Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the next chapter and the last one of the Impel Down Arc. And boy, my apologies for the waiting as I finally got my internship running.

The sound of liquid dripping down to the floor was the only thing heard from the standoff that now was there between Naruto and-

"UGH!"

A wounded Magellan who clutched his hand over the slash wound that was present across his chest, with blood of his actually leaking as he was forced to step a few feet backwards after the blow.

"Damn it… I let my guard down…" Magellan grunted in pain while glaring at the inmates. "But don't think I will give up!"

*!*

Gasping, Magellan held his wound and fell back to his knees, clutching in pain as he was at the mercy now of his blond opponent who still had his blade out.

Naruto turned around his head and ordered. "What are you all waiting for? Get upstairs, now!"

Jimbei agreed. "Everyone to the upper levels! Don't waste your time here!"

That command alone made everyone run for the other side of the area, with only a few standing still. With Domino and Gin leading the rest up front with the rest of the Raiders.

"Let's go Straw-boy!" Bon Clay said. "We need to move up now we can!"

Luffy however just stayed there, and was stunned, but then he nodded and followed Bon Clay up to the stairs along with Ivankov's people. With even Crocodile having joined the others with his own henchmen.

…

"... Shikamaru, Chôji. Go upstairs. You will be needed there."

The pineapple-haired Nara slightly looked at Naruto with the lazy look but then nodded. "Aright, just don't waste your time here, finish it off."

"I will." Naruto replied. "Haku, stay here with me."

Haku nodded. "I will."

*Rumble!*

The ceiling rumbled as an explosion could've been heard from the upstairs level, as fighting might've continued on. Meaning that they were close.

"Go now."

"Alright…" Chôji responded as he turned around and started walking away. "Let's go Shikamaru, I want to get out of this place."

Following his best friend, the Nara followed up as the two began sprinting for the escaping crowd they tried to catch up to. Leaving both Naruto and a alert Haku with the injured Magellan alone.

As they were expected to continue their fight-

"The biggest outbreak of Impel Down, all happening under my eyes…."

Magellan was speaking, as he sounded distressed, Naruto replied to him.

"I can only imagine you are angry now, given the circumstances. This is beyond my responsibility so don't blame me."

Standing back up, the Warden however disagreed as he had a very angry response to give.

"This is exactly your responsibility." Magellan said pointing his finger out. "We made an agreement, Uzumaki; that I would look out for your men's health and keep your presence a secret from the World Government, in exchange for that your men won't start any trouble let alone a riot."

If anybody in the surrounding area was alive to have heard that, there wouldn't have been any witnesses left on the spot. As this revelation alone would be shocking.

Warden Magellan and Naruto Uzumaki knew each other - and more than that, he helped in ways more than what he insinuated.

"It isn't my fault that Straw Hat Luffy came here to try and save his brother." Naruto argued in calm as he reminded. "Say what you want, but everyone knew he was unpredictable."

"And this justifies the outbreak of criminals, former Warlords and Revolutionaries?" Magellan sounded his discontent. "Let alone the safety of your men. Good men! Who now will be hunted down without mercy by the government for the rest of their lives - like hunted criminals!"

"They were prepared for that, Magellan." Haku reminded him with a stern look. "Ever since we discovered something that the World Government didn't want us to know, they tried to silence us one way or another - this won't be any different."

…

Magellan's response was that of a simple sigh, standing back up to his feet as his wound was still visibly there.

"I guess this conversation will go nowhere, which leaves me to ask you at least one favor: Look after Domino, alright?" The Warden asked as he held his wound. "She's already exposed as a spy by Cipher Pol. I cannot cover her anymore nor will they let me keep her here."

Naruto knew this was meant for him, and the genuine sound of his voice only confirmed it.

"I'll look after her, you got my word."

Both men came to an understanding, but then the Warden moved his feet into position.

"Now, my apologies but I cannot ignore my duties…" Magellan said as he got into his stance and reiterated. "So don't hold any grudges, I got a job to do."

Haku's hands got the spikes sticking out, prepared to fight, but the medic looked down for a moment, feeling something.

"Now stand-"

"HELL WINK!"

