Naruto, Luffy(While holding Nami), Sakura, and Sanji glared a the Laphins. Luffy heard a mumbling noise.
"Hurry..." It was Nami... "Ala...Ba..."
"Just rest, never mind that." Luffy murmured, his heart racing as she moved closer to him. He felt puzzled by it all. Sakura sadly smiled at the sight.
"She cares about Vivi's situation more than herself." She stated. "It's actually sweet of her." She then confronts the giant rabbits while cracking her knuckles. Naruto joined her to pound his fist and Sanji puffs out a smoke and smirked.
"Let's get going we have to make our way to the castle where the doctor lives."
"Right..." Sakura agreed. She turns her head to Luffy. "Luffy, we don't want you fighting these guys." Luffy was taken aback by what Sakura said as the Lapins were approaching them.
"Why not?" He questioned.
"Because..." Sanji cuts in. "Nami will be able to feel your every move."
"Sanji for once is right, Luffy." Naruto stated. "She's too sick to handle something like that... she could die!" Hearing that made Luffy gasp in surprise.
"What?" The Lapin leader slashed at Luffy with its claws. Luffy swiftly ducked, keeping a grip on Nami. "What should I do?"
"Just dodge!"Sanji said while he ducked under one Lapin, with another one right behind it. Naruto took one out with a swift kick. Sakura effortlessly sidestepped one of them, while Naruto rolled out of the way just in time and then caught up with Sanji, who noticed a massive Lapin heading his way. Without missing a beat, Sanji glared at the Lapin and delivered a powerful kick to its Lapin t went flying back, landing with a thud in a heap of snow.
"Damn this snow" Sanji complained. "I can't keep my footing to land a solid kick!" Naruto, Sanji. Sakura and Luffy, with Nami still in Luffy's arms, suddenly find themselves encircled by a group of Lapins. The creatures' ears flicked as they sprang into the air, aiming straight for our heroes.
"They're attacking all at Once!" Luffy exclaimed while his hat fell out of his head. Luckily Sanji caught it.
"Head for the forest, We'll cover you!" Sanji says. . "Keep going! We'll head for the mountain. We need to get rid of them somehow!" A Lapin makes his way to eat Luffy but Sakura and Naruto both kicked in unison. Luffy nods at them in gratitude and then notices a mountain.
"Hey, guys. We can go from here.." Both Naruto and Sakura looked over where he's pointing. Sanji nods at the Straw hat captain.
"Right, go on!" Luffy jumps onto a Laphin and uses it as a springboard, with Naruto, Sakura, and Sanji following suit. Naruto grinned mischievously and flipped the bird. Out of nowhere, the Laphins zoomed off the edge to chase him. Sakura gave his head a bop as they sprinted away.
"You moronic boyfriend! Why did you taunt them?"
"Sorry!" He pleaded. Sakura sighed while being chased. She holds her head in frustration asking herself...
"How could I allow myself to fall in love with this idiot?"
Vivi and Usopp were hanging around, waiting for Luffy, Naruto, and the gang to get back with the doctor to help Nami out. The snow was coming down harder now, and the wind was really starting to blow. Vivi bowed her head to pray.
"Nami... please be okay." Dalton stares at them.
"Tell me something... who are you guys?" Vivi and Usopp turned to him with confusion.
"Why do you ask that?" Usopp asked.
"A group with only nine people traveling the Grand Line in a ship without a doctor seems incredibly reckless." Dalton explained.
"In case you forgot, we're pirates. That's the reason you guys were pointing all those guns at us, remember? We may be a small group but with a brave warrior of the sea on board there's nothing to fear from anyone or anything. Even though we are very brave, we are looking for someone to be our ship's doctor. We we're hoping to find one here on this island. Of course, I wasn't expecting was that the doctor here was a witch living in a castle." Dalton looks back at the mountain then turns to Usopp.
"Well. she's all we have. . You certainly seem much different from the pirates that we're used to." Dalton said.
