"That's a lot of pirates…"

From the large distance on the hilltop that overlooked the valley of Grove #46, it was filled with over a hundred pirates who came to the recruitment drive of the Straw Hat crew imposters. Both Reiser and Foster who were manning the hidden MG nest were certain of the numbers, they also identified some of the attendees, if there were any big-named individuals among them.

"Lip 'Service' Doughty," Foster spotted through his binoculars, asking, "What was his count again?"

"Let me see…" Reiser ran through the bounty posters and came across hers. "Nothing much, around 88 million."

"Huh, sounds about right, he was never one to be smart so no wonder he'd show up for the recruitment drive," Foster said as he continued looking for some big heads. "Also I think I see Gashed Albion."

"92 million Belli, same case, dumb muscle." Reiser wrote him off as he went next, "There is the Caribou Pirates, see them?"

Focusing on a large group of pirates who were white fat chubby looking people who resembled the bigger white ugly-looking "Blood-Splatterer" Coribou. A man with a reputation that proceeded him to have got him 190,000,000 Belli on his head, but he was just the second-in-command of his brother.

Dark skin and dark hair wet looking hair with a long tongue "Wet-Haired" Caribou, captain of the pirate crew that carried his name, held a 210,000,000 Belli bounty over his head that made him the biggest dog in this group of pirates. He's just as vicious as his brother, who'd followed his orders.

"If only bullets could go through that bastard…" Reiser said, glaring at the man just mentioned, his eyes over the sight of the machine gun, "I remember him…"

Foster glanced at his comrade and could only understand him, with Caribou having once crossed paths with this excuse of a man, it was best not to go into this conversation as it could be seen in Fritz's eyes.

He'd seen that look once, back in the Shinobi continent…

"Guys."

The two turned around to see that Naruto approached their position as he kneeled beside them and sat behind the small bushes that concealed their position, asking them on the spot.

"Give me a status report."

"Here, sir." While debriefing his captain, Foster handed over his binoculars for Naruto to use, "Just as we expected, over a hundred, mainly grunts but also some big shots."

"Well, that's to be expected but I see some heavyweights among their ranks that I suspect aren't going to be loyal to these imposters…" Naruto said lowering the binoculars, "The moment they find out, they'll be finding Black in ten different places."

"Three-Tongued Demalo Black, haven't heard that name in a long time," Foster said pulling out a poster of the fat man, "26 mill bounty, I don't know how he got even to this part of the Grand Line or even convince people he's Straw Hat."

"How's the kid anyway?" Reiser asked, turning to his captain, "It has been a while since we heard from him."

"He's doing alright, spoke to him just this morning," Naruto said turning to the pioneer with a smirk, "You've grown fond of him, aren't you?"

By this Reiser just smirked, "Good to know, so what else we got?"

"I heard there was an incident in Grove #42," Foster said, having heard some rumors going through the place, "some pirate ship got sliced up to bits by some green-haired swordsman."

"That doesn't surprise me."

"He was taking a nap on that ship and that was his reason for slicing it up."

"Kinda overkill but understandable." Reiser said with a chuckle, "Nothing irritates a man than being disturbed from his sleep."

Naruto just shook his head in amusement at his friend's sense of humor as he was about to give the binoculars back to Foster-

Just then the sound of footsteps alerted the three until they noticed someone else had just joined the bushes with them, put his crutches next to him, and grabbed a long rife prepared.

"Just on time, Luca."

Preparing his large anti-material Mauser rifle, Luca was on the ground and blending in the bushes while watching the group of pirates growing and growing by the minute, with him also having a transponder snail laid next to him.

"Might want to listen to this, sir."

Naruto took the transponder snail and asked, "What is it?"

"The Marines, sir. I've tapped into their communications. Listen."

"This is Grove #46, Rookies who have joined the Straw Hats keep showing up here. I see some captains."

Once again, Naruto was prompted to use his binoculars as he started scanning the area for where he could be after Hearin let him realize that a Marine was also watching the meeting. A scout who was well away and able to observe the pirates up close may have been an undercover agent or one who recognized the same well-known pirates that his men had pointed out.

Then he spotted the marine, sitting behind some ruins with a transponder snail, talking to his superiors while not knowing he already had been spotted.

"Should we intervene?"

