Teddiursa Time
While Luna was walking back to Jubilife Village; the Loud siblings who were staying in the Crimson Mirelands, along with Professor Laventon, and Akari; go over what they were going to do now.
"We should really focus on quelling Lady Lilligant." said Akari.
"Yeah, Commander Kamado did say we had to handle any frenzied Pokemon." said Lori.
"But we should at least take the time to explore the area some more." said Lisa. "I wish to learn what other kinds of Pokemon live here."
"Yeah, and I wanna train up my Pokemon some more." said Lynn.
"We all should if we're gonna take on that frenzied Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"That would be wise." said Professor Laventon.
"Let's do it then." said Lynn with enthusiasm.
Lily takes her Bibarel's pokeball out of her satchel and lets her out; Lily then climbs onto her and Lori leads them somewhere to do some training.
Lana climbs onto Ursaluna and she rides it off somewhere to do some exploring.
Lynn, Lincoln, Lucy, and Lisa head north of the Bogbound Camp to see what they could find.
With Lori and Lily, they were in the area where Irida and Clover fought over Lincoln, training all their Pokemon.
Lily's Bibarel learned Crunch, her Staravia got stronger, her Beautifly learned Venoshock, her Geodude learned Rock Slide, and during Cherubi's training, she froze up and started to glow.
"Chewubi evolving!" said Lily before she giggles with delight. She and Lori watch as Cherubi starts to change; when she finished, she was bigger, her body was a dark shade of pink and covered by two large, purple petals with a small green stem coming out of the top of them.
"Wonder what Cherubi is now?" asked Lori. "We'll ask Lisa next time we see her."
Lori's Staravia learned Double-Edge, her Beautifly also learned Venoshock, and her Combee froze up and started to glow.
"Another evolution?!" Lori exclaimed. She and Lily watch as Combee starts to change; when she finished, she was a slightly humanoid Pokemon with a black and yellow striped abdomen that looked like a gown with a honeycombs under it, she had arms now, and her head had mandibles, black-tipped protrusions coming out from the sides of her it, and a red, hexagon-shaped crest on her forehead.
"She looks so regal." said Lori as she looks at her newly evolved Pokemon.
With Lynn, Lincoln, Lucy, and Lisa; they found an area known as Bolderoll Slope that was teeming with rock type Pokemon.
"This will be a great place to train up my new Pokemon." said Lynn with enthusiasm.
"My Quilava and Luxray wouldn't have much of an advantage against them." said Lincoln.
"You can go somewhere else to train, but I'm staying around." said Lynn.
"Okay." said Lincoln.
"I'll accompany you, brother." said Lisa.
"I'm going to look around for more wisps." said Lucy from behind the Loud siblings, startling them.
Lynn gets to work, training her Pokemon; her Dartrix learned Air Slash, her Machop learned Bulk Up, and her Onix learned Stealth Rock. She also gets data on the Rhyhorns she battled as well.
With Lisa and Lincoln, they find an area east of the Bogbound Camp where they found some red dragonfly-like Pokemon.
"What are those?" asked Lincoln. Lisa looks through the notes that Professor Laventon gave her.
"I believe these are Yanmas." said Lisa. "We should take the opportunity to collect data on them."
"Okay." said Lincoln.
Meanwhile, with Lana, she was riding around on Ursaluna near the large mound of sludge that Lynn battled Ursaluna on. She also took the time to train up her Pokemon in the area west of it.
All her Pokemon simply got stronger, and during Munchlax's training, he freezes up and starts to glow.
"Yeah! Munchlax's evolving!" said Lana. She watches as her Pokemon starts to change... and GROW; when he was done, he was a LOT bigger, his fur was smoother, and he had a cream-colored belly and face.
Lana goes over to her newly evolved Munchlax and climbs onto his belly where she snuggles against it.
"I wonder what Munchlax is now?" asked Lana. "I'll ask Lisa next time I see her." She then climbs down from her evolved Pokemon and returns him to his pokeball. She then climbs back onto Ursaluna and continues riding while her Ride Pokemon sniffs around for a bit.
When Ursaluna starts heading a bit further east, he picks up the scent that made him drool a bit.
"What is it, Ursaluna?" asked Lana. "Do you smell something yummy?" Ursaluna takes off through a narrow path that went by a river with Lana hanging on as tightly as she could. Ursaluna soon came to a stop near a small grove of trees and starts sniffing around at some nearby honeycombs.
"Guess you wanted a snack, huh?" said Lana. She hops off and takes the time to explore the area. Some movement gets her attention, making her look to see a bunch of small, orange brown, bearlike Pokemon with crescent moon-shaped marks on their foreheads, gathered around something.
"What are those Pokemon?" Lola asked. She goes over to investigate when the bear Pokemon notice her approaching; they move away from each other, revealing Lily sitting where they were gathered, clapping and giggling merrily.
"Lily!" Lori's voice calls out from nearby; Lana looks to see her oldest sister with Lily's Bibarel, running over to Lily and picking her up.
