Hello everyone, and welcome back to another installment of "A Long Distnace Ship". In the last part, Ash had to make a run to the Pokemon Center in order to get treatment for his Corphish, all while not really caring for himself. While it is good that Ash cares for his Pokemon this much, Misty told him he needed to care for himself as well. Anyways, in this chapter, we will cover the events of the episodes from AG025-AG027 and some major developments from Brock. And I know that the computer that Ash uses in this chapter was totaled in the canon, but any chance for him to get to a computer and talk with Misty, I will take. Now let's get going!

Hey there, Mist, I am sorry I didn't talk to you for a while, but I am ready to give you another update. Not from the Pokémon Center, though, but from a secret base. More on that in a bit, but first, I want to tell you what happened after what happened with Corphish. We got word of May, Max, and Brock being in trouble (they fell into one of the TRio's traps near rising water), and so me and Nurse Joy went to go and save them. They are safe now, which is all that matters. Anyways, after that experience, we went along a river for some training and found a center that breeds starters for Professor Birch to give to new trainers, specifically Mudkip. It was cute seeing all of the baby Mudkip, and Brock bonded with one Mudkip in particular who wasn't one raised by Swampy (the man who bred all of these Mudkip), but liked making friends with the ones who were. The only problem was that as the Mudkip got sent off after a certain point, the Mudkip was unable to make permanent friends. So after we helped it and it helped us with Team Rocket, Swampy suggested that Brock take the Mudkip in so he could bond with us. Brock accepted. And I bet that Swampy had a good point, as the following day, Mudkip had the chance to bond with most of our Pokémon as almost all of them got separated from us during an incident involving a wild Loudred. But we found them with a group of wild Nuzleaf thanks to Taillow. You know, using my flying types to help find missing Pokémon is something that I should have done during the early days of my journey. Why didn't you or Brock suggest for me to use Pidgeotto and/or Butterfree to help find my starters on the Island of the Giant Pokémon? Anyways, today we continued our training before running into Professor Birch again. We decided to follow him and do some research in the caves. We stumbled upon a secret base in one of the caves (the same one that I am writing to you from). We later met the person who owned the base, a kid named Keanu, and he was not happy with guests around. But we ended up helping him get the real pests out of his base: the TRio (who have taken his Nincada) and the two evil teams I told you about in a prior email: Teams Magma and Aqua. The latter two heard about this place supposedly being tied to mysterious Pokémon of the land and the sea. And the place was behind the secret base, and Team Magma totaled the place to get there. Miraculously, the computer managed to stay undamaged. We learned that Team Magma and Team Aqua possessed the Blue Orb and the Red Orb, but that left me with even more questions than answers. Hopefully I can figure them out soon… Anyways, I better get going, as Keanu has to move this to the next secret base he plans to build with his Nincada's Secret Power.

Ash

PS: I have been making sure to care for myself as much as my Pokémon.

Hey there, Ash. Glad to talk to you again. Glad to hear that your Corphish is okay. And Mudkip might be the best starter in the region looking at pictures of it (And it is totally not my favoritism towards the type that led me to the opinion). But even if he got it from the advice of a breeder, does the Pokémon really fit Brock? I mean, this is his second water-type Pokémon of the region, and I might have to start calling him Mock. Nincada on the other hand… I am not the biggest fan of the Pokémon, and I wouldn't want to see what it evolves into (And that is totally not my bias against bug-types that is making me say that). But I am glad that you helped Keanu get the Pokémon back, and his base back from the evil teams (even if it was all for nothing in the end.) And you were right from what information you gave to me about Team Aqua and Magma, Ash. I got even more questions about them and their motivations, and very little answers about them. I hope you will find out more about them as you go through the Hoenn region, Ash. Anyways, I have been having another typical day at the gym, Ash. You should probably get to that rematch, or I might give away much more badges then you have earned, Ash!

Misty

PS: The reason Brock and I didn't tell you to use Pidgeotto or Butterfree to help you find Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu on the Island of the Giant Pokémon when we found them missing is because Brock told you to use your Pidgeotto to find help BEFORE we ended up on the Island of the Giant Pokémon. We thought that you would be able to keep that information in your head after a day, but apparently 10/11-year-old you couldn't.

And that is it for this chapter, folks. Since the previous upload, you all have gave me a great gift: the 4,000th view milestone. At least, YOU WOULD HAVE IF THIS SITE ACTUALLY WORKED! AS OF WRITING THIS CHAPTER, A GLITCH HAS PREVENTED ME FROM SEEING THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE VIEWED THIS STORY SINCE MONDAY! THIS SITE IS FREAKING BROKEN! *takes a deep breath* Sorry, guys. It's just very frustrating for me. Anyways, thanks again to Ian for leaving a review. This chapter was supposed to tease a new chapter of the Misty Chronicles, but I couldn't think of anything. If you have any ideas on who to put it, feel free to leave them in a review. Every one of them counts, and every follow and favorite counts as well! I will see you all next time, and have a good weekend!
