Let's Ride
After Lincoln gets his Pokemon back from the Pokemon Center after his gym battle, he and Clyde look at the maps on their Rotom Phones to see where they should go next.
"What now, buddy?" Clyde asked Lincoln.
"The next gym is in a city that's close by called Levincia." said Lincoln.
"And it looks like there's another Team Star base nearby as well." said Clyde.
"Let's check out the East Province for a while." said Lincoln. "I want to see if there's any new Pokemon we haven't see yet."
"Yeah, maybe some we can use against the next Team Star crew." said Clyde.
"And I want to train up my Floragato, Pawmot, Shellder, and Rockruff for a while also." said Lincoln. "I think Charcadet and Tinkatuff have done enough battling for one day."
"Good call." said Clyde. The two start walking down a path while looking around for more Pokemon while training up the ones they have with them, except for Tinkatuff and Charcadet.
Lincoln's Floragato learned Worry Seed, his Pawmot learned Thunder Wave, his Shellder learned Protect, and his Rockruff learned Rock Tomb.
Clyde's Quaxwell learned Air Slash, his Kirlia learned Charm, his Fidough learned Baton Pass, his Swablu learned Safeguard and Sing, and his Nacli and Litleo got stronger.
After the training was done, Clyde's Nacli and Fidough started to glow.
"Hey, they're evolving!" said Clyde.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln as he and Clyde watch Nacli and Fidough start to change before their eyes.
When Nacli was done, her body was bigger, her head was a white elongated block with orange eyes, her upper body was a long, brown, rectangular block; her lower body was a white one, and her legs were light brown and white cubes. Clyde points his Rotom Phone at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Naclstack, the Rock Salt Pokemon, and the evolved form of Nacli. This Pokémon dry cures its prey by spraying salt over them. The curing process steals away the water in the prey's body." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"That is so cool!" said Clyde. "And this says she learned Salt Cure after evolving."
Clyde's Fidough was bigger, her body was mainly a dark shade of orange, her snout was bigger, her ears looked like bread rolls along with having a ring of them around her neck, and one for a tail. Clyde points his Rotom Phone at this newly evolved Pokemon.
"Dachsbun, the Dog Pokemon, and the evolved form of Fidough. The pleasant aroma that emanates from this Pokémon's body helps wheat grow, so Dachsbun has been treasured by farming villages." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"And this says she has the Well-Baked Body ability now which makes her immune to damage from fire type attacks; not only that, they increase her defense." said Clyde.
"That sounds like something that can come in handy during the battle with the Team Star Fire Crew if fire types are the kind of Pokemon they use." said Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Clyde.
"Well, let's keep looking around." said Lincoln. They all walk around for about half an hour before starting to get tired.
"Man, my feet are sore." said Lincoln as he sits down on a rock and rubs his feet.
"At least Ms. Dendra wasn't around to hear you say that." said Clyde. "She'll say that it sounds like your feet need more exercise." Lincoln shudders in response to that.
"I wish we had a Pokemon to ride on like Arven's Koraidon." said Lincoln. He looks around and sees two fast-moving Pokemon moving across a nearby field. They stop, showing that they were two green, quadrupedal, reptilian Pokemon with what looked like a tire coming out of the front of its neck, and a long black tail that had something resembling a motorcycle seat on the base of it.
"Those are Cyclizars!" said Clyde. He takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at one of them.
"Cyclizar, the Mount Pokemon. Apparently Cyclizar has been allowing people to ride on its back since ancient times. Depictions of this have been found in 10,000-year-old murals." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"Man, we need to catch them!" said Lincoln. "They could make getting around the region a lot faster!"
"What if Ms. Dendra finds out we're not getting around on foot?" asked Clyde.
"We'll do some extra walking when we're not riding on them to satisfy her." said Lincoln. "We can swap them with one of the Pokemon we have with us when we need to get somewhere in a hurry."
"And we definitely won't tell Ms. Dendra about this?" asked Clyde.
"I won't say a word if you don't." said Lincoln.
"Deal!" said Clyde. The two look over at the Cyclizars as they started heading in their direction. Lincoln takes out his Pawmot's pokeball and releases her from it, while Clyde takes out his Dachsbun's pokeball and releases her from it.
