Wendy was on her first ever quest! A normal D-rank mission perfect for a little girl like her.

All she had to do was deliver some fruit to one of the store's customers who lived a street over.

Wendy hummed the ABCs as she skipped along the stone road, her small baby blue pack bounced with each step.

Irene was watching from a distance. As much as she wanted to be with Wendy, her precious little baby needed to complete this quest on her own.

It was the first crucial stepping stone in Wendy's journey to becoming an Enchantress and Dragon Slayer.

"What was her job again?" asked Sting who was chugging a soda can.

"It's a delivery quest." Erza said as she ate her parfait.

It turns out Irene had dragged the whole family along. Though it wasn't easy hiding in plain sight when her current family consisted of four talking cats, two kids, and three other adults. They were getting a lot of stares.

"What suspicious looking people!" a woman from a group of moms commented. "They are watching that cute little girl like perverts! I'm getting the police!"

Irene hissed and bared her fangs at the moms who were ruining her moment. The women screamed bloody murder and ran away, hauling their strollers.

Sting, Lector, and Gajeel laughed as that side of their mom would never get boring.

"I remember my first quest." Natsu smiled as he fondly remembered. He rubbed his chin. "I was-"

"Shh!" Irene snapped as her eyes trained on Wendy who had arrived at the customer's doorstep.

Wendy rang the doorbell and an old lady answered the door.

"Delivery!" Wendy squeaked as she flashed her best smile.

"What an adorable child!" the old woman said with a smile.

Wendy received the payment and she gave the old woman her box of fruit.

"Thank you!" Wendy beamed as she started to make her way back.

Suddenly out from the bushes, Irene ran and picked up Wendy. She had tears of joy as she planted multiple kisses along Wendy's face.

"Well so much for hiding." shrugged Sting as the rest of the family exited the bushes.

They all congratulated Wendy for technically completing her first quest.

Wendy smiled but her little hand scratched her head in confusion.

"Why were you watching me while hiding in the bushes? That's weird."

Irene laughed and changed the subject as they returned to the shop.

Afterwards, they returned to the guild where a party was held for Wendy's first successful mission.

It was a good day.
