Team Star Navi Squad
At a Pokemon Center, the group gave the nurse their Pokemon to be treated. Lucy took the time to sell her Rare Bone for 5,000 pokedollars at a PokeMart. She looks at a shelf in the store and saw black pokeballs with green circles on them.
"Excuse me; what are those pokeballs?" Lucy asked the clerk, pointing at the pokeballs.
"Those are Dusk Balls; they have a better chance of capturing Pokemon in dark places or at night." replied the clerk.
"I'll take two." said Lucy. She gives the nurse 2,000 pokedollars and receives two Dusk Balls. Minutes later, everyone got their Pokemon back after getting them treated; they headed towards the location of the next Team Star base.
"You think we're ready to take on Team Star?" asked Lana.
"I hope so; I didn't train my Pokemon just so they can get their butts kicked." said Lynn Jr.
"I don't think your Voltorb has a butt." said Lana.
"My Linky has a cute butt." said Iono, making Lincoln's face turn red, making his sisters giggle, and Nemona frown.
"Come on, everyone; we got a base to take down." said Lincoln. Everyone else nods in response and begin walking northeast of East Province Area Three.
Back in Royal Woods in the Royal Woods Mall, Jackie, Mandee, and a couple of Leni's other friends were in the food court, having some frozen yogurt.
"I wonder how Leni's doing in that Paldea region place?" asked Mandee.
"I hope she's okay." said Jackie. "We just made up after what happened involving her little brother."
"Do you think she found any cute Pokemon?" asked Mandee.
"I hope she sends us some." said Jackie. Just then, they hear footsteps approaching, making them look to see Lynn Sr walking over to them.
"Hi, Jackie and Mandee." said Lynn Sr.
"Hi, Mr. Loud." said Jackie.
"Have you heard from Leni?" asked Mandee.
"She's doing fine, and she just sent a Pokemon for you girls." said Lynn Sr as he pulls a pokeball out of his pocket and gives it to Leni's friends.
"EEEEEEE!" the girls squealed as Jackie grabs the pokeball from Lynn Sr's hand, enlarges it, and tosses it to releases Lilligant.
"She's so beautiful!" said Mandee.
"And that smell from her head flower is so nice." said one of Leni's other friends as she sniffs the air around Lilligant's head; other people at the food court see the Pokemon and come over to see her for themselves.
"She's called a Lilligant." said Lynn Sr.
"That smell would be a great perfume." said a woman nearby. A woman with red hair, wearing glasses, orange tie-knot shirt under a blue jacket with matching long skirt, white high-heeled shoes, standing near a store called Reininger's, was watching Lilligant with interest; she walks over to Leni's friends, getting their attention.
"Pardon me." said the woman.
"Can we help you?" asked Jackie.
"I'm Ms. Carmichael; the manager of Reininger's." said the woman now known as Ms. Carmichael.
"I love that store!" said Jackie.
"They have the cutest outfits!" said Mandee.
"Why, thank you." said Ms. Carmichael. "I am interested in this Pokemon of yours."
"You mean Lilligant?" asked Jackie.
"If that's what it's called." said Ms. Carmichael. "She looks so fashionable, and I was wondering if you would allow me to have her model off some outfits for me; there's gift cards in it for you."
"Deal!" said Jackie and Mandee. Ms. Carmichael notices the aroma around Lilligant's head flower.
"And perhaps we can use her lovely fragrance in a new line of perfumes as well." said Ms. Carmichael.
"That sounds okay." said Mandee.
At the McBride residence, Howard and Harold McBride were watching television.
"How do you think Clyde is doing in Paldea, Hare Bare?" asked Howard McBride.
"I'm sure he's doing fine, Howie." replied Harold McBride. "He has his friends and Pokemon with him." They hear their doorbell ring; they walk to the front door and open it, revealing Rita Loud.
"Hello, Rita." said Howard.
"Hello, you two." said Rita. She reached into her pocket and pulls out a Heal Ball. "Your son sent you both a Pokemon." She gives Harold the Heal Ball; he enlarges it and tosses it, releasing Meowth.
"Oh, it looks so precious." said Harold, making Meowth purr.
