Welcome back to Elemental Crisis Book III. Last time, just when things looked bleak, Malefic J'onzz chose to strike back against General Luthor, only to end up immolated. But seeing this triggered something in Martian Manhunter. And in that moment, the Element of Electricity finally bent to his will, allowing him, Spyro, Cynder, and the rest of the Element bearers to escape. As they do, General Luthor uses his control over Myriad to track them on the security system, as he goes full madman. Meanwhile, the rest of the heroes have noticed the spark display from J'onn, and are on their way to get their friends. Things are nearing their culmination. So, what comes next? Read on to discover...

(Our scene begins with Spyro, Cynder, Supergirl, Superman, and Martian Manhunter trying to escape the Dark Knights' facility while trying to avoid being spotted by the security system. Martian Manhunter continues to display his control over the Element of Electricity by zapping out the cameras as they go to cover their tracks)

Spyro: You've really got that thing down pat, eh J'onn?

Martian Manhunter: I just wish it wasn't something tragic that got it there.

Spyro: I'm... not sure I follow.

Martian Manhunter: Seeing Malefic die in front of us, everything just clicked into place. In that moment of instinct, I finally felt this force come under control.

Spyro: (Realizes it) And now I see what was holding you back. You were overthinking the whole thing. Your mind was going in multiple different places at once, and thus so did your Electricity.

Martian Manhunter: (Understanding Spyro's logic completely) That... makes perfect sense, actually.

Cynder: As great as this little revelation is, it's not going to do us much good if we can't get out of here.

Martian Manhunter: Then let's focus on escaping.

Spyro: Agreed.

(But as the group makes it towards the exit, the remaining security cameras catch them in the corner of their field of vision, allowing General Luthor to track them)

General Luthor: I've got you now. You're not going to get away from me that easily.

(With that, General Luthor presses a button on the console that disengages Myriad from where she was positioned, but still leaves her operating system begrudgingly in his control)

General Luthor: Now then, it's about time those meddlers meet their end. (To Myriad) You're with me.

Myriad: I have no desire to aid you any further, traitor.

General Luthor: Too bad. While your systems are still under my control, your little puppet here is too. Now let's go.

(As General Luthor walks off, Myriad follows stiffly behind, clearly indicating she's doing this against her will. Meanwhile, the dragons and Element bearers have just made it outside the compound and realize they have no idea where they are.)

Superman: Well, we're out of there.

Supergirl: Now we just need to find out where the others are from here.

(And just as things appear to be going well, a familiar voice calls out from behind them)

General Luthor: A shame you never will!

(At that moment, everybody turns around to see General Luthor and Myriad have caught up with them.)

General Luthor: If the last of the systems I have are to be believed, Malefor is already on his way here. If I'm to stand any chance against him, I need to get your powers from you now. So, would you kindly...

Superman: Not on your life, Luthor.

Supergirl: Besides, you're the one who should be surrendering. We outnumber you.

General Luthor: Oh please. I can top this.

(With that, General Luthor snaps his fingers, which triggers Myriad to involuntarily activate the entire building's defense system, turning the whole structure into a swarm of remote controlled drones.)

General Luthor: Who's outnumbered now?!

(And as things appear to look grim for our heroes, the sound of engines can be heard as the Waverider and Tower in spaceship formation arrive out of the sky)

White Canary: (Broadcasting from the Waverider) You may have the numbers, but we've got the firepower, Luthor.

(And at this moment, the final showdown is about to begin. General Luthor with control over Myriad and an army of drones against the combined forces of the League, what of the Legends are still aboard the Waverider, Spyro, and Cynder. And as the staredown to the final battle begins, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for now. As of this moment, I can confirm there are only three chapters left until Book III of the Elemental Crisis wraps up. So, General Luthor is about to make a final stand. Will our heroes be able to emerge victorious? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
