Yep I know this is super late! XD
"Trick or treat!" Wendy said joyfully as she held out her candy bucket.
"Oh my! Aren't you just precious?" smiled the old lady as she dropped a handful of candies into the orange pumpkin pail.
"Thank you!" beamed Wendy before running back to Irene.
"Look mommy!" exclaimed the little dragon slayer as she held up her bucket.
"How yummy! Such delicious sweets!"
Wendy happily nodded.
"Where's Erza, Natsu and Happy?"
"Oh those two went home already. The tree claimed to be tired."
The little girl giggled. "Well I'm not tired! I'm a big girl!" Wendy proudly proclaimed as she puffed out her chest.
Irene smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Oh really?"
"Yep!"
Interesting...
"Ok then!" clapped Irene. "You see that house over there?"
The mother pointed to the distance. On a hill, stood a dark mansion. The gates were old and creaky, the windows dusty and bleak. The front was desolate. Tall dead trees surrounded the front yard. Basically, your stereotypical haunted house.
The little girl looked up at her mom.
"If you knock on that door, I will buy you whatever new toy you want."
Wendy gulped. "Whatever I want?"
"Yep!"
The little girl held her bucket to her chest as she gave the enticing offer some thought.
5 minutes later
"Yeah...no thanks. I'm going home."
Wendy turned on her heel and began walking away.
Irene laughed. "Oh well! Maybe next year."
