Chapter 48

The Brains and Shark Fall

Everyone was frozen dead in in their tracks. Even Jura and Brain who were locked in their battle stopped to see what was going on. Gray along with Natsu who was still lying on the ground couldn't stop staring at the man in front of them that was Willy with shock not believing who they were seeing. Jura then went over to Gray and Lucy.

"Is something the matter Sir Gray?" he asked. "You appear to be-"

Then he saw Willy's face and his eyes widened.

"Impossible! It can't be!" he murmured. "That's Willy Falconer!"

"Hold on a sec, you know this guy too?" asked Lucy.

"Yes. I have," said Jura. "I can well remember that face. Makarov showed me a photo a couple of years ago. He told me that he was searching for that boy who had mysteriously disappeared from Magnolia six years ago."

Lucy then remembered. "That's right. Erza mentioned something about that," she said. "But is that honestly him? I mean maybe it's a look alike?"

"No. It's Willy alright," said Gray. "Without a doubt. I know it's been six years since I last saw him, but that's him."

Brain then walked over to Willy with an amused expression on his face until he stood next to him. "Oh? It would seem that you are acquainted with my bodyguard," he said

Gray glared at Brain. "You bastard!" he snarled. "Why is Willy with you and what the hell did you do to him?!"

Brain smiled darkly. "I thought it would have been obvious," he said coolly. "I came across this boy and made him my bodyguard. After all, this boy possesses incredible amounts of magic power due to being a dragon slayer, not to mention a fascinating ability. I even was able to witness the full extent of his powers first hand. Once I saw them, I had to make this boy mine. So, I arranged to have him transferred to my facility, so I could tweak him a bit to my liking."

"Then it was you," growled Gray. "You were the one who kidnapped Willy!"

"Kidnap? I prefer the term recruited for my cause," said Brain chuckling.

"So, you're not only targeting Cait Shelter, but you're responsible for his disappearance and made him your puppet," said Jura glaring dangerously at Brain. "You are a despicable man Brain."

Brain smirked. "Like I care what you think," he said. Then he turned towards Willy. "Shark. Now that they know who you are, we cannot afford to leave them alive. Take the ice wizard and celestial wizard while I finish Wizard Saint."

"Understood Master," said Willy as he slowly began walking towards his prey.

"Willy! Listen to me! You gotta snap out of it man!" yelled Gray. "We're not your enemy!"

"It's no use," said Brain. "No matter how hard you try to reason with him, Shark only obeys me."

Willy's fists were once more cloaked with the oil-colored water as he walked towards Gray and the others.

"What should we do now?" asked Lucy worriedly looking at Gray. "I don't know if it's a good idea to fight a friend like this."

"We have no choice in the matter," said Jura. "If we plan to defeat our foes, we must fight until they are defeated. Even though one of the enemies was once our ally"

Gray felt his heart leap from hearing that. He didn't want to hurt Willy now that was revealed to be Shark. He had been wanting to see Willy again after all this time, but not under these circumstances. However, he did know that Jura was right. Brain and Willy had to be defeated. If they didn't Nirvana would soon reach Cait Shelter and who knows what else could happen. And to prevent that, Gray had to steel his heart and stop Willy.

"Hey, Old Man," said Gray. "You take care of Brain for me OK? I'll handle Willy."

"Are you sure about this Gray?" asked Lucy worriedly. "You're going to be fighting against a friend."

"I don't think have a choice," said the ice wizard. "Besides, Pops said it himself. We need to focus on defeating Brain right now. Willy may be a friend, but right now he's still our enemy."

"Very well then," said Jura. "But be careful Sir Gray. He might eat your ice to regain his power again if you're not careful."

"Don't worry Pops. I won't fall for the same thing twice," said Gray. "This time, I'll beat Willy and save him too."

He then turned towards Willy and started walking toward him too ready to fight him once again.

"I'm sorry, Willy," he thought to himself. "I know that it's not your fault that you're like this, but I gotta take you down and hopefully get you to snap out of it."

