"…so where are you now?" Hawks's voice could be heard from the other line as Uraraka made her way to the agency with Kiseki sound asleep in the back.

"Headed into work since I forgot some of the files you gave me yesterday."

"Busy even on your day off?" He smirked into the receiver. "Remind me to take you out and show you what a day off looks like."

"Just figured I'd get a head start before work tomorrow." She tiredly sighs after parking the car.

"Oh yeah that reminds me, tell the rest of the group I won't be there tomorrow."

"Why? Is everything alright?" she frowned when she heard the slight hesitation in his voice.

"Yeah, just something came up and I've gotta go and head over to my agency in Kyushu."

"Ok…then let us know if you need us." she unconvincing stared at her cell phone before hanging up.

Shoving his phone back in his coat pocket, Hawks glanced back at the locked door behind him before going in. He knew he should've told Uraraka where he was but the less she worried about things the better. Besides this was just a routine visit.

Curiously letting her green eyes roam around the small, enclosed space, she continued to busy herself with a small handheld toy she was allow to bring along as Hawks sat himself in the chair directly in front of her holding a manila folder with the only thing standing between them was a wall of thick glass.

"I must say I'm a little surprised to have someone come and visit me." She faints hurt when her lips began to pout. "And I've always heard so many fun stories about the famous Hawks being such a chatter head. But instead…you're nothing like I thought you'd be."

"Well I guess that makes two of us now, doesn't it? Since you and I both know who you really are Hana Shigaraki." he cautiously narrowed his eyes as he took in the little girl's carefree exterior as her legs continued to playfully dangle from the oversized chair she was in. At first glance you would feel bad to see a small girl such as this wearing a pale white gown as her big green child-like eyes turned to him before reaching for the small brush in front of her in the interrogation room. "Figured I'd do some digging after we found out who you were." He said leaning back in his chair. "Just in case you lied."

"And why would I lie?" she looked surprised at that. "Lying is wrong after all."

"Well believe it or not it doesn't hurt to be thorough." He answered. "Kind of what I do." When instead of responding she continued to busy herself with the toy he decided to continue. "Although I highly doubt that anyone would want to align themselves with All for One after what happened."

"I guess." She casually shrugged. "So, what have you found out?"

"That you had quite the history…and that taking someone's quirk-"

"You mean copying." She frowned.

"…that that isn't the only thing you inherited form your grandfather, is it?" He finished talking while tapping the side of his head. "Going over your files after you came in-"

"You mean after you captured me." She responded.

"If that's what we'll call it then fine." He thoughtfully hummed before carefully leaning forward. "Because in my experience…someone as dangerous as you wouldn't go down that easy."

"It was pretty easy, wasn't it?" She giggled. "And fun."

"So why do it? Why let yourself be captured in the first place when you knew exactly where you would end up? Unless this was all part of your idea…part of your plan."

"For what exactly?" she cluelessly blinked back. "Is this about Ochaco Uraraka? She's a nice girl. I like her a lot. I could see why Toga took a liking to her." She vigorously nodded with a fond smile. "Can I see her?"

What was with this little girl? One moment she seemed so innocent Hawks had to constantly remind himself that this girl was as dangerous as All for One and if not…maybe more. And the next…those very same eyes could scare you shitless even he could admit to that.

"I don't think that'll happen anytime soon Hana."

"Why not?" Hana quizzically frowned. "I thought we all were friends."

"How about we talk about something else? Like how about you came to be here."

"But you already know silly." She giggled while shaking her head. "You brought me here."

"Alright let's try this." He pulled open the file. "Hana Shigaraki…granddaughter to All For one…quirk-or should I say quirks." He corrected. "Absorption, allows you take any number of quirks such as telepathy, mind control…telekinesis…to name a few." The small smile that appeared on her face told him that he knew of another. "And finally…sight. Allowing you to possibly see into the future."

