Ride Sharpedo
The group are currently walking down Route 15 on their way to Po Town where Team Skull are holding the Pokemon they took from the Aether House.
"You know, Team Skull picked a bad time to take those Pokemon!" said Eddy. "We were about to take on the kahuna here and those jerks pulled this stunt."
"Despicable, indeed." said Eddy.
"Well, let's go; the soon we get those Pokemon back, the sooner we can do the Grand Trial." said Eddy. They soon arrived at a small beach; they began to take their Ride Pagers out of their backpacks.
"Trial goers, huh." said a tall man with black hair with white streaks on it, wearing a white and black kimono-like outfit, black scarf, and black shoes. "What brings all of you to a place like this."
"We need to get to Po Town, in a hurry." said Edd.
"If you're in a hurry, then how would you like a Ride Pokemon that can get you across the water quicker." said the man.
"Really?" asked Eddy.
"Yes; Uncle Grimsley is going to flip a coin." said the man, now identified as Grimsley as he takes out a coin. "Is it heads or tail?" Edd looked around the area; on a small ledge, he sees a Skarmory perched on it, looking at Grimsley's direction, looking like it's about to swoop down. Edd turned towards Grimsley.
"It's neither." said Edd.
"Astonishing; I have indeed been planning to have Skarmory snatch the coin out of the air as it spun." said Grimsley. "Oh well, a loss is a loss; I shall give all of you Sharpedo's info on your Ride Pagers." The group gives Grimsley their Ride Pagers; he puts Sharpedo's information on all of them, then returns them. "Sharpedos are not only faster, but they can also smash through rocks in the water."
"Cool." said Ed. The group walk to the shore and use their Ride Pagers to bring out navy blue, shark-like Pokemon with white underbellies and yellow star marking on their foreheads that had seats on top of them. Edd takes out the Rotom Pokedex and points it at the Sharpedo.
"Sharpedo, the Brutal Pokemon. It drinks in seawater and jets it from its rear to propel itself. It's very sensitive to the scent of blood." said the Rotom Pokedex. The group climbed onto the Sharpedo while Maxiley joined Sarah on hers; she sat behind him while wrapping her arms around his waist and kissing him on the cheek, making him blush.
"Let's go, everyone; the sooner we get those Pokemon back from those Team Skull jerks, the sooner we can take on the Grand Trial!" said Eddy.
"Yeah!" replied everyone else. They begin riding through the water; Ed sees a large rock in the middle of the water.
"Let's see you break through that rock, Sharpedo." said Ed. Sharpedo nods and swims incredibly fast towards the rock and rams through it, smashing it to pieces.
"Wow!" said Sarah.
"That was amazing!" said Maxiley. The group had their Sharpedos swim fast, breaking through more rocks as they do; minutes later, they arrived at another small beach. They climbed off their Sharpedos and returned them to their Ride Pagers.
"That was so cool!" said Ed.
"Come on, let's go." said Eddy.
"Hey, Maxiley; isn't that Makoa over there?" asked Jimmy, pointing at a direction. Maxiley looks and saw Makoa, facing another boy.
"It is him; looks like he's going to have a Pokemon battle." said Maxiley. "Can we watch; if I do face him at the Mask Royal's tournament, I want to know what other Pokemon he may have."
"I guess." replied Eddy. Back with Makoa, he pulls out a Net Ball while the boy pulls out a pokeball.
"Elgyem, go!" said the boy, throwing a pokeball and releasing a cyan colored Pokemon with an oval shaped head that had black lines on it, arms with a stubby red, yellow, and green fingers on each end of them, and short stubby legs and tail. Edd takes out his Rotom Pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Elgyem, the Cerebral Pokemon. This Pokémon is shrouded in mystery. It's said to have appeared from a UFO that fell from the sky about 50 years ago." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Cool!" said Ed, getting Makoa's attention; he frowns when he sees Maxiley, who frowns at him in response.
"Come to see the future winner of the Mask Royal's tournament?" asked Makoa.
"I will when I look into a mirror." replied Maxiley, making Sarah giggle. Makoa returned his attention to Elgyem's trainer.
