On a sleepy road on the outskirts of Musutafu, a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Izuku's childhood friend was driving a man who looked like an older version of the Midoriya himself. The pair was in mid-conversation about the current state of their lives while entering an area surrounded by thick fauna. "Do you ever regret the decision to run from Sapporo, Hisashi?" the woman asked her eyes on the road.
"Where is this coming from Mitty? We have been out here for over a decade and we both have families here." Hisashi asked, confused at the question that was asked by the blonde woman. He had left his childhood home after a disagreement with his mother and ever since he and the said woman had been living in Musutafu, so after all of that time he was unaware why she would ask if he regretted it now, sure at first he was homesick and he was sure she was, but after twelve years he could not say that he exactly regretted his decision.
Mitty in question let a barely noticeable frown on her face. Unlike Hisashi, she regretted following him here, though if she could go back she would not change that decision. She knew why he left and it was noble of him to do so disregarding that they would not see Hana Midoriya, her savior, again. Her thoughts on the matter remained, unlike Hisashi. She can clearly say that she was not happy, she was not satisfied with how life for her turned out. Growing up she had her whole life planned out in front of her and Hisashi threw a ranch into those plans. "Where is this coming from? Hisashi…" Mitty began, entering a mountain pass that appeared to only have their car on it. "I asked you the same thing four years ago." After years of not seeing each other, they met again as both had toddlers with different people. "I understand that you wanted to help the heroes back then, for the greater good of everyone, I understood that you weren't the only one that wanted the same thing, but…"
"But we betrayed my mom, we ran away without telling anyone and I left you alone after. Mitty I…"
Mitty harshened her grip on the steering wheel, red gloves starting to smoke, stopping Hisashi mid-speech. Of course, she would not blame him for her decision so just hearing that sorrowful tone in his voice was enough without him apologizing, letting out a soft sigh she smiled offering him a glance. "It's alright, Hisashi. You know… things did not work out for me in the way that it has for you. My kid is a little shit that basically worships All Might, and my marriage has been on the rocks for a while now. I don't know… I have been thinking about what if we had not left all those years ago what our lives would be like now. What would have happened if you were going to take over for Lady Hana… Where I would be now."
"What are you saying, Mitty?" Hisashi said, looking at the defeated face of a once proud woman who put fear in the scariest and hardened Yakuza.
From the corner of her eye, Mitty looked over at the man that she had grown up with, the man that she had planned to be his right hand. "I want to go back, I want us to go back, Hisashi. After all this time I want us to go home. Lady Hana, Aki… everyone misses you. I don't know if I can keep lying to them. After we do this, after we help the heroes take down the straggler clans we can finally go home, Hisashi. After that, the four of them are going legit, every one of them even…"
"My mother?..."
"Yeah, she wants to take up gardening, and with the money from her… work she can live comfortably for the rest of her life. And she wants to start a store for us in the future. She wants us back, Hisashi. That's why she agreed to this as a way to apologize for everything." Mitty spoke with a hint of desperation in her voice, though she was telling the truth about Hana's apology she was not a hundred percent truthful of what she had to do for it. Hana like Mitty herself, was a proud woman who had her beliefs that she would stand by at a cost to herself, she knew that she and Hisashi were the same so she had done something that would convince the man's mother that she was serious, she had to throw away her pride for this offer. "We can finally go home, Hisa."
"Go home? Mitty, what about our families, about Inko and Masaru… we can't run like we did back then. We have kids for Gods' sake." Hisashi looked at Mitty like she had grown a second head.
"Don't look at me like that, I know Hisashi… but like tonight we have responsibilities that can't be ignored. And don't lie to me like you do Inko. Do you know what it's like to lie to her about knowing you, or does she know where you are right now, or what you are doing with her best friend…" Mitty could see that his words hit a cord with him. "If we go home we don't have to sneak around anymore, we won't fight like we do with them." She paused to put a hand on Hisashi's shoulder. "It could be like it always has been since we were kids, the two of us against the world." She spoke as the pair passed the sign that marked a parking lot and park that overlooks the city.
Hisashi sighed at her request, he knew that in some way she was right. He could see it in Inko's eyes every time he had to go on a 'business trip'. It hurt her to see him go, especially recently. The stronger of the smaller clans around the country were not going to bow, and All Might's declaration of war on organized crime did not help things in the least. That man did not care that no one could keep up with the number one when he was motivated, and it was apparent that All Might did not have a family of his own or he would at least take a day or two off, or let the people he needs to support him to do just that. Hisashi thought over Mitty's words in the calm quiet with just the sound of the engine and the tires moving on concrete to accompany them, and she might be right about this being the best move. He did not know how Izuku might react to it, but he could use the same excuse many generations of salarymen have used in the past. Resolute he turned to Mitty to ask her one thing before he made up his mind to break the heart of the only other woman he had ever loved. "And what about the kids, Mitsuki?"
Seeing that she had somehow gotten through to him for the first time in twelve years she smiled for the first time in what felt like months. "We will work it out, I don't know about Katsuki, but I am sure that Izu would like Sapporo, a Quirkless kid like him would love it there. You don't know but he has been being picked on lately. I have caught some of his and Katsuki's friends with stuff that Inko would buy for him and asking Inko would only make things worse for him. At least at home, he would be a son of Midoriya, our name would at least afford him a normal life. Plus if he still wants to be a hero there is no reason he can't be a 'late bloomer' like I was."
