White Sand Ch. 6

TIME JUMP 3 WEEKS

"You got this Davina. Take a deep breath and let the fire slowly move over your body." Atlanna knew that she was so close to being able to control how slowly or quickly the fire spread over her body, it was amazing progress.

"Trust yourself sweetheart," glancing around the little cove that they were in, "there is nothing here that would be harmed, let the fire within you come forward." Atlanna could see that the fear of losing control was still holding her back, but she was so close to finding herself that today she was going to push her.

Using her forearm to wipe the sweat from her forehead, Davy was exhausted from the extensive training that Atlanna had been putting her through. Every day they swam for a good 30 minutes, then together they would row the kayak the mile and a half to the little island, and it seemed for good measure she would have her run. In the beginning it exhausted her to the point that she couldn't even start a small fire in her hand, but now she was able to do all that and properly bring forward the fire in her hands.

However, it seemed that today Atlanna was wanting to not only have her bring it forward but also move it up her arms and eventually over her body. Taking a steadying breath, Davy focused her energy on her hands letting the heat flow through her and within a second both of her hands were engulfed with blue flames. Looking up towards Atlanna, giving her a soft smile, she knew that this wasn't the time for her to smile at her friend, they were training, and she needed to focus.

Letting her mind relax, Davy felt the flames slowly crawling up her arms and down her chest until she was completely covered. Sparing a quick glance down at her body, Davy was taken back by how the water she was standing in was steaming around her, it was momentarily distracting but she quickly recovered.

Atlanna leaned against the rocks, her eyes never leaving Davina, pleased that she was able to keep the flames over her whole body. It was an impressive sight to behold, never in her life had she seen a flame such a color, in her limited experience with the element it was usually an orangish red.

However, it wasn't something that she felt they needed to worry about, at least for now, instead she wanted to see what else she could do with her gifts. Reaching for her trident, Atlanna slowly made her way over to where she was standing in the water.

Spinning it around, she smirked at the very confused look on her friend's face, "Relax, I'm not going to attack you, yet." Taking a stance, "I want you to throw your flame, if you can."

"WHAT?" Blinking rapidly, Davy could feel her heart starting to pound in her ears and she was certain Atlanna could hear it too. "Are you serious?" she asked, scared that she had misunderstood her words.

Giving her a soft smile, "I am sweetheart." Atlanna could see the fear in her eyes, "I know you're scared, but the point of this training is to find out what you can do." Staring into her golden eyes, "You are building your endurance, but now it's time to find out if you can use it, at least to protect yourself if it ever came down to it."

Finding her mouth suddenly dry, Davy could see that Atlanna wasn't kidding. "I don't want to hurt you."

Sighing, this was the thing that she truly needed to get over, fear of herself. "Davina Olsen, stop making excuses. You are strong and capable, trust yourself as much as I do." Hoping that Davina understood that she wasn't yelling at her per say, just that she was trying to motivate her.

Using her forearm to move the hair that had fallen into her eyes, Davy watched Atlanna take a fighting stance. Deep in her heart she knew that Atlanna wasn't some weak person, but outside of lighting a fire in her home she just never used her gift in such a manner.

Letting out a sigh, Davy knew that if she didn't commit to this training, she was keeping herself from truly experiencing control. Glancing over at her friend, she could see the warrior that she was shining through, excitement dancing in her green eyes.

Shaking her head, Davy knew that there would be no arguing with her about this, "Alright." Taking a steady breath, she raised her hand focusing her energy in forming a ball and once she felt it build up Davy tossed it towards her friend. Gasping as she watched a basketball sized flame hurl towards her friend.

Using her trident, Atlanna deflected the flame towards the water, smirking a bit at the steam that was now coming from the little waves. Turning her attention towards Davina, she could see her anxiousness all over her face, "You did good, sweetheart. Real good." While she wanted to continue with her training, she knew that if she pushed her too far too quickly it could set her back and that was the last thing that she wanted to do.

"It's time to pull everything in and find your center." Chuckling a bit as she saw relief on her face.

"Thank you." she muttered. Taking several deep breaths, Davy watched as the flames quickly dissipated and soon the cold air around her touched her face. Tilting her head towards the wind she couldn't help but enjoy how the frigid winter air cooled her overheated skin.

Davy closed her eyes, her mind racing through all the emotions that she was feeling but her strongest feeling was acceptance, and it was almost enough to bring her to her knees. But instead of succumbing to her emotions at least for now, she took another steadying breath and found Atlanna watching her intently.