"Hello, Dalton!" They glance over and notice a woman walking towards them. Usopp is taken aback and exclaims, "Bow to the bear."
""I've heard you newcomers we're looking for Dr. Kureha."
"Yes but the woman's friends has taken her off to the mountain." Dalton explained.
"Oh, that's too bad because I heard the doctor's in Cocaweed right now..." The group just stood there, stunned and speechless at the sudden breaking news.
"SHE'S WHERE?!" They asked with a shout.
"SO, NAMI AND THE OTHERS HAVE ALREADY PASSED HER?!"
At a local hangout called "The Stool," a young boy was there, tears streaming down his face, much to the annoyance of the regulars. A man came over to him and said...
"Hey, Tamachibi, what's wrong? Are you hurt somewhere?" The boy just kept crying, ignoring the question, which only annoyed everyone else more. "You need to stop crying and tell me what's wrong!" He spoke to the boy who was bawling his eyes out. Meanwhile, outside, the townspeople were buzzing about an elderly woman with a face full of wrinkles and long white hair. She was dressed in a white shirt featuring a pink cherry blossom and green sleeves and trim, topped with a purple blazer accented by a yellow stripe along the shoulders and down the front. Her purple pants sported a pink design on the left leg, and she accessorized with bracelets and rings on her left hand, finishing off the look with black boots. She also had a tiny pair of sunglasses that she perched on her forehead when not in use, even while wearing her regular glasses. Accompanying her was a reindeer sporting a fancy top hat and walking on all fours. She gives a chuckle and pets the reindeer.
"Well, well, well...If a child is crying uncontrollably, chances are something is wrong, and he doesn't know what... Stay there for now, Chopper." The Reindeer known as Chopper nodded in agreement as the lady walks in. She then punches the door, surprising the others.
"It's you..." One gasped.
"Dr. Kureha.!" They all exclaimed.
"Anyone want my secret in staying young?"
"No, we're fine... thank you!"
"I can't believe she's 140 years old..." A customer said. Than the doctor tossed a fork at the wall nearby, making him gasp. The doctor then smirked at him.
"I'll have you know that I am 139." She corrected him. She then hears the little boy crying.
Shall I treat the boy?"
"Wait, what?! He's fine! He isn't sick or hurt or anything! Really!"The father and gave his son a hug. Dr. Kureha stood there with a smirk on her face.
"Oh, well then... excuse me... doctor" She added sarcastically, causing one of the customers to gasp. She spins around with her reindeer. "Let's go, Chopper."
"Wait, please come back!" The restaurant owner begged.
Usopp, Vivi, and Dalton hopped onto a sleigh pulled by rams, hoping to track down the doctor in Cocaweed.
"I'm sorry, this is my mistake." Usopp and Vivi blinked in confusion.
"I was aware that the doctor had come to town from the mountain in the last few days, but I assume that she left and wouldn't be back for quite some time."
"Don't worry about it. This isn't your fault." Usopp said to him.
"The problem here is how abnormally strong Luffy, Naruto, Sakura, and Sanji are. Even if we go up the mountain and after them, there's no way we'd be able to catch up to them. If we are able to find the witch in this Cocoa Weed place, we just need to tell her to get back up the mountain as quickly as she possibly can."
"You're right. We have no other choice." Vivi agreed.
"... forgive us." Dalton said making Usopp and Vivi confused. "Forgive this land for not having more doctors."
"Don't say that." Vivi said. "This isn't something you need to apologize for, Dalton."
"She's right about that." Usopp exclaimed as Dalton urged the rams to pick up speed by snapping the reins.
At the bar, Dr. Kureha was checking out the young boy. She placed him on the table while placing the medical kit next to her.
"M...my hands. They hurt." He cried.
"Your hands?" Asked the doctor. "All right... how's this?" She rested her hand on his knee and gave it a shove, making the boy cry out in pain. "You see? Now you forgotten all about your hands hurting."
"WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!" The boy's father demanded.
"Are you happy? You happy? Good." The doctor said. "Now stay nice and quiet and you should calm down." She told his father while adjusting her glasses.