Out of nowhere the floor erupted and coming out from it was the oversized head of Ivankov himself with the unconscious body of Inazuma attached to it. And caught in the middle both Naruto and Haku were grabbed by the hair and-

*SMASH!*

Smashed through the ceiling, the last of the escaping prisoners had escaped Level 2 right in front of the eyes of Warden Magellan, who was totally caught off by surprise.

"...YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"

Level 1

For those who had reached the docks now had reached the limit for now.

*BOOM!*

A cannonball happened to land just off the docks with the water splashing over the inmates. Causing some of them to be soaked.

"We're trapped!"

Luffy was running with Shikamaru and Chôji right behind him, and he found himself in the back of the group where he saw a couple of Naruto's crew, one of whom was Gin who was helping a wounded fighter.

"Aghhh. Damn it!" The guy's leg was shot up and bandaged up. "Go on without me-"

"Don't speak nonsense, you are coming with us." Gin told him off before ordering a couple of his men. "Get him outside."

The two men helped pick up their wounded comrade and brought him up front, with Gin picking up his rifle again and turning around to see Luffy run up.

"You made it, good." Gin said as he noticed there were only three of them. "Where's the captain?"

"He's stalling the Warden, I think. With Haku with him." Shikamaru informed. "Where's the rest?"

"Anyone that can still fight is with Domino, who joined Jimbei and Crocodile and that clown to try to commandeer a ship." Gin answered. "Except for the wounded, they all out there. But we're missing someone."

"Who is it?" Chôji asked. "We just ran up the stairs, only bodies we see are the guards."

"Sergeant First Class Bentham." Gin answered. "He now goes by the name Bon Clay now."

*CRACK!*

Then the floor got cracked open by the head of Ivankov himself, causing everyone else to jump out of the way as Naruto and Haku were seen jumping off the head and landing.

"Talk about good timing." Naruto said whipping off the dirt off himself before turning to the bleeding Iva. "Ivankov, you still with me?"

"Yeah…barely…" He said. "Need to rest…"

"Stay awake for now." Naruto told him and turned to Haku. "Tend to their wounds fast before-"

"NARUTO!"

The shout itself caused everyone in that room to pale and turn to the end of the hallway, seeing that it was a giant pissed off Magellan who was coming towards them, right on their heels!

"HE'S HERE!"

"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!"

"Shut your mouths! Captain!" One of the Raiders threw Naruto a transponder snail. "Its Jimbei!"

Naruto catches the snail. "Luffy, hold him off for a moment!"

"Right!" Luffy shouted as he grabbed someone. "Come with me Mr.3!"

"Huh why MEEEEE!" Mr. 3 shouted as he got dragged towards the fight with Luffy, with tears in his eyes of course.

"Jimbei, with Naruto here. We've reached the docks." Naruto spoke through the snail. "I hope you got a ship because we got Magellan up in the very same floor!"

'Yes, we got one, and more than just that. But we cannot turn around, it will take too long for us to get there. So I need you and everyone else to jump into the sea!'

The prisoners heard this and understandably reacted as followed - by panic and disbelief.

"You want us to do WHAT?! No way we will-"

"Alright," Naruto agreed. "We'll do it."

"WHAT!" The prisoners collectively responded. "ARE YOU INSANE?!"

"Sorry to say it, but even if we jump into the water, we're in the Calm Belt." One queer inmate reminded. "We'll be dead before we can even swim a mile!"

*CRASH!*

And by that they all turned towards where Magellan was, and saw that with Mr. 3's wax wall and Luffy's large inflated feet, the warden was pushed back against the wall - but not for long as the driven poison man was back up again!

"Screw it! I rather jump into the sea then getting touched by that guy." One Raider concluded as he was about to run for the water.

"EVERYONE!"

The panicking escapees turned towards Haku, and saw that Ivankov was awake to a degree, with him having just said something to the medic, causing the needle user to shout.

"GRAB ONTO IVA'S HEAD!"

…. And without even a second thought everyone started running for the big guy's purple hair, holding onto it with both their hands onto it.

