Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the next chapter of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the last chapter, Ash Ketchum managed to win his first badge in the Hoenn region (and twenty-first overall). However, it was all in spite of Ash using a grass-type without a single super-effective move and Pikachu relying on a move he just mastered during the battle. Misty rightfully chewed him out for it. And now, we hear Ash's response, as well as his final email before moving on to the next city... Let's get started!

Hey Misty, we were supposed to be leaving for Dewford Island today… emphasis on supposed to, but Max ended up holding us back by not being back at the Pokémon Center by the time we were supposed to be heading for the port to take a ferry there. (You can probably tell that we didn't get on due to the fact that I am writing to you tonight.) Anyways, Max was at a place called the Devon Corp, a place that makes a lot of products used here in the Hoenn region. And we came just as things were getting exciting as we encountered someone trying to steal some goods from the company, something that Max told me later on that would be used to bring ancient Pokémon back to life. Anyways, the bad guy was a part of a group called "Team Aqua", and I was told that they are one of TWO evil teams I should keep an eye out for (the other is called "Team Magma"). Anyways, if all goes well I should be in Dewford Town in a couple of days, so I will talk to you then.

PS: I CAN win a gym battle without Pikachu, Misty. I will prove it to you once I get to Dewford Gym!

Hey Ash, I know that you might have been upset about missing the ferry, and you are on a hot streak right now, but you shouldn't rush into your next battle. Also that "Team Aqua" guy seems like he is really up to no good (Togepi is shivering in her shell as I type this up, as she can sense that these teams are scary), but what is their plan exactly? And why did they need the goods from the Devon Corp? I have so many questions regarding them right now… Anyways, good luck on your next gym battle. Especially since you don't plan on using Pikachu during it… You will need all of it you can get…

Once again, Ian left a review, and he found Misty ripping into Ash for overusing Pikachu and not using his Hoenn Pokemon (even though that was the reason he didn't bring any other Pokemon with him in the first place) funny. firestorm100 also commented about Misty's responce, hoping we will see changes from the canon soon enough. Well, you will just have to wait and see... And as for the Victreebel comments, I know that James had two seperate Victreebel, but I just said the "de-evolution" comment because I thought it was funny. Anyways, we have also got some more people who have chose to follow this series, most notably icacopo passerini, who didn't just favorite the story, but became the thirtith person to add it to his follows list.