"Hi, Lori!" said Lana.
"Lana?" Lori replied. "What are you doing here?" Lana looks back at Ursaluna who was snacking on some honey.
"What was Lily doing here with those Pokemon?" asked Lana.
"Weeeeeeeeell..." Lori said as she starts to explain.
Flashback:
Lori and Lily were following a river that went up the eastern part of the Crimson Mirelands. Lori then decides to take a break and sits down on a rock while picking Lily up off her Bibarel and setting her on the ground.
"I am, literally, tired." said Lori as she takes her sandals off.
"Literawy?" Lily replied.
"I don't know why I keep saying that word." said Lori. Lily then starts crawling off somewhere. "Don't wander off too far."
As Lily looks around, one of the little bear Pokemon comes out from behind a rock and walks over to her.
"Teddy!" Lily says as she reaches for the Pokemon with a big smile and laughs.
"That Pokemon is, literally, adorable!" said Lori. "Why do I always say 'literally'?" She watches as Lily and the Pokemon interact before more of them show up. Lily sees a honeycomb nearby, picks it up, and holds it out to the bear Pokemon.
"Honey!" said Lily. The Pokemon sniffs at it before grabbing it and starts licking, making Lily giggle. All of a sudden, the group of little bear Pokemon grab Lily, hoist her over them, and start carrying her off while she laughs with delight, surprising Lori.
"Lily!" said Lori before she quickly puts her sandals back on and starts running after her baby sister with Bibarel at her side.
End Flashback:
"Yeah, I followed them all the way here." said Lori. She looks Lily over and sees she was unharmed.
"These little guys don't seem so bad." said Lana.
"Yeah, Lily seems to trust them." said Lori. She sets her baby sister back on the ground and Lily walks over to the little bear Pokemon.
"Lola would definitely want one of those." said Lana. They suddenly hear some light growling coming from the small bear Pokemon.
"Lily, watch out!" said Lori as she runs over to her baby sister.
"Tummies." said Lily as she points at one of the little bear Pokemon's stomachs, revealing the growling Lori heard was coming from it.
"They must be hungry." said Lori.
"I don't get it." said Lana as she looks around at all the honeycomb and berry trees in the area. "There's plenty of food around here." All of a sudden, a loud roar was heard, startling everyone, especially the little bear Pokemon who begin hiding in various places.
"What was that?!" asked Lori. Soon, a large, brown, bipedal, bearlike Pokemon with a cream-colored, ring-shaped, mark on its stomach enters the area where it starts eating everything in sight.
"What's that Pokemon?" asked Lana. One of the small bear Pokemon sees a nearby honeycomb and tries sneaking over to it, but the large bear Pokemon notices and roars at the small one, making it scamper back to its hiding spot.
"That was, literally, not nice!" said Lori.
"I'll bet that bully won't let these little guys have a bite of food!" said Lana. Lily glares at the large bear Pokemon before she whistles, making her Bibarel run over to her side. The large bear Pokemon sees them and roars.
"Bibawel, Watha Pulse!" said Lily. Her Bibarel releases a mass of pulsing water from her mouth that hits the large bear Pokemon in the face, making it stumble back a bit, but it still stays on its feet. The large bear Pokemon reacts by running at Bibarel and slashes her with its large claws.
"Let's help Lily out!" said Lana as she lets her Croagunk out of her pokeball while Lori lets her newly evolved Pokemon out of hers. "What's that Pokemon?"
"I don't know." said Lori.
"Croagunk, use Mud Bomb!" said Lana. Her Croagunk launches a large glob of mud at the large bear Pokemon and hits it in the face, with some of the mud getting into its eyes.
"Use Struggle Bug, uhh, whoever you are." Lori says to her evolved Combee. Her Pokemon releases green streaks of light from her body at the large bear Pokemon and they hit it, doing damage, and wearing it out a bit. The large bear Pokemon stomps on the ground, sending a large shockwave through it that hits Croagunk, dealing super effective damage, and knocking her to the ground.
"Croagunk!" shouts Lana as she rushes over to her Pokemon and checks her over.
"Bibawel, use Wollout!" said Lily. Her Bibarel tucks itself into a ball and rolls at the large bear Pokemon, slamming into its chest, making it stagger back a bit; it reacts by slashing at Bibarel again, sending her flying back to Lily who worriedly checks her over.
"Use Gust; I, literally, have to find out what Pokemon you are." said Lori. Her Pokemon flaps her wings, releasing a gust of wind that hits the large bear Pokemon; it reacts by slashing Lori's Pokemon with its claws, making her crash to the ground.
"We need help!" said Lana as she looks over her Croagunk while Lily tries giving her Bibarel a Potion. The large bear Pokemon slowly approaches them with its claws raised, making the three sisters shield their Pokemon.
"Typhlosion, use Flamethrower!" Lincoln's voice calls out.
