after the events involving charmander and damian as well as a nice rest, the group departed to the next town. ash and serena were slightly ahead of the group. they were conversating about something drax couldnt hear but wasnt really interested in.
ash had caught both charmander and bulbasaur just a few hours ago. both of them wanting to join him after seeing what lengths he had gone for charmander.
while the group was enjoying theyre stroll, the didnt notice the pit trap in front of them. someone did though. one of drax's pokeballs opened as titana revealed herself and grabbed both ash and serena by the collars. she pulled them back just as the pit trap was triggered.
"damnit!" shouted a nearby voice.
the group looked across the pit trap to see 5 squirtle in sunglasses. the middle one's sunglasses were pointed on the sides while the other four had round.
"first a bulbasaur, then a charmander, now 5 squirtle?" said drax. "if these guys have a similar backstory imma need to have words with the elite four in this region. theres no way the starters in this region are treated this porely."
drax's words caught the attention of the lead squirtle. "well, now i feel kinda bad." he said. "you guys had shit trainers, didnt you?" drax said with a face palm. "yup." said one of the squirtle. "im starting to get concerned with how much this is happening." drax said. "id be far more concerned with what ill do to those trainers if we meet them." said titana, cracking her knuckles. "i like her. shes scary but cool." said one of the squirtle.
the conversation wouldve continued if it werent for the sound of sirens getting closer.
"cheese it its the fuzz!" said the lead squirtle as the of them jumped into the bushes.
officer jenny pulled up on her motorcycle. she looked around for a moment before noticing the pit trap. "were there 5 squirtle here?" she asked. "yeah." said drax. "they went that way." he pointed in the opposite direction that the squirtle went. officer jenny nodded and sped off.
the squirtle stepped out of the bushes a moment later.
"why'd you help us?" asked one of them. "i dont think a pitfall prank warants getting arrested. its not even that deep." drax responded. "besides, im sick of trainers abandoning their pokemon. ive seen it seven times in this region alone."
the squirtle exchanged looks with eachother. before the lead squirtle stepped up. "alright, human. we want to travel with you. not be caught, just travel. well, decide if we wanna join you or not." he said. "knock yourselves out." drax said. "just be ready for lots of unexplained events to happen." the squirtle tilted their heads at that. "like what?" one of them asked. a golden ring appeared above drax and a shiny gardevoir landed in his arms bridal style. "like that." drax said.
"well hello there." said the gardevoir in a flirty tone. "oh, thats what this one's deal is." drax said before booping her on the head with a pokeball. "what was that?" asked the lead squirtle. "one of the many weird pokemon that gets dropped on my head and ends up as a part of my team." drax responded. "it happens more often then you think." said evergreen coming out of her pokeball. "like you're one to talk miss i have a green leg and am faster then the average gardevoir." drax said. "you dont seeme denying it." evergreen said while shrugging.
"as entertaining as this conversation is, we should probably go before officer jenny comes back." elesa said. "i dont mind waiting." brock said and was promptly punched into the ground by jessie and james. "no." said james. "bad brock." jessie said. "you didnt stop the new gardevoir from flirting with drax." said brock. "we arent exactly in the mood to be sucked into a black hole." james said.
then the group heard the sound of a motorbike. "crap, evergreen use teleport!" drax said. the group was warped away.
the group reappeared on a beach. "... where are we?" asked drax. "a beach in paldea." evergreen responded. "when i asked you to use teleport i didnt mean to another region!" drax said. "not my fault." evergreen said, returning herself. "oi! get back out here!" drax said. there was no response. "i cant compete in the pokemon league if we're in another region!" ash said in a panicked tone. "i mean... do ya really have to challenge da pokemon league to become a pokemon master?" meowth asked. ash paused at that. "do i? i never really thought about that." he said. "theres a lot you dont thing about buddy." pikachu said.
the group looked around for a bit until drax spoke up.
"uh, guys." he said pointing at two pokemom nearby the water. they were knocked out. drax and ash were the first to rush over. drax recognized their appearances instantly. "these guys came from the crator!" drax said. he knew paradox pokemon when he saw them. "by the looks of these guys theyre related to cyclizar." he said bending down to chec what was wrong. one of the two pokemon looked up at him. it was a more robotic looking one with pixel eyes, a glowing throat and a glowing tail.
"please." the robot one said in a male voice. "hungry." said the other one. drax reached into his bag. luckily he always had pizza sandwiches made in case he didnt want to make something big. he handed one to ash to feed the one covered in feathers. both scarfed down the food. then proceded to tackle drax and ash in thanks.
"small human has helped koraidon. koraidon is thankful!" said the feathered cyclizar lookalike. he was giving ash a crushing hug as thanks. "yes, thank you." said the more robot cyclizar lookalike. "we had just barely escaped from two stronger ones of our kind but collapsed due to hunger." he said. "no problem." drax said. "just happy to help." a wheeze was heard next to drax. he turned to see ash turning blue. "could you help me next." he rasped. "um, koraidon. i believe you are crushing the small human." the robot cyclizar said. "oh." koraidon said and let ash go. "koraidon is sorry." he said patting ash on the back. "its fine." ash said trying to breath in as much air as possible.