"Acceptance, I never thought I would ever feel that when it came to my powers." She said, her voice still filled with emotion.

Pulling her into a deep hug, Atlanna placed a kiss on her temple, "That is good my sweet girl." Leaning back slightly, Atlanna watched as emotions danced across her face but what was finally missing in her eyes was some of the fear. Tucking some of her hair behind her ear, "Ready to head back?"

Nodding, "Same time tomorrow?" She asked her friend.

"No, you've been working really hard these last few weeks, you should rest a few days." Placing her hand on Davina's shoulder, Atlanna led her towards the kayaks knowing that Arthur was probably sitting on the docks waiting for Davina to come back.

Sliding the oar through the water Davy couldn't help but feel at peace, not only with herself but with the world around her. If anyone had told her a year ago that she would feel this confident in or around the water, she would have laughed in their face. While she was still a little uncertain in the water when she was swimming, each day she felt herself getting a little stronger and being able to stay in a little longer.

Hearing a loud squeak distracted her from her current train of thought, glancing around the Sound, Davy found herself looking into the eyes of one of the orcas from the local pod. A smile spread across her face; this was another thing that she would never have believed befriending such a beautiful creature.

Reaching down, Davy gently rubbed the dorsal fin, enjoying how the soft texture of the skin felt under her fingers, "This is by far the most amazing thing that I've had the pleasure of experiencing." She said mostly to herself.

Atlanna watched how she interacted with the young male, most humans would find the animal beautiful but would not be brave enough to touch. However, with the help of Arthur, Davy was far more comfortable with the animals than most and to her that helped build the bridge between them.

"My son would be proud of you." She said, knowing that Arthur craved someone to be able to share his gift with.

Chuckling a bit, "I'm not sure about that." Hearing a few more squeaks, Davy found the pod calling for their missing member, giving him a warm smile, "You should go, your family is waiting." Keeping her eyes on the whale until the pod swam out to sea, Davy carefully put her oar back in the water and started the trek back toward the lighthouse.

Arthur exhaled slowly as he watched their kayaks finally come into view, thankful that another trip towards the island seemed to end with everyone coming home unharmed. Running his fingers through his hair, he knew that she wasn't in any real danger and that his mom would be able to protect them if anyone was stupid enough to try, but until he knew for certain that she was safe he always felt like he was on alert.

Taking a seat on the bench, Arthur could feel his dad walking down the dock towards the edge, like him he wanted to make sure that his wife got home safely.

Tom plopped down next to his son, "They seem to be in good spirits." His eyes seeing their faces, both wearing huge smiles.

Leaning forward on his knees, Arthur watched as Davina drove the oar through the water with a determined look on her face, it brought a smile to his. "She's changed." He said to himself.

Nodding, "She's finally accepting who she is." Turning his eyes slightly towards his son, pleased to see that most of his wounds seemed to have healed as well. "How are things with the two of you?" Curious about how their relationship has changed since her training.

Unable to keep the smirk off his face, Arthur turned towards his dad, "We are good. Real good." Leaning back just a bit, he knew what his dad was asking, "I can still see that she is holding herself back, but every day she opens herself to me a little more." And that was something the was grateful for, he loved her, and he was certain that she felt the same about him.

"That's good." Adjusting his cap, Tom watched as the girls made their way towards the dock, but he was too curious not to ask. "And what would you like to see happen between you two?"

Snapping his eyes towards his dad, seeing nothing but curiosity and hope in his eyes. Moving to stand because they were within a few yards of the dock, Arthur straightened his spine, but he quickly turned to his dad, "To make her mine in every way that she'll let me." It was the only thing that he could honestly say on the matter, he loved her and wanted everything with her.

Stepping towards the edge of the dock, Arthur leaned down extending his hand towards her, enjoying the feel of her hand wrapping around his. Hauling her out of the kayak, Arthur placed a soft kiss on her lips, enjoying how she wrapped herself around his body. Pulling back just a bit, he kept his forehead on hers, "Have fun, baby?"

Davy felt breathless, some of it was from sheer exhaustion but most of it was because she was in his arms. "We did. I'm pushing myself a little further every day." Sighing a bit as her feet touched the ground, Davy could feel Arthur watching her. "What?"

Tucking loose strands of her hair behind her ear, it was all he could do from blurting out how he felt about her, not that he was ashamed, he just knew that she wasn't ready for that. "You ready to head home?"

