Sky Titan Battle
The boys are right now making their way towards the location of the Sky Titan. Along the way, they make sure their Pokemon that were walking with them got battle experience to get them stronger.
Lincoln's Floragto, Pawmo, and Shellder all got a bit stronger; his Tinkatink learned Draining Kiss, his Charcadet learned Night Shade, and his Rockruff learned Bite.
Clyde's Quaxwell, Kirlia, Fidough, Swablu, and Nacli got stronger, and his Litleo learned Take Down.
When they were close to the mountain that the Sky Titan was located, they hear the sound of wings flapping above them, making them look up to see several Bombirdiers swooping towards them.
"Watch out!" said Lincoln as he and Clyde dive down to the ground.
"That's a lot of Bombirdiers!" said Clyde. "Must be an outbreak."
"Let's battle them." said Lincoln. "It will give us some experience for when we take on the Titan one."
"You got it." said Clyde. Their Pokemon stood ready for battle.
"Floragato, use Quick Attack! Pawmo, use Thunder Shock! Shellder, use Ice Shard! Tinkatink, use Draining Kiss! Charcadet, use Fire Spin! Rockruff, use Rock Throw!" said Lincoln.
"Quaxwell, Low Sweep! Kirlia, Disarming Voice! Fidough, Play Rough! Nacli, Rock Throw! Swablu, Dragon Breath! Litleo, Headbutt!" said Clyde.
Their Pokemon unleashed their attacks on the flock of Bombirdiers with some doing super effective damage to them.
A Bombirdier that was flying above them suddenly swoops towards Lincoln; Pawmo notices this and leaps towards it, and hits it with a Nuzzle attack, doing super effective damage to it, and knocking it to the ground.
"Man, that was close." said Lincoln. "Thanks, Pawmo." He then takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Bombirdier that came at him, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking. Clyde, not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to add to his collection, also takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at a Bombirdier, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball also wiggles around before clicking.
"Yes! We caught Bombirdiers!" said Clyde. The remaining Bombirdiers, seeing their comrades knocked out, fly away.
"Good work, everyone." Lincoln says to their Pokemon. As they cheered in victory, Pawmo suddenly freezes up and starts to glow.
"Hey! Pawmo's evolving!" said Clyde. Everyone watches as Pawmo starts to change. When she was done, she was taller, she was a brighter shade of orange, she had a spiky ring of fur around her neck, and the tuft of fur on her head was thicker and spiky as well. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Pawmot, the Hands-On Pokemon, and the final evolutionary stage of Pawmi. This Pokémon normally is slow to react, but once it enters battle, it will strike down its enemies with lightning-fast movements." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln. "And this says it learned that my Pawmot learned Revival Blessing after evolving, plus it learned Spark after battling those Bombirdiers."
"My Quaxwell learned Aqua Cutter, my Kirlia learned Life Dew, my Fidough learned Work Up, and my Litleo learned Fire Fang." said Clyde as he looks at his Rotom Phone. Lincoln notices that some of his Pokemon learned new moves as well besides his new Pawmot.
"My Floragato learned U-Turn, Shellder learned Aurora Beam, and Tinkatink learned Sweet Kiss." said Lincoln.
They then decide to return their Pokemon to their pokeballs and proceed towards their destination. Ten minutes later, they reach the bottom of the mountain where they saw the Sky Titan yesterday.
"You ready to take on a Titan?" Lincoln asked Clyde.
"Yeah, but we should let Arven know about this." said Clyde as he takes out his Rotom Phone.
"And I promised my sisters I would let them watch the next Titan battle we have." said Lincoln as he takes out his Rotom Phone and calls his family.
"Hey, bro." said Luna after his family answered his call.
"What are you up to?" asked Lori.
"We're about to take on another Titan Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"Cool!" said Lana.
"Where is it at?" asked Lynn Jr. Lincoln holds his Rotom Phone towards the mountain to show the Titan Bombirdier flying above the peak while carrying something in its apron; all of a sudden, it releases several boulders that roll down the path towards them.
"Watch out!" said Clyde as he and Lincoln dive to the side to avoid the incoming rocks.
"I know the Rotom Phone says that it drops objects from its apron for fun; I should've realized a large one would drop large objects." said Lincoln.
"How are you going to get up there if it's dropping boulders?!" asked Luna. Lincoln thinks for a minute and sees the Titan flying off somewhere.
"It must be going off to find more boulders." said Lincoln. "Maybe we can get up the hill while it's gathering some."
