Author Notes
Happy April Fools'! Well, what can I say, jajajaja. Obviously, that chapter is not the end of the story. I would never end it like that; it would be too cruel for me, jejejeje. So, here is the original chapter hope you like it. Oh, and before you read this, if you thought that it was actually the end or it seemed kind of weird, please leave a review so you can let me know. And finally, a question: Do you want me to keep that chapter? My idea is to erase it, so it all depends on you guys. Love you :).
Any constructive review is really appreciated.

Chapter XIV
Digna
Walking down the streets, one in front of the other, with Akko watching Hannah's back, all kinds of thoughts flooded her mind, and one in particular began to resonate more than the others.
.
Was she really ready to take this step?
.
She wondered over and over again.
.
Was she sure she could sustain a relationship, or would her mental state betray her?
.
'No, I'm not the same as before.'
.
Was she worthy of being with someone like Hannah?
.
'Am I?'
..
'Pffft, obviously not, Atsuko, you're not,' said a voice in her head.
…
'You, again.'
'Yes, my dear Atsuko, me again.'
….
'What do you want?' Akko said with fury.
'Nothing, just to tell you the truth, and that is no, you're not worthy.'
'How do you know?'
…..
'How many times have I told you, why don't you understand, Kagari?'
'Understand what?'
'Do I have to spell it out for you, or wasn't it clear?'
'Shut up!'
…
'Atsuko, you will never be worthy of someone.'
'Shut up! Shut up!'
'They will never love you, Atsuko. Not Diana, not Hannah.'
'Don't talk anymore!'
'It's just a matter of time, Atsuko.'
….
"N-no more. Please."
For a few seconds, Akko didn't know where she was. Her mind had clouded over, and her vision had blurred. The memories of that day came back with relentless force.
"¡D-D-Diana, I like you !"
She was back in front of those judging blue eyes. She couldn't breathe, feeling as if her chest was being compressed.
"Is this some kind of joke?"
She heard her say. Her hands began to tremble, and an inexplicable cold took hold of her body.
"How do you think someone like you could be with a Cavendish?"
Yes, someone like her, a failed witch, someone life had never given a single chance.
.
.
"Ak..."
She heard something in the background.
"Akko..."
She felt someone shake her abruptly, and lifting her gaze, she noticed eyes that were not blue, but black.
"Are you okay?"
Akko kept looking into Hannah's eyes, and the sorrow and misery she felt before were replaced by embarrassment and irony.
"Where are we?" she managed to whisper, averting her gaze she felt a gust of wind pass over her face, and in front of her was an incredible view.
"This is where I wanted to bring you," she heard as she saw the entire city full of life. "Beautiful view, right?"
Akko, who at this moment felt nothing, allowed herself for just a few moments to see how the world moved, a world that in the end would never embrace her.
"Akko, I have something very important to tell you," the Japanese girl looked back at her companion, and seeing the nervous expression on her face and the fidgeting of her hands, she knew what was coming next.
The girl took a breath and, looking into her eyes, looked at her seriously and said, "Atsuko Kagari, I like you. Will you go out with me?"
...
..
.
An uncomfortable silence followed after Hannah spat out those words, and seeing no response, she repeated her name to get her attention. "Akko?" But still, there was no answer. A few more minutes passed, and laughter was all that was heard.
"Hahahahaha, really, Hannah?"
The girl, thinking it was Akko's way of lightening the situation, simply smiled and said, "Seriously."
What she hadn't noticed was that when she raised her gaze, which had been lowered in shame, she encountered empty eyes. There was no hatred or contempt, just the emptiness of a red that shone more dimly than usual. This chilled her blood, but determined to face the moment, she approached Akko and, placing her hand on her face, said tenderly, "Akko, you are one of the most beautiful things that have happened to me in life."
Despite the lack of reaction in Akko's eyes, Hannah continued, drawing even closer, she began to whisper, "Yes, at first it was a relationship born out of my stubbornness and envy, but after that day..." she paused and noticed how Akko's eyes began to change, "That day when I saw you standing in front of Diana, being cruelly rejected, something changed within me."
Tears began to fall from Hannah's eyes as she remembered, "And what about when you came to my room to save me from Amanda. No one had ever done something like that for me. That small figure that with all her body protected me..."
Akko began to regain her normal skin color. She was no longer trembling from fear, but from nerves and the butterflies that were born in her stomach. "Atsuko," Hannah continued, not moving away from her or her gaze, "when I tell you I want to go out with you, it's not a lie, it's not a joke, it's not that you're not the right one."
Hannah stepped back, opened her arms offering a hug, and said with words that resonated deeply in Akko's soul,
.
"Atsuko, I want someone like you by my side forever. Not because my last name is England, not because I want you to be an excellent witch which you already are, not because you're the epitome of elegance, but because you have become the beacon that guides my path, the center of my life."
"Akko, I love you."
.
Akko couldn't hold back any longer, she ran into Hannah's arms and burst into tears. She clung to her with all her strength, while a storm of emotions poured out of her being. Hannah responded in kind, stroking her back and her hair.
"H-ha-nna—h, I-I'm so-rry" was all Akko could express between sobs, as more tears streamed from her eyes. "Shhh, it's okay," said Hannah, not backing down in her gestures of affection. "You have nothing to apologize for."
.
.
After a while, and noticing that her voice returned, Akko, looking into Hannah's eyes, said with a trembling voice, "You're my guardian angel, did you know?" Hannah laughed and replied, "Yep, just with a pointy hat and a wand that can curse."
Akko continued to look at her and continued, "That doesn't matter." And, moving closer to Hannah's face, she planted a quick kiss on her cheek, surprising the girl who could only blush.
"Is that a yes?" Akko, somewhat bewildered as she got up from the ground, opened her eyes to say, "Hannah, I didn't think you were this dense." The girl, still on the ground, stuck out her tongue and replied, "You're the dense one."
Akko laughed at this and said while extending her hand to help her up, "But I'm your dense one."