And like bugs they started to stick onto Iva's hair with all their might, with some even helping the wounded onto it, just then when Magellan was about to reach for them-

"HELL WINK!"

Ivankov's shout and eye wink send the prisoners off from the entrance and burst through the stone wall, just escaping the poison hand of Magellan that tried to catch them - but failed as they escaped with mere luck.

Flying through the air, Naruto held on tight as he heard the panicking screams from the other inmates as they were about to land into the sea.

"We're going to sink!"

"I can't swim!"

But then right before they touched the surface ocean, something then appeared out of it.

*BOINK!*

Bouncing off it, what they landed on was a whale-shark that just caught them on time, and it wasn't the only one as a whole flock of them was seen assembled around them.

"It's a colony of Whale sharks! We're saved!"

"Jimbei must've called them!"

"Hooray!"

Stepping off Ivankov's head, Naruto kneeled down and petted the skin of the Whale-Shark that just saved their lives.

"Thanks big man."

The whale shark even gave a smile that Naruto couldn't see, meaning it understood him as it started to bounce Ivankov's head with everyone else towards the ship with each of the whales passing it to one another.

…

Meanwhile, back at the entrance of Impel Down, all hopes for Warden Magellan as his poison slowly disintegrated as he could only watch now as the prisoners were seen ending up reaching the ship that most likely was hijacked.

But what he noticed around him was the smell of burning wood, and what he saw was shocking.

Burned down and damaged Marine naval ships were seen left and right, with many deemed unseaworthy, with whatever wasn't on fire was sunk and shipwrecks and debris scattered all across the port.

"They scuttled the ships, haven't they?"

Magellan turned around and see that Vice-Admiral Momousagi, seen limping forwards as she came up to the entrance by herself.

"Vice Admiral." Magellan addressed her. "Yes they did, I don't know when they had the time to do that, but they indeed did."

Momousagi pointed then towards the nearest ship that the wales were going for.

"No, it's those men on that ship."

On the Warship

Once the final whale shark had bounced the escaping prisoners on the ship, it didn't took long for some of them to celebrate quickly.

"FREE! WE'RE FINALLY-"

*CLICK!*

That inmate was met with the barrel of a shotgun aimed at his head, by a man who wore a khaki uniform and a gas mask.

Then those newer arrivals noticed this ship was filled by similar clothed men like of Naruto's Raiders, with many of them having already aimed their weapons at the black-and-white clothed prisoners who were caught off guard.

One of those who was seen holding his hand upwards still was Mr. 3, seen surrounded by a three of them.

"Wait, wait, WAIT!" The Wax man cried his tears. "We're on the same side! The same side!"

"Hold your fire, everyone." Domino came out of crowd, and saluted Naruto. "Captain, everyone from Level 2 is on the ship, sir!"

This left all the inmates of Buggy's and Iva's group confused and shout universally.

"WHAT?"

"THE HELL'S GOING ON!?" Buggy shouted in anger as he ranted. "When jumped on this ship, and instead they didn't fire a single shot!" The clown pointed at Crocodile, Jimbei and the others being relaxed at the presence of the others. "Was this all planned or something?"

"No, they just plan further than you morons." Naruto walked right past the clown as he quickly checked the number of men he had. "I don't expect you pirates to plan up ahead."

"Hey!"

Naruto stopped counting and turned to Domino. "Is this all?"

Domino nodded. "We're all set."

"Alright, let's go men!" Naruto ordered around as he ran up towards the deck. "Man the positions, we're not out of the woods yet!"

"What are you talking about?" Buggy spoke, oblivious to the situation. "We just-"

*BOOM!*

A cannon blast ended the short-lived thoughts of freedom for those on the commandeered ship, as now several Marine Warships were seen gunning for them while in formation.

"We got a whole fleet of pissed off Marines on our asses, so we are not exactly free!" Naruto restated and gave out orders. "So I need everyone doing their jobs. Man those cannons, those with Devil Fruit Powers stay up here and cover us."

"Bu-"

*BOOM!*

One lucky cannonball hit the deck and several prisoners were caught in it, along with Naruto, causing some to shout.

"We're hit!"

"The captain's too!"