"Dachsbun, use Work Up!" said Clyde. Dachsbun becomes surrounded by a light red aura and her attack strength increases. The Cyclizar runs at Dachsbun while its tail glowed purple and swings it at her, but it had no effect. "That must've been a dragon type move; good thing those don't work on fairy type Pokemon. Okay, Dachsbun, use Play Rough!" Dachsbun leaps at Cyclizar and tackles it to the ground; she begins pawing it repeatedly across the face, dealing super effective damage. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Cyclizar; it hits Cyclizar and sucks it in. After it wiggled around a few times; it clicks. "Yes; Cyclizar is mine."
"Way to go, Clyde." said Lincoln as he and Pawmot face the other Cyclizar. The Cyclizar charges at Pawmot with incredible speed and rams her, knocking her back. "That looked like Quick Attack; okay Pawmot, use Arm Thrust!" Pawmot runs at the Cyclizar and hits it with multiple palm strikes; it responds by swinging its tail and striking her with its tail. "Now use Quick Attack!" Pawmot charges at Cyclizar with incredible speed and rams it, knocking it to the ground. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Cyclizar, hitting it and sucking it in; after it wiggled around, it clicks. "I just caught a Cyclizar also!"
"Great work, buddy." said Lincoln. Both Cyclizars pokeballs vanished and are transported to storage. They took out their Rotom Phones to learn more about their new Cyclizars. "This say my Cyclizar's a boy, he knows Tackle, Growl, Rapid Spin, Taunt, Breaking Swipe, and Quick Attack; he has the Shed Skin ability which has the chance of curing him of a status condition.
"My Cyclizar's a girl, and she has the same moves and ability as yours." said Clyde. He then uses his Rotom Phone to swap his Swablu for his Cyclizar while Lincoln does the same with his Tinkatuff. Once they do, they both release their Cyclizars from their pokeballs and climb onto them.
"Ready to ride, Clyde?" asked Lincoln.
"Let's do it!" said Clyde. The two then begin to ride across the East Province with the wind whipping in their faces as they laugh.
"This is so awesome!" said Lincoln.
"Yeah!" said Clyde. As they ride around East Province, Area One; Lincoln spots some movement in the distance.
"I wonder what that is." said Lincoln. "I can't tell from here."
"Let's check it out." said Clyde. They turned their Cyclizars in the direction where they see the Pokemon moving and head towards it; when they got close enough to get a good look, they spot a Pokemon they've seen before.
"A Teddiursa!" said Lincoln after seeing the familiar, adorable, bear cub Pokemon. "Lola wants one of those!"
"Are you gonna catch it for her?" asked Clyde.
"If I don't, she won't let me hear the end of it." said Lincoln. He takes out his Shellder's pokeball and lets her out of it, getting the Teddiursa's attention. "Okay, Shellder; use Supersonic!" Shellder releases a high-pitched soundwave from her mouth that hits the Teddiursa who starts staggering around.
"It's confused now." said Clyde. The Teddiursa runs at Shellder and manages to land a barrage of swipes at her.
"That must be Fury Swipes!" said Lincoln. "Shellder, use Water Gun!" Shellder releases a blast of water from her shell, hitting the Teddiursa; after it shakes itself dry, it tries to attack her, but confusion kicks in and it trips on its own feet, stunning itself when it hit the ground.
"Now's a good time to catch it, Lincoln!" said Clyde. Lincoln nods as he takes out an empty pokeball and tosses it at the Teddiursa, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Yes! I caught Teddiursa!" said Lincoln. As the pokeball disappears to storage, he looks up his new Pokemon's information on his Rotom Phone. "This says that my new Teddiursa's a girl, she knows Scratch, Lick, Covet, Fling, Baby-Doll Eyes, Fury Swipes, Payback, and Sweet Scent; she also has the Pickup ability that gives her a chance of picking up an item after a battle."
Lincoln then uses his Rotom Phone to call up his family; a few seconds later, his father answers the call via video chat.
"Hi, son." said Lynn Sr.
"Hi, Dad." said Lincoln. "Is Lola there?"
"Sure, son; she's right here." said Lynn Sr. He then hands his device over to Lola who looks at Lincoln.
"Hi, Linky." said Lola.
"I just caught a Teddiursa for you a minute ago." said Lincoln, making Lola's eyes widen with delight.
"Really?!" replied Lola.
"I'm gonna send it over right now." said Lincoln. He then brings up his Pokemon Storage on his Rotom Phone and sends his Teddiursa over to the Loud house. When he brings video chat back up a few seconds later, he sees Lisa coming down the stairs with a pokeball; Lola swipes it from her and tosses it, making it release the Teddiursa inside.