I only touched his leg and I did it very lightly."
"I heard a terrible noise." The father said as Dr. Kureha then removed the boy's pants, spotting the swelling on his legs.
"He has pain in his hands and legs. He doesn't have a fever, the swollen here on his leg is from a purulent inflammation and it doesn't look good. By now, the bone is surely infected. Chopper, bring me some antibiotics." The reindeer nodded and makes his way to the retrieve set item.
"Um... doctor. Is he all right?" The boy's father asked.
"The key to curing this disease is treating it before it can get too strong. Don't worry, he'll live." Dr. Kureha informed him while spinning the scalpel in her hand. "However, he did almost die."
"WHAT?! ALMOST DIED!?" The boy's father shouted.
"We're gonna do a little operation, okay?" She said while the customers squicked in disgust.
"Wait! Aren't you gonna use any anesthesia?!"
"This is the anesthesia." Dr. Kureha commented. Chopper nudged the boy's head with his own.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" The father screamed. The doctor ignored him and sets the boy on the couch.
"Now see how easy that was?" She asked while putting up her medical supplies in her. The father and customers were stunned to see the boy resting like he has never been hurt.
That's it for the treatment, where the part you need me for anyway. The rest is up to you. Just make sure he rests and keep his legs tightly bandaged. Once their bandaged, keep them iced down, do you understand?"
"Yes." He said while wrapping up bandages on his son.
"Now about my fee, I'm all out of trash bags and toilet paper. So, I'm taking all of those that you have along with all your food and plum wine. And addition to that, I'll be taking 50% of this restaurants assets." The man gasped after hearing that. ""Chopper, take it all to the sleigh."
"This is outrageous! You can't take half my assets!" The people protested against the doctors demands. They think she was very demanding of her requests.
"YOU AREN'T A REAL DOCTOR AT ALL! YOU'RE JUST A WITCH!" Chopper growled at what they called his master and was about to attack them but Kureha stopped him.
"It's alright, Chopper, they're just a bunch of blabbering children." She assured him.
"Old lady." They all turned to the boy calling out to her. "The pain, it's all better now. Thanks so much." The doctor smiled that once again, she did her job right.
"Well, it looks like your son just gave me a nice tip." Dr. Kureha muttered with a small smile. "So, I'll reduce my fee to 49%."
"I'll pay your price. Thank you." The father said. The doctor and reindeer left the restaurant.
"Oh, yeah.. hey kid." The boy turned to her. ""This happiness you feel, don't you ever forget it." The boy grinned watching her head off with the reindeer.
Naruto and Luffy, with Nami in his arms, along with Sakura and Sanji, sense they're nearing the peak of the mountain.
"They coming?" Luffy asked in reference to the Laphins. Sanji looks around and sees no sight of the Laphins.
"No... I don't see them." He that made Naruto let out a sigh of relief as he wiped the sweat from his brow.
"Good, we lose those bastards." Sakura whipped her head around and gasped. She grabbed Naruto's face and turned it towards her. His eyes went wide and his jaw hit the ground.
"THESE ASSHOLES NEVER GIVE UP!" They hop their way towards Naruto and the others.
"Why're they jumping up and down?" Luffy inquired. Sakura and Sanji squinted as they recognized something they had seen before. Sakura gasped loudly. Naruto turns to her.
"Sakura, what's wrong?" She said nothing. Neither did Sanji who dropped his cigarette.
Vivi and Usopp were getting closer to Cocaweed village. They are getting close to the doctor and hopefully meeting Luffy, Naruto and the others there. Usopp turned to the village leader.
"Dalton..." He began. "You haven't told us who you are, yet. You don't seem like an ordinary villager, and with the way you're speaking, it makes me think you're a military officer." Dalton grunted. He knows he has no choice but to tell the truth about his past.
"You're correct, I did serve this country..." He confessed and looked down. "...Under a fromer tyrant, Wapol." Vivi and Usopp were shocked when they heard that name. They continued to listen to Dalton's story.
