Ruins on Route 8
After Ronnie Anne's battle with Hop, the group enters Route 7 and look around at all the Pokemon that were there.
"Hey, is that a Morpeko?" asked Luna as she spots the brown and black Pokemon running out of some nearby grass.
"Yeah, just like Marnie's." said Lola as she looks at Lincoln with a grin, making him blush.
"Hopefully she doesn't find out about that Gloria girl we met back in Ballonlea." said Leni.
"Let's just keep going." said Lincoln before he looks at the map on his Rotom Phone. "This says we need to head north through Route 8 to get to Circhester."
"We should train up our Pokemon along the way also." suggested Ronnie Anne.
"Yeah." said Lana.
"Wait!" said Lola. "I wanna swap my Indeedee for my Ponyta."
"How come?" asked Lincoln.
"The book Madam Opal gave me said that when a Ponyta evolves, it becomes part fairy." said Lola.
"I guess you want more fairy types for when you become the Ballonlea gym leader." said Ronnie Anne. The group waits while Lola makes the swap; after she was done, the group make their way through an archway in a stone wall and enter an area that was full of ruins.
"Cool!" said Ronnie Anne as she looks around at everything. After everyone takes in the scenery, they all start to look around for wild Pokemon to battle against.
Lincoln's Cinderace got stronger, his Gyarados learned Hurricane, his Boltund learned Wild Charge, his Lycanroc learned Scary Face, his Alolan Sandshrew learned Swords Dance and Hail, and Lucario learned Heal Pulse and Meteor Mash.
Clyde's Gallade learned Psycho Cut, his Venusaur learned Worry Seed, his Incineroar got stronger, his Urshifu learned Dynamic Punch, his Flareon got stronger, and his Liepard got stronger also.
Leni's Gardevoir learned Psychic, her Tsareena learned Aromatic Mist and Aromatherapy, her Ninetales got stronger, her Lopunny learned Entrainment and Flatter, her Seaking learned Soak, and her Glaceon learned Freeze-Dry.
Lucy's Dusknoir learned Shadow Ball, her Gengar learned Dark Pulse, her Trevenant learned Ingrain and Wood Hammer, her Decidueye learned Sucker Punch, and Leaf Blade, her Jellicent learned Hydro Pump, and her Doublade learned Power Trick.
Lana's Salazzle learned Dragon Pulse, her Stoutland learned Take Down, her Sandaconda learned Slam, her Garbodor got stronger, and Seismitoad and Excadrill both got stronger.
Luna's Gigalith learned Sandstorm, her Toxtricity learned Overdrive and Boomburst, her Exploud, Poliwhirl, and Sharpedo all got stronger, and her Linoone learned Taunt.
Lola's Alolan Vulpix, Sylveon, Whimsicott, and Ribombee all got stronger, her Primarina learned Hyper Voice, and aside from her Ponyta learning Heal Pulse, she started to glow.
"Ponyta's evolving!" said Lola. Everyone watches as Lola's Pokemon starts to change right before their eyes; when she was done, she was bigger, her mane was longer and smoother, the fur around her ankles, plus the horn on her forehead, were longer. Everyone could only gawk at Lola's newly evolved Pokemon while she points her Rotom Phone at her.
"Rapidash, the Fire Horse Pokemon, and the evolved form of Ponyta. Brave and prideful, this Pokémon dashes airily through the forest, its steps aided by the psychic power stored in the fur on its fetlocks." said Lola's Rotom Phone.
"She's... BEAUTIFUL!" said Lola as she hugs her new Rapidash. "And my Rotom Phone says she knows Psycho Cut now also." Suddenly, Rapidash kneels down and gestures towards her back.
"I think she wants you to hop on." said Luna. Lola's eyes were teary as she climbs onto her Rapidash's back.
"Her fur is so smooth and warm." said Lola.
Ronnie Anne's Blastoise grew stronger, her Luxray learned Thunder Wave, her Lycanroc learned Crunch and Scary Face, her Larvesta learned Take Down, her Sneasel learned Beat Up and Agility, and her Hawlucha learned Sword Dance and Flying Press.
Sam's Meowstic learned Imprison and Quick Guard, her Toxtricity learned Overdrive and Boomburst, her Gastrodon learned Rain Dance, her Gourgeist learned Pain Split and Phantom Force, her Stunfisk learned Snap Trap, and her Steelix learned Sandstorm, Dig, and Iron Tail.
As the group travels through the ruins, they see a Pokemon they haven't seen before; it was gray, had a round body, small arms and feet, lightning bolt-shaped tail with a yellow tip, and yellow and brown triangle-shaped ridges on its back.
