Training Toxel
After the group finished lunch at Seafood Fresco, they exited the restaurant and began walking towards the western gate; they soon left Mesagoza and found themselves in South Province Area Two.
"So, what's the plan, Lincoln?" asked Lynn Jr; Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone.
"I plan to train the Toxel I caught earlier today until she evolves." replied Lincoln. He uses his Rotom Phone to exchange his Cyclizar for his Toxel.
"I'll come with you, Lincoln." said Nemona with a blush, making Lincoln's sisters giggle.
"I guess I'll look for more Pokemon to catch while you're doing it, and train up the ones I got also." said Lynn Jr.
"Maybe you'll find some in a Tera Den or two?" suggested Lincoln.
"I want to look for more ghost Pokemon." Lucy said from behind Lynn Jr, scaring her. "But I'm also interested in dark type Pokemon."
"I want to look for more adorbs Pokemon." said Leni.
"Mind if I join you?" Arven asked Leni, blushing.
"Sure, you don't need to ask." replied Leni.
"I wanna find some Pokemon also." said Lana.
"Looks like we all got plans." said Lincoln. "We'll meet up in Cortondo in a couple hours for a break."
"I'll go with Clyde." said Penny with a blush. Lincoln lets his Toxel out of her pokeball and hands her a blue berry.
"What's that?" asked Leni.
"An Oran Berry." said Lincoln. "Pokemon can hold items and use them during battle; an Oran Berry can restore some of a Pokemon's health after eating it."
"That's handy." said Lynn Jr.
"And it'll help Toxel use one of her moves also." said Lincoln.
"Which move is that?" asked Lucy. Just then, a green, olive-shaped Pokemon with small feet, and a small yellow olive on its head surrounded by leaves; wanders in front of them.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln as he points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Smoliv, the Olive Pokemon. It protects itself from enemies by emitting oil from the fruit on its head. This oil is bitter and astringent enough to make someone flinch." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"My Rotom Phone says that Smoliv is part grass type, so Toxel should have an advantage." said Lincoln as he looks down at his poison/electric type Pokemon who looked ready for a battle; the Smoliv looks over at the group and gets into a defensive position.
"Smoliv looks ready for a battle, also." said Nemona.
"Can I catch it after you battle it?" asked Leni.
"I don't see why not." said Lincoln. Toxel waddles forward and stares at the Smoliv who does the same thing back at her.
"Show it who's boss, Toxel!" said Lynn Jr. The Smoliv starts gathering energy, making it grow in size a bit.
"That must've been Growth." said Penny.
"Toxel, use Acid!" said Lincoln. His Toxel opens her mouth and releases a spray of orange liquid from it that hits the Smoliv, dealing super effective damage; the Smoliv responds by running at Toxel and ramming into her.
"That was Tackle." said Nemona.
"I could do better than that." said Lynn.
"Toxel, use Flail!" said Lincoln. Toxel thrashes around, striking the Smoliv as she does, knocking it back a bit, but it was still standing.
"Tough little guy, aren't you?" asked Lynn. Smoliv growls before running at Toxel and ramming her again; Toxel takes the Oran Berry she had and eats it to restore her health.
"Now to use that move I mentioned." said Lincoln.
"What move is that?" asked Nemona.
"Toxel, use Belch!" said Lincoln. Toxel sucks in some air and unleashes a loud belch that releases a purple soundwave and energy blast that hits Smoliv, knocking it onto its back.
"Cool!" said Lana.
"A Pokemon can only use Belch after it eats a berry it's holding." said Lincoln.
"Leni, try catching it!" said Arven.
"Okay!" said Leni before she takes an empty pokeball off her waist and throws it at the Smoliv, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Leni!" said Arven.
"Yaay!" said Leni as she hugs Arven, making him and her blush. As Leni picks up her new Smoliv's pokeball, Lincoln looks up its information on his Rotom Phone.
"This says that your Smoliv is a girl, she knows Tackle, Sweet Scent, Absorb, and Growth; she has the Harvest ability which gives her a chance of getting back a berry she eats; the chance is guaranteed when it's really sunny out." said Lincoln.
"Okay." said Leni.
"Now that that's out of the way, let's get to work." said Lincoln.
