"MOVE AWAY YOU PEONS! DON'T YOU SEE MY WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL QUEEN WALKING MAJESTICALLY HERE!?!"
The Blood Devil could be seen out in public, and was in the middle of yelling at all the human civilians she would come across, as well as forcefully shoving them away without care. Most would assume she was doing this because of her general dislike towards mankind, which was definitely a part of it.
"Power, please stop…"
Though the main reason for all this would be Kobeni Higashiyama herself, as not only was the Fiend clearing a path for her, but ever since her promotion, she has been treated even more like a queen. She was even wearing a queen-like robe and crown, which she had no idea where she got them.
"These pathetic humans need to know when her grace is coming and when to bow before her greatness!"
As usual, Power always takes things too far, doing everything to the extreme, no matter how much of nuisance or menace she was being.
'I should've just stayed home…'
Kobeni couldn't help but feel embarrassed, especially with all the weird and annoyed looks she was getting from the people around her. She felt like dying alone in a hole somewhere far away and hidden.
'I need to distract Power somehow before she gets in trouble again.'
As Kobeni was trying to think up of a solution to stop horned blonde madness, she noticed something that caught her attention and instantly had an idea.
"Um, Oh Power, my feet hurt, can we rest inside this building to rest in?"
Kobeni tried her best to make up an excuse to both catch the Blood Devil's attention and to go inside a building next to herself.
"Oh Course My Queen! Her Royal Highness Needs Her Rest After All!"
Power wasted no time doing as her Queen requested, rushing towards the building that was pointed out to her and slamming the door open, breaking it in the process.
"BEHOLD! MY QUEEN HAS REQUESTED A PLACE TO REST, NOW BOW BEFORE HER OR… Or… or?..."
However, just as Power was going to demand respect and submission for her Queen, her yelling and rambling were suddenly cut short when she finally realized where she was, which was some kind of cat cafe, and she could see all the different types of cats, young and old, big and small, and many shapes and colors.
"... SO MANY MEOWYS!~"
And once Power processed what she was seeing, she didn't hesitate to drive right in and start hugging and nuzzling all the cats she could hold in her arms, giggling and laughing like a child in a candy store.
"I'm sorry about this, here, this should cover the damage, plus extra…"
After Kobeni paid the manager so much money, in the hope of making up for whatever might happen today, she went to where her Fiend was and just took a seat nearby.
'I wasn't lying about my feet hurting, ugh…'
Kobeni sighs and takes this moment to recover from the walking and dealing with the horned blonde, but as she tries to relax, a random cat jumps on her shoulder and nuzzles against her neck, which makes her smile softly in response.
"Hello there cutie~"
Kobeni's petting the cat didn't go unnoticed by the Blood Devil, as while she was basically covered in cats that climbed all over her body, she looked at her Queen and puffed and pouted with extreme jealousy.
"My Queen!"
Power gently puts down the cats and quickly crawls up to her Queen, sitting on her knees before her.
"Yes Power?"
Kobeni looks at the Fiend, looking somewhat confused on what she is currently doing.
"Meow!~"
Though it didn't take long to figure out, as Power, the so-called "Proud and Prideful Devil", suddenly started to meow like a cat.
"H-Huh?"
Kobeni was even more confused by this, as she had just watched the horned blonde not only make cat noises, but also start to act like one, crawling on all fours, nuzzling, and rubbing against her Queen, even making purring sounds.
"Nya!~"
Power looks up at her Queen with such wide eyes of bright innocence.
"U-Um, good kitty?..."
Kobeni, not really sure how to respond to this, just simply played along and pets the Blood Devil, hoping this was what she wanted.
"Purrs!~"
Apparently it was, maybe, as Power smiles brightly from the petting, and once she was given such affection, she then jumps onto and lays against her Queen, purring more and rubbing herself against her, who still understood nothing.
"... Why do you treat me like this?"
And after reaching the limit of not understanding anything, Kobeni decided to just ask what was going on, hoping to understand what was actually happening with the Fiend and why she was doing what she does.
"Because I Love You And Admire You So Much!~"
Though when asked, Power didn't hesitate to answer the question, though what she did answer was definitely unexpected and would cause most to be surprised to be told this.
"Power…"
But Kobeni, not only was she already used to such a surprise, also didn't really believe in said answer either, clearly wanting to know the real reason.