"They were right after all, you are funny." Her smile grew. "If I could do that I wouldn't be in here now, would I?" Putting her toy aside Hana linked her fingers together before leaning forward. "Why are you really here Hawks? Is it to ask me about Ochaco?"

"Why did you show her that?" he narrowed his eyes. "What's your end game here Hana?"

"You know…if you live as long as I have you come to realize that most villains' downfalls are that they always talk too much…at least that's what they said in those comic books my grandfather used to talk to me about." She shrugged.

"Yet you're different." He acknowledged. "Is that the reason why you and your grandfather never saw eye to eye? Why he sought out someone like Tomura instead?"

"Grandpa loved me." Her voice hardened, keeping her eyes on the pro in front of her. "He would do anything for me."

"Yet…that wasn't enough for you, was it?" he replied. "You know for someone you seems to care an awful lot for All for One…you don't seem as heartbroken about his downfall."

"I just like to see things play out." She tilted her head understanding that he was trying to get a reaction out of her. "What's so wrong about that?"

"You're hurting people Hana, and you don't see how that's wrong?"

"Hurting people?" she incredulously smiled. "How am I hurting people when I have barely begun?"

"Enough chit chat Hana." Hawks frustratedly said as he got to his got to his feet realizing his time here was almost up. "Tell me what you're planning."

"I already told you; I'm not planning anything." She raised her eyes to watch him approach the glass. "But when you see Ochaco…could you tell her to come see me?"

"Now why would I do that?"

"But she came to see Toga…" her lip wobbled, ignoring the shocked expression on Hawks face. "And there's also something I want to tell her."

There was no way that Hana had any knowledge of Uraraka's visits to Toga. No way at all, they made sure of that.

"You guys make me laugh." She giggled grabbing the doll and clutching it to her chest. "You really think you all can keep me from them?"

"Hana-"

"I knew I'd like you." she playfully whispered. "So I'll tell you this Hawks…if a bird flies close to the sun what do you think will happen?" Watching Hawks unamused expression Hana continued. "So…because I like you so much, I'll make sure you'll be one of the first to die."

"Will never happen."

"Try to deny it all you want but mark my words pro hero…by the end of this story I'll hold someone's last beating heart in the palm of my hand…" She grinned when they were being told that visiting hours were over. "You know…even in all the true fairy tales stories someone always ends of hurt..."

"Well that was weird." Mina thoughtfully hummed on the other end of Uraraka's phone. "But then again when has our fearless boss ever made sense?"

Giggling Uraraka briefly paused her conversation with one of her best friends to glance down at her child.

Hauling a cranky child who would rather be home right now, while juggling a box of papers would seem much harder if it wasn't for her quirk Uraraka thought as she placed him back inside the car, momentarily allowing the box to float behind her.

She was also looking forward to spending the rest of her off day too, but something about the way Hawks sounded not long ago made her anxious to get her mind off and begin digging through any possible new information they'd obtained from the agency in Italy.

"But enough about that, tell me again how you found the boys when you got home the other day!" Mina excitedly gushed.

"What else is there to say?" She warmly smiled, the memory still fresh and close to her heart.

"Yeah, but I still can't imagine finding Mr. Great Explosion Murder cuddled up with a baby." Mina says as she continues walking with Hagakure through the mall.

"Pictures or it didn't happen!" Hagakure pointed out.

"Yup babe I'm afraid we're gonna need some proof." Mina couldn't agree more.

"Well, more like blackmail but sure, we can go with proof." Hagakure giggled. "That way it doesn't sound as bad."

"Exactly." Mina nodded.

"You guys…" Uraraka raised her hand to her temple, knowing they were only playing—well at least she thought they were.

"Ok well call us when you get home babe." Mina said.

Once she was off the phone, she was so focused on strapping the little guy in that she had failed to notice Kiseki curiously trying to see past her until a throat cleared behind her.

"Oi."

Abruptly turning she was startled to see Bakugo already Irritatedly glaring at her but seemed breathless. He stood a few feet away wearing black work out shorts and a damp orange shirt that was firmly plastered to his chiseled chest telling her that he had obviously been in the middle of a jog.