The group all go off and do what they all planned on doing, with Nemona going with Lincoln, Arven going off with Leni, Penny going off with Clyde, and Lynn, Lucy, and Lana going off on their own.
Lincoln was in an olive field, northwest of Cortondo, training up Toxel by having her battle some fairy types found there, getting stronger with each fight.
"Keep it up, Toxel!" cheered Nemona as Toxel was staring down a pink, ball-shaped Pokemon with triangle-shaped ears, a curl of hairlike-growth coming out of its forehead, and small arms and feet. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Jigglypuff, the Balloon Pokemon, and the evolved form of Igglybuff. When its huge eyes waver, it sings a mysteriously soothing melody that lulls its enemies to sleep." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Toxel, use Acid!" said Lincoln. Toxel releases a spray of acid from its mouth that hits the Jigglypuff, knocking it onto its back. Lincoln then takes an empty pokeball out of his backpack and throws it at the Jigglypuff, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"What are you gonna do with it?" asked Nemona.
"Send it back to Royal Woods when I send the Happiny from earlier over there for Lola's pageant friends." said Lincoln before he looks up his new Pokemon's information on his Rotom Phone. "This says that Jigglypuff's a girl, she knows Disarming Voice, Copycat, Defense Curl, Sweet Kiss, Charm, Sing, Disable, Pound, Echoed Voice, and Covet; she has the Cute Charm ability which makes a Pokemon that hits her with a physical move fall in love with her."
With Leni and Arven, Leni was training up her Pokemon with Arven's help; her Eevee learned Baby-Doll Eyes, her Vulpix learned Incinerate, her Ralts learned Hypnosis and Draining Kiss, and her Smoliv learned Razor Leaf and Helping Hand.
"You're doing really well, Leni." said Arven.
"Thank you." said Leni with a kind smile, making Arven blush. "Maybe if my Pokemon are strong enough, they can, totes, help you get the rest of those Herba Mystica thingies."
"I would really appreciate that." said Arven as he holds Leni's hands out in front of him, making both teens blush.
"Then I should, totes, keep training." said Leni.
With Lana, she was in another part of South Province Area Two, training her Pokemon. Her Grimer learned Minimize, her Ekans learned Screech and Acid, her Salandit learned Sweet Scene, and her Rabsca learned Bug Bite. She began riding her Cyclizar, looking for Pokemon to capture; as she does, she sees a Tera Den.
"Whoa, a Tera Den." said Lana. She rides her Cyclizar to the Tera Den and stopped near it; she climbed off her Cyclizar and returns her to her pokeball. She entered the Tera Den; she soon found herself inside a cavern, facing a crystalized, light gray, serpentine Pokemon with a light blue nose with a pair of whiskers and a tail fin, a black zigzag line on the side of its body, and a half planet on top of it. Lana takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Barboach, the Whiskers Pokemon. Its two whiskers provide a sensitive radar. Even in muddy waters, it can detect its prey's location." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"If it doesn't mind muddy water, then this Pokemon's okay in my book." said Lana. "Judging by that half planet on it, its Tera Form is ground type." She pulls out a pokeball. "Rabsca, go!" She throws Rabsca's pokeball and releases her. "Rabsca, use Bug Bite!" Rabsca leaps at Barboach and bites it, dealing damage to it. The Barboach releases a stream of mud from its mouth and it hits Rabsca, but not dealing much damage to it, but some of the mud lands on her eyes, lowering her accuracy.
"Rabsca, try using Tackle!" said Lana. Rabsca leaps at Barboach and was able to ram into it, dealing damage. Barboach forms a ball of blue water in front of it and launches it at Rabsca, hitting her, and dealing damage.
"Use Struggle Bug!" said Lana. Rabsca releases streaks of light green energy from her orb and they hit Barboach, shattering its Tera Form. Lana takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Barboach, crystalizing along the way, hitting Barboach, and sucking it in; the pokeball shook a couple times until it clicked. "Yeah; Barboach is mine!" The Tera Den vanishes and Lana finds herself back in South Province Area Two. Lana looks up her new Barboach's information on her Rotom Phone.
"This says my Barboach is part water and part ground, it's a boy, he knows Water Gun, Mud-Slap, Rest, Snore, Water Pulse, Mud Shot, Take Down, and Spark." said Lana. "He has the Oblivious ability which helps him sense if his opponent has one of those one hit knock out moves or moves that are super effective against him." Lana sees a few Tiny Mushrooms and a few berries and picks them up. She lets her Cyclizar out of her pokeball and rides her across South Province Area Two.
