Author Notes

Haaaa, it's been nearly three months since the last update quite a while! But the good news is that we're back with a new chapter, so enjoy it. Oh, and if you've been reading Tenebris, I have some bad news: it will take some time to update. But I promise you that I will continue the story someday.

Any constructive review is really appreciated.

Declaimer: I don't own any characters from Little Witch Academia, I'm just doing this for fun.

Chapter XX

Fuga

Running through the streets of a London sunset was something she did not expect to happen during this little adventure that had started thanks to Hannah's sister. And although uncertainty was killing her inside and she knew she had done something serious, she had to support the girl who was now running alongside her.

Hannah had done everything for her, and now it was her turn to return the favor.

After what seemed like a good while and both girls' legs grew tired, they stopped near a small park. Finding the first empty bench, they sat down and, taking a much-needed breath, watched the passing of people who still walked the streets at these hours.

"What are we going to do now?" asked Hannah, who still hadn't processed that they had fled from her home.

"Well, I think the first thing is to find a hotel," said Akko, unsure because although she wanted to appear somehow reliable, she knew that this had never been her style.

"Aaaarg, I'm so stupid," said Hannah as she hysterically lifted her arms.

"Hannah?" Akko said, confused.

"I shouldn't have invited you, Akko. I shouldn't even have opened my mouth when Sarah started interrogating me."

"Hey," said Akko, moving closer to the girl, while Hannah just shook her head.

"I never imagined that my parents would be..."

But Akko, not giving up, started to extend her arms towards the girl.

"Hannah..."

However, she did not stop and, starting to sob, said:

"Akko, I'm so sorry..."

"Hannah, please, it doesn't matter," Akko pleaded because she hated to see her cry.

"I'm sorry... Hic," and the tears did not stop, as the rejection of the people you love most in the world, like your parents, opens an irreparable wound, a wound that is probably the same as the one she suffered the day Diana rejected her.

"Come on, let's go, I think there will be a hotel nearby."

Setting off with the girl almost in her arms, Akko began to look for any sign that would give them a clue on where to stay. Fortunately, the park they had just left was a very touristy area and seeing a rather modern building that looked more than decent, Akko did not hesitate to enter with a Hannah who was at least able to walk on her own.

At the reception, they were greeted by a kindly looking girl who asked, "Welcome to the Hilton London Bankside Hotel, what do you need?"

Akko, glancing at Hannah and then back at the girl, said, "A double bed room, please."

The receptionist, who apparently hadn't paid much attention to the girls' ages, asked, "For how long?"

Akko, undecided, thought for a moment and said, "Two days and two nights."

Checking her computer again, the receptionist said, "We have a promotion right now for three days and two nights in the executive suite with a 40% discount, would you like that?"

Akko, surprised, looked at her wide-eyed and said, "Why?"

The girl, without answering, simply smiled and asked again, "Do you want it?"

Akko, who had not understood what was happening at all, responded, "Yes, please."

The receptionist looked at a few more things on the computer and, looking back at Akko, said, "That would be 670 pounds."

The girl, taking out the credit card that her parents had given her before coming to Luna Nova and where she also kept all her savings, paid without a second thought. As soon as the payment terminal beeped, the receptionist handed them the key and with one last smile directed them to where the room was located.

Walking down the hotel corridors and taking the elevator only once, they reached the room. As expected, being a luxury suite, it was on one of the top floors. Swiping the card through the door lock, Akko entered first and a downcast Hannah followed her in.

The place was not that big, however, all the amenities it offered made it definitely worth being a luxury suite. Placing her suitcase on one of the dining chairs and now with complete privacy assured, she turned around and faced her girlfriend.

"How are you feeling?" she asked as she took her by both hands, caressing them in the process.

Hannah, for her part, looking her straight in the face, replied, "Tired. I want to take a shower and sleep until noon."

"Sounds like a good plan," Akko said with a smile that Hannah returned, but not in her usual way. "If you want, take the shower first and then we'll see how we settle in."

The English girl nodded and, walking in search of the bathroom, disappeared into the room.

Taking a deep breath and sitting down with her legs crossed in the living room, Akko turned on the television and flipped through channels waiting for the girl to come out of the bathroom.

Time passed, and Hannah emerged from the room with noticeably swollen eyes, dressed in the same clothes she had left her house in. In the rush to escape her two tormentors, the girl hadn't had time to prepare anything.

"Ready?" asked Akko, who was already nodding off a bit from tiredness on the sofa. Standing up then, she looked at her again and, seeing how the English girl nodded, affirmed, "Okay, then I'll go take a shower. Take this spare pajama, it should fit you well, since we are the same size. When I come out, we'll look at the bed situation."

Quickly heading to the bathroom, Akko took a quick shower and in record time was standing ready in the room for finally a deserved rest.

Hannah, for her part, had already taken possession of the right side of the bed and was looking out the window at the city's nighttime activity. Joining hands and with evident nervousness, Akko asked, "So, how do we divide it? If you want, I can sleep with my legs towards the headboard and you like a normal person."

Hannah, looking at her with a furrowed brow, shook her head and with a slightly hoarse voice said, "No, we'll both sleep as we normally do. Besides, I'm your girlfriend, Akko. What are you nervous about?"

Akko, who looked at her with slightly red cheeks, said the following, "It's the first time in my life I'm sleeping with someone who isn't my parents."

Hannah, who was looking at her huffing, pointed to the bed with her index finger saying, "Akko, you don't have to be nervous. Come on, I'm dead tired."

Nodding and starting to walk towards the said object, each took their side. Hannah, turning to look at her, moved closer to the Japanese girl and snuggled into her chest.

"Good night, Akko. I love you."

Akko, who was a little paralyzed by this, looked at her, gave her a kiss on the forehead, and replied, "Good night, my love. I adore you too."

Hours passed and she couldn't fall asleep. However, the girl in her arms slept peacefully without any hesitation or concern. Looking at the clock, it was 3 AM. Taking a deep breath, she got out of bed as delicately as she could. She took her cell phone and, leaving the room, closed the door to make sure no one would hear her.

Sitting down in a chair in the dining area that faced the small kitchen of the room, she looked up her contacts and dialed the number she had decided to call several hours ago.

Accompanied by the ringing sound from her device, Akko heard someone answer on the other side and she, without hesitation, said:

"Hello, Mom, it's Akko."