"No, we'll give our position away, it's too early." Luca said looking through his binoculars, shaking his head, "Besides, the rookie marine made a mistake getting too close to the damn meeting."

"He's just a kid."

"A kid who should've known better than to get close to a big pirate meeting without backup. We intervene now, we'll be outnumbered and lose the element of surprise."

"Ahhhhhhh!"

"Hey, what's wrong?! Answer! This is bad! Tell the backup to hurry!"

The transponder snail repeated the same dialogue being intercepted, meaning more Marines were soon to come, so Naruto had to act fast.

"I'll try to get close to them, Luca, your coat."

"Grab it."

Naruto took the brown coat and took it over his disguise as he put his hood over his head to conceal his identity as he left the bushes. Meanwhile, the three men were forced to watch Caribou torment the unfortunate marine who tried to grab his gun and instead got stabbed in the gut and made a mock prayer.

"You think the captain will attempt to save him?"

"You mean that marine? I doubt it, Caribou is a sadistic bastard." Reiser responded to his comrade's question while aiming the MG. "At this point, a mercy shot might be better for him instead of a cruel death by that man."

"Mercy shot? Really?" Foster asked, shaking his head, "Is it really necessary?"

Luca interjected, "I'll only do it when it's needed."

"I wish we were passed that."

Once he had approached the crowd as fast as he could, the disguised Naruto made his way through with little attention being paid to him as the fake Straw Hats took the stage on some ruins, with the fake Luffy rambling about wanting revenge on someone who had just disrespected him. Standing among them was Luffy himself who was oblivious to the fact these imposters were going to try to punish him.

'When are you going to put a hole into that asshole's face?'

'Nice hearing you too again.'

'Oh please as if you don't want to end his existence as well.'

'Right now I'm trying to locate Luffy and get out of here, the Marines can have that idiot.'

'Black, that name rings bells….'

'With your long lifespan, I wouldn't be surprised.'

'Little brat.'

Not having paid attention to the speech the fake Straw Hat was making, the two noticed something else.

'Looks like the Marines have arrived.'

'Yeah, and in big numbers also.'

Turning around to their surroundings, the former Legion officer saw the large concentration of Marines having besieged the pirate meeting and catching the entire pirate gathering off guard. The only thing that needed to be added was a reason for this standoff to escalate…

"AHHHH!"

The marine scout screamed in pain as Caribou giggled like a lunatic, enjoying tormenting the young man as he dropped him with the spear still stuck inside the marine's gut.

"What the hell are you doing Caribou we need him alive! Are you even listening?!"

Caribou laughed and turned his head "Although it will be convenient I'm afraid it won't do." He turned back to the marine, "Because he told me he hadn't called the navy yet, and that makes him a filthy little liar." He pulled out the pistol he had stolen from the marine earlier and pointed at him.

The wounded scout looked at him and turned pale, with the fake Straw Hat captain demanding.

"Caribou No!"

Caribou was about to pull the trigger…

"Despicable pirate…"

"Huh?"

PUNCH!

Naruto, in the full eye of the public with his coat falling off, punched his prosthetic arm Caribou right across the face, knocking the sadistic pirate away with body flying several meters away to where his crew was.

"CAPTAIN CARIBOU!"

The wounded marine gasped out of surprise. He was just saved, but what got him gasping for air was the person who came to his rescue.

Naruto grabbed and adjusted his prosthetic arm, he looked with disgust at the long-tongued bastard.

"I don't like sadists, you nut…"

With Caribou knocked out, he could hear numerous guns being pointed at him, turning to the Marines who were the first party to do so.

"That's Uzumaki Naruto! Arrest him!"

The sudden intrusion got even the pirates to be left shocked as the former Foreign Legion officer was among them.

"Everyone!"

The pirates turned to the fake Luffy, who stood there addressing the pirates with an offer he made while pointing at Naruto.

"Take out Uzumaki! Whoever kills him will be my second mate!"

This offer left many pirates and even some marines confused about who heard that, with some openly doubting the logic of it.

"Wait, those two broke out of Impel Down together, fought in Marineford, and survived." One Marine questioned, "Why would Straw Hat turn on him?"

An injured marine wiped his mouth dry from the blood and, "Who knows what happened in those two years, Perhaps they've fallen out."

A grinning pirate stated, seemingly unconcerned, "Who cares, if we kill him our crew will be notorious." GET HIM!"