"EEEEEEEE! It's so adorable!" said Lola as she cuddles the Pokemon.
"That Teddiursa's a girl by the way." said Lincoln.
"That's even better!" said Lola.
"So where are you at now, Lincoln?" asked Rita.
"East Province, Area One." said Lincoln. He then shows his family his and Clyde's new Cyclizars.
"Those look so cool!" said Lana.
"And they make it faster for us to get places, too." said Lincoln.
"I wish I had one of those." said Lynn.
"Me, too!" said Lana.
"I wouldn't mind one of them myself." said Luna.
"If we manage to find more, we'll capture them for you." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, dude." said Luna.
"Just be careful while riding them." said Rita.
"I will, Mom." said Lincoln. They talk for a minute, with Lola saying 'thank you' to Lincoln over and over again for the Teddiursa, then they end the call.
"Let's keep looking around." said Clyde.
Five minutes later, they reach a small cliff that overlooked an ocean that had a tall tower on it and stop to let their Cyclizars rest up.
"Thank you for the lift." Lincoln says to his Cyclizar.
"We really appreciate it." said Clyde to his, making his and Lincoln's Cyclizars nod in response.
Lincoln and Clyde then notice that the sun was going to set soon and decide that now would be a good time to have some dinner with their Pokemon. After they set up camp, they all started to eat; as they did, they notice that Rockruff was sniffing around some grass nearby.
"Do you smell something?" asked Lincoln. All of a sudden, a Spidops leaps out of the grass and lands in front of the group.
"It's a Spidops!" said Clyde.
"What does it want?" asked Lincoln.
"Maybe we're in its territory?" suggested Clyde. Suddenly, the Spidops lunges at the boys and their Pokemon with its fangs sticking out.
"Watch out!" said Lincoln. Suddenly, Rockruff quickly runs in front of the Spidops and rams it in the chest, knocking it back.
"Nice one, Rockruff!" said Clyde.
"Well, if that Spidops wants a fight; then we'll give it one!" said Lincoln.
"Get him, buddy!" said Clyde. Rockruff and the Spidops stare each other down.
"Okay, Rockruff; let's try out your new Rock Tomb attack!" said Lincoln. Rockruff summons up some large rocks and drop them onto Spidops, making a pile of them all over it, doing super effective damage, and lowering its speed. The Spidop sticks its head out and releases a spray of string from its mouth, tying up Rockruff.
"That's String Shot!" said Clyde.
"Well, it won't slow Rockruff down enough!" said Lincoln. "Okay, now use one more Tackle!" Rockruff runs at the Spidops and rams it hard enough to make it burst out of the rock pile and onto the ground; when it gets up, it quickly scurries away.
"Way to go, Rockruff!" said Clyde.
"Great job, buddy!" said Lincoln. The Rockruff runs over to the edge of a cliff pointing towards the west, looks into the setting sun, and howls.
"Is he okay?" asked Clyde. As Rockruff continued howling, he starts to glow.
"Hey, he's evolving!" said Lincoln. Everyone watches as Rockruff started to change before their eyes; when he finished, he was bigger, his body was longer, his fur was bushier, along with being part orange and part white; and he had four long, sharp, dark gray rocks sticking out of his neck.
"That is so cool!" said Clyde. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Rockruff.
"Lycanroc Dusk Form, the Wolf Pokemon, and the evolved form of Rockruff. Normally this Pokémon doesn't even bark, but once it enters battle, it will relentlessly drive the opponent into a corner." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln. "And this says you have a lot of new moves, including Crush Claw and Accelerock; plus you have the Tough Claws ability which powers up the moves you have that require you to hit an opponent with a part of your body."
"That could come in handy." said Clyde. When the sun went down, and the stars came out, they could see the lights of a large city nearby.
"Wow!" said Lincoln. "That city looks so amazing!"
"That must be Levincia." said Clyde.
"We'll go there tomorrow." asked Lincoln. "But before that, I'll help you take on that Team Star base that's near here."
"Thanks, buddy." said Clyde. After everyone finishes eating and clean the dishes, Lincoln and Clyde return their Pokemon to their pokeballs, go into their tent, and go to sleep to rest up for their next Team Star battle tomorrow.
Meanwhile at the Loud house, everyone was in their beds, sleeping, with Lola snuggled with her new Teddiursa, and Lily with her Tandemaus.