"What are you doing here?" he asked observing the way her eyes timidly took in his appearance before forcing them back up.

"H-hey Bakugo, I'm just picking something up Hawks left me." She turned her attention back to her child to securely strap him in and hopefully avoid being caught red-handed when a furious blush creeped up her cheeks.

"Need any help?" He inclined his head towards the floating box before he snatched it from the air.

"Oh I-" she was about to decline his help since she wasn't really counting on running into him today—or anytime soon for that matter, but any argument died on her lips when she saw him already working on placing it inside her car. "Thanks." She nervously smiled, absently placing the tip of her short hair behind her ear unaware that his lips rose into a small smile when he saw it stubbornly spring free again before he managed to mask it by rubbing the side of his mouth.

"Yeah sure. Not that it's any of my business Round face but isn't it your day off today?" he displeasingly frowned, folding his arms over his chest.

Pursing her lips she settled him with an unamused expression of her own. "Please, you're one to talk Bakugo."

"Meaning?" he raised a challenging brow.

"Meaning that knowing you, you most likely were up before the crack of dawn, finished your morning workout, took a shower and already worked half a day and now jogging before your next shift." She fired back. "Not to mention I heard you and Kirishima were off today too." She finished off before adding. "I don't know how you do it..."

"Habit." He proudly smirked, which only seemed to grow wider when an interesting thought occurred to him. "You checking up on me Round face?"

"N-no." she scoffed hating the way he seemed overly pleased with himself right now when she realized her little slip up. So what if she so happens to find out when Mina was speaking with Hagakure about their schedule? She was on the phone with her after all so she couldn't help but listen in. "Of course not. W-why would I do that?"

"Don't know…" He didn't bother hiding the smug smile as he looked her over again. "And is it a new habit for you to be this damn cranky in the morning?"

"I'm not cranky." She frowned when she realized that he was only trying to rile her up again, a habit he obviously still had reserved for her even after all this time.

"Could've fooled me." He mumbled before a loud squeal from behind her caught his eye and made her shoulders tense. "That brat of yours?"

"Yeah." Uraraka let out a sigh as she stepped aside to allow Kiseki to see who she'd been talking to the whole time. "We're actually on our way to the store."

Slowly removing his gaze from the boy, he could see the expression on her face quickly being replaced by annoyance. "What?"

"It's Kiseki…" When he confusingly raised his brows, just waiting for her to go on, she lowered her voice. "His hair…"

"Ok…?"

"It's…" Pressing her lips into a thin line she decided she may as well tell him. "Kiseki's hair won't go down ok!"

"Oh." He blinked watching the way she began to panic for no reason. "So?"

"I've tried everything." She frustratingly says watching the happy baby giggle, showing a mouth full of gums. "But nothing's worked! It won't go back down!"

"Oi maybe that brat's hair was always meant to be like that. You ever think of that?" He annoyingly squinted his eyes before arrogantly smirking at the infant. "Besides, it doesn't look bad on him."

Watching the way Bakugo seemed to proudly grin only did so much to hide her anxiety. She tried countless times to lay his hair flat the way he had it before, but after various tries failed. What was worse was that she thought Bakugo might have had a point—which was something she was afraid of because with his hair like this he looked like a spitting image of his dad if it wasn't for the hair color.

"You would say that." She frustratingly mumbled low enough so he wouldn't hear but nonetheless saw him frowning.

"What?"

"Look, it's just been a busy day so far and Kiseki's hair is just another thing I wasn't counting on ok."

"Well what the hell's wrong with it?" he offendedly scowled back at her while the boy studied their faces for a long moment before smiling again.

"Nothing." She slowly inhaled, finding humor in the way Katsuki Bakugo seemed to take that remark quite personally, and she couldn't deny that Kiseki did in fact look adorable. "Anyways I should be going." Dismissively shaking her head, she quickly closed the backseat door before climbing to the driver's side.

