts to kill several Elite Minors reducing them into piles of purple gore.
"Good, we will need to ease the Yonhet into our alliances to show we are doing this in good faith. The more allies, the better against the Banished and Didact," Sela said as she switched to her Scattershot to fire pellets of hard light to vaporize multiple Grunts and Jackals. "This place has enough shipyards and assembly Forges to rebuild an empire but now it will be used to protect the galaxy and secure our futures between our species," she said thinking about her human lover Yuri with his warm smile making her two hearts beat very fast.
"Mistress, we got close," Dek said as he held his Plasma Launcher to lob and home in on a few Ghosts to blow them to bits. The Ultras swarm the base to wipe out the enemy forces with Banshees flying overhead to give them air support to bomb enemy positions.
Sword Spirits drop off more troops around the main base to cut off the enemy warriors. Slugmen, Elites, and Grunts drop in to give support with a Grunt Heavy wielding a Fuel Rod Gun to destroy a few Shade Turrets.
A Hunter Ultra has a Hunter Shade Cannon to mow down groupings of foes to spread their blood and burning bodies onto the floor. Another Hunter has an Assault Cannon to lob fuel rods into crowds of enemies.
Ten-Ten is impaling enemies with his heavy dual-needle cannon to see them explode in a pink explosion. "Die in the honor of the Swords of Sanghelios, Die," Ten-Ten boosts up into the air to crash into a group of Elites unleashing a powerful shockwave that vaporizes them.
Dek is blowing up emplacements and Ghosts with his Plasma Launcher to see them blast apart to push forward into the main base.
A Slugman wields a Pulse Carbine to land on Jackal and Elite snipers on ridges to clear the way inside with Sela using her Energy Sword to slice and dice several enemy troops. They managed to capture the mina command center of the planet while her forces were wiping out rouge forces across the planet.
"We managed to win this fight. This planet is for the Swords of Sanghelios," Dek said as the troops were cheering for their victory. The planet of Okal'supen was under the Sword's control gaining a massive war asset to get their fleets and weaponry back to prepare for bigger fights against the Banished and the Didact's forces.