"This is a Meowth, she's a girl." said Rita. She tells Harold and Howard Meowth's attacks and ability.
"Thank you, Rita." said Howard. Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti, who came to the living room and sees Meowth; they run to her and they sniff each other. They smile and playfully chase each other around the living room.
"AAAAAAWWWW!" Rita, Harold, and Howard say in unison.
Moments later, back in Paldea with Lincoln's group, they soon entered a forested area.
"This is it; Tagtree Thicket." said Clyde. Lana notices colorful markings on several trees.
"What's that stuff on the trees?" asked Lana, getting Penny's attention.
"Those are a Grafaiai's territory markings." said Penny.
"What's a Grafaiai?" asked Leni.
"There's one over there." said Arven as he points towards a lemurlike Pokemon with mostly black fur, a dark bluish-gray lower body, four tufts of blonde fur over its big blue eyes, and a blue substance on one of its fingers. Lana points her Rotom Phone at the Pokemon to learn more about it.
"Grafaiai, the Toxic Monkey Pokemon, and the evolved form of Shroodle. The color of the poisonous saliva depends on what the Pokémon eats. Grafaiai covers its fingers in its saliva and draws patterns on trees in forests." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"So that stuff on the trees is its spit?" asked Lana with amazement.
"It is." said Arven.
"COOL!" said Lana.
"Yeah, yeah; come on, that Team Star base isn't going to take itself down." said Lynn Jr.
"Lynn's right; we have more important matters to attend to." said Penny.
"Well, let's get going." said Clyde. When everyone wasn't looking, Penny pushes a small button on a watch she had under her sleeve; seconds later, a beep was heard from Penny's Rotom Phone, making her look at it.
"I just got a message from Cassiopeia." said Penny.
"What does he or she want?" asked Clyde.
"I have to go see her about a matter involving our mission." said Penny. "Will you all be okay without me for a while?"
"I think we can do this." said Clyde. "Lincoln and I took down the last two by ourselves, and our numbers have increased since then."
"Yeah; we can easily take them down." said Lynn.
"Be careful; all of you." said Penny before she takes a long look at Clyde before running off.
The rest of the group follows the map that Cassiopeia gave them until they see the walls of the Team Star base.
"That's the place." said Lincoln.
"Doesn't look like much." said Lynn.
"Well, we still have to take it down." said Clyde. As the group got closer, they notice a male Team Star member talking to a small boy with dark skin, black hair, and wearing a Naranja Academy uniform.
"What's that student doing here?" asked Nemona.
"Maybe he's a recruit of Cassiopeia's?" guessed Lucy.
"Or someone who wants to join Team Star." said Lynn.
"Let's go see." said Clyde. The group continues towards the base until they can hear the two people talking.
"I don't care!" said the boy. "I'm not leaving till you let me talk to Don Atticus!"
"Gimme a break, you little doofus!" said the Team Star member.
"Who's Don Atticus?" asked Leni.
"Maybe the boss of this Team Star squad." said Arven.
"The kid might need some help." said Lynn.
"Let's go then." said Clyde. The group approaches the two people at the gate, getting their attention.
"Huh?" said the Team Star member when he sees Lincoln's group. "Oh, great; more randos to ruin my day."
"We're here to ruin more than just your day." said Lincoln, making the Team Star member look at him; a look of shock appears on his face.
"Wait a minute!" said the Team Star member. "Aren't you that Lincoln Loud kid?!"
"You know about me?" asked Lincoln.
"A lot of us watched that Iono livestream series about you and your friend's adventures in that Kitakami place!"
"So some of you are my subscribers?" asked Iono, getting the Team Star member's attention.
"IONO?!" said the Team Star member with shock in his voice.
"That's me." said Iono.
"Oh, geez!" said Team Star member. "I really got to warn the boss about all of you!" The boy the Team Star member was talking to was gawking at Lincoln, Clyde, and Iono before he shakes his head to bring himself back to his senses.
"Leave them to me, Mr. Grunt!" said the boy. "I'll buy some time for you to go wake up the others!"
"Yeah?" replied the Team Star member. "And what's in it for you?"