Luffy turned around and saw the smoldering smoke and watched as bodies were being pulled out, with some already seen looking for-

"I'm fine, I'm fine."

Naruto was seen coming out of the smoke with his hand waving it off and walking on his own, but not unscathed as a nasty cut through the right shoulder.

"Do I need to repeat myself again? Get those cannons firing!"

Crocodile even took a moment to speak to the other inmates. "You heard the man, you useless morons. This ship has powerful cannons, fire back at them."

"We've done well enough so far because all of their high-ranking officers are off to Marineford. But we are still outnumbered." Jimbei added in while steering the ship. "So don't let your guard down."

The ship steered away as the fleet followed. Like a game of Cat and Mouse, they were getting fired at non-stop with the marines hell-bent on destroying that ship with whatever it took.

*BANG!*

*BANG!*

*BANG!*

The first shots fired from the commandeered three cannons on the rear that have been fired up against the ships chasing them, and there they were hitting one of the ships nearby.

"We got one!" One Raider shouted. "We got one!"

This forced the other Navy ships to take more distance to avoid getting hit, bringing some cheers from the inmates.

But that cheering ended quickly when they reached the end - The Gates of Justice, and there the sudden realization was made - they were trapped.

"It's a dead end!"

"Keep it forwards, Jimbei." Naruto told him, eyeing on the gates. "Just keep going."

Jimbei nodded. "Right."

*BOOM!*

As more cannonballs were being fired, this time those on the ship were prepared.

"SABLES!" Crocodile yelled, disintegrating a few cannonballs within his reach.

"GUM-GUM-" Luffy's body inflated, just enough to catch a few of them and bouncing them off the ship. "BALLOON!"

Two more cannonballs were seen coming for the ship - right for Naruto and Jimbei's back as then-

*GRAB!*

It were the large-sized hands of Chôji that caught both of them and having covered the backs of the two men, he threw them off the ship.

Naruto thanked. "Thank you, Chôji."

"Yes, Mr. Akamichi." Jimbei acknowledged. "You did good there."

"... I just want to get out of here…" Chôji said, exhausted as he sat on the floor. "Just get those damn gates open already."

And like that something unexpected happened - the gates were opening up slowly - their path to freedom was opened.

Cheers of joy and dancing could be seen as they were overjoyed with happiness, even Luffy was seen joining the festivities for a short while.

"I don't know what is happening, but I don't care!" Luffy shouted happily. "So long we are not dead and can save Ace!"

At the steering wheel however the emotions were more stoic. With Jimbei having just told something to the surrounding others, who now were informed of the reason why the Gates of Justice opened.

…

Shikamaru basically summed it up. "So that is why those gates opened…someone stayed behind."

Jimbei nodded, confirming it.

"Even when there is no way out…" Chôji asked, wanting to know. "... Who?"

It was Haku who turned to Naruto and looked at him before asking the important question that needed to be answered.

"Naruto…who was it?"

Impel Down - Monitor room

"You sure you want to open the gates of Justice at a time like this? Warden Magellan?"

The person who stood there as Warden Magellan, wasn't the warden himself but instead it was Mr. 2 Bon Clay himself, disguised with his Devil Fruit powers that allowed him to swap faces, and he was now putting it to great us.

To allow everyone else to escape Impel Down as he would make sure the gates would remain open until they pass through and then closing it to cut the chasers off.

"Of course I am, do you have any reason to doubt me." Doing the best impression of the warden. "As soon as the prisoner's ship makes its way through, I want you to close it right behind them."

"Right." The monitor officer nodded.

Watching and waiting, Bon Clay, also formerly known as Bentham, stood there patiently as he stared without any sign of suspicion at the guards opening the gates. Allowing his friends to escape out.

His comrades, those of who were left of course. Giving them a chance to be free again.

'You all get out, you deserve better. All of you.'

*SLAM!*

The sound of the door slammed open, and coming in were both the real Warden Magellan and Vice Admiral Momousagi.

"What are you idiots doing?!" She pointed out. "This is the real Warden Magellan, that ones' a fake!"

Even then, Bon Clay was unusually silent, but he sighed as he made one last mental note.