In another part of South Province Area Two, Lucy was training up her Pokemon as well. Her Greavard learned Dig which Lucy thought would really make her useful in digging graves, her Phantump learned Will-O-Wisp and Hex, her Duskull and Mimikyu got stronger, and her Gastly learned Payback and Spite.
Lucy's Greavard's Pickup ability picked up a couple of Revives for her as well; as Lucy looks around, she sees a dark tunnel nearby.
"I could use a break from the sun for a bit." said Lucy. She runs into the tunnel and relaxes in the darkness. As she chills out, some movement catches her eye; she looks to see a bipedal, purple Pokemon with gems for eyes, and a hexagon-shaped red crystal on its chest.
"What is that?" asked Lucy as she points her Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Sableye, the Darkness Pokemon. It dwells in the darkness of caves. It uses its sharp claws to dig up gems to nourish itself." said Lucy's Rotom Phone.
"This says your part dark type and part ghost type." said Lucy before a faint smile appears on her face. "That makes me want you even more." She takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Mimikyu. The Sableye notices the two and gets ready for a battle; it suddenly runs at Mimikyu and claps its hands in his face, with no effect.
"That must've been a normal type move." said Lucy. "Good thing it won't work on a Pokemon that's part ghost type. Mimikyu, use Shadow Sneak." A dark shadow extends from beneath Mimikyu and goes behind Sableye; it rises up, and a shadowy arm strikes Sableye from behind. Sableye responds by extending its shadow behind Mimikyu and has it hit him from behind, dealing super effective damage, but not a lot thanks to his Disguise ability; his costume's head sags to one side.
"Mimikyu, use Wood Hammer." said Lucy. Mimikyu's branch tail grows and forms into a mallet; he swings it down onto the Sableye, dealing damage to it, and himself because of the recoil damage. Lucy quickly takes an empty pokeball out of her backpack and tosses it at the Sableye, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Wicked. I caught Sableye." said Lucy. She looks up her new Pokemon's information on her Rotom Phone. "This says that you're a girl, you know Scratch, Leer, Astonish, Shadow Sneak, Fake Out, and Disable; you have the Keen Eye ability which makes it so you can't get your accuracy lowered."
As she looks around, she sees a light source; she walks over and sees a stake with an orb attached to it by a chain, covered in a strange aura.
"What is this?" asked Lucy. "I feel much power coming from it." Out of curiosity, she touches it, only for it to suddenly crumble into dust; she looks around quickly before exiting the tunnel with her Mimikyu following after her.
With Lynn, she trained her Pokemon; her Crabrawler learned Bubble Beam and Protect, her Heracross got stronger, her Zangoose learned Power Trip, and her Voltorb learned Electro Ball.
"I like fighting type Pokemon, but there are some Pokemon types that are strong against them, like flying, psychic, and fairy types." said Lynn. "Voltorb can handle flying types, but I need Pokemon that can handle psychic and fairy types." She looks around the area she was in and saw a Tera Den.
"Hey, a Tera Den; wonder what's in it." said Lynn. She returns her Pokemon to their pokeball and walks into the Tera Den. She soon found herself in a cavern with a crystalized, bipedal, red and black Pokemon with blades around its torso, on each end of its arms, and in the front of its head, and an axe on top of its head. Lynn takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Pawniard, the Sharp Blade Pokemon. Pawniard will fearlessly challenge even powerful foes. In a pinch, it will cling to opponents and pierce them with the blades all over its body." said Lynn's Rotom Phone.
"Sounds like a gutsy Pokemon." said Lynn as she pulls out a pokeball. "I'll catch this one; Heracross, you're up!" She throws Heracross' pokeball and releases him. "Okay, Heracross, use Leer attack!" Heracross glares at Pawniard and his eyes glowed red; Pawniard slumps and begins surging with energy. "Okay, what's going on with Pawniard?" Pawniard leaps at Heracross and slashes him with one of its arm blades, damaging him; Pawniard begins surging with more energy.
"Something tells me I better end this battle quick; Heracross, Arm Thrust!" said Lynn. Heracross flies at Pawniard and repeatedly strikes it with his arms, dealing super effective damage. Pawniard leaps at Heracross and rams him, damging him.
