Hello, everyone, and welcome back to "A Long Distnace Ship"! In the last chapter, Ash and his friends were supposed to leave for Dewford Island. Key words: supposed to. But as Max broke his PokeNav and went to Devon Corp to try and fix it. But at least Ash got a good email out of it, telling Misty about the evil teams in the region. Anyways, this chapter will focus on Ash and co's trip to the island from meeting Mr. Briny to their arrival. How did it go? Well, let's find out!

Well Misty, it took a while, but I am finally on Dewford Island for my second gym battle in the Hoenn region. May ended up finding an old man named Mr. Briney who was willing to get us to the island on his boat the day after I sent my last email to you, but we didn't leave until the day after as we had another run in with the same Team Aqua member who stole the Devon Goods, who tried kidnapping Mr. Briney's beloved Wingull, Peeko. We got her back, and she is fine. The day after that fiasco, we headed off to Dewford Island on what was supposed to be a one day trip… and seeing as how I responded four days after my last email, that didn't happen. May and Max thought it would be a good idea to stop to enjoy the water for a while. Unluckily for us, they picked an area where a group of Sharpedo lived, and they attacked us! After stopping at a nearby island, we decided to have a fight with the leader of the group the following day. And after just one attack from Brock's Lotad, we learned that someone else had that same idea, as we found out that someone poisoned the Pokémon! Brock spent the whole day and night tending to the Sharpedo, to the point where I would think he would make a really good doctor someday. Anyways, we soon learned that it was Team Rocket (and Jessie's Seviper in particular) that poisoned the Sharpedo. Luckily, the rest of Sharpedo's group got vengeance on their friend by sending the TRio blasting off yet again. Anyways, after that fiasco, we finally made it to Dewford Island before saying goodbye to Mr. Briney and the Sharpedo herd. Now to start focusing on the Dewford Gym battle. I gotta prove to you that I can win gym battles without Pikachu…

Ash

PS: With all the time Brock spent with the Sharpedo, I swore he would have caught it… but this isn't the first time he helped a Pokémon whose name starts with the letter "S" back to health and released it back to its herd instead of catching it.

Hey Ash. Glad you have finally made it to Dewford Island, even if it took a while for you to get there. And guessing by the encounter with Team Aqua, I think their goal is something to do with water as the grunt stole a Water- and Flying-type. And looking at Sharpedo, it sounds like a very cool Pokémon and very good in battle. You may have a point in Brock not catching it, but he already has a Water-type Pokémon, and if he got another one, he would practically be turning into me. Anyways, I heard that Dewford Island has some wonderful beaches, so maybe you should visit one of them after your gym battle. I know I would love to visit them if I was in Hoenn with you, Ash! But alas, my stupid sisters are out of town and forcing me to look after the gym… Speaking of the gym, I had another trainer come over for a battle, and he was a face you might remember from Stone Town. He decided to head out on his journey with Eevee to prove that it didn't need to evolve to be strong. While we tied, I still saw him worthy of a Cascade Badge. So yeah, that was my day at the gym. Good luck in your gym battle, Ash!

Misty

And that just about does it for this chapter of the story. I hope you all enjoyed the preview of the second "Misty Chronicles" story that isn't in the anime (I decided the first would take place before "Cerulean Blues"). Stay tuned for it once I finish all of this story's Season 6! As usual, thank you Ian for leaving a review on the story. And while we have reached another milestone, I need to tell you all something: PathOfZero has decided to leave the story as he found that it was too boring as it was just emails between Ash and Misty. I would like to thank him for his time following the journey. Anyways, we have reached a milestone when it came to the view count on the story, as the 3,00th view was achieved on the story the same day the previous chapter was uploaded! To whoever did that, thank you! Every view, favorite, follow, and review is appreciated. If you have any ideas on how to improove the story so that more people don't fall off, please leave me a review! I will see you all next time, and Happy President's Day for my American readers! (Which is pretty much most of you as the American visitors outnumber the British visitors, the second largest nationality of those who chose to check out the story, almost ten to one.)
