Onward to the Third Signboard
After everyone gets done bugging Lincoln about the kiss he got from Carmine; Lincoln, Clyde, and Kieran decided to start heading for the next signboard.
"Why didn't Carmine want me to know about Ogerpon?" asked Kieran with a frown.
"Probably didn't want you to go running after him up Oni Mountain at night." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, running up a mountain with chasms and cliffs at night without anything to light your way sounds kind of dangerous." said Clyde.
"And don't forget that the stone bridge leading to Ogerpon's home is pretty narrow with no guardrail, and if you fell off... I'm pretty sure you'd get hurt." said Lincoln, making Kieran shudder.
"I... guess that's a good point." said Kieran. "I still wish she would've told me or let one of you do so."
"At least you know now, buddy." said Lincoln, making Kieran smile.
"So anything else happen earlier before we called besides you boys learning the truth?" asked Howard McBride.
"Chimchar and Turtwig evolved." said Clyde.
"Can we see?!" asked Lana with excitement. Lincoln and Clyde let their Monferno and Grotle out of their pokeballs for everyone back home, along with Iono and her viewers to see.
"Fascinating." said Lisa.
"What are those Pokemon called?" asked Zach.
"The monkey one is called a Monferno." said Lincoln.
"And the turtle one is called a Grotle." said Clyde.
"That's so awesome." said Zach.
"Let's get going to the next signboard." said Lincoln.
"And we should all train our Pokemon, too." said Clyde.
"Yeah, it feels like I haven't train mine, except Monferno, since we got here to Kitakami." said Lincoln.
"Good idea." said Kieran. "I want to become a strong trainer like you two."
The three start making their way through the Kitakami Wilds while looking around for new Pokemon to catch. As they travel, they spot a Ralts nearby.
"I think a Ralts would know Teleport." said Lincoln. "I'm gonna catch this one to see if it does; if so, I'll send it to Lisa."
"Splendid." said Lisa. Lincoln takes out his Charcadet's pokeball and lets him out of it.
"Okay, Charcadet, use Clear Smog!" said Lincoln, making Charcadet release a blast of smog from the holes on his mouth covering at the Ralts, hitting it, doing super effective damage.
"Try catching it now, Lincoln!" said Clyde. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Ralts, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before it clicks.
"Yes! I caught Ralts!" said Lincoln. As his newly caught Pokemon's pokeball goes to storage, he checks out its information on his Rotom Phone.
"This says the Ralts I caught is a girl, she knows Growl, Disarming Voice, Double Team, Confusion, Hypnosis, Draining Kiss, Teleport, and Psybeam; she also has the Trace ability which lets her copy her opponent's ability." said Lincoln. He then uses his Rotom Phone to send the Ralts to the Loud house for Lisa.
"I just sent Ralts over, Lisa." said Lincoln.
"Thank you, brother." said Lisa before she runs upstairs to get the newest Pokemon at the Loud house.
The boys stopped in the middle of the Kitikami Wilds to let out their Pokemon for training. When they did, Lincoln and Clyde saw that Kieran had a blue, bipedal, froglike Pokemon, and a Pokemon that looked like Applin with a long green protusion on its head and its apple was covered in syrup, making it look like a candy apple.
"What are those two?" asked Clyde, pointing at the two new Pokemon.
"I trained my Poliwag and he evolved; I got a Syrupy Apple for my Applin and he evolved after I gave it to him." said Kieran. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the newly evolved Poliwag.
"Poliwhirl, the Tadpole Pokemon, and the evolved form of Poliwag. Its two legs are well developed. Even though it can live on the ground, it prefers living in water." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Clyde points his Rotom Phone at Kieran's newly evolved Applin.
"Dipplin, the Candy Apple Pokemon, and the evolved form of Applin. Dipplin is two creatures in one Pokémon. Its evolution was triggered by a special apple grown only in one place." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"That must be the Pokemon that inspired the candy apple from the festival last night." said Lincoln with a smile.
"That Pokemon looks tasty." said Lana. "It's kind of like a candy apple with a worm in it; two treats in one."
"Congratulations, Kieran." said Lincoln. The boys then took the time to train their Pokemon.
Lincoln's Floragato learned Slash, his Pawmot learned Slam, his Charcadet learned Incinerate, his Lycanroc learned Roar, his Finizen learned Charm and Acrobatics, and his Monferno learned Feint.
Clyde's Quaxwell learned Focus Energy, his Kirlia learned Calm Mind, his Dachsbun learned Roar, his Naclstack learned Recover, his Litleo learned Echoed Voice, and his Grotle learned Mega Drain.
Kieran's Yanma learned Detect and Supersonic, his Poliwhirl learned Bubble Beam, his Furret learned Helping Hand and Follow Me, and his Dipplin that already knew Double Hit, Sweet Scent, Recycle, Astonish, Dragon Tail, Growth, Dragon Breath, Protect, and Bullet Seed; learned Syrup Bomb.
"Your Pokemon are getting stronger, Kieran." said Clyde.
"I'll bet they're stronger than Carmine's." said Lincoln.
"Don't let her hear you say that." said Kieran with a nervous look on his face.
"I'm sure she won't hurt Lincoln." said Clyde with a smirk, making Lincoln blush.
"Carmine better not even think about touching my Linky!" said Iono.
"To do that, wouldn't she need to be capable of thinking?" asked Ronnie Anne with a huff.
"What's with Ronnie Anne?" asked Clyde.
"She's probably jealous that a girl's interested in Lincoln." replied Bobby with a smirk, making Ronnie Anne blush a bit.
"Lincoln's mine!" said Iono.