Nodding slightly, Davy turned towards Tom and Atlanna, "See you at dinner tomorrow?"

Tom watched his son pull Davy closer towards him, it was a strange sight to see, even with Mera he was never so tactile but perhaps that was the difference, Davy brought his more sensitive side to the surface.

"Of course, going to be grilling steaks before it's too cold to be outside." As those words left his mouth, he just shook his head, "Well for us mere mortals." His eyes glancing around at the three people around him, knowing that they didn't need to worry about the colder weather like he did.

Rolling her eyes Davy just snorted, "You are ridiculous." Taking a step away from Arthur, she pulled Atlanna into a deep hug, "I'll see you tomorrow."

"I look forward to it sweet girl." Looking up at her son, she gave him a swift kiss on his cheek, "Love you."

"Love you to mom," turning towards his dad, "You too old man." Chuckling as his dad gave him the finger, Arthur placed his hand on her shoulder and gently turned her towards his truck. Not that he didn't love spending time with his parents, but he wanted to go home and relax with her by a nice fire.

Tilting her head back as the hot water cascaded down her face, Davy almost moaned from the sheer pleasure of it. Rolling her neck, she attempted to loosen the knot that was there, but unfortunately no matter which way she turned her head the water pressure was not strong enough to release it. Getting a little frustrated that nothing she was doing was helping, lifting her hand to massage herself she instead felt his large hand gripping the back of her neck.

"Oh Jesus, that feels good." She moaned out.

Leaning down Arthur gently bit the spot between her neck and shoulder, chuckling as he felt her shiver under his teeth. "You feel good." He growled out. Sliding his hand around her neck, Arthur quickly spun her around and gently pushed her against the cold tile. Lifting her up, Arthur moved quickly until the heat of her pussy teased the tip of his cock, "Davina, I need you." His voice shaking with desire.

Wrapping her legs around his waist, Davy rolled her hips towards his, hissing as the tip of his cock pushed against her clit. "Please." Desperate to feel him inside of her body. Leaning forward, Davy licked his lips enjoying the feeling of his fingers digging into her skin, "Arthur, I need you." Not caring how desperate she sounded.

Slamming his lips on hers, Arthur drove his tongue into her mouth, groaning as her light citrus taste invaded his senses. Pulling back enough so that he could see into her eyes, enjoying watching how they gleamed up at him. Lifting her up, chuckling as her body reacted to the cold tile, "Is that cold, baby?" he teased.

Shivering slightly, Davy leaned forward wrapping her arms around his neck, darting out her tongue she licked the side of his neck grinning a bit as he growled in her ear. "Stop teasing me." She whispered against his flesh. Hissing a bit as those words left her mouth, she could feel his fingers digging into her flesh and that had her pussy throbbing.

Gripping her waist tighter, he knew that in the morning she would be bruised but, in this moment, he didn't give a fuck all he wanted was to feel her cum around his cock. Pushing the tip of his cock into her body, it took all his control to keep from driving into her body. "Davina, I don't think I can be gentle." His voice shaking with need.

Rolling her hips wanting to feel every inch of him in her body, frustrated that he held her still, "Just fuck me." She hissed out.

Holding her hips a little tighter, Arthur thrusted himself deep into her body almost cumming as her velvety walls squeezed him. "Fucking A." Resting his forehead against hers, Arthur needed a moment to get himself under control. However, it was nearly impossible, it was the way her body squeezed him, how wet she was, but more than anything it was how she looked at him when he was inside her, with trust.

Looking down into her eyes, he could see her excitement, not wanting to disappoint her, Arthur slowly slid his cock out of her body, groaning as the velvety texture massaged him. Tilting down to wear their bodies were joined, biting his bottom lip at the sight of her body stretched around him, but in this moment, he was more concerned with feeling her body cum around him than anything else.

Keeping a tight grip on her hips Arthur snapped his forward, his body shaking at the sound of her cries, "Oh darling, you're going to be sore."

Davy wrapped her arms around his neck as he fucked her raw, she loved it when he was gentle with her, but in times where he was the most primal excited her in ways that truly were surprising. Pulling herself closer to his body, she rolled her hips as best she could, but the brutal pace he was fucking her, she could only hold on. Sliding her hands into his hair, Davy could feel her body being torn, "Arthur, please, don't stop."

