Guest99: In time, but not any time soon. I always planned for her to be one of the first to notice what happened. Given she has the whole house under surveillance.

Mr. Haziq: Yeah, I was surprised by his age too when I looked it up.

eduardo.bettin26: Glad you're enjoying it.

Chapter 6: A Small Break and a New Team Member For Sam

It was another beautiful sunny day, and Sam had just woken up and gotten dressed. "I guess I should wake up Lincoln and Lucy," she said to herself. "I really wished Arceus gave us all the same information. I hate that we're relying on Lincoln to do the cooking."

She then made her way to Lucy's tent, opened it up a bit, and peaked in. "Hey Lucy, are you up yet?" She asks looking inside. She saw the goth in her sleeping bag, only for her to start sitting up.

"Sigh, I'm up now," Lucy replied in a groggy tone.

"Alright, I'm gonna wake Linc and then he will probably start cooking breakfast," Sam said, closing the tent back up. She then made her way to the boy's tent. This time she didn't say anything and just peeked in.

She does this for one reason, to see if Tepig came out of her pokeball to sleep with Lincoln. This has been one of the Pokemon's usual routines. She even did it the night they slept at the pokecenter. Sam is usually the first one awake, so she's the first one to see the sight. She has been getting a picture of it every time, which she then uses to tease the boy with.

Looking inside, her eyes widened and she had to hold in an aww. Tepig did come out during the night and was sleeping on his chest. However, Zorua also came out and was sleeping with him. She had her head on his neck, while her tails were around his head.

Seeing the sight, Sam opened the tent a little more, so she could get a good picture. As she took the picture, she didn't notice that Zorua's eye was opened slightly, noticing what she was doing. "Hey Linc, it's time to wake up!" She said after putting her phone away. She heard him groaning, sounding like he was now awake. So she zipped the tent up and walked away, silently giggling at what the boy's reaction would be after fully waking up.

She then sees Lucy dressed and exiting her tent. "Lucy! You have to see this!" Sam said excitedly, running up to her. She then shows the little girl the picture she just took.

"So he has two of them now," Lucy said with a small smile. Sam just giggles while nodding. Then they heard the boy shout from his tent.

"TEPIG!? ZORUA?! WHAT ARE YOU BOTH DOING?!" He screams in a shocked and confused voice. The two female trainers who heard him were just chuckling at his reaction.

[Later]

The trainers and Pokemon were now eating breakfast. The trainers were sitting around the campfire, while the Pokemon were eating off to the side. Everything was mostly normal except for a few things. Lincoln looked a little upset with a blush, Tepig was glaring at Zorua, who gave the Fire Type an smug expression, and Raticate looked depressed.

"Come on Lincoln, I said I'm sorry," Sam said to him with a smile. She has been teasing him all morning about what she saw.

"Why do they both have to do that?" Lincoln said with a sigh.

"Well we already knew Tepig was clingy," Lucy said, trying to answer her brother's question. "As for Zorua, we don't know much about her." She then stops eating and starts to think about what information she has about Hisui and Pokemon from that time.

'There are those stories,' Lucy thought, looking into the fire. 'Sinnoh does have those old tales about humans and Pokemon being so close, they used to eat at the same table. But it doesn't sound that different then the relationship between humans and Pokemon now.'

"Sorry for having you cook again," Sam said in a depressed voice. "I still don't get why Arceus only gave one of us knowledge on cooking. You think that is something he would give everyone."

"Well, I could teach you," Lincoln suggested. "If you cook with me when I prepare our meal, I can teach you what I know."

"Really?! Thanks dude!" The rocker said happily, hold out a fist for a fist bump. The boy happily returned the gesture and they both laughed.

Lucy watched the two with a critical eye. While she found their interaction harmless, there was something odd about it. As far as she knew, Sam and Lincoln had barely talked before coming here. So why were they acting like they've been friends for a while.

Unknown to the trainers, a purple feline was in a bush glaring at them. 'Damn those brats!' Purrloin thought furiously. 'I don't know how, but I know they were responsible for that weird dome! Because of them, I was also chased by that huge, weird Sneasel!' Purrloin was with them in the Space-time distortion, as well as running with them as the Sneasler chased them. It was actually him who shouted "run".

'Well I'll pay them back tonight!' The Devious Pokemon thought with a smirk. 'Once they're all asleep, I'll sneak in their bags and-' he was suddenly hit by something from behind. He was sent flying into the middle of camp.

"A Purrloin?" Lincoln asked, confused, seeing the Pokemon flying into their camp.

"Wait! I recognize this scent!" Tepig said, sniffing the air. "That's the same Purrloin we met a couple of days ago!"

"The same one that called us stupid and was planning to steal from us?" Sam asked the Pokemon, before looking at the Purrloin.

"What's it doing here?" Lucy asked, looking at the Pokemon.

"I found it stalking your camp," a new voice said. Everyone looked to the bush Purrloin came out of, to see a Zorua walk out.

"Who are you and why are you getting in my way!?" Purrloin hissed at the new Pokemon.