'Captain, Straw Boy. I did my part.'

Back at the ship

"All this time, you knew?"

Having just been informed of the reason why the gates were being opened, Luffy was the first one to ask directly from Jimbei who just said who it was that volunteered to stay behind, and make their window of escape possible.

"And that's why you didn't stop…." Before Luffy then turned to the blond captain. "And you let him do that?"

Naruto just sighed as he kept staring at the same direction as Jimbei, but he answered still his question.

"He volunteered and went off, I did not order it." Naruto said as he shook his head. "If he stayed longer he would've known what was planned."

"Planned?"

*Tick!* *Tick!* *Tick!*

Hidden in the gate panels was a small device that was left behind by the escaping men from Level 2, that of Naruto's men. That was not found by the prison guards who recently retook the monitor room.

As now everyone was in the middle of a standoff - of the Fake Magellan and the real Magellan.

The real Magellan shouted in anger. "You bastard!"

"That's me!" Bon Clay revealed his true face with a smile. "I got you!" Making a small ballerina stance as he laughed. "You silly man! Didn't learn the lesson the first time, didn't ya?"

"He was a fake all along?!" One of the guards reacted shocked as did the others.

"Damn it!" Gion turned towards one of the guards. "What is the status of the chase?"

"Uhm, bad." The first officer responded. "They were unable to destroy the ship and are halfway through, even if we close the gates now."

"Even if they manage to pass through their fate is sealed." Magellan said to them. "If they can think they can escape an entire fleet of navy vessels, they're fools then."

"Still, we should not take any chances." The fake Magellan said. "Close the gates now."

"Uhm…yes sir." The guard handling the gates responded, "Let's see, no problem-"

"DON'T YOU DARE! YOU STEP AWAY!"

The guard startled as he now was confused.

"O-Of course!"

"Push it!"

"Don't!"

"Push it!"

"Don't do it!"

Gion was about to call this nonsense out until she then heard something…

*Tick!* *Tick!* *Tick!*

Turning around, the female marine walked over to the cameras behind her and followed that ticking sound, and kneeled down below and heard that ticking.

"PUSH THE BUTTON!"

*Click!*

And like that the close-button was pressed in, and the Gates of Justice began to close down.

"EVERYONE!" Gion warned. "GET DOWN!

*TICK!*

*BOOM!*

Just then, one of the Raiders was looking down his watch and nodded.

"Hopefully they went off."

He wasn't heard as the focus by everyone now laid on the fact their ship was sailing through the closing gap, as it looked like the gates were indeed closing down with them going right through it.

"They're closing the gates!"

"We'll be going through, so it's good." Someone shouted. "The fleet behind us will be unable to follow us."

Naruto watched as indeed they were passing through, with this meaning they will be in the Tarai Current, meaning they would still be stuck within government waters, with them having to either find their way into Ennies Lobby or go to Navy HQ.

"Damn it, we can't just leave Bon behind, he's my friend!"

Turning around and Naruto watched as Luffy protested the fact Bon stayed behind to make their escape possible. Angered, unwilling and mentioning all the facts of how the swan man helped him through Impel Down and even saved his life multiple times.

…

…

…

"Here…"

Luffy was then given the baby transponder snail that Jimbei held.

"It is still connected. Baby transponder snails have limited coverage. Once the gates closes, you won't be able to speak to him anymore."

Impel Down - Monitor Room

With the multiple explosives having gone off, most of the room was now in either flames or thick black smoke with men seen coughing or laying wounded on the floor.

But standing there still were both Warden Magellan and Bon Clay who now stood without the disguise, facing off the jailer with an uncompromising smile.

"You imbecile, I'll make you pay!" Magellan growled at him. "The fact a pirate like you were in the Legion is beyond my questioning."

"Oh, you would be surprised, mister!" Bon Clay laughed with a smirk. "The types of people who I fought alongside with, are the best of whom I could call friends!"

'Bon! Bon!'

The transponder snail went off, with Luffy's voice heard.

"S-Straw Boy?"

Grabbing his transponder snail, it went off continuing Luffy's questioning.

'Hey, can you still hear me? It's Luffy! Are you nuts, why are you doing this?'