"YEAH!"

Roaring with envied confidence the pirates went on the assault in the dozen against Naruto trying to overwhelm him, with the Marines charging from the other side trying to get to him before the other side could get him. Facing the prospect of getting attacked on two sides, outnumbered and heavily outgunned, the blond needed to act now.

'You're going to use it?'

'Looks like it.'

'You're going to scare a lot of people with these powers, kid.'

'I've been dying to use it.'

Reaching for his holster, but instead, Naruto made his fist with his good arm, as energy began to build up and more in that fist of his.

"Wait."

"What is he doing?"

Luffy, who happened to look from a distance then realized and began to grab for something as then-

*CRACK!*

With a single punch to the ground with the power Naruto just released, the earth around him erupted with cracks and came up like an earthquake that took everything with it, with the first victims to be hit were the unfortunate pirates and marines who were closest to Naruto and got either send off flying or caught in the earthquake and buried underneath it.

The quake caught everyone by surprise and soon it was felt across the archipelago.

On the Thousand Sunny, the inhabitants of the vessel were one of the first to feel it given the proximity, with reactions varying to different degrees.

One of the calm but cautious reactions was coming from the blue-haired cyborg shipwright named Franky, who kept himself on his two bare feet and adjusted his sunglasses, looking at which direction the quake came from, and seeing if the coating got affected by it.

Two of the more fearful reactors were holding themselves on the mast of the ship, Tony Tony Chopper and Usopp.

"An earthquake! Where did it come from?!"

"I DON'T WANNA DIE!" Chopper yelled as he barely could hold onto the mast, tears visible in his eyes.

"What the heck was that!?" Nami asked while holding onto the railings, keeping herself on her feet as she turned to Robin who was just sitting there, smiling with a small giggle.

"WHAT THE HELL IS SO FUNNY ABOUT THAT ROBIN! WE COULD DIE!" Usopp barked at the archaeologist.

"Because Usopp you don't need to worry." She smiled at the sniper, "I think I know who's responsible for this."

"Huh? Who is it then?" Nami asked, "Is it the Navy?"

"Oh, I'm not going to spoil it for you." Robin replied with her innocent-looking smile, "But I will say this is nothing compared to what I witnessed."

"THAT DOESN'T HELP!" Usopp and Chopper yelled.

Meanwhile in the same Grove where the quake came from, panic erupted with everybody running for their lives, with only two individuals standing there in calm. That was Roronoa Zoro and "Black Leg" Sanji, both having just halted their little altercation with one another once they felt the shock.

"I know that's no ordinary earthquake," Sanji said taking the cigarette out from his mouth and looking around, "It came from somewhere here."

Zoro turned his head only slightly and heard the commotion coming from the valley area, seeing it come from there, where a big cloud of dust had covered the entire area as if an explosion had taken place.

"It's there…let's go!"

"Hold up!"

Both Straw Hats ran for the area as quickly as they could.

On ground zero, those who could still stand up did so with them being in fewer numbers than before, the wounded ranged from both those struck by debris to being knocked out from the shockwave. On both sides, people started getting up from their feet and wondering what just happened.

"What the hell…"

"What…just happened…"

"That was…a quack…" a marine started, standing up with his head bleeding and holding a rifle, "The only one who could create earthquakes was…"

Slowly both sides turned to where Naruto stood, in the center of a crater where he just a moment ago unleashed his power for everyone to witness, with shredded earth and rocks all around him with men buried underneath.

"...Please don't tell me…"

Without even needing to be said everybody started to back off slowly and try not to piss off the blond man who they now viewed as out of their league Naruto walked out of the crater and saw the looks in the eyes of the hundreds of men standing in front of him.

"Wanna fight? Come on then." Naruto said pulling out his Tantō and calling out, "Step out!"

None of the pirates or marines did so and some even took a step back, out of genuine fear with some not daring to raise their arms against him.

"The hell!"

The fake ake Luffy and other imposters rose from the debris, bruised and bloodied, the fat fake began demanding immediately.

"Who is responsible for this!"

"Hey, it's Captain Luffy!" a pirate yelled. "He can beat him!"

The fake Luffy turned to the person who was responsible, his face bleak the moment he saw who it was…and who was looking back at him.