"Lincoln, it's way too dangerous!" said Rita.
"I have to, Mom." said Lincoln. "I promised Arven that I would help him."
"I know that, but there must be a better way." said Rita. Just then, they hear the sound of something approaching them from behind, making them turn to see a large, red-scaled, quadrapedal Pokemon with white, red, and purple plumage on its head and rear, along with what looked like a wheel jutting from its belly; moving towards them.
"What is that?" asked Lana with interest. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the mysterious Pokemon.
"Koraidon, the Paradox Pokemon. This seems to be the Winged King mentioned in an old expedition journal. It was said to have split the land with its bare fists." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Hey!" said Arven from somewhere. Lincoln and Clyde look around and soon see him riding on the Koraidon.
"Hi, Arven." said Lincoln.
"Who's that?" asked Lola.
"That's Arven; he's the one we're helping gather Herba Mystica for." said Lincoln.
"Who are you talking to?" asked Arven.
"My family back home." said Lincoln who points his Rotom Phone towards Arven so his family can see him. Leni's eyes widen and she blushes when she sees him.
"Bah...Bah...Bah..." stammered Leni. Arven sees Leni on the screen and looks away with a blush.
"A-A-Anyway; where's the Titan Pokemon?" asked Arven.
"It's at the top of this mountain." said Clyde as he points towards the peak where the Titan Bombirdier just came back.
"Why haven't you gone up there yet?" asked Arven. He got his answer when the Titan drops more boulders that roll down the hill.
"That's why." said Lincoln.
"I'm not really sure we can get up that hill quickly enough between when it drops boulders and goes off to find more." said Clyde.
"Good point." said Arven. He looks at the Koraidon he was riding on, then at Lincoln and Clyde. "Hop on!"
"What?" replied Lincoln.
"Koraidon here is pretty fast and I'm sure he can make it up the hill fast enough; plus, it's strong enough to carry the three of us no problem." said Arven.
"Okay, Arven." said Lincoln. He, Clyde, and Arven all climbed onto Koraidon with Lincoln up front; Koraidon begins charging up the hill. "Okay, Clyde; you look out for any boulders."
"Got it, buddy." replied Clyde. They continued riding Koraidon up the hill. "Got a boulder coming up the left!" Lincoln veered Koraidon to the right and the boulder rolled past them. "Got two coming down the center!" Lincoln then veered Koraidon to the left, dodging the boulders. Clyde looks up at the Titan Pokemon to see it wasn't carrying anymore boulders. "Looks like it's out of boulders."
"So, now's the chance to take that Titan on." said Lincoln. They soon reached the top of the mountain; they all hopped off Koraidon. "Thanks, Koraidon." Koraidon nods in response. Lincoln and Clyde walked to a mountain ledge where the Titan Pokemon flies up from below it and looks down at the boys. Lincoln and Clyde each pull out a pokeball.
"Pawmot, go!" said Lincoln, throwing Pawmot's pokeball and releasing her.
"Go, Fidough!" said Clyde, throwing Fidough's pokeball and releasing her.
"Pawmot, Charge!" said Lincoln. Pawmot becomes covered in yellow sparks.
"Fidough, Leer!" said Clyde. Fidough stares at the Titan Bombirdier and her eyes glow red, weakening the Titan's defense. The Titan Pokemon flies at Pawmot and strikes her with one of its wings, knocking Pawmot back.
"Pawmot, Nuzzle!" said Lincoln. Pawmot rubs her cheeks with her paws and electricity comes out of them; she jumps at the Titan Pokemon and rubs her cheeks against it, dealing massive damage due to Charge powering up her electric type attack, and its defense being weakened. The Titan Pokemon begins twitching and static electricity surrounds its body.
"Looks like it's paralyzed." said Clyde. "Okay, Fidough; Play Rough!" Fidough pounces onto the Titan Pokemon and starts hitting it with her paws, dealing super effective damage. The Titan Bombirdier's beak glows white, but paralysis stops it from attacking.
"Quick Attack!" said Lincoln. Pawmot charges at the Titan Pokemon with incredible speed and rams it, knocking it back. The Titan Pokemon flies over them and rams its beak into the side of the mountain.
"What's it doing?" asked Lynn Jr. The Titan Pokemon continued to peck at the mountain until it made a big hole in it; it reaches into it with its beak and pulls out a glowing green Herba Mystica.
