Altar of the Moone
After the group and Hapu left the area in Vast Poni Canyon where they completed their trials, they soon found themselves standing in front of a large stairway, leading up to an altar.
"Our history tells us that the Vast Poni Canyon trial was the very first trial ever to be held." said Hapu.
"Cool." said Ed.
"You all did a fine job clearing them; just as I expected from you all, escpecially you, Jimmy." said Hapu, looking at Jimmy, making him blush.
"You all cleared your seventh trials in Alola's island challenge now; that's wonderful." said Lillie.
"Thank you, Lillie." replied Edd, blushing.
"You all pushed yourselves beyond your limits and became great trainers." said Lillie.
"The Eds were great trainers before taking the island challenge." said Maxiley.
"I think this can just work out; I'm sure of it." said Hapu. "The Sun Flute and the Moon Flute; if we sound both flutes together..."
"Let's go, everyone." said Lillie.
"Yeah!" everyone else says in unison. Everyone began to run up the long stairway; moments later, they reached the top.
"Here we are; the Altar of the Moone." said Hapu.
"Whew; before our Sinnoh adventure, I would have stop to rest when we got halfway up those stairs." said Edd. "But thanks to our Sinnoh adventure, I feel my physical condition has improved."
"And my big brother has gotten a lot smarter." said Sarah, making Ed smile. Lillie looks up at the altar.
"I can feel the strong power of the moon." said Lillie. "Nebby, before I can return you to your original form, I've got to go find my mother. I have to tell her; I have to tell her how I feel, and then we will find a way to stand against Necrozma together." She turned towards Edd.
"Edd; do you still have the Sun Flute?" asked Lillie.
"Yes." replied Edd; taking the Sun Flute out of his backpack.
"You should stand on that platform over there while I stand on that one." said Lillie, pointing at a platform that was surrounded by water on the right side of the altar, then another platform surrounded by water on the left side. "Once there, we will play both flutes."
"Very well." said Edd. Moments later, Edd was on the platform on the right side of the altar while Lillie was on a platform on the left side. She and Edd look at each other and nod.
They both start to play their flutes while everyone else just watched, Suddenly, the area around the platforms start to glow with a blue light that follows a line connected to them up a tall pillar and form a circle that opens up, revealing a golden portal.A beam of multicolored light shoots out of it and hits a spot on the main platform, creating a blue energy dom.
As everyone watches in awe, Lillie's bag flies towards the dome and goes inside; Nebby comes out and starts emitting a bright blue light.
"What's wrong with Nebby?" asked Sarah. Nebby suddenly releases another blast of blinding light that forces everyone to close their eyes; when it fades, Nebby was transformed into a batlike Pokemon with a grey skeletal from on its wings that looked like a portal leading to the stars that were trimmed with gold with a matching frame under its face and on the tip of its new tail.
"Cool!" said Ed.
"Remarkable!" said Edd.
"Sweet!" said Eddy.
"Is that Nebby?" asked Jimmy.
"I think so." said Sarah.
"Nebby.. th-thank goodness... you're all right..." said Lillie. "Please don't ever do that again! You made me worry so much! And I never imagined that sounding the flutes would give you so much power.. or let you evolve to the Legendary Pokemon!"
"Mahiiiiina!" Nebby shouts out.
"Not in all of my reading... Never did I come across any hint that you would evolve into the Legendary Pokemon... Please, Lunala... "
"Lunala?" replied Sarah.
"Nebby. Please. I need to go where my mother is!" said Lillie. "We want to protect Alola, but there's no need for her to catch Necrozma all on her own!"
"Mahina-peeea!" shouts Nebby before it floats over to the group.
"Now we can finally follow after Mother and..." Lillie started to say, before Guzma suddenly falls out of nowhere.
"Oh, not Guzma again!" said Sarah.
"Where did he come from?" asked Edd.
"M-Mr Guzma!" shouts Lillie. "But you were..." Suddenly, Lusamine appears and falls onto Guzma. "Mother as well?"
"What is going on?" asked Edd. Suddenly, a wormhole opens up in midair, and a black crystallized, humanoid Pokemon comes out.
"What's that?" asked Maxiley. Edd's Rotom Pokedex comes out and points itself at the Pokemon.
"Strange; I have no data on this Pokemon." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Odd." said Edd.
"Y-You children..." Lusamine says as she reaches for the group. "Run away... That thing is a monster!"
"We're not afraid of it!" said Ed.
"Yeah!" shouts Jimmy.
"Jimmy's become a lot braver since he first received Riolu over a month ago." said Edd.
"Mother!" Lillie says to Lusamine.
"That Pokemon is Necrozma!" said Lusamine. "The instant it woke, it flew into a rage and repelled everything that came near it!"
"Whoa!" said Maxiley.
"Lillie, run from this place!" said Lusamine. "You can't do anything!"
"You don't know that!" said Sarah.
"We're not backing off!" said Eddy.
"We'll protect her!" said Edd. Necrozma looks over at Nebby who looked ready for a fight; suddenly, the two clashed and the battle begun, the two mighty Pokemon flew all over the place, colliding over and over, creating powerful shockwaves as they do.
"This is nuts!" said Eddy.
"And I thought our battle with Dialga was intense." said Edd. Suddenly, the two Pokemon flew at the group and hits the ground they were on, sending them flying, with Ed grabbing Sarah and Jimmy to protect them.
"This is getting dangerous!" said Maxiley. When the dust cleared after the impact, Necrozma was on top of Nebby.
"Get off Nebby you fathead!" said Sarah. One of Necrozma's claws starts to glow blue as it grabs Nebby's head before it starts to glow brightly; when the light faded, everyone was shocked to see that Necrozma and Nebby appeared to have merged. The two had Nebby's wings, but they were sky blue, Nebby's face had a black visor covering it, and there was a black, arrowhead-shaped chestplate on it with four red markings on it that had Necrozma's arms coming out of it; they also saw Nebby was gone.
"Oh dear; I think Necrozma absorbed Nebby into its own being." said Edd. Suddenly, more wormholes appeared around Necrozma.
"More wormholes!" said Lillie.
On Melemele Island, Kahuna Hala was walking around for a stroll when he suddenly stops.
"Wait; this disturbance I feel." said Kahauna Hala. Suddenly, a black, cuboid Pokemon that looked like it was made of black bricks and four legs that looked like that were made of black cubes appeared in front of Kahuna Hala. Suddenly, Tapu Koko appeared in front of the mysterious Pokemon.
"Did you come here as a guardian or just to battle?" asked Kahuna Hala. "The other islands must surely be facing the same threat; I'm counting on you, my comrades." On the other islands, the other Kahunas were facing other mysterious Pokemon.
At Thrifty Megamart, Eddy's brother was walking around inside of the store, trembling.
"Man, th-this place gives m-me the creeps." stammered Eddy's brother. He suddenly felt something behind him. He turns to see a Haunter, floating right in front of him; it makes a scary face at him.
A loud scream was heard outside, coming from inside Thrifty Megastore.
Back at the Altar of the Moone, the Eds, Sarah, Jimmy, and Maxiley were facing Necrozma. Will they be able to beat it? Wait and find out.