"It's, totes, adorbs!" said Leni before she points her Rotom Phone at it.
"Togedemaru, the Roly-Poly Pokemon. When it's in trouble, it curls up into a ball, makes its fur spikes stand on end, and then discharges electricity indiscriminately." said Leni's Rotom Phone.
"I'm, totes, catching it!" said Leni as she takes out her Ninetales' pokeball and lets her out of it.
"Do it, Leni!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Ninetales, use Fire Spin!" said Leni. Ninetales releases a spiral of fire that surrounds Togedemaru, dealing super effective damage; all of a sudden, the Togedemaru bursts through the fiery vortex while coated in electricity and rams into Ninetales.
"Be careful, Leni!" said Clyde.
"Ninetales, use Incinerate!" said Leni. Ninetales releases a fireball from her mouth which hits the Togedemaru, dealing super effective damage, and knocks it onto its back. Leni quickly pulls out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Togedemaru, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Leni!" said Luna.
"Yay!" cheered Leni as she claps before she looks up her new Pokemon's information while its pokeball disappears to storage. "My Togedemaru is a girl, she knows Nuzzle, Tackle, Defense Curl, Charge, Thunder Shock, Fell Stinger, Spark, Pin Missile, Magnet Rise, and Zing Zap; she has the Iron Barbs ability which hurts any Pokemon that hits her with a part of their bodies."
"That'll show any Pokemon that tries to go head-to-head with her!" said Lana.
"Let's keep going." said Lincoln.
As the group walk by a wall with a hole at the base of it, they see a line of six, black, spherical Pokemon with stubby legs, blue eyes, and golden shells that resemble helmets that have red horns on them.
"What is that little dude?" asked Luna, taking out her Rotom Phone and pointing it at the Pokemon.
"Falinks, the Formation Pokemon. The six of them work together as one Pokémon. Teamwork is also their battle strategy, and they constantly change their formation as they fight." said Luna's Rotom Phone.
"This one's mine." said Luna, pulling out Toxtricity's pokeball and letting him out of it. "Okay, dude; use Discharge!" Toxtricity releases bolts of electricity from his body and they hit Falinks. It charges at Toxtricity in single file and the one in front rams into him, damaging him, and making him flinch. The one in front of the line strikes Toxtricity with its leg, but it didn't do much damage, but appered to weaken Toxtricity's defense.
"Use Overdrive!" said Luna. Toxtricity strums the protusions on its chest, releasing an electrical soundwave from them, and they hit Falinks. It charges at Toxtricity and rams him, knocking him back. "Use Charge!" Toxtricity becomes surrounded by yellow sparks. Falinks becomes surrounded by a light red aura.
"Use Spark!" said Luna. Toxtricity becomes surrounded by electricity and rams Falinks, knocking it against a wall; as it tries to get up, static electricity surrounds its body.
"It's paralyzed." said Lincoln. Luna takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Falinks, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around a few times until it clicked.
"Radical! Falinks is mine!" said Luna. Falink's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. Luna uses her Rotom Phone to look up Falink's information.
"Okay; this Pokemon has no gender, but it has moves like Tackle, Protect, Rock Smash, Focus Energy, Headbutt, Bulk Up, Endure, Reversal, First Impression, and No Retreat." said Luna. "It has the Battle Armor ability, which prevents it from receiving critical damage."
Lana looks in the hole that the Falinks came out of and sees a pink, rectangular plate.
"What's this?" asked Lana as she grabs the object and holds it out for everyone to see.
"That's a Pixie Plate!" said Lola.
"How do you know?" asked Lucy.
"As the future Ballonlea gym leader; I made it a point to learn everything I can about fairy types." said Lola. "That Pixie Plate will boost the power of any fairy type attack of the Pokemon that's holding it."
"I guess you need this more than I do." said Lana as she hands the Pixie Plate to Lola, who then lets out her Sylveon, then gives her the Pixie Plate.
"Hey, look at what I found." said Sam, running to the group, holding out a rock that resembled a crown.
"That's a King's Rock." said Lincoln. "If a Slowpoke or a Poliwhirl is holding one when they're traded, they'll evolve."
"Whoa; that'll be great for my Poliwhirl." said Luna.
"Want it?" asked Sam.
"Sure." replied Luna. Sam gives Luna the King's Rock. She releases her Poliwhirl from his pokeball; she gives him the King's Rock, then returns him to his pokeball.
"Let's keep going." said Luna.
The group are on their way to Circhester City. What will they experience on the way there as their Galar adventure continues?