Willy and Gray slowly walked towards each other and then the two sped up running straight towards each other until they collided with their fists and resumed their battle.

As for Jura, he glared at Brain even harder. "Since those two are preoccupied with each other, I suppose we'll resume our fight," he said. "Release that boy from your hold and explain why you're targeting Cait Shelter and I will let you go without harming you."

"Now you're trying to reason now? Don't make me laugh," said Brain with a maniac and scornful grin. "Besides, now that I've found Nirvana and I have a powerful mage like Shark, I have no intention of giving him up. Now begone!"

He raised his staff and prepared to unleash another attack.

"Please stand back, Miss," Jura said to Lucy. "You'll only get in the way here."

"No need to tell me twice!" squeaked Lucy as she out of the way.

Brain then unleashed his attack resuming the battle between him and Jura. "DARK CAPRICCIO!"

The same spiral blast of dark magic came shooting towards Jura, as he retaliated by bending the rock towards the attack making it collide with it with a mighty boom.

Gray and Willy were going at each other using their fists and legs to punch and kick. Gray threw a punch aiming for his face, but Willy blocked the blow by raising his forearm. He then gave a sharp kick, but Gray ducked out the way making the kick go right by his head. Gray fought hard as best he could, but Willy had the upper hand when it came to close combat. Gray threw a punch, but Willy managed to side-step the blow and punched him right in his abs causing him to gasp in pain. Then Willy gave Gray an uppercut right on his chin and a kick to his gut again sending him flying, but Gray braced his feet on the ground and was able to stop himself from skidding. He then took his stance and then unleashed a spell.

"ICE MAKE: BATTLE AXE!"

He created an ax made from ice and swung it straight at Willy. Willy immediately jumped up and then cloaked his leg with his water and slammed it on Gray's ice ax shattering it to a million pieces. He then kicked again aiming for Gray's face, but Gray bent backward and flipped dodging the attack. Then he attacked with another spell.

"ICE MAKE: CANON!"

He created a bazooka-like hand-held cannon of which he aimed and fired a cannonball of ice right at Willy. Willy then created a pair of shurikens made of water and flung it at the cannonball of ice. The shuriken zipped through towards the cannonball, and when it made contact, it sliced the cannonball in half and exploded with a boom. An icy mist blinded Gray's vision making him unable to see in front of him.

"Damn it! I can't see," he grumbled.

Then the mist cleared and then Willy shot straight towards Gray his hands cloaked with black water. Gray immediately fired another spell.

"ICE MAKE: LANCE!"

Gray once again fired a wave of ice lances towards Willy, but using his hands, Willy punched once lance after another shattering it and avoiding damage as he kept on coming towards Gray. He then jumped into the air making streams of water gushed out from his hands and hurled them making a shock wave of water. Gray immediately went on the defensive.

"ICE MAKE: SHIELD!"

Entering his stance and waving his hands, Gray once more created a shield of ice protecting him from the waves of water. Seeing that his attack was blocked, Willy chuffed out his cheeks and prepared to unleash his breath attack.

"Look out Gray!" cried Lucy. "He's gonna blast you again!"

"I told you!" said Gray. "I ain't falling for the same attack twice! ICE MAKE: KITE!"

He jumped out from behind his shield and then made a kite made of ice and stood on it flying through the air. Willy then stopped and then spread his black water wings and took off flying after Gray. Then he unleashed his breath attack aiming right for Gray, but Gray using his kite dipped down and dodged the blast. He landed back on the ground and then used another spell in an attempt to shoot down Willy from the sky.

"ICE MAKE: ARROWS!"

Using his ice bow, Gray fired a barrage of ice arrows once again. Willy flew across the sky dodging them as they shot at him. Then a couple of the arrows hit one of his wings causing him to fall towards the ground below. As he fell, Willy then conjured another pair of water shurikens and threw them. The stars pierced Gray's kite making it shatter sending Gray falling to the ground, but managing to land on his feet saving himself from harm. Then the two of them landed on the ground gazing at each other. Gray wiped his dust off his cheek panting from exhaustion while Willy stood there staring with his emotionless and green eyes.