"I became the Captain of this countries Security Guard long ago during the time that Wapol and Musshuru's father ruled here. However, the time came when the King died and the ruler has been handed down to his son, Wapol. I thought he'd handed the rule down to Musshuru due to him being the eldest son, but he couldn't even care for the rule or the people. So, it's been passed down to Wapol. When that happened, this country changed."
He goes on to explain why there's just one doctor on the island. Apparently, Wapol decided to create a law to kick out all the country's doctors and making sure there are only 20 doctors stuck in the castle.
"Wow.." Usopp said."So, from then on, anyone who got sick or worse had no choice, but to throw themselves on Wapol's mercy and hope for the 20 MDs would treat them." Shanise summarize with a scowl.
"Yes and pay the excessive medical fees." Vivi's eyes were on fire with anger after hearing that tale. One thing she can't stand is self-centered leaders who only look out for their own interests and disregard their people. She wishes more people were like her father and not Wapol.
"That's not ruling! What sort of king would do that?! That's tyranny!" She exclaimed. She didn't notice Dalton eying her suspiciously.
"It's just as I thought... there could be no mistaking now..." What they didn't know was that Dr. Kuehera and Chopper were cruising back toward the mountain on the opposite side. Then, something caught her attention. It was Zoro, looking all cold and shivery.
"AH! Dammit! I got carried away and swam for too long!" Zoro cursed, looking around the snowy area. "Oh, where am I now? And where's the ship? This is great, I'm no way of telling where I am with all this snow everywhere!" Suddenly, something caught his eye in front of him... It was a reindeer carrying a sleigh that's holding an older woman. He gasped with relief.
"I'm saved!" He approaches the sleigh. Hey, old lady, sorry to bother you, but do you think you can drop me off at the village nearby or something?" He then is surprised to see her attire. "Whoa! What are you doing dress like that in this weather? I've seen some weird old ladies in my day, but...but you...you're..." She waved him over with a little beckoning gesture of her finger.
"Careful how you talk to me... little boy!" She then punches Zoro out flying. "And 139 years old, I'm still young and strong. Let's go, Chopper, that boy is clearly some kind of freak. Let's go, Chopper, that boy is clearly some kind of freak." The reindeer and his master moves away and leaves Zoro in the snow.
"COME BACK HERE!" Zoro demands. He could still feel that woman's punch. He then covered himself again.
"I'll freeze to death before long! Alright, I guess for now I'll do some strength training to get myself warmed up a bit."
Wapol chuckles after he and his gang took out a few of the villagers. He just finished killing one of the soldiers trying to fight them off.
"Hah! We're they trying to be a real military?" The jester Chess mocked. Kuromanio shook his head after punching them with his boxing gloves
"Bunch of idiots and amateurs. What we're they thinking, shooting at us like that." Wapol changed his expression from a a evil grin into a frown then he raise his arm.
"Oh my dear Drum Island, your towering majesty has grown even more beautiful in my absence. Chess, is the castle alright?" He asked while Chess looked through Binoculars.
"Yes, it looks just as good as when we left it." He stated.
"Ha-Ha-Ha!" Wapol laughed while riding his walkie Robson. "I'm done being a pirate. Hah! I'm gonna be king again. Onward, Robson!"
As his crew moved on, Robson decided to hang back, refusing to move
"Huh? Robson, move! Why are you just standing there?!" Waopol demanded. He then smacks his back. "Hey, Get moving already!"
"WAPOL!" One of his men approached him with his weapon. "We have a problem!"
"What?" His solider pointed ahead to the Going Merry. "Not them! What are the Straw Hat pirates doing in my country?! How dare they come here and pretend to not even know about it?! Does he not even care?! I had a very painful recovery!" He then points to one of his men. "You... Go Kill those pirates Immediately!"
"Um, actually, the ship is empty, sir."
"Empty?" Wapol growled.
"We don't know where they went." He stated
"You want to be executed?!" Wapol asked. The man lower his head in shame so Chess and Kuromaino came to his defense.