"Don Atticus will be in danger if no one's here to defend the base!" said the boy. "I owe that man my life. He's my dear compadre! And when crisis calls, one has no choice but to rally to those dear to him; no matter the cost!"
"Yeah, I have no idea what you're on about, kid; but thanks for the big assist!" said the Team Star grunt before he runs into the base. The boy turned towards the group.
"All right, you villains; if you're after Don Atticus, be prepared to face my wrath!" said the boy.
"I'll take you on!" said Lana, stepping in front of the boy.
"You're a girl; this shouldn't take long." said the boy, pulling out a pokeball.
"Oh, is that right?!" asked Lana, pulling out a pokeball. "How many Pokemon are we using?"
"I only have two Pokemon on me, so, we'll use two." said the boy. "By the way, my name's Youseff; Gulpin, go!" The boy, now identified as Youseff, throws a pokeball and releasing a Gulpin.
"Go, Whiscash!" said Lana, throwing Whiscash's pokeball and releasing him. "Whiscash, use Mud-Slap!" Whiscash fires a stream of mud out of his mouth and it hits Gulpin, dealing super effective damage, and lowering Gulpin's accuracy.
"Gulpin, use Sludge!" said Youseff. Gulpin fires a ball of purple sludge from its mouth and it hits Whiscash, but not dealing much damage to him.
"Whiscash, Water Pulse!" said Lana. Whiscash forms a ball of blue water in front of his mouth and launches it at Gulpin, hitting it, and dealing damage; Gulpin begins stumbling around.
"Gulpin's confused." said Clyde.
"Gulpin, try using Pound!" said Youseff. Unfortunately, confusion gets the better of Gulpin, and it hits itself, damaging itself.
"Whiscash, Water Gun!" said Lana. Whiscash fires a stream of water from his mouth and it hits Gulpin, knocking it out. "Way to go, Whiscash!"
"Yeah; show that kid what girls can do!" said Lynn. Youseff returns Gulpin to its pokeball; he puts it away and pulls out another one.
"I will help Don Atticus; Shroodle, go!" said Youseff, throwing a pokeball and releasing a Shroodle. "Shroodle, use Leer!" Shroodle glares at Whiscash while its eyes glowed blue and weakens Whiscash's defense.
"Whiscash, Aqua Tail!" said Lana. Whiscash leaps at Shroodle while water spiraled around his tail and he hits Shroodle with it, damaging it.
"Shroodle, use Slash!" said Youseff. Shroodle leaps at Whiscash while glowing white claws extend from its paw and it slashes Whischas with them, damaging him.
"Whiscash, Mud-Slap!" said Lana. Whiscash fires a stream of mud from his mouth and it hits Shroodle, dealing super effective damage, and lowering its accuracy.
"Shroodle, use Bite!" said Youseff. Shroodle leaps at Whiscash and tries to bite him, but missed due to its accuracy being lowered.
"Whiscash, Water Pulse!" said Lana. Whiscash forms a ball of blue water in front of his mouth and launches it at Shroodle; it hits Shroodle and knocks it out.
"No!" shouts Youseff.
"Way to go, Lana!" said Leni.
"Still think girls are easy to beat?" asked Lucy from behind Youseff, scaring him; Youseff returns Shroodle to its pokeball and gives Lana pokedollars.
"Don Atticus... I'm sorry I failed you." said Youseff. Just then, Clyde's Rotom Phone flies out of his pocket and floats in front of him.
"Cassiopeia?" Clyde asked.
"Yes, it's me." said Cassiopeia. "Nice work dealing with the guard, Lana."
"Thanks." Lana replied.
"Within the base is Team Star's Poison Crew... the Navi Squad." said Cassiopeia. "Their boss, Atticus, designs outfits for the team; you could say he has clever hands."
"A clothing designer?" asked Leni.
"Yes." said Cassiopeia. "The guy's also... a bit of an can never tell what he's going to do next."
"I'm sure we can handle him." said Lynn.
"Since it's beyond us to predict how he'll respond to our declaration of war, just take out as many of the squad's Pokemon until Atticus shows his face." said Cassiopeia.
"Finally, time for action!" said Lynn.
