"Come on! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Ramona urged her other roommates.

"Will you give it a rest? There's still plenty of time to find good seats" Aria yelled out to her.

Today was the first game of Quidditch of the school year. Not only was it the first game but it was Hufflepuff versus Gryffindor. Brenna was excited to see a live game for the first time in Hogwarts but she was also excited for Oliver. He's been making new plays all week to the point that Professor McGonagall threatened to take 50 points away from Gryffindor if he didn't pay attention to his classes. If he wasn't having his nose in his book about Quidditch, he was constantly talking about it.

"Will you relax?" Brenna asked as they made their way to their next classes, "You'll be fine"

"It's my first year as Captain, I want to make a good impression and show that I mean business" Oliver commented, "There's no way I am accepting defeat in my first match"

Brenna smiled and rolled her eyes, "After this weekend, no one will think to challenge Gryffindor"

Oliver shrugged, "Our seeker still kind of sucks… I had to point out the snitch a couple of times"

"Maybe the live game will get him on his toes" Brenna said, "Plenty of soldiers have nerves during their practice drills but when it comes to being relied on, they always come through"

Oliver blinked out of his stupor and turned to Brenna, "Soldiers? What do they teach you lot at Beauxbatons?"

Brenna waved it off, "It's something I learned while I was in Greece"

She had promised Oliver Wood nearly every single day that she wouldn't miss this match for the world. It's kind of hard not to, considering how Quidditch was the only team sport that Hogwarts was allowed to play. According to the ghosts, there were countless more but they slowly got banned whenever there was a fatality, which now left only Quidditch. She sincerely hoped that nothing bad happened during the game while she was there.

"Ramona, you seem to really enjoy Quidditch" Brenna turned to the girl, "Have you ever tried out before?"

Nia snorted, causing Ramona to turn and glare at the other girl, "I did but… I'm never really good enough"

"She loves the role of being a Beater but is scared of the bludgers" Nia commented.

"You would be too if you had ever tried out" Ramona snapped, "Sometimes I think they're just cursed objects that people just left alone. Anyways, I'm more than happy to be just a fan. If I ever was on the team, I'm pretty sure I would've forgotten I was a player whenever the game turned exciting"

Brenna grabbed her cardigan out of her wardrobe and followed the other girls out of the room. Most of the Gryffindors were in either scarlet or mustard yellow colors, which was as close to gold as they were all going to get. Since Ramona was so into Quidditch, they had eaten earlier, right when the Quidditch teams were eating, she wanted to give Oliver one more good luck saying but instead got the eyes of the twins who waved while trying not to yawn.

"Do you think the Slytherin's will be there?" Aria asked.

"Of course" Ramona laughed, "Not only to boo us but to make sure Wood would be distracted by them"

Brenna turned to the girls, "How do you figure?"

"Everyone knows how obsessed with Quidditch Wood is and the Slytherin's are no exceptions" Nia explained, "Marcus Flint has been taunting him nearly ever since he heard that Wood's been made Captain. I think he's trying to get Wood to lay a hand on him just so he can suggest to get him booted off of Quidditch"

"The only reason why the Slytherins win every year is because they are aggressive" Aria rolled her eyes, "Last year nearly half of the Quidditch teams were in the Hospital Wing with broken bones thanks to them"

Brenna had a sudden pit in her stomach as she understood why people were so tense about the game. Maybe she should've joined the Gryffindor team, just to put Slytherin in their place.

But then again, her cover would've been blown before her task started.

"Do you think we can get closer?"

"If we get any closer, the four of us will have to sit separately" Aria snapped, "Just be happy that we're in these seats and stop fussing"

"Honestly, you act just as bad as Wood" Nia shook her head.

"Do Beauxbatons play Quidditch?" Aria asked.

Brenna laughed, "And risk everyone getting dirty? Please, they like more sophisticated games"

"I kind of figured" Ramona turned to Brenna, "My cousin goes to Beauxbatons and with every winter and summer break she has her wand so far up her rear end that she acts too good to be around my family"

Brenna gave a slight nod just as the celebratory music erupted in the stadium, causing everyone to stand up and cheer. On opposite sides of the field a group of yellow was walking to meet a group in red. Brenna clapped hard and cheered as the captains met in the middle and gave a firm handshake to one another. The players mounted their brooms as each took their position. Brenna turned and looked up to the field posts as Oliver kept in the middle but slightly lower, a tactic that he had mentioned he was going to do.

The whistle erupted as the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors flew around like rabid dogs before Hufflepuff got to the ball first. Brenna did a big intake of breath as she watched them start to fly over to Oliver at top speed. She clutched her heart to her chest as so much blood pumped into her ears that she couldn't even hear Lee Jordan commentating the game. She watched in slow motion as a chaser threw to the farthest goal post from Oliver but he sprung up and caught it just in the knick of time.

The Gryffindor's side went wild as Oliver threw the quaffle to Angelina who was making her debut as a chaser this year. Brenna watched as she tucked the ball under her arm and sailed up high just as a bludger narrowly missed her. Brenna breathed out a sigh of relief as everyone watched the Gryffindor team make their way to the goal post.

Some yells and commotion was heard behind Brenna and her friends that made the group turn around to see what was happening. Marcus Flint and a group of Slytherins were making their way through the crowd, pushing everyone out of their seats.

A group of first years behind them scurried away just as Marcus Flint shot a snot rocket in the poor kids direction before sitting behind Brenna and the others.

"Charming" Brenna muttered.

"What the bloody hell was that?!" Marcus Flint yelled out, "You call that a pass? Your ass would not have been in Slytherin if you were in our House"

"Yeah, if they even had the blood to be in it" one of his friends laughed out loud.

"Seriously" a burly woman said, "I feel filthy just sitting over here"

Brenna looked to Nia who just rolled her eyes at them as the Slytherins continued to complain about everything and anything, "No wonder they crossbreed"

"Another score to Hufflepuff!" Lee Jordan announced.

"God, Wood just give up!" Marcus Flint yelled out, "It's not too late to change schools, you disgrace of a Captain"

Without warning, Brenna reached back, grabbed Flint's ankle and yanked him off of his seat so hard, he fell under the bleachers. Brenna knew that taking out Flint was going to make the others retaliate as she got up and turned to the other two. The muscular girl tried to throw a punch first but Brenna turned to the side, grabbed her arm and tossed her into the opening below Brenna. The girl was so thick that Brenna had to push her with her sneakers down into the bleachers to join the other Slytherin. She turned to the last boy who had his wand up at Brenna's back, his mouth was opened as if he was going to curse her.

Brenna tsked, "Didn't mommy ever tell you to not raise your wand in arms length of an opponent?"

Brenna bent the last Slytherin boy's arm back as it disarmed him from his wand. He let out a yelp and cradled his wrist as Brenna twirled his wand around and around. The boy thought better of it as he turned and got out of the Gryffindors stand.

A loud roar of cheers came from her classmates as Brenna fixed her cardigan and sat down; her three friends looked at her with wild eyes.

"What?" Brenna asked, "They were bothering me"