"Our apologies, Wapol, please forgive him." .
"This man is just a useless subordinate." Kuromarimo adds in.
"Chess! Kuromarimo!" Wapol called his two head lackeys.
"We took the liberty of inspecting the footprints that led away from the ship and we have some information." Chess explains.
"Indeed. It looks as if the footprints were heading toward Bighorn." Hearing that put a grin on Wapol's face.
"Very good. That was absolutely brilliant. "In that case, we're heading on to Bighorn. We'll stop there to fire a salute to the restoration of Drum Kingdom!" He ordered. The Wapol pirates make their way to Bighorn unknowingly that one of the survivors is heading back to town.
"WHAT?" Usopp cried as he entered the pub that the doctor entered. "You mean the witch left this town just a few moments ago?" Usopp questions. "Oh, you've gotta be kidding me! This is ridiculous!"
"She left after she made my sickness all better." The little boy said to Vivi who turned to Dalton who frowned.
If you're looking for the doctor, she's already left."
"We have to find her..." Dalton stated. "Can you tell us where she is headed?"
"I think I know." A man said. "I heard from somebody else that she was heading for Gyasta."
"Gyasta?"
"Where's that?" Usopp asked Dalton.
"If we're going to Gyasta from Bighorn, we go at the opposite direction that we went to come here." Dalton explains.
"Oh great, we already past her?!" Usopp exclaims.
"Ice-skating is very popular there." Dalton stated.
"What does that have to do anything?!" Usopp shouts, complaining.
"Calm down, Usopp." Vivi said. "We need to get going to that town. At this point, we really don't have any time to lose."
"Yeah, your right." Usopp agreed. He then hears a groaning sound. He turns around to see a man all wounded up.
"Dalton! I found you at last." He then was about to collaspe. Dalton gasped and caught him before he could hit the ground.
"What's the matter?! I can tell that you were badly injured! Tell me, what went wrong?!" Dalton asked.
"Every watchmen except for me...they've all been killed, Dalton..."
"What?!" Dalton exclaims.
"This thing...this submarine sailboat, it came out of nowhere...Then they'd attacked us...They killed every one of the watchmen...We couldn't stop them..."
"Who are they? I don't understand! Please explain!" Dalton stated.
"It was Wapol! Wapol and his men...They came back!" He declared. Dalton said nothing. Instead he sets him down.
"Hey wait!" Usopp cried. Dalton grabbed his weapon and left the Restaurant. He gets on a horse and makes his way to the mountain.
"I'm going to settle this once and for all! However, I don't know if it can really be called justice. I maybe just as guilty as you are, but you're the one who will be punished!" He started transforming into a bison and leaves his horse and continues his journey to Bighorn.
"Just wait! I"m coming for you, Wapol!"
Naruto, Sakura, Luffy and Sanji watch the Lapins approaching them. Sanji dropped his cigarette.
"Those damn bunnies. Great, they've done it now. This isn't good." He said, voice wavering.
"Wait, what are you talking about? And what are the bunnies doing?" Luffy asked.
"I know... and we better run!" Naruto said as he walks backwards slowly.
"Why, Naruto?" Asked the straw hat captain.
"Because..." Sakura gulped. "There's gonna be an Avalanche!"
Usopp: Where's the doctor? Where is she?
Naruto: Guys, Those stupid rabbits are getting closer!
Vivi: I wonder if Dalton is all right.
Luffy:On the next Shiniboi X Strawhat... Dalton's resolve... Wapol corps on the Island! I'm gonna be King of the pirates!
Naruto: And I am gonna be Hokage!
Sorry I took so long. I was playing games. Just finished One Piece Odysseey. Very underrated. But I hope you love this chapter. We just met our favorite racoon dog.

Sorry. Anyway... the phrase where Sakura said "How could I allow myself to fall in love with an idiot?" was based on a meme. where we see a character asking how did he or she fall for a moron and that applies to both Sakura and Nami here.