"i am miraidon." said the now named miraidon. "im drax. thats ash." said drax. "i wasnt aware there were paradox variants of cyclizar." miraidon blinked. "i beg your pardon?" he said. "this isnt your time period." drax said. "its not much different." miraidon said. "this is paldea is it not?" drax was confused. "it is." he said. "how'd you know?" koradon jumped in at that point. "koraidon recognize lighthouse. it where koraidon live." koraidon pointed at the nearby lighthouse before tilting his head in confusion. "why lighthouse look new?" he said. "i was about to ask the same. but in reverse." miraidon said. "why does the lighthouse look so old-fashioned."
a theory began building in drax's mind. maybe they werent from the past and future.
"if i may?" drax asked. "what is this?" he aske holding up pikachu. "that a pikachu." koraidon said. "yes, thats a pikachu." miraidon said in slight confusion. "alright. what about this?" drax said, releasing vio. "that a gallade." said koraidon. "an underdeveloped galiantedge?" asked miraidon in confusion. "okay one more." drax said pulling up his pokedex. it showed a picture of a donphan. "why that donphan's tusks so small?" asked koraidon. "is that what donspin is supposed to be? i thought it was a shop vacuum with legs." miraidon said. "thar confirms it." drax said. "confirms what exactly?" asked miraidon. "you guys are from alternate timelines not the past and future. you both knew what a pikachu was one of you has gallade in your timeline while the other has an entirely different evolution for the ralts line. and donphan looks different in both timelines. that makes a lot more sense then you being from the past and future."
"so you say we in different version of home?" asked koraidon. "one that is less technologically advanced then my home, but more civilized then koraidon's?" finished miraidon. "three timelines. one more primal but still modern, one thats more technologically advanced but not futuristic, and one that combines both." drax said.
the two dragon pokemon were silent before koraidon spoke. "new home! new to see!" he exclaimed. "indeed. i would very much like to see the differences here compaired to my own timeline." miraidon said. "do humans use pokeballs in this timeline?" drax was taken off guard by their acceptance of what he said. "um, yes we do but im surprised youre taking this so well." he said. "as far as i am concerned, this timeline is nearly the same as ours just with some slight differences." miraidon said. "koraidon calls dibs on human ash!" koraidon said as he lifted ash into the air like simba. "thats fine." said miraidon. "id rather stick with drax here. he seems to be more of my style." drax rolled his eyes at the sudden declaration. "im not even surprised at this point." he said pulling out a pokeball and catching miraidon. ash did the same with koraidon.
"now we need a way out off this beach." drax said. miraidon and koraidon let themselves out of their pokeballs. "we fly!" koraidon shouted as he headbutted ash onto his back. ash held onto two tendrals on koraidons back in surprise. "indeed, we are capable of flight." miraidom stated as two triangle shaped wings appeared from his antennae. the two tendrals on koraidons head unfirled. revealing two feathered wings. "two trips needed." koraidon said once he realized how many people where there.
"perhaps catching some cyclizar while we're here is a good idea." said brock. "but im an electric type specialist." said elesa. "and im water." said misty. "i can just ride on zebstrika." elesa decided. "i would loveto catch an espathra while we're here." james gushed. "i heard there was a cool poison/steel type in this region." jessie said. "o have bee wanting to do some research on the charcadet line." drax said. "but we need to get back to kanto soon. drax said. everyone agreed to that and started discussing what pokemon to add to their teams while they were here.
as the group made it to the lighthouse they were stopped by a boy in a bright pink coat and a hatterene by his side.
"i do appologise for bothering you but might i ask how you ended up down there?" he asked. he had a galarian accent. "accidental teleport." drax said. we were in kanto before this. "i see." said the boy. "i just arrived here for a vacation. hatterene and i were just out for a walk... or a float in her case." he said. "im bede." he said holding out his hand. "drax." said drax taking the offered hand. "this is ash, serena, brock, misty, elesa, jessie, james, and meowth."
meowth gave a two pawed salute. "how ya doin." he said. "sweet zamazenta he speaks!" bede exclaimed. "and im de only one dat learned how to do it from hard woirk." said meowth. "yeah, rub it in, cat." said pikachu. bede turned to the pikachu in shock. "yeah a lot of our pokemon can speak human." drax said. "incredible." bede said. "well i bid the lot of you a good day but we must continue our walk." he said with a wave. the group said their farwells as bede began walking away. he stopped when he noticed hatterene wasnt following him. "hatterene?" he asked. said pokemon was now in front of drax giving him a scrutinizing look. it wasnt long before her long arm reached into the hair below her body and pulled out an egg. she gestured for drax to take it to which he hesatated. "hatterene, are you sure?" asked bede. hatterene nodded without saying anything.
drax held his hand out and hatterene gently placed it in his hand. "take care of her." drax heard a voice say in his head. "hatterene has been looking for someone to take care of that egg." bede said. "its not hers, but its the same species as her. she seems to think youre the right choice. please take care of it." bede said. drax was silent for a moment. "you have my word." drax said. "grinade, incubator." drax's backpack shifted and changed as and egg incubator appeared on the bottom of it. he'd never taken care of an egg before but he knew what was neccissary.
"that egg will hatch soon." bede said. i hope the pokemon inside will be happy with you." bede and hatterene left. while drax looked at the egg knowing he had a great responisbility.
so the group is in paldea now. dont worry they'll back to kanto. i just decided to throw this in for shits and giggles. also get ready cuz drax is going to learn what its like to be the object of multiple girls attention.