Closing her eyes, she tilted her head until it hit the tile, not caring how much it hurt, she just wanted to feel him push her over the edge and bring him over with her. Squeezing her kegal muscles, Davy hissed as she felt his dick push against her cervix and with him being 11 inches it was something that she was getting used to.

Gasping as he drove himself harder into her, Davy got lost in the sound of the water hitting the floor, their skin slapping together, and how his skin slid against hers, it was too much. "So, close." Wrapping herself tighter around him desperate to fall over the edge with him.

Snaking his hand down between their bodies, Arthur used his knuckle to massage her clit and her reaction was instant. Feeling her pussy contract around his aching cock pushed him towards the edge, feeling his balls tighten, he knew that he was moments away and he would never cum before her. Slowing his pace, he drove himself harder into her wanting to enjoy the slow strokes on his cock, but as he slid deeper into her body, he could feel her walls shaking around him.

Wrapping his other hand in her hair, Arthur kept his forehead against hers, breathing her in as he felt her body quake, "Davina." His voice hoarse from strain and desire.

Closing his eyes as he felt her juices run down his shaft and towards his balls, but it was the sound of her crying his name as she came that pushed him over. Slamming his hand into the tile above her, Arthur could feel his eyes rolling in the back of his head as he emptied himself into her body.

If it wasn't for the tile breaking above her head, she would have been lost to the white noise of the water cascading around them. Opening her eyes, she found his golden ones staring into hers, lifting her hand to his face, Davy could feel herself falling for him a little more.

Taking a moment to control her emotions, at least for now, she leaned forward placing a small kiss on his, sighing in contentment when she felt his fingers gently massaging her hair. Leaning into his hand, smiling as he turned off the water, taking a deep breath, she allowed her natural heat to come forward and soon the water on their bodies started to evaporate.

"That's sexy as hell." Pleased to see that she was finally comfortable enough to use her gift in front of him.

Stepping out of his shower, Arthur kept her body wrapped around his, he refused to let his cock slip out of her, the very primitive part of his brain wanted her to have his child. He knew that they were far from such things, but he could hope that it was part of the future that she wanted too.

Making his way towards his bed, Arthur gently fell in making sure to keep her on top of his chest, wrapping his arms around her back desperate to keep her close.

Snuggling into his chest, Davy couldn't help but feel at peace, never in her life had she felt safer or more seen as a person. Shivering a bit as she felt his fingers lightly stroke her spine, but she couldn't help but lean into his touch. "I'd like to show you what I've learned so far." She whispered.

Glancing down at the woman on his chest, Arthur could barely see her eyes, but he knew that she was worried about him seeing. "Baby, I would like that." Using his fingertips to move the hair that was covering her face, smiling as he watched her blush.

"Don't worry my fire goddess, I'm not scared of you and for fucks sake you're not going to hurt me." Knowing that it was the one thing that seemed to weigh heavily on her mind.

Tilting her head so that she could look into his eyes, Davy could see that he was being serious about not fearing her and for the first time that was enough for her. Turning ever so slightly she placed a kiss over his heart, she wasn't ready to say how she felt completely but she wanted him to know in her own way. "I've never trusted anyone the way I trust you." It was the most authentic statement that she was ready to give him.

Kissing her temple, Arthur couldn't help but smile at her, "Good." Closing his eyes, Arthur settled in for the night, "Woman, there isn't going to be a moment where you can't." Hoping that she understood that he meant that.

"Tomorrow morning, I'm going to be pulling a decommissioned boat towards the reef, I'd like you to come." Knowing that it would be the first time that they've been seen together as a couple, and frankly he was tired of hiding their relationship from the fucking town.

Davy could feel her heart beating faster at his words, knowing that the moment they were seen officially together it would spread through the town like wildfire. "I'd like that." Yawning a bit, "But you know Betty is going to lose her mind." Snorting a bit, "She's going to be so disappointed that she didn't know first."

"Don't care, you're mine and it's time for the local single men to know to keep their hands off." While he trusted her, he hated the way some of the guys kept staring at her like she was fucking meat.

Keeping her eyes closed, Davy couldn't help but smile, "I guess all I needed was a giant covered in tattoos to keep other men away." Feeling herself being pulled under, her last thought before sleep took her was how happy she was, not only with herself but with Arthur, he made her feel beautiful.

Chuckling a bit at her words, Arthur could feel the moment she drifted off, closing his eyes he used his fingers to gently twirl her hair. "I'm the only giant with tattoos you'll ever need, baby." He muttered to her.

