Summary: It's time for opening match as we see former TDW World Heavyweight Champion Mike Smith wrestle Jose Burromuerto in a number one contender's match to determine who'll challenge Jay Morris for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Canadian Stampede.

The fans were ready for the action to finally start.
"Welcome back fans to Total Drama Wrestling as we are about to see former TDW World Heavyweight Champion, Mike Smith take on Jose Burromuerto of The Empire in the first of four number one contender matches as this match determines who will challenge "The Canadian Dragon" Jay Morris for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Canadian Stampede which will be live from the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta." Joey said before "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica began to play before Jose Burromuerto came out to loud boos from the crowd, before the bell rang.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, our opening contest, live from the Bell Centre… is a number one contender's match where the winner will challenge for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Canadian Stampede, set for one-fall! Introducing first, from Barcelona, Spain… weighing in at 255 Pounds… Jose Burromuerto!" Justin Roberts announced while Jose walked down the entrance ramp before he entered the ring, then his music stopped.
"It's been a while since we have seen Jose Burromuerto in singles action." Mauro said before "Demons" by Imagine Dragons began to play before Mike Smith came out to cheers from the crowd.
"Introducing the opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada… weighing in at 220 Pounds… Mike Smith!" Justin Roberts announced while Mike walked down the entrance ramp, feeling confident.
"Mike Smith who's not only a former TDW World Heavyweight Champion, he's also a former TDW Hardcore champion as well, so he would like to add the Intercontinental title to his resume." Joey said before Mike then entered the ring, as his music stopped playing, before the bell rang, meaning that the match was underway, as the match began with Mike and Jose staring each other down.
"Here we go! Tonight's action is officially underway as we see who'll challenge the "Canadian Dragon" Jay Morris for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Canadian Stampede." Mauro said before Mike and Jose then grappled in the collar-and-elbow tie up.
"Collar and elbow tie up." Joey said before Jose nailed an arm drag, and followed that up with a hard running forearm elbow to Mike's face, before he even followed that up with a running neckbreaker.
"Running neckbreaker by Jose!" Mauro said before Jose then attempted to nail a hard German Suplex, but Mike landed on his feet, and responded with a hard German Suplex of his own.
"OHHHHH!" The crowd groaned before Mike then nailed Jose with a brutal Death Valley Driver, before following that up with a springboard moonsault.
"Mike Smith is now on fire!" Joey said before Mike then pinned Jose.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before Jose kicked out, Mike then attempted a spinning heel kick but Jose avoided it and nailed Mike with a hard and brutal snap German Suplex, before following that up with an enziguiri before nailing Mike with a cross-armed piledriver.
"Jose with the cross-armed piledriver onto Mike!" Mauro said before Jose then nailed the Fireman's Carry Powerbomb, not once, but twice.
"Two Fireman's Carry Powerbombs by Jose, this could be game over for Mike!" Joey said before Jose pinned Mike.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before he saw Mike's foot on the bottom rope.
"Mike's foot is on the bottom rope!" Mauro said before Jose looked angry.
"QUE?! ESTO ES UNA PUTA MIERDA!" Jose asked and shouted at the referee.
"Jose is fired up after the referee told him that Mike's foot was on the bottom rope." Joey said before Jose then dragged Mike to the center of the ring, and attempted another Fireman's Carry Powerbomb to Mike who then blocked Jose, with several hard elbows.
"OH! Mike with some really hard elbows to Jose!" Mauro shouted before Mike then nailed a hard German Suplex to Jose, before following that up with a hard spinning heel kick, then he followed by nailing one of his finishers which was a handspring cutter called "Terminato" to Jose.
"Terminato by Mike Smith who is on fire!" Joey said before Mike nailed another Terminato to Jose before pinning him.
"Mike's going for the win right now!" Mauro said before the ref began to count.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted Jose kicked out, Mike then attempted a Sicilian Splash only for Jose to catch him midair and nail his Fireman's Carry Powerbomb, following that up with a cross armed piledriver.
"Jose with the Fireman's Carry Powerbomb and another Cross-Armed Piledriver! Jose might be going to Edmonton!" Joey shouted before Jose pinned Mike.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before Mike kicked out at two once again.
"This is awesome!" The crowd chanted before Jose then had Mike on his shoulders once again.
"Jose is going for the kill!" Mauro said before Mike nailed elbows to Jose's head, forcing him to release Mike who then responded with his own Death Valley Driver to Jose.
"Mike with the Death Valley Driver! Mamma Mia! We're witnessing a war, and it's only the opening contest!" Mauro shouted and said to Joey.
"Yeah! Mike and Jose are having a war, even though this is the opening contest, we have more action to come!" Joey said before Mike then climbed up to the top turnbuckle, and nailed a Sicilian Splash to Jose before following that up with a hard Terminato.
"OHHH!" The crowd groaned before Mike pinned Jose.
"Mike could be advancing to Canadian Stampede!" Mauro said before the ref began to count.
"1…! 2…! 3…!" The referee counted as Mike Smith had won the opening match, meaning he'll be challenging Jay Morris at Canadian Stampede for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Edmonton.
"Here is your winner… and the number one contender for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Canadian Stampede… Mike Smith!" Justin Roberts announced.
"What a war we have witnessed to start it off tonight!" Joey said to Mauro.
"I agree Joey Styles, and coming up next is Beth Morrow taking on Blaineley O'Halloran… don't go away." Mauro said before the camera faded to black.