"Ring the bell on the gates once your ready to kick off this phase of the operation." said Cassiopeia. "Time to wipe the Navi Squad off the map!"
"Yeah!" cheered the group.
"And Clyde... be careful." said Cassiopeia before the call ends and Clyde's Rotom Phone flies back into his pocket.
"Who's coming in with me?" asked Clyde.
"You know I got your back, buddy." said Lincoln.
"I don't back down from a rumble." said Lynn.
"I'm going in also." said Lana.
"Me, too." said Lucy from behind Lana, scaring her.
"I don't have a lot of Pokemon that can help, so I'll just wait out here." said Leni.
"I'll stay and keep her company." said Arven with a blush, making Leni do so as well.
"I'll come with Linky!" said Iono as she holds one of Lincoln's arms.
"Me, too." said Nemona as she grabs Lincoln's other arm.
"Okay, let's go!" said Clyde as he rings the bell; the gates open, and the group all enter the base.
"Seems the folks behind Operation Star-FOOL are finally making a move against our base!" a voice from a PA system says.
"Sounds like they know we're here." said Lynn.
"You know what this means, gang!" the voice says. "Time for us to shine bright and avenge our teammates!" Suddenly, a whole bunch of Team Star members come out of some nearby tents with pokeballs in their hands and start running towards the group.
"There they are!" a male Team Star member says.
"Hey, isn't that Iono?!" another male Team Star member says.
"It's that cute Lincoln boy, also." a female Team Star member says.
"I kind of think Clyde's a cutie myself." another female Team Star member says.
"Focus on getting rid of them!" said another Team Star member.
"Let's do this!" said Lincoln as he throws three pokeballs, releasing his Okidogi, Tinkaton, and Lycanroc.
"On it!" said Clyde as he releases his Gallade, Torterra, and Munkidori.
"Don't think you're doing this without me!" said Lynn as she lets out her Zangoose, Voltorb, and Pawniard.
Lana tosses three pokeballs, letting out her Whiscash, Rascba, and Varoom.
Lucy does so, letting out her Gothita, Greavard, and Sableye.
Iono lets out her Magnezone, Mismagius, and Luxio.
Nemona lets out her Dudunsparce, an Orthworm, and a Lycanroc that was a grayish brown instead of orange.
"What's with your Lycanroc?" asked Lynn.
"I have a Midday Form Lycanroc." said Nemona. "There are three different kinds of Lycanrocs; a Midday Form like mine, a Midnight Form, and a Dusk Form like Lincoln does."
"Looks like you and Lincoln have another thing in common." said Lucy.
"We sure do." said Nemona as she wraps her arms around Lincoln in a hug while Iono glares at her with her teeth clenched before she hugs Lincoln herself.
"Focus, everyone!" said Clyde as he points at the Team Star members who were letting out a large variety of poison type Pokemon, such as Grimers, Paldean Woopers, Shroodles, Grafaiais, and some blackish-purple skunklike Pokemon; out of interest, Lana points her Rotom Phone at one of the skunk Pokemon.
"Stunky, the Skunk Pokemon. It sprays a foul fluid from its rear. Its stench spreads over a mile radius, driving Pokémon away." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"I am so going to try finding and catching one for myself." said Lana.
"Let's get them!" said Clyde as he and the others charged towards their opponents.
"Okidogi, use Bite! Tinkaton, use Slam! Lycanroc, use Dig!" said Lincoln. His Pokemon nod before they started to battle.
"Gallade, use Psybeam! Torterra, use Earthquake! Munkidori, use Psybeam also!" said Clyde.
"Zangoose, use Slash! Voltorb, use Electro Ball! Pawniard, use Metal Claw!" said Lynn.
"Whiscash, use Mud-Slap! Rabsca, use Psybeam! Varoom, use Headbutt!" said Lana.
"The Rotom Phone says that Stunkies are part dark, so psychic type attacks won't work on them." said Clyde.
"Gotcha." said Lana.
"Gothita, use Psyshock. Greavard, use Dig. Sableye, use Night Shade." said Lucy.
"Dudunsparce, use Drill Run! Orthworm, use Bulldoze! Lycanroc, use Rock Tomb!" said Nemona.