"You ever see anything like it?" Placing her hand on Davy's shoulder, Betty let her eyes take in the old ship.

Davy looked up at her friend, "Once, when my dad took me to Honolulu we went to the Pearl Harbor Memorial." Looking up at the old warship, Davy didn't understand how the hell Arthur was going to move the damn thing, from what she could see there wasn't even a tugboat attached to it. "How does it get offshore?" she asked her. Because it was her understanding that every fluid was drained and anything that was deemed harmful to the waters removed.

Smirking down at her, Betty pointed to the man walking up towards them, "Oh sweetheart you're in for a show." Leaning down closer to her ear, "He's going to pull it." Unable to stop herself from licking her lips, she knew him from the time he was a kid, but damn did he grow into a fine-looking man.

Feeling her eyebrow hit her hairline, Davy stared at him, and by that cocky grin on his face she swore he heard Betty. Letting out a calming breath, Davy watched as he walked past most of the town with nothing on but a pair of old jeans. Never taking her eyes off him, she waited until he stopped in front of her, raising her eyebrows at him, "So, you can just pull a 100ft metal boat?" Almost snorting at her own question.

Arthur could feel Betty and the rest of the town watching them, smirking down he couldn't help but enjoy the fact that she was barely up to his chest. Sliding his fingers into her hair, he watched as her eyes started to shimmer with excitement, "No baby, I can pull a 300ft ship." Chuckling as her eyes went wide.

Looking over towards Betty he could see the wheels turning in her head, as much as he liked her, Arthur hated that by morning the entire town would be made aware of their relationship with probably a few extra details included. Rolling his eyes, he looked over the older woman's shoulder happy to find his parents making their way over and to his surprise her uncle, "Jakes coming?"

Turning to look over her shoulder Davy couldn't help but smile a bit, "Yeah, he kept asking about you, figured it was time." Looking up at him, happy to see he didn't look upset with her about it. "Is that OK?" she asked him.

Taking hold of her hand, Arthur made his way towards his family and hers, enjoying how Betty kept opening and closing her mouth like a fish. Stopping in front of them, he could see that Jake was sizing him up, while he wasn't anywhere near as tall as him, he wasn't a small man either. Extending his hand, he knew how much the man meant to her, because while he was still uncertain about her gifts, she always said he was the one that seemed to be the most at ease with her outside of her grandma.

"Arthur Curry."

Jake looked at the Aquaman, seeing him a few times when he went to the bar, but he was never this close. Giving him a quick once over, he was freaking huge, covered in tattoos and just by the way he stood protectively in front of his niece he knew that he cared for her. Smirking a bit, John was going to have a hard time trying to intimidate him and perhaps that was a good thing, Davy didn't need a weak man.

"Jake Olsen." Inhaling a bit as he felt just a mere taste of the man's brute strength. Looking over at his niece, Jake could see that she was happy and that was enough for him. "Brat."

Snorting, Davy walked around Arthur and gave him a hug, "Rude." Kissing his cheek, Davy continued the introductions with Atlanna and Tom, thankful that her uncle seemed thus far OK with her new budding relationship.

Stepping to Arthur's side, she couldn't help but wonder when her dad finally came to visit, would he be as kind to Arthur as her uncle or would he be inclined to really disapprove of their relationship. Sighing, that was something for her to worry about another day, for now at least through the phone her dad didn't have much to say about it.

Jake watched as the man readied himself to jump into the damn near freezing water, "You sure you don't need a wetsuit, or something?"

Tying his hair up and out of his face, Arthur just shook his head, "Nope." Turning towards Davina, enjoying the excitement in her eyes, "Want to help?" he asked, his voice teasing.

Blushing a bit, "I'm good. Plus, I think we've given Betty enough to gossip about for the day, rather not give her more." Regardless of how much training she was doing with her gifts she wasn't ready for anyone outside of her small circle knowing about it.

Leaning down, Arthur gave her a swift kiss, "A little more wouldn't be too bad." Kissing her again, Arthur gave a wink to his mom, and a nod to his pop and her uncle. Turning on his heels, Arthur dove into the marina and swam towards the ship.

Jake stared down at his niece, smirking a bit at the light blush that danced across her cheeks, never once in his life had he seen that. Wrapping his arm around her shoulder, he leaned towards her ear, "I'm glad that he makes you happy kiddo."