"Right." Nodding he stepped away from the car as she drove off and resumed his jog before his next shift.

X

Half an hour later they emerged from one of the nearby convenience stores before climbing back into her car. "Alright we've got everything we need. So how about we go back home sweetie?" she glanced back to watch her son approvingly kicking his legs.

Smiling she turned the key only for it to give a protesting cry in return. Her brows snapped together as she tried a few more times with the same results as before. "No…" she defeatedly slumped down in her seat. "This isn't happening." Resting her forehead on the steering wheel she desperately tried holding in all her frustration and sudden urge to cry in front of her baby. "Just what I needed…"

Running past the few shops lining the sidewalk on his left he abruptly came to a stop when he recognized that same beat up car he remembered watching Uraraka leave in.

Wiping his sweaty forehead, he couldn't help but approach the vehicle when he continuously heard her trying to start the car before letting out a frustrated groan afterwards.

"Uh Round face?" With half a smirk he walks over and begins to smugly tap on her window until he sees her briefly jolt in her seat clearly not having expected him to be there. "You have to turn the key for it to work." Watching her try to glare at him through the glass was funny but watching her do it while slowly rolling down her window was downright hilarious. "You have to turn the key." He playfully repeated.

"Is that your idea of helping?" she puffed her cheeks out wondering how long he'd been standing there watching her attempt at getting her car to listen to her.

"Oh I never claimed to be helping." He quickly shook his head; his smirk never leaving his face but took a safe step away from the door in case she decided to use that as a weapon against him.

"Then what are you doing here?"

"Apparently watching Uravity learn how to start her lame excuse for a car." He cockily folded his arms over his chest.

"It's not lame, it's vintage." She argued, trying to will her car to stop embarrassing her and get her moving anywhere he wasn't.

"Well how's your vintage piece of crap working now?" he shouted over the noise.

Placing her forehead against the wheel again she only managed to mumble a "Not good."

Running his hand through his thick ash hair he took a brief look around before approaching her again. "Look Round face it doesn't take a damn genius to know you're not going anywhere right now." When she didn't bother lifting her head, he sucked in through his teeth before waving his hand. "Pop the hood, let me take a look."

"Huh?" Quizzically blinking she saw him already walking towards the front of her car but nonetheless did as was asked.

Gesturing her over he saw her remove her seat belt before he couldn't help but shout "Make sure you open your car door before exiting the antique vehicle. You know how to do that right?" he grinned. "The door has this little handle…"

Pressing her lips together she turned around to Kiseki. "Sweetie don't hate mommy if she hurts this mean man."

"Uraraka…." He patiently waited until she was standing right next to him, quickly finding the source of the problem. "So the fucked up news is that your 'vintage' car is fucked." He says. "The good news is that there's a car shop not far from here."

"Fantastic." She let out a sigh, already exhausted just thinking of how long this would take or cost. This day really wasn't turning out the way she had planned.

X

Getting the car towed over to the shop wasn't as grueling as having to hear about all the things that were wrong with it along with the price tag to get it fixed. Her eyes were just about to fall out of her head when she heard the numbers. "Could you…could you say that again?" she was barely able to keep the scream that had been building up at the back of her throat ever since her car tapped out on her.

The man behind the counter annoyingly glanced up from the clipboard he held in his hand. "Your car's in no shape to get you anywhere right now."

"But you can fix it?" she asked with a hopeful look in her eyes.

"Sure we can fix it but it's going to take some time."

"How much time?" she ordered herself to keep breathing.

"Well there's parts we need to order that we don't have available here." A small lazy smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as if to say she was going to be without a car for some time. "Considering this car is quite old…"

"Antique's more like it." Bakugo mumbled as she shot him a small glare.

Sighing she rubbed her forehead knowing that there was no way around it. Just another thing for her to worry about. "May I please see the repair costs?"

Nodding the man reached over to hand it to her.

She nearly keeled over after going over the final bill. "Wwwhhat?