Standing there, Bon Clay could not respond, as his guilt started to build up knowing what was going to be said next.

'It's just like last time!'

Back on the ship

As the ship was nearing the end, everyone was more focused on Luffy's pleas over the transponder snail.

"Why didn't you say something? Maybe we could've found another way." Luffy said through the snail that laid on the box. "We were supposed to break out together. Damn it! How many times do you have to save me, huh!?"

No response was given as everyone of the Okama's and the others surrounded Luffy as he pleaded for an answer.

"If you are there say something! Answer!"

The realization alone of the fact that one of them stayed behind, so the rest could escape just started to grasp the minds of all the men on board.

"H-He saved us….we're only free now…. B-Because he stayed behind in that hell…"

"Come on!"

"Brother Bon, please!" One pirate begged. "We just want to talk with you!"

"Just say something, so we know you are alive!"

Mr.3 himself couldn't hold back and screamed. "Mr. 2!"

"Bon-Boy…" Ivankov said, horrified by what he just heard.

"How dare you Mr.2!" Buggy yelled in tears. "Before I could tell you I am sorry!"

The pleas and screams for answers continued as they were primarily coming from Okama people and the pirates. Yet the reactions from the Legion, the Damned Raiders, his old comrades in general?

"FIRE!"

*BANG!*

They had no time to react or even turn around as they were busy keeping the ship moving and the cannons firing back, nearly depleting the ammunition.

"We're nearly out of cannonballs! We're nearly through the gates!"

"BON!" Luffy yelled at the snail. "SAY SOMETHING!"

The ship indeed nearly got through, as the gates were slowly closing down, narrowing for only one ship to go through.

"This is it…the gate's about to close… We have…to go…" Luffy said, seeing he was struggling with this, holding back tears that were clearly visible on the edges, he was joined by others.

…

Luffy inhaled before he then shouted in appreciation. "SO THANK YOU!"

Then a barrage of thanks is being given, so many that it made it impossible to hear any of them out.

…

…

*Static*

'STRAW BOY!'

"Bon!" Luffy screamed, seeing the baby snail responded with it crying and giving a final transmission.

'Find Ace, save him and DON'T LOOK BACK!'

Luffy's tears were just pouring out as he listened to his friend's words.

'I know you can do it, and you have lots of friends that will help you!'

The ship had passed through, and the last inch of the gate was about to close-

'I am counting on you! Semper Victoria!'

*BANG!*

And that was the last thing heard as the Gates of Justice have closed down right behind the escapees, losing the pursuing fleet behind them on the opposite side of the gate.

"WE'RE THROUGH!"

And just by that, over 542 prisoners had escaped the infamous Impel Down prison - the biggest breakout of its history.

And it would be followed by the events that would take place on Ace's execution, that was to be set in four hours.

And it was all thanks to the efforts of one former Legion officer - who despite his differences, was the one of the toughest men to have ever entered Impel Down.

Control Room - Impel Down

"AAAAH!" Bon Clay removed the coat off his back and showed his bandaged body as he now faced off both the Warden and Vice Admiral, both of whom were ready for action like he was.

Momousagi held her blade Konpira, and warned. "Last time, surrender!"

"Sorry but I refuse!" Bon Clay said with a tears-covered face as he had been crying. "Come right at me!"

"DIE!" Magellan shouted as he went on the offensive. "YOU PIRATE SCUM!"

"WITH PLEASURE!"

…

But while the fighting continued upon Level 1. Down in Level 6 where the action had long been believed to have died down, more sinister faces were looking up. And soon, they themselves would cause havoc, that many would be unprepared for.

Now with one Blackbeard seen entering the area.

"Zehahaha…."

So that is the end of the Impel Down Arc, folks! Hoped you all liked it and that you also are equally liking the Whitebeard War soon!

Also, I have got to say that I have already started to have a Naruto/Domino moment in the next chapter, *wink* *wink* for you all know. Let alone that the Naruto/multi pairing at this point is already decided, with an healthy good sum of girls for Naruto, of whom will find out more next chapter, so be excited to know I got plans for the next chapters.