"Man... I knew Willy was going to be tough to beat," Gray thought. "But I never would have guessed that he would be this tough. He's countering all of my moves every time I try to hit him. To make things worse, I'm still feeling weak from fighting that Racer guy and from getting ambushed by Shelly. I can't even keep up. I got to put an end to this. Otherwise, I'm gonna lose."

Then Willy came shooting straight towards Gray once again wielding his water blades. Gray barely had time to dodge as Willy swung his blades. Willy kept the pressure on by relentlessly attacking, but Gray kept on dodging. Then Willy dispersed his blades and went on using his fists and legs to attack. Gray tried his best to block the blows, but Willy was far too quick as he managed to hit him on the legs causing Gray to stumble. Seizing his chance for an opening, Willy cloaked his fist with water and punched him square in the gut hard knocking the wind out him making him cough out a glob of spit and then decked him square in his jaw sending Gray flying upwards before landing on the ground with a thud.

Gray sensing that he was wide open for an attack was about to get up, but as he did, he found himself looking up in time to see Willy summon a water sword and swung it downwards aiming to cut Gray open. But then a familiar voice cried out.

"OPEN, GATE OF THE MAIDEN, VIRGO!"

At that moment, a sky blue magic circle appeared between Willy and Gray and something erupted from the ground shooting high into the air. Willy sensing danger immediately jumped out of the way in the nick of time as a young woman landed on the ground. She was young, had short pink hair, had sharp yet somewhat vacant blue eyes, and wore a typical black and white maid outfit with metal shackles on her wrists.

"You summoned me, Princess?" the woman spoke politely. "Do you wish to punish me?"

Gray then looked up as Lucy ran up beside the man causing him to immediately be cross with her. "Lucy! I thought I told you to stay out of it!" he snapped.

"Come on, Gray! The least you could do is thank me for saving you! Besides, you know as well as I do that this guy's not something that you can take on all by yourself which is why we need to fight him together!" Lucy snapped back. "I mean look at him; he's a dragon slayer that's been brainwashed, rinsed, and dried, and he's clearly on a different level than Natsu is. If you fought him alone, there's no way he could beat him, but if we work together maybe we have a chance. I'm not just gonna stand by while you risk your life! I wanna help save Willy too! So whether you like it or not, I'm fighting too!"

"But are you sure you got enough magic to fight back?" Gray asked. "I mean this guy's not like Natsu or Gajeel. Not to mention we're both running low on magic power at this point. If we're not careful, you could die."

"Don't worry about that. I know I'm not much of a fighter compared to you or Natsu," said Lucy. "But the least me and my spirits can do for you is give you support." She then looked at the maid. "Virgo, I want you to back up Gray, but try not to hurt Willy too badly. He's a friend."

"Understood, Princess," the maid spoke taking a polite bow. "I will do my best to make sure that he'll receive proper punishment."

"Will you quit with the that already?!" Lucy snapped. "You freak me out when you say things like that!"

Lucy then looked back and saw that Willy had summoned forth a pair of swords in his hands and was now dashing straight towards them.

"Look out! He's coming!" she cried.

At that moment, Virgo immediately shot forward and intercepted Willy by throwing her chains making them along with Willy swords collide with a mighty clang. Virgo then swung her chains around trying to land a hit and Willy using his swords parried them with ease. Lucy and Gray could only watch as Virgo fought Willy the two desperately trying to come up with some idea to defeat him.

"There's got to be some way to beat him," thought Lucy. "But the way things are right now, I don't know if there is anything we can do to beat him and Virgo won't last much longer given how much magic I've got left. If she goes down, I only have enough in me for one more summoning. Come on, Lucy! Think!"