"Mismagius, use Mystical Fire! Magnezone, use Spark! Luxio, use Thunder Shock!" said Iono.
The group's Pokemon unleashed an all-out assault against Team Star's Pokemon, and thanks to their training, they were taking them out left and right. After several minutes of this, the Team Star members were realizing they were outmatched.
"This is bad!" said a Team Star member.
"We're no match for them!" said another Team Star member.
"We need the boss for these guys!" said another Team Star member.
"Bring him on!" said Lynn. Two Team Star members go over to the largest tent in the base and pull the flaps open, revealing a Starmobile; on top of it was a teenager wearing a ninja outfit that was a mismatch of purple, green, and black.
Leni, who was watching everything on her Rotom Phone, looks at Atticus' outfit with disgust.
"Ick! That outfit and color scheme, are a 'no'!" said Leni.
Back in the Team Star base, the teen on the Starmobile looks down on the group.
"Pray forgive my sudden entry; 'tis I, Atticus." said the teenager, now identified as Atticus. He looks towards the group. "Are you the ones who took down Giacomo and Mela?"
"I did." said Clyde, stepping forward.
"You have some nerve baring your fangs at Team Star." said Atticus.
"Well, my friends and I can't stand by while you're causing trouble at Naranja Academy." said Clyde.
"Come then, villainous wretch!" said Atticus. "A plunge into grim poison shall be your well-deserved fate."
"Get him, Clyde." said Lincoln. Clyde nods before stepping towards Atticus.
"En garde!" shouts Atticus, pulling out a pokeball. "Skuntank, go!" He throws a pokeball and releases what appeared to be a larger Stunky. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Skuntank, the Skunk Pokemon, and the evolved form of Stunky. It attacks by spraying a horribly smelly fluid from the tip of its tail. Attacks from above confound it." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Clyde pulls out a pokeball.
"Gallade, go!" said Clyde, throwing Gallade's pokeball and releasing him.
"Skuntank, Sucker Punch!" said Atticus. Skuntank pounces at Gallade and hits him with its paw, damaging Gallade.
"Gallade, use Slash!" said Clyde. Gallade leaps at Skuntank while one of his elbow blades glowed white and he slashes Skuntank, damaging it. "Good think Gallade's Sharpness ability made Slash stronger."
"Skuntank, Toxic!" said Atticus. Skuntank releases a stream of purple liquid from its mouth and it hits Gallade; it turned purple under Gallade's eyes.
"Gallade's poisoned!" said Lincoln.
"Gallade, Disarming Voice!" said Clyde. Gallade releases a beam of pink soundwaves from his mouth and it hits Skuntank, damaging it; Gallade coughs from his poisoning and loses energy.
"Skuntank, use Venoshock!" said Atticus. Skuntank fires a glob of purple liquid from its mouth and it hits Gallade, dealing damage to him. "Venoshock deals more damage to poisoned opponents."
"Gallade, use Draining Kiss!" said Clyde. Gallade jumps at Skuntank and kisses it on the head, draining some of its energy, and healing some of Gallade's wounds; he coughs from his poisoning and loses energy.
"Skuntank, Flamethrower!" said Atticus. Skuntank releases a stream of fire from its mouth at Gallade.
"Gallade, Double Team!" said Clyde. Gallade creates several copies of himself; the stream of fire hits one of the Gallades, but it was only a copy. "Now use Slash!" The real Gallade leaps at Skuntank and slashes it with one of his forearm blades, knocking it out.
"Way to go, Clyde!" said Nemona.
"You're doing great!" said Lana. Atticus returns Skuntank to its pokeball.
"You did well." said Atticus. He puts Skuntank's pokeball away and pulls out another. "Go, Muk!" He throws a pokeball and releases what appeared to be a larger Grimer. Lana points her Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Muk, the Sludge Pokemon, and the evolved form of Grimer. It's thickly covered with a filthy, vile sludge. It is so toxic, even its footprints contain poison." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"Cool! I am going to spend more time training my Grimer!" said Lana.
"Gallade, use Psybeam!" said Clyde. Gallade fires a beam of multicolored energy from his arms and it hits Muk, dealing super effective damage.