"Larvesta, go!" said Makoa, throwing his Net ball, releasing a fuzzy, white, larva-like Pokemon. Edd points the Rotom Pokedex at Makoa's Pokemon.
"Larvesta, the Torch Pokemon. It protects itself with flame. Long years ago, people believed Larvesta had a nest on the sun." said the Rotom Pokedex. Larvesta and Elgyem face each other.
"Larvesta, use Flame Charge!" said Makoa. Larvesta becomes covered in fire and charges at Elgyem; it rams into Elgyem, knocking it back. Larvesta begins surging with energy.
"Flame Charge increases the speed of the Pokemon that uses it." said Edd.
"Elgyem, Headbutt!" said Elgyem's trainer. Elgyem flies at Larvesta and rams its head against Larvesta, knocking it back, and making it flinch. Fire suddenly surrounded Elgyem's body.
"Looks like you activated Larvesta's Flame Body ability." said Makoa.
"Oh my; now Elgyem's burned, so not only is its attack power weakened, it will also lose some stamina now and then." said Edd.
"Elgyem, use Zen Headbutt!" said Elgyem's trainer. Elgyem's head glowed blue and it rams its head into Larvesta, knocking it back. Elgyem winces in pain from its burn.
"Larvesta, Bug Bite!" said Makoa. Larvesta jumps at Elgyem and bites it, dealing super effective damage to it; when it lands back on the ground, it had a Sitrus Berry in its mouth and eats it. Some of Larvesta's wounds heal.
"Hey, that was my Elgyem's Sitrus Berry!" said Elgyem's trainer.
"Oh my; Bug Bite has the chance of consuming a berry of the Pokemon its used on." said Edd.
"Elgyem, use Psybeam!" said Elgyem's trainer. Elgyem holds out an arm and fires a multicolored beam of energy from it, it hits Larvesta, knocking it back. Elgyem loses some stamina from its burn.
"Use Take Down!" said Makoa. Larvesta charges at Elgyem and rams it, knocking it to the ground, unconscious. Larvesta winces in pain from its recoil damage, making Ed frown from his dislike of moves that hurts the Pokemon using them. "Looks like I win." Elgyem's trainer drops to his knees and returns Elgyem to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Elgyem." said Elgyem's trainer. He walks to Makoa and gives him pokedollars. "You competing in the Alola Junior's Division?"
"Why would I waste my time there?" asked Makoa, making Sarah and Jimmy glare at him. "I'm going to compete in Mask Royal's tournament."
"Me and Sarah are going to compete in the Junior's Divsion." said Jimmy, getting Elgyem's trainer's attention.
"Maybe I'll face one of you there." said Elgyem's trainer. "But for now, I need to take Elgyem to the Pokemon Center." He turns and walks away. Makoa returned Larvesta to its Net Ball and turned towards Maxiley; they both stared at each other for several seconds before Makoa turned and walked away.
"I'm going to train even harder if I'm going to have any chance of beating him." said Maxiley.
"I know you will, Maxie." said Sarah.
"Thanks, Sarah." replied Maxiley before giving her a quick kiss on the lips, making her and Ed smile.
"Come on; let's go after Team Skull." said Eddy.
"We need to get those Pokemon back for the children." said Ed. With that, the group walked down the beach towards Route 16 on their way to Po Town to take back the stolen Pokemon from Team Skull.
Meanwhile in Verdant Cavern, Eddy's brother was wandering around, doing the Island Trial.
"Now where is that Totem Pokemon thing?" Eddy's brother as he looks around, not looking where he was going, making him stub his toe on a big rock. A noise behind him startles him, making him look to see a Yungoos sticking out of a burrow. "Is that the Totem Pokemon?" He then lunges at it as it scurries back into the hole, resulting in him getting his head stuck in it. As he struggles to get free, the Yungoos comes out of another burrow and walks over behind him while baring its very sharp teeth.
A few seconds later outside Verdant Cavern, Ilima was waiting for Eddy's brother to come back out.
"What's taking him so long?" asked Ilima. "His younger brother finished his trial a lot faster." All of a sudden, he hears Eddy's brother yell out in pain, followed by him saying words that we can't mention in this fanfic. Ilima could only look with shock on his face.
'Is he really Eddy's brother?' Ilima asked himself.