Naruto faced the fraud and only a few words needed to be said,

"Demalo Black…"

Gasping in fear, the fake Luffy was about to respond in anger-

"Straw Hat."

When he heard that voice, Naruto turned to see a familiar figure approaching Black from behind, carrying a massive axe and wearing a traditional, red tsuna with his Marine coat.

"He's all yours…"

Naruto vanished, leaving Demalo Black alone with Sentomaru, who was joined by two Pacifistas.

"Why are they calling you Straw Hat Luffy?" Sentomaru asked unimpressed, examining the man, "You don't look like much."

Fake Luffy felt nervous and responded harshly. "Hey, you! Don't you know who I am? Get out of my way or I'll kill you and put out your bowels!" Backing up his empty threats, the boasting began. "This may surprise you! I'm the Revolutionary Dragon's son! And the grandson of the Hero - Garp!"

Sentomaru listened silently, gripping his battleaxe.

"I wreaked havoc during the War of the Best!" The fake continued his act with snot hanging from his nose with the conviction of his lies, "I'm a big-time pirate with a 400 million bounty - Straw-"

Before he could finish, Sentomaru, finally fed up with his lies, smashed Demalo Black over the skull with the flat of his axe, his face contorting with disgust and rage.

"STRAWHAT IS NOT SCUM LIKE YOU!"

The pirates just looked on in total disbelief at what they just saw and collectively said.

"WHAAAAAT?!"

The sight of the now pummeled bleeding fake Straw Hat now lying on the ground was a horrifying sight of their captain being taken out in a single blow.

"Straw Hat Boss!"

"I see." Sentomaru now figured it out, "They all got fooled and became his crew." Ordering then one of the Pacifistas, "PX-5, who is he for real?"

One of the Pacifistas took a look at him and scanned the identity of the mumbling form of the form of fake Luffy - and revealed his identity.

"His name is "Triple Tongued" Demalo Black - a 26 million Belli bounty."

"HE'S A FAKE?!"

"What?" Luffy, still in disguise reacted, "So he was posing as me? That Sanji and Zoro too?"

"You just figured it out?"

Luffy heard that and looked beside him, seeing it was Naruto in his coat, "Oh, Naruto. There you are. Are you seeing this? He was posing as me."

Founding himself even more stunned by this reaction to such a situation like this, Naruto just blinked a few times at the young kid and could only smirk as he could not blame him for being like that.

The two then proceeded to leave the scene, now that everyone was distracted by the debacle, this was the perfect opportunity.

"You're lucky the people you've run into are profoundly stupid to get tricked into that disguise of yours."

Luffy asked in surprise, "Really?"

*PEW!*

Then the two reacted quickly and jumped away, just before a lightning beam landed on the place they just stood there a moment ago, both landed on the same exact spot where they just left.

"That was close."

Luffy's disguise then dropped off his face for everyone to see who he was.

"What are you doing?!" Luffy demanded the person who shot at him, "This bag is holding all my precious lunches!"

"Guess that disguise is not useful anymore."

At this point, those who turned their attention to the two were left with a few reactions.

Stunned.

Disbelief.

Fear.

Excitement.

But one pirate, who happened to hold a wanted poster dropped it down saying,

"H-Here's his poster…"

The poster fell and that showed it to be Luffy's picture.

"LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME!"

"STRAW HAT LUFFY - AND THE CUNNING FOX UZUMAKI NARUTO?! SIDE BY SIDE!"

"Brace up!" One marine officer ordered his men. "We came here to catch the real one anyway!"

"Now they want you…hehe." Naruto smirked and said, "It's a pretty good way to announce your comeback."

"Straw Hat!" Sentomaru called out, "Uzumaki!"

"Ah, Sentomaru, been a while." Naruto said giving a small wave to the man, "Must say, you're far away where you're supposed to be."

"You shut your mouth this instance about it!" Sentomaru yelled before pointing to Luffy, "As for you!"

"Oh, it's you!" Luffy recognized him, not happy at all, "Are you gonna get in my way again?! I've been told to not cause trouble in order to set sail!"

"Don't worry! You don't need to set sail!" Sentomaru said as his marine jacket in display. "Unlike 2 years ago, I'm officially a member of the Navy now!"

"Took you long enough, but what a shame, "Naruto joked, "You fit much better than those assholes-"

"Silence!" barked Sentomaru, "PX-5!"