Lucy thought, and she thought, trying to think of any possible way to defeat Willy, but she couldn't think of anything. Then she suddenly remembered something back when she was fighting in which then gave her an idea.

"Gray! Listen to me, I have an idea!" the celestial wizard said.

"What did you have in mind?" asked Gray.

"Something risky and a little crazy," said Lucy. "But I think we should be able to do it."

She then began telling Gray her idea and whispered it to him. When she finished telling him, Gray's eyes were wide with surprise.

"No way! Do you really think that would work?" he asked.

"I don't know, but it's worth a try," said Lucy. "But in order for us to do this, we really have to be in sync. You up for it?"

"Yeah. It's not like we have a choice," said Gray. "I'm not too thrilled about hurting Willy, but hopefully this plan of yours will work."

Back in the fight, Virgo was still trying her best to fend off Willy, but he was getting the upper hand on her managing to get a couple of shots here and there made her grow a little less tired. Then she heard Lucy.

"Virgo! I'm going to close your gate now! Pull back!"

Virgo jumped away just barely dodging an incoming fist from Willy as she landed just beside of Lucy concerned. "Are you sure, Princess?" the maid asked. "You and your friend are running low on magic."

"We'll be fine," insisted Lucy. "Just go and take a break for now."

"Your wish is my command, Princess," acknowledged Virgo. "Do be careful."

And with that, Virgo vanished from sight. Gray then went on the attack taking his stance.

"Alright then, Willy! I'd say it's time for round 2!" he yelled. "And because you specialize in swords, have a taste of my ICE MAKE DOUBLE SWORD!"

He then held out his hands as a pair of swords made of ice materialized in his hands. Then he shot forward and went on the attack swinging his blades. Willy saw him coming and countered with his own swords. Their swords collided with a mighty metallic clang as they locked against each other. The two gazed grimly at each other trying to over power each other with their strength alone. Then the two attacked each other swinging their swords at each other aiming for whatever body limb they could hack.

Lucy however took a look at her surroundings and looked for something important. Then she saw it. A few feet away from her to her right was a large puddle. She immediately went over to it and took out one of her golden keys dipping it in the water.

"I know this is a long shot, and I may get chewed out for this, but I have to try!" she thought to herself. "This might not be able to beat Willy, but we can at least try to get one good hit!"

"NOW OPEN, GATE OF THE WATER BEARER, AQUARIUS!" she yelled.

In a burst of light as well as a torrent of water, Aquarius appeared and like she always was with Lucy, she was not rather pleased about being summoned.

"You got some nerve summoning me in the middle of my date!" the mermaid snapped scowling. "You better have a good reason for summoning me, you blonde bimbo!"

Lucy was a bit intimidated as well as frightened her spirit's angry temper, but she knew that she had to be firm with her. Even though she knew that she would get chewed out by it.

"Look, I know that you didn't want me to summon you, but I need your help, Aquarius!" Lucy said. "I know that you hate me and wanna probably blast me with water, but please! Listen to what I have to say!"

Aquarius clicked her tongue in annoyance, but she could see that Lucy was desperate. "Alright. Fine. I'll hear you out," she sighed reluctantly. "But this better be good!"

"Trust me. It is," said Lucy. "And it's something only you can do, Aquarius. But it won't unless you're willing to listen to me. Okay?"

"Fine. Fine. Just tell me what it is you want!" snapped Aquarius. "I ain't got all day!"

Back in the fight with Willy and Gray, the two were still in an all-out battle of the swords. As expected, Willy had the upper hand landing a couple of hits on Gray nicking the Ice Mage's skin here and there. Gray knew that he didn't really stand a chance in a sword fight especially since this was Willy's specialty, but he kept on fighting. He wasn't sure if Lucy's plan would work, but if it meant saving his friend, he would fight till his very last breath.

Then as he swung with his blade again, Willy jumped up into the air and converted his swords into shuriken and threw them at the ice mage. Gray looked up in time to see them and deflected them with both of his swords and then threw them at him. Willy cloaked his fists with water and with a single punch shattered the ice swords into a million pieces.

