Basculegion
The next morning, the Galaxy Team Survey Corps woke up and had breakfast.
"Once we're done eating, we'll go back to Iscan's place and have him make Basculegion's favorite snack." said Lori.
"Why does he need a Dusclops to make it?" asked Luan.
"I have no idea." said Lori.
"It doesn't matter." said Lincoln. "We just need Basculegion to help us get to Firespit Island."
"You're right, Lincoln." said Professor Laventon. "You and your sisters should hurry so you can continue with the mission."
After everyone ate, the Loud siblings headed back to Aipom Hills and soon reached Iscan's home where they see the warden already waiting for them.
"G-Good morning, Loud siblings." said Iscan.
"Good morning, Iscan." the Loud siblings replied.
"D-Did you bring it?" asked Iscan. "The Pokemon with a name that sounds like, um, d-dust... bops?"
"We did." Lucy says from behind Iscan, making him leap up in fright, before the goth Loud sister holds out Dusclops's pokeball.
"You really brought it?" asked Iscan.
"Yes." said Lucy as she was preparing to release the ghost Pokemon from the pokeball.
"N-no! Don't bring it out!" shouts Iscan.
"Why not?" asked Lana.
"Don't you need it to make Basculegion's snack?" asked Lincoln.
"R-right... I guess... I guess I've got to do my part, seeing how, um, determined you are... to go to that island... with Basculegion.." said Iscan. "Usually, I, um, ask Palina if the Growlithe she takes care of can help me with this bit, but this time, you need to help since...well, since we're making this snack do that you'll be accepted by Basculegion."
"What do we have to do?" asked Lori.
"O-once I give you the signal, you... have that 'dust bops'.." Iscan started to say.
"Dusclops." said Lucy from behind Iscan, startling him again.
"H-have Dusclops use its Dark Pulse." said Iscan.
"Never heard of a Pokemon attack being an ingredient." said Luna.
"Fascinating." said Lisa.
Lucy brings out her Dusclops while Iscan gets everything else ready.
"I-I'm going to count down from three." said Iscan. Moments later, a pot cooking over a fire was set up; Lucy and Dusclops were standing a few yards from it.
"Ready." said Lucy.
"Three... two..." Iscan said before he got scared. "Waugh! No! It's too frightening." Lola grabs Iscan by the shirt and pulls him close to her face.
"Get a grip!" yelled Lola. Iscan lets out a deep breath and Lola lets go.
"I must say, you're more frightening than Dusclops' Dark Pulse." said Iscan. "Okay, just have Dusclops use Dark Pulse on the pot...Go!"
"Dusclops, use Dark Pulse on that pot." said Lucy. Dusclops holds out her hands and releases black rings of energy that hit the pot that the other ingredients for Basculegion's snack was in with an explosion of dark energy.
Moments later, a delicious aroma fills the air, and Iscan uses what was in the pot to make a greenish-blue, ball-shaped object that had small pink specks on it.
"Is it ready?" asked Lori.
"I-It is." said Iscan. "Both the aroma and the shape are... perfect! It's the perfect ball of Basculegion Food!"
"Great!" said Lincoln.
"Then let us make for Ginkgo Landing." said Iscan. "We can summon Basculegion there."
"Okay." said the Loud siblings.
Moments later, the Loud siblings and Iscan were on a beach west of Aipom Hills, ready to summon Basculegion.
"Are you ready?" Iscan asked the Loud siblings.
"Yes, sir." said Lincoln.
"Hello, Iscan." Palina's voice calls out, making everyone look to see the Pearl Clan warden walking over to them with her two Growlithes walking side-by-side with her.
"Hi, Palina." said Leni.
"O-oh, Palina!" Iscan said to the Pearl Clan warden. "I... I thought you said we shouldn't be seen together?"
"I'm sure the Loud siblings can keep a secret." said Palina. "Besides, both I and the Growlithe pups are eager to meet with the great Basculegion again."
"I see..." said Iscan. "Well in that case, let me summon Basculegion." He then pulls a Celestica Flute out of his satchel and plays it over the water.
Moments later, a large green fishlike Pokemon with red markings on its body swims at great speed to the shore.
"Shraaa!" shouts the Pokemon.
"Is that Basculegion?" asked Lucy.
"It is." said Palina.
"Go on, Loud siblings." said Iscan. "You can give the food to Basculegion now."
Lucy grabs the green snack ball and tosses it to Basculegion who catches it in its mouth and swallows it whole.
"Oh!" said Iscan.
"Shraaa!" shouts Basculegion with a satisfied look on its face.
"The great Basculegion..." said Palina.
"O-oh... Thank goodness..." Iscan said. "I was a little worried about whether Basculegion would accept this favor."
"So, now what?" asked Luan.
"You should let Basculegion hear your playing of the Celestica Flute." said Iscan.
"I got this." said Luna as she takes her Celestica Flute out of her satchel and begins to play it; after a minute of playing, Basculegion looks at the Louds with respect. Basculegion releases a blue slab and Lucy catches it.
"It's one of those tablet things." said Lana. The Loud siblings suddenly grab their heads after pain starts going through them.
"What's wrong?" asked Palina.
"Whenever we get one of those tablet things, we get a lost memory back, but it really hurts!" said Lincoln.
"Lost memory?" asked Iscan.
After the pain subsides, the Loud siblings explain to Iscan and Palina about how they lost their memories when they first arrived in the Hisui Region.
"How sad." said Iscan.
"I hope you get all your memories back." said Palina.
"Thank you." said Lori.
"So, what memory did you all get back?" asked Palina.
"I remember a boy with dark skin and glasses." said Lincoln. "My best friend, Clyde."
"I remember my Bobby Boo-Boo Bear!" said Lori.