The Pacifista reacted, opening its mouth and aiming at Naruto, the most important target.

**PEW-PEW-PEW!**

Three rapid-fire beams lanced out towards both of them. Naruto barely dodged, tilting his head to let a beam past.

"Too slow," he commented idly. Behind him, a Grove Tree exploded as all three shots struck it.

"What...?" murmured Sentomaru in response.

Cracking his neck, Naruto asked, "Luffy, wanna get even with these mechanical bastards?"

Luffy responded with a stern face. "Of course…"

Luffy stood there, ready to unleash some of his training.

"Second Gear…"

Raising his arm out, the muscles pumped up as a glow of pink and steam erupted from Luffy's skin, preparing an attack he was making for the Pacifista that was between him and his crew, his adventure.

"Gum Gum…"

The Pacifista went on the assault and jumped right for the ruins with two more beams fired from its mouth, Luffy disappeared from the spot.

*POW!*

Luffy's fist smashed into the Pacifista's head brutally before the mechanical monster could even react, crashing into the ground with a crater made by its impact.

"Jet Pistol!"

The shockwave that followed left the spectating pirates and marines in shock once more, having just witnessed the unimaginable of a Pacifista being taken out in one move, Sentomaru figured it out quickly with a concerned thought.

'Straw Hat…is using Haki! Has Uzumaki been training him?'

The thoughts however were interrupted by the explosion that came from the downed Pacifista that couldn't process it anymore and became unusable for now, just when Luffy was going back to the ruins next to Naruto, impressed by what he just witnessed.

'So just what I expected, he learned how to use Haki now.'

'Had any doubts?'

'No, he's too unpredictable when it comes to fighting, just like you.'

Landing in front of the blond, the smiling Luffy looked at Naruto with a wide grin.

"What do you think?"

"I'm glad you've improved, but let's keep the compliments for later," Naruto said, handing over the large backpack of Luffy to him with one arm, "Time to meet your crew, shall we?"

Luffy snickered before grabbing the backpack and carrying it, even waving off Sentomaru, "See ya! I think I'll see you somewhere again!"

"Wait! Straw Hat!"

"Don't let Straw Hat get away!" One Marine officer ordered the men to follow orders and take the chase after him, "Him and Uzumaki!"

But then gunfire erupted as the chasing marines found themselves getting shot at with overwhelming firepower, cutting the chase short with many of them either getting hit or forced to lay down on the ground for cover.

"What the- why are you not moving?!"

"That's machine gun fire, sir!" One marine responded while lying down, bullets whistling over their heads, "We cannot move!"

"I order you to get up and move!" The officer ordered them, pulling out his sword, "We will not let them escape-"

*BANG!*

"Ugh!" The marine officer fell to his back when a loud gunshot was heard, with him taking one to the chest, he fell in front of his men who watched in shock at him being taken out in a single blow.

"Sniper!"

…

"One less marine officer…."

Removing the bullet from the chamber, Luca puts a new one in as he manages to take his first kill of the day, with Foster having pinpointed the officer with his binoculars, witnessing the deed.

"That's got to be a record. You think they saw us?"

The answer was gunfire erupting and nearing their position, with whistles and some leaves getting shot off from the bushes.

"They see us now!" Reiser responded as he aimed with the MG, "Suppressing fire!"

The three men began firing back on the valley where the marines were coming from in large numbers, who in response were firing back with their rifles and some even bringing out cannons to counter the three military men.

With a burst of fire, Reiser laid it back to the Marines, picking his targets quickly and mowing down individual if not groups of advancing men in his range, the MG was quickly running through its ammo belt as Fritz made sure to not waste any ammo.

"See you six feet under!" Reiser growled as he fired more with his MG before yelling, "We need to leave, now!"

"Get the ammo, Luca!" Foster shouted as he loaded another strip into his rifle before grabbing for the machine gun that Fritz began to dismantle, "Reiser, the sling strap!"

"Right!" Reiser pulled one out, connecting it to the machine gun he pulled out from the tripod and slung the heavy gunnery around his body before he retreated, "Let's go!"

Luca got up from his cover with the rifle, he followed suit, leaving the position just as more gunfire concentrated and the bush hiding spot got hit with a cannonball.