"Wait." Snatching the clipboard from her hands Bakugo quickly narrowed his eyes from the paper and back to the guy behind the counter. "What-no come on that's bullshit. There's no way it's going to cost that much."

"Sorry to tell you kid but that's the price we charge here including labor." The man indifferently shrugged as he rubbed his belly.

"For what? Getting your lazy ass off this chair?" Bakugo angrily fired back. "You charge by each step you take?"

"Bakugo really it's fine." She quietly tried to hush him before turning to the man to tell him to go ahead and fix it but instead she felt Bakugo grab her by the wrist and moved her and Kiseki aside.

"No it's not idiot. That asshole knows damn well that what he's charging is complete bullshit!" he angrily shouted before grimacing when he realized Kiseki was still there. "Any other place will charge less."

"Yeah, well he's the only one close by and I really need my car fixed." She whisper shouted, trying to turn back to the man before Bakugo yanked her right back.

"Fine then I'll take you back home."

"That's really not necessarily." She stubbornly shook her head since spending time with him wasn't on the agenda any time soon.

Frustratingly groaning he briefly turned around before stepping back to her. "How the hell are you extra annoying today?!"

"Great. Thanks. My answer's still no." she slowly blinked back. "Look Bakugo I appreciate the offer, and even though you probably think that it was dumb of me to get a car like that…"

"Oi you're not stupid, you've just had bad luck thinking lately." He argued making her frown deepen. "Look I already told you I can drive you-"

"That doesn't help me later, and I rather have my own car instead." She firmly stated telling him there was no convincing her otherwise.

"Alright fine!" Nodding he marched back over to the front desk and grabbed her keys out of the man's hand along with the paper she began filling out earlier. "She's going somewhere else. I'd say it was a pleasure doing business, but I think we both know it would be a fucked up lie."

"Hey kid I've been in business for 26 years." The man angrily got to his feet.

"Yeah and I'd be surprised if you stayed open for another." He snapped back. "It's pretty fucked up for someone to try and take advantage of people who try and help scum like you every single day by trying to rob them blind. But thanks to you you've just lost a great customer."

"Baku-" Yelping Uraraka felt him tug her wrist after he grabbed the handle to Kiseki's car seat and led them outside. "Bakugo!"

"Um did you know who that was?" One of the mechanics slowly emerged from the back of the store. "That was Dynamight. The Dynamight."

"Oh crap." The man groaned as he dropped down on his seat.

X

"Bakugo hang on a minute!" Yanking her wrist free, she quickly whirled around to look back at the car shop they'd just exited. "I need my car fixed."

"Look…" he briefly looked over her shoulder. "I know a place where they can fix it and don't worry, they're reasonably priced."

"Why didn't you mention that earlier?!"

"Because it's a little far away." He admitted. "I'll just call up Kirishima and get the car towed over there."

Pursing her lips she opened her mouth with a list of protests when a familiar car pulled up next to them.

"Oh great." Bakugo huffed as he rolled his eyes.

"Is everything ok?"

"H-hey Todoroki!" Uraraka did a double take when she saw him stepping out of the car and curiously dragging his eyes between the two.

"You said you were having issues with your car?" he worriedly asked.

"You called him?!" Bakugo now turned his glare on her.

"No Midoriya told me." Todoroki explained. "So since he's busy I told him I'd check on you."

"That's sweet of you." Uraraka ignored the little side comment Bakugo made before turning back to Todoroki. "But Bakugo knows someone who can fix it."

"He does?" Todoroki confusingly asked, now turning to him.

"Yes, he does goddamn it! And stop talking about me like I'm not here!" he shouted back, impatiently tapping his foot.

"Well if you'd like, I can give you a ride home-"

"I already asked dumbass." Bakugo cut in gesturing to his own ride which only made Todoroki frown.

"W-well…" She awkwardly began.

"Well what?"

"It's not exactly kid friendly…" She apologetically smiled.

"Agreed." Todoroki gave a slow nod wondering where exactly Bakugo was intending to keep a baby in that.