"In your dreams!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Ha! I, literally, knew you liked him!" said Lori, making Ronnie Anne look away with a huff.
"We're gonna keep going." said Lincoln, hoping to stop the arguement before it got out of hand. After the boys return their Pokemon to their pokeballs, they continue on their way. As they all looked around, Lincoln notices a bipedal, dark purple Pokemon with a pear-shaped body, and horns that curved down the sides of its head.
"What's that?" asked Clyde. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon to see what it was.
"Indeedee, the Emotion Pokemon. It dislikes conflict. If a fight occurs in its territory, it uses psychic power to throw things at the combatants in an effort to drive them away." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Sounds like a peaceful Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"It sure does." said Clyde.
"I'm gonna catch this Pokemon and send it back to my family." said Lincoln. He takes out his Finizen's pokeball and lets him out of it.
"Go for it, buddy!" said Clyde.
"Finizen, use Aqua Jet!" said Lincoln. Finizen covers his body in water and rockets at the Indeedee and slams into it; it responds by firing a beam of psychic energy that hits Finizen. "Use Acrobatics!" Finizen moves through the air quickly and hits the Indeedee from multiple angles. Lincoln quickly takes out a Heal Ball and throws it at the Indeedee, hitting it, and sucking it in; the Heal Ball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Lincoln!" said Clyde. As Indeedee's Heal Ball disappears to storage, Lincoln looks up its information on his Rotom Phone.
"This says that the Indeedee I caught is a girl, she knows Stored Power, Play Nice, Encore, Disarming Voice, Psybeam, Helping Hand, and After You; she has the Own Tempo ability which keeps her from getting confused, and being affected by the Intimidate ability." said Lincoln. He then uses his Rotom Phone to send his newest Pokemon to the Loud house.
"I just sent Indeedee over to you guys." said Lincoln. "I'm letting Mom and Dad have her."
"Okay, son." said Lynn Sr as he runs up the stairs to Lisa and Lily's room. Clyde looks around and sees a white, larvalike Pokemon with yellow and orange mandibles walking around the field. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Grubbin, the Larva Pokemon. Grubbin normally live underground, but if they get unearthed by Hoothoot, they may be found gathered around electric Pokémon." said Clyde's Rotom Phone. Clyde takes out his Litleo's pokeball and throws it, releasing him.
"Okay, Litleo; use Fire Fang!" said Clyde. Litleo leaps at Grubbin while fire covered his fangs and he bites onto it, dealing massive damage to it; fire surrounds Grubbin's body. "Grubbin's burned." The Grubbin leaps at Litelo and clamps him with its mandibles; Grubbin flinches in pain from its burn and collapses. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Grubbin, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times until it clicked.
"Great job, Clyde." said Lincoln. Grubbin's pokeball gets transported to storage. Clyde uses his Rotom Phone to look up Grubbin's information.
"My Grubbin's a boy, he knows Vise Grip, Mud-Slap, String Shot, Bug Bite, and Bite; he has the Swarm ability." said Clyde. The boys returned their Pokemon to their pokeballs and continued going through the Kitakami Wilds. As they do, Lincoln sees a Tera Den.
"Hey, a Tera Den." said Lincoln. He, Clyde, and Kieran run over to it and went inside; they soon saw a purple, monkeylike Pokemon with a cream colored face and belly, as well as a hand on the end of its tail and a crystalized temple on top of its head. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Aipom, the Long Tail Pokemon. It lives atop tall trees. When leaping from branch to branch, it deftly uses its tail for balance." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"I think I'll send this Pokemon to Luna; it's purple, which is her favorite color." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, little bro; I was feeling left out; being the only one here without a Pokemon." said Luna.
"And if I remember correctly, the temple on its head means its Tera Form's a rock type." said Clyde. He, Lincoln, and Kieran each pull out a pokeball.
"Floragato, go!" said Lincoln, throwing Floragato's pokeball and releasing him.
"You too, Quaxwell!" said Clyde, throwing Quaxwell's pokeball and releasing him.
"Go, Dipplin." said Kieran, throwing Dipplin's pokeball and releasing him. "Dipplin, Bullet Seed." Dipplin pokes its head out of its apple and shoots seeds out of his mouth, hitting Aipom and dealing super effective damage.
"Quaxwell, Water Pulse!" said Clyde. Quaxwell forms a ball of blue water between his hands and launches it at Aipom, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage.
"Floragato, Seed Bomb!" said Lincoln. Floragato releases glowing seeds from his body and they hit Aipom, dealing super effective damage. Aipom's Tera Form shatters and it collapses. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Aipom, hitting it, and sucking it in. "Yes! I caught Aipom! Great job, you guys."
"Thanks, Lincoln." said Clyde.
"Y-Yeah." replied Kieran. Aipom's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. They soon found themselves back in the Kitakami Wilds where the Tera Den use to be; Lincoln saw a Big Mushroom and a few berries and picks them up. He looks up Aipom's information on his Rotom Phone.
"Okay; Aipom's a girl, she knows Scratch, Tail Whip, Sand Attack, Astonish, Baton Pass, Tickle, Fury Swipes, Swift, Screech, Agility, Double Hit, Iron Tail, and Slam, she has the Run Away ability which has her retreat from battles." said Lincoln. He uses his Rotom Phone to transport Aipom to the Loud house. "I just sent Aipom, Luna."
"Thanks, bro." said Luna before running upstairs to Lisa and Lily's room.
"Okay, guys; let's get to that signboard." said Lincoln. Clyde and Kieran nod and they continue walking to where the last signboard awaits them.
What else awaits Lincoln and the others as their Kitakami adventure continues?
