Day at the Beach
The next day, Lincoln on the beach near Ambrette Town, wearing orange swim trunks, looking at the ocean with his Pokemon.
"You know, it's a nice day out, so my friends and I decided to spend some time at the beach before we continue our way to Cyllage City." Lincolns says to you.
"Hey, Lincoln." Lincoln hears Tierno calling out to him; he turns to see his friends walking to him. Tierno was wearing black swim trunks with a light blue design of a light blue ice cream cone with eyes, Trevor was wearing blue swim trunks, Serena was wearing a skirted, two-piece, red swimsuit, and Lincoln blushes when he sees Shauna wearing a dark pink, one-piece swimsuit and that three black bows going down it.
"Hey, guys." replied Lincoln.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting, Lincoln." said Shauna.
"It's okay." replied Lincoln.
"Lincoln; are you okay with getting in the water after what happened to you a month ago?" asked Serena.
"I'll be fine; besides, I don't blame the ocean for what happened, I blame Flip's piece of junk boat." replied Lincoln.
Moments later, the group was enjoying themselves on the beach, enjoying themselves; their water Pokemon were swimming in the ocean. They also spent time throwing a frisbee that had a pokeball deisgn on it around.
Later, as they laid on the beach, relaxing, Lincoln looks around and sees a large rock with several cracks on it and remembers what the woman in Ambrette Town who gave him the Rock Smash TM told him and his friends about valuable items being found under rocks.
"Hey, Lucario, can you follow me for a minute?" asked Lincoln. Lucario nods before following him as he walks to the large rock. "Use Rock Smash on that rock." Lucario walks to the rock and raises an arm; it glows white and Lucario smashes it on the rock, breaking it to pieces. Lincoln looks at where the rock use to be and finds a red, four-pointed rock. Lincoln walks to it and picks it up.
"Wow, Lincoln; that's a Star Piece." said Trevor as he walks to Lincoln.
"Is it important?" asked Lincoln.
"If selling something that's worth 4,900 pokedollars so you can buy more items for our journey, then yes, it is important." replied Trevor.
"Whoa." replied Lincoln, looking at the Star Piece. He puts it in his pocket and he and Trevor return to their friends.
"Hey, Lincoln; want to go swimming with me?" asked Shauna.
"Sure." replied Lincoln. He and Shauna run to the ocean and jumped into it.
Moments later, Lincoln and Shauna were underwater, looking around, admiring the beauty of the ocean floor. Lincoln and Shauna looked at each other and smile; they looked back towards the ocean floor and see several heart-shaped, fishlike Pokemon swimming towards them and they go between them.
Minutes later, Lincoln and Shauna were walking back onto the shore.
"How was it there, you two?" asked Serena.
"It was great; we saw these heart-shaped Pokemon down there." replied Lincoln. Serena looks towards the ocean and sees one of the Pokemon floating in the ocean. She reaches into her backpack and pulls out her pokedex; she points it at the Pokemon.
"Luvdiscs, the Rendezvous Pokemon. It lives in warm seas. It is said that a couple finding this Pokémon will be blessed with eternal love." said Serena's pokedex. Lincoln and Shauna blushed, and they both looked at each other.
"What's wrong?" asked Tierno.
"Several Luvdiscs swam between me and Lincoln." replied Shauna.
"Oh, so you two are now blessed with eternal love?" asked Serena with a smirk. Lincoln and Shauna look down, their blushes deepening. "Relax, I was just teasing."
Later, the group were sitting on their towels, having lunch. As they ate, Lincoln and Shauna looked at each other before looking away and continued eating. After Trevor finished a sandwich he was eating, he was reaching for another sandwich on his plate when some sand falls onto it.
"What the?" said Trevor. He and the others looked to see an athletically built boy with tan skin and sandy blonde hair, wearing a white tank top, red swim trunks, and a black belt with pokeballs on it, standing near Trevor, looking down at him, smirking while one of his legs was up a little, indicating he kicked the sand onto Trevor's sandwich.
"Now that's what I call a sand-wich." said the boy.
'And I thought Luan's jokes were bad.' Lincoln thinks to himself, sadly from remembering his comedian sister.
"What did you kick sand in my sandwich for?!" asked Trevor.
"If I feel like doing something, I do it." replied the boy.
"Well, if you feel like getting lost, you should!" said Lincoln, standing up.
"Sit down, kid, unless you want to get hurt." replied the boy. The boy then looks at Shauna. "Hey, babe; want to go on a walk by the ocean with me?" Lincoln glares at the boy
"Sorry, you're not my type." replied Shauna, glaring at the boy.
"Well, who is your type?" asked the beach bully.
"The non-jerk type." replied Shauna. The boy grabs Shauna by the arm and pulls her off the ground; Lincoln clenches his teeth and his face reddens.
"If I want something, I get it." said the beach bully, frowning at Shauna. "I think you should reconsider my offer."
"Stop; you're hurting my arm!" yelled Shauna.
"Hey, you let go of her!" yelled Lincoln. The beach bully looks at Lincoln and let's go of Shauna's arm; she rubs her arm.
"You got a problem with me, runt?" asked the beach bully.
"Yeah; you messing with my friends!" replied Lincoln.
"You want to do something about it?" asked the beach bully.
"How does a Pokemon battle sound?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure, I guess." said the beach bully. "You win, I leave; you lose, that babe there goes on a date with me." Lincoln and Shauna look at each other.
"Is there any other way for you to leave besides beating you in a Pokemon battle?" asked Lincoln.
"Nope." replied the beach bully.
"Battle him, Lincoln." said Shauna.
"You sure?" asked Lincoln.
