Hello, everyone, Northstar Pokeshipper here! Last time, Ash Ketchum officially began his journey in the Hoenn region alongside May, and talked with Brock and Misty who have been dealing with problems in their gyms. Brock is officially on his journey after helping with his family issues, while Misty is ready to take on the mantle of Cerulean Gym leader after taming an angry Gyarados! Anyways, this chapter will follow the events of episode 2 of the Advanced Saga. How will it go for Ash? Well, let's find out!

Subject: Ancient Pokémon, Mysterious Team, and Registration
Hey guys, I am officially registered for the Hoenn league! After teaching May some of the basics of catching and battling with Pokémon, we arrived at the Pokémon Center so we could heal her Torchic (bad experience with a Water Gun) and so I can register for the league. And I heard that there is a gym in the next town over! Didn't get to figure out who the leader was, just that he is a new leader. (And I have a feeling May might know who he is…) Anyways, we saw a cool ancient Pokémon known as Relicanth, a Pokémon said to exist since ancient times and still swim in the seas, a Pokémon I think you two would enjoy based on your preferred types. Anyways, it is on to Petalburg City!

PS to Brock: Glad to hear your family is doing okay, Brock. But I thought your dad said your mom died?

Hey Ash, I am glad to see that you have registered for the Hoenn League. I believe you can do good with the first gym due to you being a top 8 trainer. And that Relicanth Pokémon sounds like a cool Pokémon, and you must be a lucky trainer to see such an old Pokémon for real. I would like to see one someday. Anyways, my journey is going pretty good so far. I am currently at a Pokémon Center typing this to you, and if all goes well, I will reach my destination in… let's say two days. Hey Ash. Togepi and I have looked up an image of the Pokémon you have told us about, and it looks like a really cool Pokémon. Kinda ugly though, but I don't mean it in a bad way (especially due to the fact that it is part Water-type). Anyways, today I have been doing some training with the Pokémon so they are ready for trainers when they come to the gym. Gyarados is starting to get along pretty well with the other Pokémon after his rage yesterday, and the others are starting to warm up to him as well again. Good luck in the Hoenn League, I will be rooting for you!
