Welcome one and all to this year's Veterans Day Special! My yearly tradition of updating every actives tory as a salute to the troops both active and former. So let's not waste a second. Let's get into this. This is Part I. Last time, Myriad, General Luthor, and Malefic J'onnz made their move against the D.E.O. General Luthor hacked his way into the systems, allowing the trio to get in. But just as they did, Spyro and Supergirl were rushing to find out what the heck just happened when the power went out, running into Flash, who informed them of what just happened. Everybody is about to head into battle. So how's that going to go? Read on to discover...
(Our scene opens up just after Malefic J'onzz smashed an entryway into the D.E.O. facility. Various D.E.O. agents respond and hold the trio for a few moments)
Myriad: Surrender the Element bearers and you will be spared. There will be no other offers.
(Needless to say, the D.E.O. agents aren't backing down, especially since one of the Element bearers is their director.)
Lead D.E.O. Agent: Open fire!
(The agents unload their weapons on the Dark Knights, but General Luthor stops all the shots by generating an energy shield from his Warsuit.)
Myriad: Malefic, destroy them.
(With a simple nod, Malefic J'onzz steps out just as the energy shield dissipates, and shapeshifts into some massive serpentine monster that immediately wipes away the D.E.O. agents in one swipe of its tail before resuming his normal form as Myriad and General Luthor walk further into the facility)
General Luthor: Well that was pathetic. You'd think my employees could put up a better fight.
Myriad: Your counterpart doesn't run this place anymore. But that is irrelevant to our mission. Focus.
Malefic J'onzz: Now we've just got to find our targets.
General Luthor: A task easier said than done. This place is massive.
Myriad: Indeed. The size of this facility makes it nearly impossible for the three of us to track our quarry unaided. But we have the advantage.
General Luthor: My control of the facility through my Warsuit, I'm guessing. Well, hate to throw a spanner into the works, but I can't run both this program and a comm line without disconnecting or broadcasting our plans over the tannoy.
Myriad: You won't be using your Warsuit for that. (Gestures to the main D.E.O. computer in front of them) You'll be using their security system directly.
General Luthor: You really thought of everything.
Myriad: Thus is the power of Myriad. Now, get to work.
(With that, General Luthor gets to work accessing the main computer, using his Warsuit to hack his way through if needed, and soon enough, he's in. Pulling up the security feed, he observes the meeting between Supergirl, Spyro, and Flash that ended our previous scene, as well as seeing Superman and Cynder rushing through a second corridor, as well as Martian Manhunter and Sentinel heading their way.)
General Luthor: We've got all of them.
Myriad: Excellent. Remain here and keep us informed of their whereabouts. Malefic, you and I will pursue our targets.
Malefic J'onzz: How's your Dark Gem plan going to work if only one of us has it?
Myriad: I outfitted Luthor's Warsuit with Dark Gem gauntlets while he was resting.
General Luthor: That was you?!
Myriad: You forget, I do not need sleep. (Takes a pair of gauntlets off her back, and hands them to Malefic J'onzz) These will suffice for you once you encounter your brother.
Malefic J'onzz: (Slipping the gauntlets on) Nice fit. Let's do this.
Myriad: Agreed. We must take the targets alive if we are to get the Elements out of them. So use the Dark Gems sparingly.
General Luthor: Got it.
Myriad: Now, mobilize.
(With that, Myriad and Malefic J'onzz head out down the corridor while General Luthor stays at the computer. After making sure they're gone, General Luthor starts pulling up files that weren't in Myriad's plan)
General Luthor: You think you thought of everything, didn't you Myriad. Well, let this be a lesson. Nobody outsmarts Lex Luthor.
(And as General Luthor prepares his secondary plan, our tale ends for today)
This concludes Part I of the Veterans Day Special. For Part II, head on over to A Song of Spiders and Dragons. So, it looks like General Luthor has his own little side scheme going. Be honest here, did you expect anything else from Lex Luthor? But what's he up to? We won't quite find out yet, but we will in time. Meanwhile, we've got a few other teams to follow up on. So, how are these confrontations going to go? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