"I believe in you." replied Shauna. Lincoln nods and turned towards the beach bully.
"All right, I'll battle you." said Lincoln.
"This shouldn't take long." said the beach bully.
Moments later, Lincoln and the beach bully were standing several feet from each other while the rest of Lincoln's group watched.
"Get this guy, Lincoln!" said Tierno.
"How many Pokemon are we using?" asked Lincoln.
"How does two sound?" asked the beach bully.
"Sounds good to me." said Lincoln. He and the beach bully each pull out a pokeball.
"Zangoose, go!" said the beach bully, throwing a pokeball and releasing a white, bipedal, catlike Pokemon with red markings on its body and two long black claws on each end of its arms. Tierno points his pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Zangoose, the Cat Ferret Pokemon. It has feuded with Seviper for many generations. Its sharp claws are its biggest weapons." said Tierno's pokedex.
"Go, Lucario!" said Lincoln, throwing Lucario's pokeball and releases him.
"Zangoose, use Leer!" said the beach bully. Zangoose glares at Lucario while its eyes glowed red; Lucario slumps as his defense weakens.
"Lucario, use Power-Up Punch!" Lucario runs towards Zangoose while an orange aura surrounded his hand; he punches Zangoose with it, dealing super effective damage; Lucario begins surging with energy and his attack strength increases.
"Zangoose, Crush Claw!" said the beach bully. Zangoose runs at Lucario while its claws glowed light blue and it claws Lucario with them, doing moderate damage due to Lucario's weakened defense; Lucario begins to slump.
"Crush Claw can sometimes weaken the defense of the Pokemon it hits, Lincoln." said Trevor.
"Lucario, Force Palm!" said Lincoln. Lucario runs at Zangoose while one of his paws glowed light blue and thrusts the palm of it into Zangoose, dealing super effective damage; Zangoose begins twitching.
"Zangoose is paralyzed." said Trevor.
"Zangoose, use Revenge!" said the beach bully. Unfortunately for him, paralysis stops Zangoose from attacking.
"Lucario, Quick Attack!" said Lincoln. Lucario charges at Zangoose with incredible speed and rams it, knocking it to the ground, unconscious.
"No way!" shouts the beach bully.
"Good one, Lincoln!" said Tierno.
"Show that jerk!" said Serena. The beach bully returns Zangoose to its pokeball and puts it in on his belt, then pulls out another one.
"Binacle, go!" said the beach bully, throwing a pokeball and releasing a Pokemon that looked like a rock with two orange and white striped arms with brown, clawed hands with eyes and a mouth on the palm of each one. Trevor points his pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Binacle, the Two-Handed Pokemon. Two Binacle live together on one rock. When they fight, one of them will move to a different rock." said Trevor's pokedex.
"Lucario, use Force Palm!" said Lincoln. Lucario runs at Binacle while his paw glowed light blue.
"Binacle, use Withdraw!" said the beach bully. Binacle wraps its arms around the rock they were on and increases its defense before Lucario thrusts his palm into it, dealing super effective damage.
"Now use Clamp!" said the beach bully. Binacle leaps at Lucario and wraps its arms around him; it squeezes him, dealing more damage than it normally would have due to Lucario's defense being weakened by Zangoose's Leer and Crush Claw. "Just so you know, twerp, my Binacle has the Tough Claws ability; powers up his physical attacks."
"Lucario, use Counter!" said Lincoln. Lucario becomes surrounded by an orange aura and he punches Binacle, dealing super effective damage. Binacle struggled to get up.
"Binacle, use Mud-Slap!" said the beach bully. Binacle sprays mud from both their mouths and they hit Lucario, dealing super effective damage; some of the mud lands on Lucario's eyes and lowers his accuracy.
"Lucario, Aura Sphere!" said Lincoln. Lucario holds out a paw and a ball of blue energy forms in front of it; Lucario launches it and was able to land a direct hit on Bincacle, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"No!" yelled the beach bully.
"Way to go, Lucario." said Lincoln.
"All right, Lincoln!" said Tierno.
"That was great." said Trevor.
"I knew he could do it." said Shauna. The beach bully growls before returning Binacle to its pokeball.
"I won, now get lost." said Lincoln. The beach bully glares at Lincoln.
"You won this time, but next time, you won't be so lucky!" yelled the beach bully.
"So, we'll see each other again?" asked Lincoln. "Dang it."
"You beat me this time; next time you won't be so lucky." said the beach bully. He throws pokedollars at Lincoln's feet and runs away. As Lincoln picks up the pokedollars, his friends walk to him.
"You showed that guy not to mess with you." said Tierno.
"Or my friends." said Lincoln; everyone else nods. Lincoln walks over to Shauna.
"Is your arm okay, Shauna?" asked Lincoln.
"It's fine." replied Shauna, looking at her arm. Lincoln turned towards where the beach bully ran with a frown; Shauna looks at Lincoln, blushing. She leans towards him and kisses him on the cheek, making him blush. "Thank you, Lincoln."
"N-No problem." replied Lincoln.
"Want to walk by the ocean with me, Lincoln?" asked Shauna. "It's better than doing it with that jerk."
"I'd be glad to." replied Lincoln. He and Shauna began walking by the ocean.
Later, the group went to the Ambrette Town Pokemon Center and changed into their regular attire; after that, they packed their belongings and left the Pokemon Center.
Moments later, they were walking down the lower part of Route 8 on their way to Cyllage City. As they did, Lincoln and Shauna think about their encounter with the school of Luvdiscs; they look at each other before looking ahead, blushing.
It was an eventful day at the beach for Lincoln and his friends. What else awaits them as their Kalos adventure continues?