"Odd name." said Palina.
"I think it's a pet name." said Lori.
"Like how that Clover girl calls Lincoln her future husband or darling." said Luan as she looks at Lincoln with a big grin, making him blush.
The rest of the Louds start to remember close personal friends of theirs also.
"Now you can all ride Basculegion across Tranquility Cove and head to Firespit Island." said Iscan.
"Grawow!" said one of Palina's Growlithes.
"My congratulations to you, Loud siblings." said Palina.
"Palina... Do you want to tell them?" asked Iscan.
"I mentioned to you how the previous lord rescued his Growlithe pup." said Palina.
"Yeah." said Lori.
"During that incident, Iscan and Basculegion saved my life as well." said Palina.
"Really?" asked Luan.
"Since then, I've felt a great deal of affection for Iscan here. I truly adore him..." said Palina.
"AWWWWWWWW!" cooed the Loud sisters.
"But I know there are those who speak ill of me behind my back." said Palina. "So I try to meet with Iscan where there are no prying eyes, to preserve his reputation."
"So romantic." said Leni.
"W-well, I was just doing what any decent person would do when I saved you." said Iscan.
"Like how Lincoln caught Clover when she fell off that cliff." said Lynn.
"Or how he stood between her and an Alpha to protect her." said Lola.
"C-could we change the subject, please?" asked Lincoln with a blush on his face.
"But nonetheless; after that day, I found the strength to accept Growlithe as he is and not force him to become the next lord." said Palina. "And it was all thanks to the courage you showed me, Iscan."
"Ah... Perhaps we should save this discussion for another time, after all." said Iscan.
"Rowrr." said one of Palina's Growlithes.
"I bring good luck to my sisters wherever I go; and bad luck to anyone who crosses our paths." a familiar voice calls out.
"Oh no." said Lori.
"Not those three again." said Lisa with exasperation. Everyone looks to see the Miss Fortune Bandits standing behind them.
"I'm the eldest, and I'll be your unlucky Charm!" said Charm.
"Look! We know who you three are, so can the introduction!" shouts Lola.
"Disrespectful brat!" said Charm.
"Old lady!" shouts Lola.
"HOW DARE YOU!" Charm responds.
"You don't dare speak ill of a Miss Fortune Bandit!" said Coin. "Right, Clover?!"
"My darling!" squeals Clover as she runs over to Lincoln and tackle hugs him to the ground and starts kissing him repeatedly, making him blush, and his sisters giggle.
"This is interesting." said Palina.
"Get your hands off him!" shouts a voice the Loud siblings and Palina recognized.
"Irida!" said Palina. "Iscan, hide!"
"Right!" said Iscan as he hides behind a fallen log. Seconds later, Irida reaches Lincoln and Clover.
"What are you doing here?" asked Clover as she nuzzles and strokes Lincoln's chest.
"I said get your hands off him!" shouts Irida as she grabs Clover's braids and yanks her off Lincoln.
"Why you..." shouts Clover as she tackles Irida into the water where they start wrestling around.
"CLOVER!" shouts Charm.
"This is not the time!" shouts Coin.
"That's what you think!" shouts Clover as she slaps Irida across her face.
"We're here for the Growlithes!" shouts Charm.
"What?!" Palina replied. "You want to take my partner?!"
"That's right!" said Charm.
"If you try to do anything, then you'll have to deal with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps' Loud siblings!" shouts Lori as she and her sisters do poses; Lincoln would've, but he was too stunned by Clover kissing him.
"Now, Gengar!" shouts Charm. Some movement behind them gets their attention; they all look and see a purple ghostly Pokemon standing near Palina's Growlithes.
"What is that?" asked Lucy with interest.
"I believe this Pokemon is called a Gengar." said Lisa as she writes notes in the pokedex. "It's the evolved form of Haunter."
"Wicked." said Lucy. The Pokemon, now revealed to be a Gengar, grabs the bigger Growlithe and disappears with it.
"Where did they go?!" asked Palina. The smaller Growlithe looks over at where the Miss Fortune Bandits were and bark at them, making them look to see the bigger Growlithe with them.
"Growlithe is ours." said Coin.
"Give it back!" said Lana.
"The three of us can't live the kind of lives we want because of narrow-minded groups like the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan." said Charm. "If we want to live freely in the great land of Hisui, we need to have powerful Pokemon on our side."
"We'll make sure this Growlithe grows up strong; we'll even make it a lord for you." said Coin. "Let's take this mutt back to our camp and get to work; no one will bother us in a place so miserably hot."
"Clover, we're leaving!" Charm shouts to Clover, who was still in the water, fighting Irida.
"I'm busy!" shouts Clover before Irida slaps her across the face.
"Now!" shouts Charm.
"Fine!" yelled Clover before grabbing Irida and throwing her into the water; Clover runs to Charm and Coin. Charm takes out a smoke bomb and throws it onto the ground, creating a smoke screen; when the smoke cleared, the Miss Fortune Bandits, Gengar, and the big Growlithe were gone.
"No, Growlithe!" shouts Palina. Lincoln shakes his head to regain his senses.
"What happened?" asked Lincoln as he runs to his sisters.
"The Miss Fortune Bandits took one of the Growlithes!" said Luan.
"What?!" shouts Lincoln. A soaking wet Irida walks to Palina.
"We must get Growlithe back." said Irida.
"We'll do whatever we can to help." said Lincoln. Irida smiles before walking to Lincoln and kisses him on the cheek, making Lincoln blush, the Loud sisters giggle, and a loud scream was heard from an island.
"Thank you, Lincoln." said Irida.
The Miss Fortune Bandits have taken one of Palina's Growlithes. Will the Galaxy Team Survey Corps be able to rescue it? Wait and find out.