"Muk, Sludge Wave!" said Atticus. Muk releases a wave of purple sludge from its mouth and it hits Gallade, damaging him; Gallade coughs from his poisoning and loses energy.
"Gallade, use Confusion!" said Clyde. Gallade's eyes glowed purple and releases a purple shockwave that hits Muk, dealing super effective damage.
"Muk, use Mud-Slap!" said Atticus. Muk fires a stream of mud out of its mouth at Gallade, hitting it, and dealing damage; Gallade coughs from his poisoning and collapses.
"Gallade!" said Clyde.
"Don't give up, Clyde!" said Lincoln.
"Don't let this chump beat you!" said Lynn. Clyde nods before returning Gallade to his pokeball.
"You did great out there, Gallade." said Clyde. He puts Gallade's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Okay, time for you to do some real good; Munkidori, go!" He throws Munkidori's pokeball and releases him.
"Isn't that one of the Loser Three I heard about?" asked Atticus.
"Yeah, but I'm giving him a chance to become a better Pokemon." said Clyde. "Munkidori, use Fake Out!" Munkidori claps his hands, releasing a shockwave that hits Muk, damaging it, and making it flinch. "Now use Psybeam!" Munkidori holds out his hands and fires a beam of multicolored energy from them and it hits Muk, dealing super effective damage.
"Muk, use Mud Shot!" said Atticus. Muk fires a ball of mud from its mouth and it hits Munkidori, dealing super effective damage, and lowering his speed.
"Munkidori, use Confusion!" said Clyde. Munkidori's eyes glowed purple and releases a purple shockwave that hits Muk, dealing super effective damage; it begins stumbling around.
"Muk's confused." said Lucy.
"Muk, Sludge Bomb!" said Atticus. Confusion gets the better of Muk and it knocks itself out.
"Great job, Clyde!" said Nemona.
"Keep it up!" said Lincoln. Atticus returns Muk to its pokeball.
"You have done all you can." said Atticus; he puts Muk's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Revaroom, go!" He throws a pokeball and releases a Revaroom. "Revaroom, Iron Head!" Revaroom charges at Munkidori and rams him, knocking him back.
"Munkidori, use Psybeam!" said Clyde. Munkidori fires a multicolored beam of energy from his hands and it hits Revaroom, dealing damage.
"Revaroom, use Assurance!" said Atticus. Revaroom charges at Munkidori while dark energy surrounded its body and rams Munkidori, dealing super effective damage.
"Munkidori, Confusion!" said Clyde. Munkidori's eyes glowed purple and he releases a purple shockwave that hits Revaroom, dealing super effective damage.
"Revaroom, Bulldoze!" said Atticus. Revaroom jumps onto the ground and releases shockwaves that hits Munkidori, dealing super effective to Munkidori.
"Munkidori, Psybeam!" said Clyde. Munkidori fires another beam of multicolored energy from his hands and it hits Revaroom, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"You're doing great, Clyde!" said Iono.
"Take that chump down!" said Lynn. Atticus returns Revaroom to its pokeball.
"You did all you could." said Atticus. He puts Revaroom's pokeball away. "You beat one Revaroom; let's see you beat the one on my Starmobile!" The Revaroom on the Starmobile begins rumbling. "Revaroom, Spin Out!" Revaroom spins towards Munkidori and rams him, knocking him out.
"Keep on battling, Clyde!" said Lana.
"It's not over as long as you have Pokemon willing to battle!" said Lincoln. Clyde nods before returning Munkidori to his pokeball.
"You were incredible, Munkidori." said Clyde. He puts Munkidori's pokeball away and pulls out another. "Go, Pyroar!" He throws Pyroar's pokeball and releases him. "Pyroar, use Work Up!" Pyroar becomes surrounded by a light red aura and his attack and special attack strength increases.
"Revaroom, Noxious Torque!" said Atticus. Revaroom charges at Pyroar while purple fumes surrounded its body and rams Pyroar, knocking him back.
"Pyroar, use Fire Fang!" said Clyde. Pyroar pounces at Revaroom while fire surrounded his fangs and he bites Revaroom, dealing super effective damage.