"Well, that didn't work!" growled Gray as he jumped into the air. "Let's see you try this! ICE MAKE PRISON!"

He put his hands together and made a large cage appear from the air imprisoning Willy inside as it crashed to the ground.

"Did I get him?" Gray wondered as he landed safely back to the ground.

His answer came sooner than expected as his Ice Make Prison immediately fell apart and Willy leaped out from it his right hand straightened and cloaked in his polluted water formed in the shape of a blade. Gray clicked his tongue a bit annoyed that his spell didn't work.

"I guess not."

Willy shot towards Gray and then swung his fist in a punch forcing Gray to go on the defensive by ducking, however Willy countered by giving Gray a sharp kick to kick stomach knocking the wind out of him. He then followed up with a right cross and a left hook and finished with a powerful kick sending Gray flying and hitting the ground lying flat on his back. Seeing this as a chance to finish him off, Willy pounced cloaking his fists in water and prepared to finish off Gray with a double fist slam. Gray opened his eyes to see Willy dive-bombing straight at him.

Then suddenly just as Willy was swinging his fists about to slam them into Gray, the water in his hands suddenly was sucked away from him exposing his fists making his eyes twitch a little in surprise even though he was being controlled. Seizing his chance, Gray rolled out of the way just as Willy landed on the ground and then landed a strong right punch to his cheek making the boy stagger. Willy attacked again cloaking his leg with water and going for a kick, but once again, the water was suddenly sucked away as Gray managed to block the kick by crossing his arms and countered with a left punch.

As Willy was sent skidding backwards, Gray kept up the pressure by attacking him with punch after punch. Willy tried to counter the blows with his magic, but every time he tried to, the water was taken away from him enabling Gray to counter him again and again. Now Willy may have been a mindless puppet, but even he felt a little confused as to how this was happening.

Then he took notice of Lucy who was standing with Aquarius a few feet away. The mermaid was hoping up her urn and had it aimed directly for him. Thinking that she was going to attack, Willy leaped into the air blasting streams of water from his hands and flung them at the two. At that moment, his attack was sucked inside of Aquarius' urn. As he landed back on the ground, Willy tried again conjuring a pair of shuriken and threw them, but once again, the attack was sucked up by the urn.

"Nice try, but water's my element, you copycat!" Aquarius snapped.

"Way to go, Aquarius!" cheered Lucy. "Keep it up!"

Willy then shot towards Lucy and Aquarius trying to attack again cloaking his fist with water, but like before Aquarius using her urn drew the water towards her. This time, Gray intercepted the water punching it with his fist and freezing it immediately. He then punched Willy square on the chin with an uppercut using his frozen fist. Willy was sent backwards hitting the ground on his back, but flipped back onto his feet not out from the fight just yet. This went on and on for a few minutes. Until Willy was beginning to pant from exhaustion battered and bruised a little.

"Come on! Why isn't he down yet?!" complained Aquarius. "I'm about ready to blast this guy away already!"

"Not just yet, Aquarius!" Lucy spoke. "Just a little bit more!"

"He's finally starting to run out of steam," said Gray. "Just a little bit more!"

Willy was now showing some emotion as he glared in anger appearing not to understand why his attacks weren't working. . He then let out a loud scream as his magic power flared. He chuffed his cheeks as he took aim preparing to unleash a breath attack. Then with a loud yell, he unleashed a powerful stream of black and blue water at the three.

"Here it comes!" yelled Gray.

The stream of water was huge and was a powerful blast, but like all the other water attacks, Aquarius sucking in the attack with ease using her urn. Then she let out a shriek of anger and rage.

"I've had enough of this!" the mermaid yelled. "I've got somewhere to be, and I'm getting sick and tired of this!"

She then took her urn and swung it around unleashing all the contents of the water inside of it making a giant tornado of water which towered over everyone throughout the area. Everyone gawked at the giant wave in horror and shock as it prepared to crash down on them except for Willy who was now exhausted having to have used up a lot of his magic.