"We know you as well," Herdier said, moving in front of his trainer. "You're the Zorua that belongs to that green hair trainer."

"So that's N's Zorua?" Lincoln asked his Pokemon shocked. Sam and Lucy could only stare stunned at the Tricky Fox Pokemon.

"We can talk about this later, let me handle this stalker," Zorua said, glaring at Purrloin. His paws fading into his shadow.

"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do?!" Purrloin hissed. It didn't see the two claws of shadows appear behind him. Not until they slashed at him and sent him flying elsewhere. "I'll be back!" The feline shouted as he went flying.

"Well that was anticlimactic," Lucy commented, watching the Pokemon fly off.

"So what are you doing here?" Sam said, looking at the dark fur fox.

"I left N," Zorua said nonchalantly. "I did care for him, but he didn't understand what I wanted. Just because we Pokemon get caught, doesn't mean we have to listen to the trainer who catches us. He also doesn't like giving us commands because he sees it as a form of obedience. He's letting Ghetsis brainwash him with their beliefs."

"Ghetsis? The guy with those Team Plasma guys?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, him," Zorua said, nodding his head. "So I told him I wanted to leave and he let me go. I then started looking for you guys."

"Why?" Lincoln asked, tilting his head.

"Because I want to join one of your guy's team, preferably one of you two," the Dark Type replied, pointing between Sam and Lincoln. "I want to be with someone who's going to help me get stronger, not someone who is being manipulated by an old man and his goons."

"What do you mean manipulated?" Sam asked with a frown.

"Ghetsis is using him for something, but I don't know what," the dark fur fox replied calmly. "I overheard some of his goons talking about it. I tried to tell N about this, but he refused to listen or believe what I told him. So I left him to join you guys."

"I guess we got a guess of who we need to keep an eye on," Lincoln said with a determined expression. Both girls nodded with similar expressions, although one wouldn't be able to tell if they looked at Lucy.

"What about the Zorua?" Lucy asked.

"Well since Linc already has a Zorua, I'll take him," Sam replied. She then pulled out a pokeball, tossed it at Zorua, and captured it instantly. "Alright! Come back out Zorua!" She said, tossing the pokeball.

"Glad to be a part of the team!" Zorua said happily, coming out of the pokeball. He then looked around at the other Pokemon, before his eyes fell onto one certain Pokemon. He stared at Lincoln's Zorua with a love-struck look and started to walk up to her.

"Hey there," he said with confidence. "I haven't ever seen a vixen like you before."

"Hm, oh hi," the Normal/Ghost Pokemon said. Glancing at him, before looking back at her trainer. The dark fur fox started talking, while she ignored him while she glared at the Tepig in Lincoln's arms.

Sam and Lincoln saw this and started to chuckle at the sight. "It seems like your new Pokemon has a crush on my Zorua," Lincoln said smiling. "Maybe this will help me."

"You never know," Sam said while chuckling. "Maybe I should give the little guy a nickname, that way we'll be able to call them without getting confused."

Lincoln was about to respond, when he noticed his Raticate distancing herself from the other Pokemon. He put Tepig down and went over to talk with her. Lucy and Sam saw this and smiled, knowing what he was going to do. Lucy guided Tepig to the others, while Sam went over to her new Pokemon to suggest some nicknames.

"Hey, is everything alright," the white hair trainer asked with concern. The Mouse Pokemon said nothing, only sighing. "You can tell me anything. If you want to be released, I can do that."

"No, I don't want that," Raticate replied, still sounding depressed. "I rather not face my servants again. I believe they'll ridicule me if I see them."

"Then what can I do to help you feel better?" He asked, hoping to make his Pokemon feel better.

"Look, you're a great person," she said, looking up at him. "But doing the gym challenge, going on a mission to save the world, isn't something I saw myself doing if I got captured."

"Well, what did you see yourself doing?" Lincoln asked curiously.

"I kinda wanted to do those…Pokemon Contests I heard about," Raticate replied with an embarrassed blush.

"Oh, I see," the boy replied, nodding in understanding. "Now I understand." He then started to think about what he can do, before an idea comes to him. "What if I traded you?" He asked her in a cheerful tone.

"Trade me?" Raticate asked, confused. "Wouldn't I just go to another trainer doing the gym challenge?"

"Maybe not if I do a Wonder Trade," the white hair trainer said with a smile. "I could send a letter with your pokeball saying that you want to be a Contest Pokemon. It will also say you won't listen to anyone who isn't a Pokemon Coordinator. That way, if the person is another gym challenge trainer, they'll most likely continue to trade you until you get to a coordinator!"

"Really!?" Raticate said with some happiness. "You'll do that for me?"

"Sure," Lincoln replied, petting her head. "You'll have to wait until we get to Striaton City, so I can get the stuff for the letter. However, if you can wait till then, then I'll trade you before I go for my gym match."

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Raticate cheered happily while hugging him. "You are the best trainer in the world!"

"Thanks, now how about we join the others?" The boy asked. Raticate nodded happily and both made their way to the other trainers and Pokemon.