"What the hell you talking about?" Bakugo quizzically looked back at his motorcycle. "Kids like it."

"Look guys I really appreciate the offer from both of you but that's not going to help me in the long run."

"I already offered to drive your ass."

"But Bakugo other than work there's other things I need a car for." She argued. "I've got errands to run, appointments to go to-"

"And you think I can't handle that shit?"

"You've already got so much on your plate." When she saw him unconvincingly stared back, she explained. "You work long hours, early mornings, and possibly late nights. It's not fair, and I'm not taking advantage of you that way. You've already done so much. End of story." There. She stood her ground and there was nothing that Bakugo could say to convince her otherwise no matter how deep his scowl suddenly turned.

None at all.

"Well if you want, we always have lenders at work-Ow ow OW!" Todoroki gave a slight jump before rubbing his arm and narrowing his eyes at the blond. "Why are you pinching me?"

"Come here you damn Half and half!" Bakugo annoyingly groaned while Uraraka only watched them move out of ear shot.

"Did I do something wrong?" Puzzled Todoroki still continued to rub his sore arm. "And was that really necessary?

"Yes!" Bakugo answered. "Look I'll help her, you got it?"

"Because she's one of our friends?"

"She's-" Bakugo began to say but instead just said "Yeah sure whatever. Well go with that, just don't mention it again."

"Alright." Nodding, they both walked back to where she was still left standing.

"So you guys have vehicles at work I could borrow?" Uraraka's hopeful gaze made Todoroki briefly glance at Bakugo before keeping a safe distance and nodding.

"We do-"

"Damn it!" Pulling Todoroki aside once more had Bakugo's vein about ready to burst. "Do you understand the definition of taking a damn hint?!" he asked only watching Todoroki's eyes constantly flicker to his arm not wanting to get pinched again. "Read between the lines you damn Icy-hot bastard." He turned and began stomping back to her.

"Wait what lines?" he confusingly responded watching Bakugo's back briefly stiffen before continuing his track to an even more startled Uraraka.

"What was that all about?" she asked.

"Nothing. He has problems hearing apparently." Bakugo mumbled just as the other man stopped next to him.

"So what were you saying Todoroki?" she asked.

"Oh…" Opening and closing his mouth Todoroki thought about the weird way Bakugo was currently behaving but nevertheless decided to go with his gut instead. "I guess I must've been mistaken…?"

Convincing someone was something Todoroki never quite excelled at when being forced to lie for no reason and today was no exception Bakugo frustratedly thought as his eye began to twitch when he heard Todoroki unconvinced monotone voice continue.

"I guess all of our rentals at the agency have already been…reserved?" he looked to Bakugo for confirmation which only made him discretely nod. Proudly raising his chin Todoroki gave her a small timid smile before leaning forward. "I'm reading between the lines."

"Oh for the love of-" Cutting in Bakugo raised his hand to stop the rest of this ridiculous conversation before it could get any worse. "How about this then…let this dense idiot drive you and your kid home today and I'll wait here for Shitty hair to take your car to the other place to get fixed."

"But-"

"I'll pick you up tomorrow too so stop arguing."

"What-no I'm perfectly capable of-"

"What? Spending more money on a ride to the daycare and work everyday while I'm offering a free ride so you can save to get your car fixed?" he deadpanned which made her roll her eyes.

"It's just…I can't accept that." She quietly answered.

Sighing he throws his hands up in defeat in a why me position. "You know what? I don't have time for this, I'm going to be late as it is, and that shitty boss of mine is going to give me an earful!"

"But I'm your boss." Todoroki slowly blinked back.

"No you're not!" Bakugo shouted over his shoulder before walking over to his motorcycle to call Kirishima.

Shrugging Todoroki opened his door to help Uraraka and Kiseki in. "Don't mind Bakugo." He said. "He's been in a foul mood lately."

"Really? Why?" she asked observing the way Todoroki got into the driver's seat and still continued to rub his arm.

"Don't know. But he's definitely meaner than usual."