A large, tall, bipedal Pokemon with dark purple fur, cream-colored underbelly, face, and legs, it also had a thick, dark purple, collar of fur around its neck which had three purple and red fireballs on the front of it, and a lot of similar-colored fire coming out of the back of its neck; leaps out in front of the Loud sisters and releases a powerful stream of fire from its mouth, hitting the large bear Pokemon.
The Loud sisters look to see Lincoln and Lisa running over to them, along with the rest of Lincoln's Pokemon.
"Lincoln! Lisa!" said Lana.
"You guys okay?" asked Lincoln.
"We're fine." said Lori.
"What's that Pokemon?" asked Lana as she points at the dark purple Pokemon.
"My Quilava evolved." said Lincoln. "He's a Typhlosion now."
"Wow!" said Lana. The bear Pokemon glares at Lincoln's new Typhlosion before swiping its claws at him.
"Watch out!" said Lori. But to her surprise, the large bear Pokemon's attack goes right through Typhlosion.
"Lincoln's Typhlosion is part ghost type." said Lisa. "A normal attack like that won't have any effect on him."
"Cool!" said Lana.
"What Pokemon is that?" asked Lori as she points at the large bear Pokemon.
"I believe that one is called an Ursaring." said Lisa. "It's the evolved form of a Teddiursa."
"You mean those cute little bear Pokemon over there?" asked Lori as she points at the small bear Pokemon who were watching the battle.
"Precisely." said Lisa.
"That Ursaring thing won't let those cute Teddiursa have any food!" said Lana. "They're really hungry!"
"You have no right to deny those Teddiursas food!" Lincoln says to the Ursaring. "They're living Pokemon, and they have every right to eat!"
Meanwhile, with Irida, she gets a warm feeling in her heart.
"I have the sudden urge to kiss Lincoln like there's no tomorrow." said Irida.
Meanwhile, back with the Louds and the Ursaring, Typhlosion and Ursaring were staring each other down.
"Typhlosion, use Flame Wheel!" said Lincoln. His Typhlosion tucks himself into a ball and rolls at the Ursaring while his body becomes covered in purple and red fire, slamming into it; parts of its body become coated in fire.
"I believe that Ursaring is burned." said Lisa. Ursaring tries again to slash at Typhlosion, but like before, it didn't work; Ursaring suddenly takes damage from its burn.
"Time to end this!" said Lincoln. "Typhlosion, use one more Flamethrower, Strong Style!" His Typhlosion becomes covered in a red aura before he releases another stream of fire that washes over the Ursaring; it proves too much for it and it falls onto its back. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Ursaring, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before a firework shoots out from it.
"Nice one, Lincoln." said Lana.
"Next time one of us goes back to Jubilife, bring Ursaring back and put it in one of the pastures." said Lincoln as he picks up his Ursaring's pokeball.
"Good idea." said Lori. She then looks over at Lisa. "Hey, Lisa; can you tell me what my Combee is now?" Lisa notices Lori's evolved Combee and looks through her notes.
"Your Combee is a Vespiquen now." said Lisa. "At her current level, she should know Pin Missile and Silver Wind now."
"Lily, let out your Cherubi." said Lori. Lily giggles before she lets her evolved Cherubi out of her pokeball.
"It seems Lily's Cherubi has evolved into Cherrim." said Lisa.
"Chewim." said Lily with a giggle.
"My Munchlax evolved also." said Lana as she lets her evolved Munchlax out of his pokeball.
"It seems your Munchlax is a Snorlax now." said Lisa. Lana looks over at the Teddirusas who were coming out of hiding.
"Who's hungry?" asked Lana. The Teddiursas cheered before running over to the honeycombs and berry trees and start eating to their delight.
"I'm, literally, happy for them." said Lori.
"What's with you and that word?" asked Lisa.
"I don't remember." said Lori. Lily watches as the Teddiursas continued eating and notice that one of them looked full; she takes an empty pokeball out of her satchet and tosses it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before a firework shoots out from it.
"Lily caught a Teddiursa!" said Lana.
"Yaaay!" cheered Lily.
"What should we do now?" asked Lana.
"I think Lily had enough excitement for one day." said Lori.
"Yeah, you should bring her back to Jubilife Village and let her play around with Teddiursa for a bit to get to know... uh... is that Teddiursa a boy or a girl?" asked Lincoln.
"I believe this one is a male." said Lisa. Lori, Lana, and Lily return their Pokemon to their pokeballs.
"I got a feeling that Lola's gonna want a Teddiursa when she sees Lily's." said Lana.
"Yeah, I think she would also." said Lori.
"Can you bring this Ursaring back with you and put it in one of the pastures, Lori?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure." said Lori as she takes Ursaring's pokeball.
"Me, Lana, and Lisa will start heading for the frenzied Lady Lilligant." said Lincoln.
"See you all later." said Lori as she picks up Lily and starts walking back to Jubilife Village while Lily waves at Lincoln, Lana, and Lisa.
The Loud siblings have helped a group of Teddiursas with a ravenous Ursaring. What else will they do as their work with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps continues?