"Now, Gray!" cried Lucy. "Use your magic to freeze and manipulate the water before Willy drinks it!"

Gray then jumped towards the incoming tornado letting out a bellowing yell. The moment he made contact with the water, it immediately froze it making massive spikes jut out from it, and using every ounce of his power, he redirected the frozen tornado of water and directed the attack towards Willy.

"NOW! TAKE THIS, WILLY!" he yelled. "MY ICE MAKE SPIRAL GEYSER!"

Willy looked up in time to see the ice tornado coming straight for him. Seeing that was no time to dodge, he crossed his arms to defend, but thanks to the power of Aquarius' water and Gray's ice, he was slammed hard by the attack. The tornado of ice sent him flying into a building in a mighty explosion of ice and water which shook the area. Everything was now silent as the tornado of ice shattered dissipating into the air.

"Alright! I think we got him!" cheered Lucy.

However, her celebration was short lived as Aquarius got right up in her face seething with fury.

"You got some nerve interrupting me on my date with, Scorpio!" she growled. "And to add to that, you had the gall to boss me around?! You're lucky I don't drown your bimbo butt right now! Next time, you decide to summon me, don't do it in the middle of my date. Otherwise, you're gonna be sleeping with the fishes, and I do mean that literally, got it?!"

"Y-Yes, ma'am!" Lucy squeaked.

And with that, Aquarius disappeared. Gray then looked at Lucy feeling a bit put off having to have seen everything.

"Does she always act like that towards you?" asked Gray.

"You have no idea," said Lucy. "Sometimes I wonder why she hasn't offed me yet."

Back with Jura and Brain, they were still locked in their fight. Brain would fire a Dark Capriccio and Jura would block the attack with an Iron Rock Wall. Then looked back and his eyes widened upon seeing the conclusion of Lucy's and Gray's fight.

"No! Shark was defeated?!" he gasped his face filled with shock. "But how?! It's impossible!"

"Looks like your so-called bodyguard has fallen," said Jura. "And you will be the next to fall!"

Brain glared at Jura and growled with frustration. "Don't make me laugh!" he roared as he pointed his staff. "DARK CAPRICCIO!"

He once more fired his signature spell at Jura, but Jura intercepted with another Iron Rock Wall. The Dark Capriccio pierced right through the rock, but Jura once again bent the stone making the spell shoot in another direction making Brain even more frustrated than before.

"Another evasion!? Fine then! Try this on for size!" he yelled as raised his staff once more. "This attack is sure to hit you head on! DARK CAPRICCIO SCREAM!"

He then unleashed a powerful and faster version of his previous attack shooting it towards Jura hoping to kill him with this attack.

"IRON ROCK WALL CHAIN!"

Once again, using his magic Jura created a line of cuboid shaped pillars to block the incoming attack. Lucy who was now watching the fight called out to him.

"You gotta get out of there Jura! Run away!"

The Dark Capriccio Scream pierced through one pillar after another reducing it to rubble. Soon it pierced through them all, and it was going to straight forJura next. Brain smirked thinking that victory was his, but then with a wave of his hand Jura made the rubble from his pillars float in the air and sent them flying towards Brain. Brain instinctively tried to dodge the attack, but one of the rocks smacked him square on his cheek causing the Dark Capriccio Scream to change direction making it narrowly miss Jura's abdomen. Then Jura made another gesture with his hands, and the stones immediately flew toward Brain encasing and binding him. Jura then placed his hands together unleashing a powerful wave of magic and landed the finishing blow.

"SUPREME KING ROCK CRUSH!"

The pile of rock then exploded with a mighty boom and Brain took every ounce of power and magic from the attack. Happy, Lucy and Happy stared at this display with amazement and shock as Brain fell to the ground.

"That was awesome!" said Happy. "He took the blasted rock from Brain's attack and then made a whole new attack out of it!"