Hisashi laughed, apparently Mitsuki had thought all of this out like she has with everything else. "You have thought this out, but I doubt mom would like it if her grandson wants to be a hero. And have you thought of how both Inko and Izuku would react to this? It is Inko's best friend and Izuku's Auntie who will be breaking up their family. Have you thought about how they both would look at you after all of this? Let alone Katsuki."
Mitsuki gave him a bright smile as she pulled into the nearly empty parking lot, sure that all that she cared for now was what Hisashi's decision would be, sure that at the very least one of their children should be with them, the one that looked every bit like a Midoriya. "Sure…" She frowned at the thought of Izuku ever hating her, but to get what she wanted she was willing to do whatever it took. "Izu would hate me for a little while, and we would be breaking Inko's heart but after the last twelve years I can live with it, they will understand that this might be best for everyone."
"Best for everyone she says."

The night that Izuku and Hana found out about each other Izuku was finally alone with Yu as they entered her apartment. It was an exhausting day for Izuku as he had learned so much yet not enough to know what happened between his father and paternal grandmother to the effect that his dad would not tell either person about each other, but that was a question he could ask Fujiwara-san and his mother later but one thing he could get the answer to is if Yu truly knew his father as well. Given that Genshiro implied as much, he wanted to know what Yu knew and if she could tell him anything about Hisashi, but he had no idea how to approach the subject. From what he knew his father would go on business trips all the time while he was alive but could not answer for the life of him what the man did for a living. This took up all of his mental processes when he sat on the couch in the living area as Yu went to her room to clean up and change. "Izuku?" He was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts when Yu returned and kneeled in front of him to get his attention.
Knocked back to reality he saw the worried face of the Pro looking at him back in his t-shirt and a pair of athletic shorts. "Wha?..." He started, stunned that she would put the shirt back on, figuring that she would have returned it after this morning. "Y-Y-Yu-san? What's going on?" He questioned, a red tint gracing his freckled cheeks embarrassed at the sight.
Yu smiled at his reaction, getting up and posing for him. She was interested to see how Izuku would react. "I figured that you would like to see me in your tee again. What do you think? I heard that guys like it when a girl puts on their clothes." She said while winking at him. "Though I am not really into Endeavour like Kamui said." She finished with a short-lived distant look that Izuku noticed.
For Izuku's part the teen couldn't quite disagree, he thought that she looked beautiful in everything that she had worn since they met. As he thought about how to answer her inquiry, his mind moved back to last night, and the image of her half-naked in the same futon as him… and his brain stopped working for the moment.
His lack of an answer brought something like a mischievous smile to her face, sure that Izuku liked the sight of his mentor in his t-shirt once again, not wanting to push it by wearing nothing but her undergarments underneath like this morning. "I am going to take that face as approval." Stretching she sat next to him to see what was bothering him. "So…" She began. "I'm guessing that visit to old man Fujiwara's place left you with a lot of questions, didn't it?"
A sad smile crossed Izuku's face when she asked, of course, he had a lot of questions but he did not know where to start. Though he did not know much and he was sure that Yu wouldn't be able to answer much he could at least ask her something. "Yeah… I do have one question for you, Yu-san."
Yu knew what he wanted to know and was preparing herself to answer it to the best of her ability without stepping on Genshiro's toes. "If I can answer I will be more than happy to, I know what it feels like to be kept in the dark, and I don't want that for you."
Taking a deep breath Izuku looked Yu in the eyes with a serious look in his. "Well umm… Fujiwara-san made it sound like you knew my father… and if you don't mind, that is… umm could you tell me about how you knew him? I honestly don't remember him all that well and what I do remember was not that much."
"If I can be honest with you I have only met him a handful of times so I don't know much about him." Yu began looking up at the ceiling. "When I did meet him was when he was at the Fujiwaras'." She paused to put her thoughts together, she did not know what to say or why Hisashi would keep his family's history a secret from Izuku. "So if you want to know more than what you have to say you should ask old man Fujiwara on the weekend."
"Umm ok…"
"But what I can tell you is that he would help the Fujiwaras and Rumi get their ramen shop running and he was the reason that Genshiro-san sponsored our agency," Yu explained. "Back then he and I guess by extension your grandmother was involved in the hero business in some way." She finished, not giving away that Hisashi was doing much more than that, from Rumi's account he convinced the four Yakuza Warlords to work with the heroes of the current generation. The war against organized crime eight years ago was something that would be still going on, or a failure if it wasn't for the late Hisashi Midoriya. All Might's declaration at the time which turned him into the symbol of peace almost led Japan into a time of chaos. "But that is all I know, if you want to know more I guess you have to ask your grandmother and Genshiro-san."
Izuku looked at his lap in confusion. Not only did he not know that his father had been involved with heroes and the hero business he did not know that he was that involved with the Fujiwara family. From what he knew his mother spoke of his father as a salaryman who traveled a lot. He tried to make sense of what his mentor said and the more he thought about it the less it didn't make sense. Fujiwara-san and Yu knew about his grandmother and the older man was pretty clear about knowing about Mitsuki Bakugou, but he had no idea that Izuku existed or for that matter that his father would have a child. If he did not look like his dad he doubted that Genshiro would have said anything. 'What is going on?' Izuku asked himself, clueless about the true nature of his family.