Not taking her eyes off Arthur as she watched him pop up by the anchor chain, "He does, he really does." Feeling a warm hand in hers, Davy found Atlanna smiling down at her and it was in that exact moment she knew what it felt like to be loved like a daughter, and it was the second-best feeling in the world, the first was finally able to admit to herself that she had fallen in love with him.

Hearing a loud creaking noise, Davy turned her eyes towards the ship gasping at what she was seeing, "Seriously?"

Chuckling, Tom couldn't help but agree, even after knowing how strong he was it still was a sight to be able to witness it. Looking over at his wife Tom could see the pride rolling off her as the ship carved its way through the water, leaning in, "Didn't want to help him?" he teased.

Kissing his cheek, Atlanna smirked, "I did, but he wanted to show Davina that he was strong, he knows she still worries about her gifts." Shifting her eyes towards the end of the dock, smiling at the sight of Davina staring intently, "it seems that our son's plans is working."

Tom could feel relief in his body, since that bullshit with Mera he was worried that his son would have completely shut down and refuse to let another woman in. They were good for each other, she calmed him down, and it appeared that he gave her confidence to just be herself.

"You did good." He said, knowing that this idea was probably her idea and seeing her smirk told him that he wasn't wrong.

Davy could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she watched the ship settle in its future spot, looking over at the dock master, "When is it scheduled to sink?" she asked him.

Bobby never took his eyes off the ship, but he knew that most of the town was excited to see the explosion to sink the old warship. "The Navy is going to be coming by sometime tomorrow to rig the ship to blow and if the weather holds, the following morning."

Running her fingers through her hair Davy just nodded, "I'm sure that the entire town will be here for that." Glancing up as the snow started to fall, unless it was a blizzard the snow wasn't going to keep anyone from watching.

Pulling himself up onto the docks, Arthur went to look for her but found her standing less than 5ft from him with a towel. "You could just warm me up." He teased.

Snorting, Davy moved towards him placing the towel in his hands, "Well, only one of us should be the showoff," lightly touching his cheek, "I'm good with going unnoticed."

Moving quickly Arthur picked her up bridal style, chuckling as she whined about getting wet, "Woman, you don't go unnoticed, you've been driving these boys around here crazy the moment you stepped into Betty's." Placing a soft kiss on her lips, Arthur winked at his parents and gave a polite nod towards her uncle, "Now, they know you're not available for the foreseeable future."

"You're a caveman, you know this right?" Placing her head on his shoulder, Davy couldn't help but feel at peace, when Will pulled this bullshit with her in front of people she felt like a toy, but with Arthur, she felt that he treasured her.

Placing a kiss on her lips Arthur just smiled down at her, "For you, baby, only for you." And for the first time in his life, he truly meant that she was the only person that he would ever let see him all of him.

Jake watched as the man walked towards his truck with his niece tucked in his arms and while he never wanted to think of his niece as a woman, he was happy for her and no matter what his brother said he would support her.

Sighing, he found his parents watching him, giving them a smile, "He's got my support, but he hurts her, superhero or not, I'll beat his ass." Chuckling with them as they laughed, heading towards his truck, pleased that Davy found someone that understood what it was to be a little different.

Staring at his suit, David could feel the excitement filling his body, everything was finally in place, and all that was needed was to execute it. Staring at his laptop, chuckling at the man's bullshit little town, seems like they were all going to congregate on the docks to watch a boat sink. A sick smile spread across his face, that would be perfect, the people would be in one area, he would be driven to protect them at all costs and with his back-up plan there was no winning for that fucking fish.

Reaching into his pocket, David pulled out his wallet, frowning at the picture in his hand. "Pop, in less than two days I'm going to pay that bastard back for taking your life." Blinking away a small tear that was threatening to fall, he'd deal with his emotions later, now it was time to focus and make sure that he accounted for every possible outcome, and he was confident that at the end of the day Arthur was going to be dead or morning the loss of his fucking shit town.

Just knowing that there was no winning for him, David couldn't help but feel confident. He knew that there was a high probability that he was going to die tomorrow but knowing that the nearly immortal man was going to suffer because he couldn't save everyone, well that was fucking worth the risk.

Slamming his laptop shut, David made his way towards the bed, knowing that he needed some rest because the next 48hrs he was going to be busy. Laying down, it didn't take long for sleep to find him and the only thing that filled his dreams was the image of a dead fish.