"Now I get why Lyon respects this guy so much," Gray thought to himself. Then he quickly realized what Jura had just done. "Wait a sec... he did it! Jura just took down the leader of the Oración Seis!"

"It's over! We won!" cheered Lucy.

The three then went over to Brain making sure that he wouldn't escape and, so that Jura could interrogate him.

"Hey Jura. Do you think that we could stop this thing now?" asked Lucy.

"Please do..." groaned Natsu who was still feeling motion sick due to Nirvana moving. "Like... right now please..."

"I do not know, but we'll find out now," said Jura. He then turned to Brain. "And I still need an answer as to why you're targeting Cait Shelter Brain."

Brain stared up into the sky in disbelief not hearing what Jura said. "No, this can't be," he murmured. "To think that I would fall like this... Losing in a battle to a light guild and even losing my faithful bodyguard. Please hear my words Midnight. You're our last remaining hope. You cannot let the six prayers disappear... They're our only hope... of keeping him at bay..."

Then as he closed his eyes falling unconscious, another black line on his cheek disappeared leaving two more lines on his face remaining. Jura, Gray, and Lucy were puzzled.

"Keeping who at bay?" wondered Jura.

Gray squinted at Brain's face. "Hey, is it just me, or did one of the black lines on his face just disappear?"

"Gray, don't say creepy things like that!" chided Lucy shivering. "Otherwise you'll freak me out."

Then they heard a voice call out.

"Hey, you guys!"

Everyone turned their attention to see a familiar blue haired girl and her cat coming towards them.

"Hey, it's Wendy and Carla," said Lucy.

"It's just as I suspected," said Carla. "Only those hooligans would be responsible for all of that commotion!"

"We're in big trouble you guys!" said Wendy as she and Carla ran up to them. "I think this city is heading straight toward our guild hall for some reason."

"Don't you worry about a thing," said Gray. "Everything's going to be OK now. Take a look."

Wendy then saw the unconscious Brain and gasped in surprise.

Gray then gestured towards an unconscious Cobra who was behind them a few feet away. "His buddy the snake charmer's also over there."

"Wow," murmured Wendy feeling very impressed seeing the two defeated members of the Seis.

"From what we could gather," continued Lucy. "This Brain guy was the one who's been controlling Nirvana, and now that he's out cold, the city should stop at any moment."

As Carla looked back at Brain, she too felt relieved, but she was still worried. "Something doesn't sit well with me," she said. "He may have been defeated, but did you ever find out the reason why he was targeting our guild?"

"Who knows?" shrugged Gray. "There was probably no reason for it. Just something that villains do." Then he suddenly remembered. "Oh crap! I almost forgot! Willy!"

He then ran over to where Willy was to see if he was alright. His body was littered with bruises and his clothes were tattered. Wendy and Carla were puzzled as Gray gently started to shake Willy to try and wake him up.

"Willy! Willy come on! You gotta wake up!" said Gray as he shook him. "It's me! Gray! Come on!"

"Wait a moment. I thought that his name was Shark," said Carla. "Is Willy his real name or something?"

"Yes it is," said Lucy. "As it turns out, Shark was really a boy who Brain kidnapped around six years ago and made him his puppet. His real name is Willy Falconer."

"No way! You're kidding!" exclaimed Wendy. "So... does that mean that he'll be on our side now?"

"Maybe... maybe not," said Jura. "There's a possibility that the hold Brain had on him is broken when he was defeated, but at the same time, the boy could still be under Brain's control."

"You think that he might attack us?" asked Lucy worriedly.

"I don't know," said Jura. "The only way to find out for sure is when he regains conscious."

Gray continued to shake Willy, trying to wake him up. Then Willy began to stir, and then he slowly began to open his eyes.

Shark and Brain have finally been defeated, but the Allied Forces have the uncertainty of Willy's current state of mind.

The question remains, will he be back to his old self again or will he still be under Brain's control?