"An Herba Mystica!" said Arven. He pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. "Okay, Nacli; come out!" He throws the pokeball and releases a Nacli. The Titan Pokemon eats the Herba Mystica; a surge of green energy surrounds it. The Titan Pokemon turned towards Lincoln, Clyde, and Arven.
"Looks like it's time for round two." said Lincoln. The Titan Bombirdier flew towards Fidough and jabs her with its beak.
"Pawmot, Charge!" said Lincoln. Pawmot starts gathering energy into herself that raises her special defense.
"Fidough, Tackle!" said Clyde. Fidough runs at the Titan Pokemon and rams it, knocking it back.
"Nacli, Smack Down!" said Arven. Nacli forms a golden ball of energy in front of it and launches it at the Titan Pokemon, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it to the ground. The Titan Bombirdier flies at Nacli and hits it with its wing, but not dealing much damage.
"Pawmot, Thunder Shock!" said Lincoln. Pawmot releases electricity from her body and it hits the Titan Pokemon, dealing enough damage to knock it out. "We did it!"
"Way to go, everyone." said Arven.
"You were great, Pawmot." Lincoln says to Pawmot, making her nod in response.
"You too, Fidough." said Clyde, patting Fidough's head.
"Great job, son." said Lynn Sr.
"That was so cool!" said Lana.
Arven turned towards the hole the Titan Bombirdier made and ran into it with Lincoln and Clyde following after him. They found themselves inside a cavern; Lincoln looks around and spots the Herba Mystica.
"There it is, Arven." said Lincoln, pointing at the Herba Mystica. Arven looks and spots it; he runs to it and pulls his book out of his backpack; he looks through it.
"According to this, this is the Bitter Herba Mystica; it's supposed to be good for blood circulation." said Arven.
"Fascinating." said Lisa. Arven puts the book away and looks at Lincoln and Clyde; he pulls out a pokeball and throws it, releasing a large, doglike Pokemon. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Mabosstiff, the Boss Pokemon, and the evolved form of Maschiff. This Pokémon can store energy in its large dewlap. Mabosstiff unleashes this energy all at once to blow away enemies." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"This is Mabosstiff; he's my partner." said Arven.
"Hey, boy." said Lana. Mabosstiff just laid there. "Is something wrong with it?"
"Yes; my buddy was...hurt pretty bad a while ago. Real bad in fact." said Arven. "He never really recovered."
"Can't you just take him to a Pokemon Center?" asked Lincoln.
"I tried; they said it wasn't any regular injury or sickness." replied Arven. "Aside from you and Clyde, Mabosstiff is my closest friend. I care for him more than anything else in the world, so I promised him I would make him better, whatever it takes."
"Oh, Arven; that is so kind of you." said Leni, making Arven blush. He then kneels down and pats Mabosstiff's head.
"Anyway, I looked online, read every book I can find, tried every known remedy I could find, but nothing really worked." said Arven.
"Such dedication." said Lisa. Arven then pulls out the book and opens a page; he shows it to everyone; the page talked about the Herba Mystica.
"Then I found out about the Herba Mystica; this book is full of crazy legends and stories no one would normally believe, but I believe it." said Arven. "This book says eating all five of the Herba Mystica can cure anything that ails you."
"Did you give Mabosstiff the first Herba Mystica we found?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes; before he ate it, his paws were cold as ice, but after he ate it, they warmed up." said Arven.
"So, you're collecting the Herba Mysticas to help Mabosstiff?" asked Clyde.
"Exactly." replied Arven.
"Okay; now I really want to help find the rest of the Herba Mysticas." said Lincoln.
"Me, too; anything to help your friend." said Clyde.
"Thanks, you two." said Arven.
He then goes to work and makes sandwiches for everyone. While Lincoln and Clyde ate theirs, which really tasted bitter, Arven gives pieces to Mabosstiff.
"How are you feeling now, boy?" asked Lincoln. Everyone waits a few moments before Mabosstiff's eyes open a bit.
"His eyes are open!" exclaimed Arven with joy.
"Is that good?" asked Leni.
"It's awesome!" said Arven as he wept. "It's been so long since I've seen his eyes open like that!"
"We're happy that Mabosstiff's getting better." said Clyde.
"Totes!" said Leni.
"Thanks, everyone!" said Arven.
Lincoln and Clyde have helped Arven locate the second Herba Mystica and helped his Mabosstiff recover a bit more. Will they find the other three? Will they help Mabosstiff make a full recovery? Wait and find out.