*BOOM!*

Luffy and Naruto both ran through the field and watched as the gunfight unfolded right in front of them, with Luffy seeing where the Marines were shooting and wondering.

"Your friends?"

"They are, no worries - it's Foster, Luca, and Reiser," Naruto replied, "You remember Fritz, don't you?"

"Ooh! Fritz! Yeah, I remember him!" Luffy smiled as he kept running, "Shishishishi, he's funny!"

"Hey, Luffy!"

Luffy hearing that voice looked onwards, seeing two men in distinctive clothing running towards him. It was Zoro and Sanji - the first of the Straw Hat crew he finally reunited with.

"Luffy! I knew it was you!" Sanji waved him on as he ran, "Why are you always in trouble?"

Naruto turns to him, "Your crew?"

"Yeah!" Luffy smiled happily as he shouted at them, "Oh! It's no mistake this time! It's been a while, guys!"

"PX-7!"

The remaining Pacifista flew through the dust cloud and interrupted the small reunion, beginning on calculating and targeting the Straw Hats and Uzumaki, PX-7's mouth already began glowing for the next strike.

However Zoro and Sanji already began making their moves: with Sanji swirling around for his leg that caught fire while the swordsman began preparing his three swords - with the intention of not working together, but-

"Outta my way!"

*KICK!*

*SLASH!*

The result was the Pacifista getting sliced across the body while its neck looked like it got torn into two, the unintentional combined attack of both the Three-Swor Styled Zoro and Black Leg Sanji was enough to kick PX-7 into immobility.

"I cut him!"

"No! I broke his neck!"

*BANG!*

But the finishing touch to PX-7's destruction was a bullet going right through its mechanic head and exploding it right before it fell flat on the ground in flames, just when the two pirates landed in front of their captain.

"Hey, Luffy, you're the 9th" Zoro brought up out of nowhere, and noticed his friend, "And who's he?"

"Shut up, cut it out!" Sanji told Zoro off before turning to his captain, "Luffy, hurry up! Everybody's waiting at the ship."

"Okay!" Luffy said before turning to Naruto, "You coming too?"

*BOOM!*

Just then another explosion erupted just behind the Straw Hats, seeing the Marines got stopped for a while, emerging from the smoke was Foster leading the group of three, with Reiser carrying the MG with Luca with his Mauser Rifle and a pistol.

"We're here, boss!" Reiser said while firing the machine gun that he wore with a sling strap, into the smoke at the marines, despite the gun being heavy he smiled at Luffy, "Hey, kid! Been a while!"

Luffy smiled, "Good to see you too, Fritz!"

"Oi, Luffy," Zoro asked, "Who are these guys anyway?"

Another explosion rocked as this was closer to the group, ending the conversation before it could even start as they resumed to move.

"No time for introductions, people, we gotta move!"

They continued on as they were running away from the Marines who were hot on their tail, they however were forced to stop again once Luffy stopped in his tracks.

"Hey!" Zoro asked turning around, "What's wrong?"

Naruto and his men also noticed the shooting got to an abrupt end when the presence of one man got everybody to stop, seeing an old man standing there who Luffy noticed, smiling.

"Rayleigh!"

The smiling Rayleigh was watching from a distance and smiled at the two young promising young men, The first was Luffy who he wanted to see goodbye and the other was Uzumaki.

"I came here to check, but you seem alright." Rayleigh spoke with pride at his pupil, "Your power sure has improved. And so has yours - Naruto."

Noticing the eyes turning to the two, Naruto saw his own men were astonished by what the former Vice Captain of the King of Pirates said about him, but he'd explain it to them later.

"Uh-huh!" Luffy responded.

Rayleigh smiled, "Now go to your friends."

"Uh-huh! Rayleigh!" Luffy began, "Thank you for everything these past 2 years!"

"You're out of character - just go!"

Luffy however dropped his bag, confusing everyone, including the legendary pirate himself, before he spread his arms up.

"One last thing! I'm gonna do it! I'm going to be the king of the pirates! YOU HEAR ME?!"

The promise the young ambitious pirate made to the legendary one was an admirable scene to behold, but it would cut short with Naruto reminding.

"As much as I hate to break it to you, we gotta move."

They all ran off as Luffy thanked him again and soon joined them running. With Rayleigh smiled as he watched the kids go.
