Hello, everyone, Northstar Pokeshipper here, ready to officially begin the story and Ash's adventures in the Hoenn region! I know the wait has been long between the prolouge of this story and this chapter, but I promise you that the wait between chapters will go down drastically from now on! Anyways, this chapter will cover the last episode of the original series and first of the Advanced Series for Ash, as well as "A Family that Battles Together Stays Together" and "Cerulean Blues" for Brock and Misty respectively. Anyways, enough talking. I think that it is time that we get this show on the road!

Subject: A new land and a new adventure

I am officially in the Hoenn region, guys. It was absolutely not smooth sailing, though. On the boat ride there, Team Rocket tried to kidnap Pikachu (as usual), made worse by the fact he was my only Pokémon… I guess the choice of bringing just Pikachu to the Hoenn region bit me before I even arrived there. I luckily got him back thanks to the help of some wild Pokémon and Officer Jenny in the town we stopped at before the boat headed off. But my misfortune didn't end there, as Pikachu ended up getting sick as we arrived at our final destination. And worse, there is no Pokémon Center in Littleroot Town. Professor Birch promised to help Pikachu get better… but instead made the problem worse. Pikachu ran away and ended up attacking me for a bit before he snapped out of it (and ironically, Team Rocket were also the ones to help him get better). He is currently resting up as I type this to you. I also met a new friend, a new trainer named May, and Pikachu may or may not have accidentally bbq'd her bike. Well, I better get some rest too, talk to you later.

Hey there, Ash, sorry for not getting to you right away. I had to get through the Viridian Forest in order to get to Pewter City, which took me about two days. When I got home, I saw that my mom came home and had made the Pewter Gym a complete disaster in my dad's eyes, to the point where he actively tried to stop me from going in. After battling my mom, he decided to make it a dual Water-Rock-type gym, which my brother Forrest didn't like at all. Thankfully, I was able to stop mom from ruining the gym and restored it to a pure Rock gym so that he can be in charge one day. I even gave him some of my Pokémon to help him out. Well, I am about to head out on a new journey, Ash. ;)

Subject: First day back

Hey, Ash, glad to see that you made it to the Hoenn region even if it was a bit of a struggle for you at first. But let me tell you, it was nothing compared to the struggle I faced when I got back to the Cerulean Gym. I don't know if it was intentional or not (if it was, I am going to kill them), but my sisters left me with a rampaging Gyarados causing trouble at the gym. The one Water-type I am afraid of, due to a traumatic experience as a child. But I had you and Brock in a vision to push through the problem, just like the old times. It came in handy when the same losers who attacked me during our last day together came and tried a hostile takeover of the gym. But they did not play fair at all, and something inside of Gyarados clicked and he helped me send them blasting off again (and secured the gym for me). Thanks to your advice, I was able to get over my fear, and get a cool new Pokémon. So thanks, Ash.