"You're Super Cool And Amazing, You're Just The Best At Everything!~"
But Power just doubled down in what she was saying to her Queen.
"Power."
Kobeni, well, she didn't think she was lying completely, but she knew better that it wasn't the entire truth and still wanted the real answer.
"ALSO! You're Definitely Way Better Than Makima, You Should Most Definitely Overthrow Her And Maybe Kill-"
"POWER!!!"
Though what truly crossed the line and made Kobeni frustrated was when Power almost mentioned and suggested that they should "Overthrow Makima", which of course the Deviltrix host had to yell at the horned blonde to stop before she could say more than that.
"I-I'm sorry…"
But after getting yelled out, the once proud and loud Power had immediately got startled and back away with a whimper
"Huh?"
Which definitely caught Kobeni's attention and surprised her. She was about to reach and ask what was wrong, but barely moving towards the Blood Devil was enough to make her flinch and whimper.
"Are… Are you scared of me?"
Kobeni went eyes wide slightly, as she soon realized that the Fiend was actually scared of her.
"Why are you scared of me? I know I just got mad at you, but you know I would never do anything more than that."
Kobeni frowns and tilts her head in confusion, as she can't imagine a reason why anyone would be scared of her, let alone the horned blonde, you know, the literal Devil.
"... Because you're strong…"
After a moment of silence, Power finally spoke up again, this time, not in her usual loud tone, instead, it was much softer than before, as well as quiet.
"I'm strong?"
And it was with such a tone that Kobeni was able to believe the Blood Devil more in what she said, though what she did say still left her wondering what she meant.
"... As the representation of the Fear of Blood, I'm not that strong of a Devil…"
Power looks away from the shape-shifter and turns her attention towards the cat on her lap.
"And I know what happens to those that are weak…"
Power then picks up the cat and holds them closely to herself, using the feline to comfort herself.
"So I learned very quickly, to survive, you must serve the strongest…"
Flashes of memories flooded Power's mind, most of them were about herself, back in Hell, surrounded by many scary and powerful Devils that looked down at her with evil and sadistic expressions.
"As well as fear them…"
A moment of silence fell before Power and Higashiyama, both taking in on what was just said, and processing on how to respond and proceed from this.
"... I think you're a strong Devil."
Kobeni scoots closer to the Fiend, making her flinch again, but couldn't really go anywhere further.
"I'm pretty sure if things went differently, I would be the weak one compared to you, and most likely get bullied by you."
And since Kobeni was allowed to not only get much closer to the horned blonde but also take the opportunity to pet her head again, with less hesitation this time.
"I-I would never!"
Power blushes brightly from the petting as she tries to deny such accusations.
"Hehe, you're such a liar~"
Kobeni just giggled as she stopped petting and just relaxed into the seat, allowing more cats to climb on and nuzzle her, one of them even resting on top of her belly.
"You're my great and mighty Power, don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
Kobeni rubs the cats on her belly as she continues to speak with the Blood Devil.
"Because to me, you are your name."
Kobeni then wore a simple but warm smile, which was aimed and seen by the Fiend, who could only blush harder in response
"Y-You really think so?"
"Would your Queen ever lie to her Knight?~"
Power shyly looks away in embarrassment after receiving such words of encouragement and kindness from Kobeni.
"Hehe, thank you for such nice words, my Queen~"
However after a moment of bonding was just had, all the fear went away from Power and confidence was once again restored.
"AND ALLOW ME TO SHOW YOU HOW STRONG I AM BY TURNING THIS MEOWY PARADISE INTO YOUR KINGDOM!~"
And once Power was back to her usual loud self, she wasted no time showing her appreciation and admiration for her Queen by running off and attempting to take over the cat cafe, much to the terror of the manager.
'So much for that…'
Kobeni lets out a sigh and shakes her head. She was honestly expecting this, but was still disappointed. At the same time, she couldn't help but chuckle to herself, looking at her belly bump and giving it a soft rub, feeling her babies shift around inside.
'I can only wish you luck when you finally meet your Aunty Powie~...'
Since we don't really know a lot about the past of Power, I'll try to add something maybe in the future, we'll see.
(BTW, I'm not saying Power is weak, but being the concept of Blood, I can't imagine she's very powerful, however that won't be the case for the future, hehe~)