"Heracross, Arm Thurst one more time!" said Lynn. Heracross repeatedly strikes Pawniard with his arms, dealing super effective damage and shattering its Tera Form; Pawniard collapses onto the cave floor. Lynn takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Pawniard, crystalizing on the way, and it hits Pawniard; it gets sucked into the pokeball and it shook for a few seconds until it clicked. "Sweet; Pawniard's mine." She soon found herself back in South Province Area Two; she takes out her Rotom Phone and looks up Pawniard's information.
"This says Pawniard's part steel, part dark, its a girl, she knows Scratch, Leer, Fury Cutter, Metal Claw, Torment, Scary Face, and Assurance; she has the Defiant ability which raises her attack strength when another stat is lowered; that explained why she got stronger when Heracross used Leer on her; nice." said Lynn. She sees several berries and pearls and picks them up.
Meanwhile, with Clyde and Penny; Clyde was training up his Pokemon as well, with them only getting a little stronger.
"The Pokemon around here aren't very tough." said Clyde.
"Maybe you should move onto another area with stronger ones?" suggested Penny.
"I suppose that would be best." said Clyde. "I want to get my Pokemon stronger so I can help you and Cassiopeia take down the remaining Team Star bases."
"I hope you do." said Penny as she looks away with a small smile and blush.
Back with Lincoln and Nemona, Lincoln's Toxel was staring down an Eevee she was battling that was tired out.
"Catch it, Lincoln!" said Nemona. Lincoln quickly takes an empty pokeball from his pocket and throws it at the Eevee, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Yes! I caught an Eevee!" said Lincoln. As his newly captured Pokemon teleports to storage, he looks it up on his Rotom Phone. "This says my new Eevee's a girl, she knows Tackle, Tail Whip, Growl, Helping Hand, Covet, Sand Attack, and Quick Attack; she has the Run Away ability which lets her escape any battle, except one involving other trainers."
"That was great!" said Nemona as she hugs Lincoln while nuzzling his cheek, making him blush.
"Let's go meet up with the others." said Lincoln.
"Off to Cortondo!" said Nemona as she grabs Lincoln's hand and pulls him along towards the group's meeting place.
Later in Cortondo, the group was in one of the treetop patios, going over what they all did today while Lana was devouring a plate full of cupcakes she got from the Patisserie Soapberry.
"Man, you were right, Lincoln; these cupcakes are better than Dad's." said Lana. "Don't tell him I said that." Lincoln eats four cupcakes himself before a loud whistle goes off into his ear.
"What the..." said Lincoln as he looks around to see Lynn with a sports whistle in her mouth.
"You had quite a few cupcakes, Lincoln." said Lynn. "I think ten laps around Cortondo will help burn those calories off."
"Oh, come on!" said Lincoln.
"You can either deal with me now, or me AND Ms. Dendra when we get back to Mesagoza." said Lynn with a feral grin, making Lincoln quickly get up out of his seat and starts doing the run with Lynn following after him, blowing the whistle every five seconds.
"Will Linky be okay?" asked Leni.
"Lynn won't do anything that'll hurt him... hopefully." said Lucy.
After Lincoln's run, the group head back to Naranja Academy and call it a day.
"See you all in the morning." said Lincoln as he drags himself to his room.
"I'll... uh... see you tomorrow, Leni." Arven says to Leni with a blush who does the same in return.
"Good night, Arven." said Leni. The Loud siblings and Clyde go into their rooms, shower (except for Lana), and go to bed.
Meanwhile, in a remote area, Coral and Sidian just got off a video chat with an unseen figure known to them as Gibeon.
"Oh, why do we have to go to some school?" asked Coral.
"We have to learn about Terastallization for Master Gibeon." said Sidian.
"Yeah, yeah." said Coral. 'But where have I seen the school uniforms that Gibeon showed me before?'
"What is it?" Sidian as he notices that Coral was deep in thought about something.
"Nothing!" said Coral.
"Let's just go to Mesagoza and find a hotel for the night." said Sidian.
"Whatever." said Coral.
Looks like Coral and Sidian are going to Mesagoza and Naranja Academy. What will this mean for Lincoln's group? Wait and find out.