"Revaroom, use Smog!" said Atticus. Revaroom releases a thick black smoke from its mouth and it hits Pyroar, damaging him; it turned purple under Pyroar's eyes.
"Pyroar's poisoned." said Lucy. Pyroar coughs from his poisoning and loses energy.
"Pyroar, use Flamethrower!" said Clyde. Pyroar releases a stream of fire from his mouth and it hits Revaroom, dealing super effective damage; fire surrounds Revaroom's body.
"Revaroom's burned." said Lana.
"Revaroom, Noxious Torque!" said Atticus. Revaroom charges at Pyroar and rams him, knocking him back. Pyroar coughs from his poisoning and loses energy while Revaroom flinches in pain from its burn.
"Pyroar, Fire Fang!" said Clyde. Pyroar leaps at Revaroom while fire surrounded his fangs and bites Revaroom, dealing super effective damage.
"Revaroom, use Sludge!" said Atticus. Revaroom fires dark brown sludge from its mouth and it hits Pyroar, dealing damage. Pyroar coughs from his poisoning and loses more energy while Revaroom receives damage from his burn and passes out. "No!"
"All right, Clyde!" said Lincoln.
"That was awesome!" said Lana.
"Forgive me, my friends!" shouts Atticus; he then looks back to over a year ago when Team Star was starting out and he made all of the leaders' costumes, and how they were all bullied.
"Are you okay?" asked Lincoln.
"Just memories coming back." said Atticus. "For the sake of my team, I would give my very heart and soul... but I cannot defy the rules. Our code must be obeyed; and so, this badge is mine to keep no more. I entrust it to thy care." He then hands Clyde a badge with an emblem that looked like a purple bubbling puddle.
"Thanks, Atticus." said Clyde before he and Atticus took a photo together.
"It was a brilliant battle we had, Clyde." said Atticus.
Just then, Youseff comes running over to them, getting their attention.
"Don Atticus!" said Youseff.
"M-my compadre?!" Atticus replied.
"Don Atticus; please, hear what I have to say!" said Youseff. "I only need a moment!"
"What is it you need?" asked Atticus.
"I came to help you!" said Youseff. "If you don't start going to class again, you'll be expelled from the academy, right?!"
"Expelled?!" Clyde said.
"When the other kids at school and I were getting bullied real bad, you and the rest of Team Star saved us!" said Youseff.
"So Team Star just takes on bullies?" asked Lincoln.
"That doesn't sound that bad." said Lynn.
"Thanks to that operation you carried out back then, we were all able to go to school again!" said Youseff. "If you got expelled for being the good guys, that'd be the worst thing ever!"
"It really doesn't seem fair." said Lincoln.
"Forgive me." said Atticus.
"Haven't you heard anything from the big boss?" asked Youseff.
"Nay, we haven't heard a thing since that fateful day." said Atticus. "Without the big boss, Team Star can't carry on; and without the team, the bright and merry student life is beyond our reach! We've no choice but to defend our bases until the big boss returns to us!"
"Who is this boss of yours?" asked Clyde.
"We don't know." said Atticus. "None of us have ever met the boss in person before."
"Works in the shadows?" asked Lucy. "Sounds like someone I can relate to."
"We all simply wait and protect our bases until the day the boss returns to us." said Atticus.
"You've got a lifelong compadre in me, and don't you forget it!" said Youseff.
"My compadre." said Atticus. "I owe you a great debt."
"What is the deal with Team Star?" asked Lana.
"What is this about bullying at the academy?" asked Lincoln.
"I haven't seen anything like that there." said Nemona.
"There are so many things we don't know yet." said Clyde.
"Maybe when we meet the last two squad leaders, we'll learn more." said Lincoln.
Lincoln's group has taken down another Team Star base; now only two remain. What else will Lincoln, along with his family and friends, experience as their Paldea adventures continue?
Back at Royal Woods in the McBride residence, Harold McBride was setting down a scratching post in front of Meowth.
"Okay, Meowth; use Scratch on the scratching post." said Howard. Meowth leaps at the scratching post and scratches it; seconds later, the scratching post falls apart. Howard and Harold look at each other.
"I think we need a more durable scratching post." said Harold.
