Merope Gaunt: 18 years old
After finally being free from her abusive father and brother, she now finds herself with loneliness. The Riddles, offer to buy the only home she has ever known and the land that belongs to her family. They also offer her a job a job as a live maid. She see's right through their false claims of compassion, since they have known for years she was being abused anddid nothing to help her.
To prove she is not weak and to find her way in this new free world she turns down money but takes their offer of a job. Being able to see their son, Tom is a bonus. At first, she is shy but soon becomes very close with the girls who treat her like a true sister.
While she keeps her magical abilities a secret. The Riddles, soon discover her talent for singing and begin to realize she is worth a lot more than they first thought.
Tom Riddle: 19 years old
He is snobbish, spoiled son of Tomas and Mary Riddle. He was born into privilege and flaunts it often, and uses his good looks to make himself feel , deep down, he knows he isn't the prize he claims to be. Since he has never earned anything in his life. Now as an adult he is trying to live up to his father's standards and is determined to go father than his father ever did.
He has never cared for or showed any compassion to someone lower class than him, but when he remembersa moment from Merope and his past; he starts to realize how morally bankrupt he is. He has a good soul deep inside that his parents taught him to bury until he, himself, didn't believe he had it at all.
Maxwell *Max* Robertson:
A young Scottish man who is a jack of all trades in the Riddle home. He works closely along Thomas Riddle. Because of the closeness Thomas and Max have, he is despised by Tom.
He begins to show interest in Merope, but does he actually like her? Or is she just a challenge to see if he can make a woman fall out of love with the handsome, Tom.
He is kind, charming, and unconventionally handsome. He works hard to fulfill his dream of being a solicitor.
Louisa Davies: 24 years old
Born into a loving home, with a hardworking mother and father. The family fell apart when her father had an affair and took her and her sister Beatrice away from their mother.
Overcome with pain at the loss of her daughters their mother killed herself. She grows to hate her father and step mother. Choosing to leave home and work as a maid just to be away from them. She convinced her sister Beatrice to follow often longs for the attention of older men, and has had a child with one. Though very few know the identity of her daughter's father. She doesn't view herself as a single mother since all the girls (except Valeska and Beatrice) help her.
Her relationship with her younger sister was once close, but is now basically, nonexistent, but she is considered the big sister of all the girls.
Silas Wilson: 44 years old

A musician who has worked for the Riddles family for years. Though Louisa tried to approach him romantically he rejected her believing he was too old and she had a much better future waiting for her. Though he cared and felt love for the birth of her daughter he now finds himself torn on should he do the right and act on his love for Louisa. Not just for her but to make sure her daughter is protected.
He believes he is the only person, besides Louisa, who knows the identity of her daughter's father.
Ivy Roberts:22 years old
She is considered the most beautiful of all the girls and has no problem obtaining men or whatever else she wants. She can come across as annoying for her obsession with partying and having a good time, but she is a very kind person.
She was raised by a mother who was a sex worker, and wasn't above using her daughter's beauty for profit. This lead to her being a bit promiscuous and often finding sexual matters humorous because her mother taught her to, in order to help get through painful and stressful situations.
Kiyoko Suzuki: 20 years old
Born to loving immigrant parents with two siblings. Her parents died when she was ten and she and her brothers were placed in an orphanage. Because of their Ethnicity they were never adopted.
One of her brother's died from smallpox and the other fled to America to start a new life, promising to one day come back to get her.
Her main responsibility is cooking and has very good culinary skills.
Josephine Bennett: 19 years old
Her father died when she was young and when her mother remarried she was forced to drop out of school and enter the work force to make money for them and her step siblings to live off since neither her mom or stepfather wanted to work hard. Once she turned eighteen she cut them off finically and was excommunicated from the family.
She is the free spirited one of the girl group and is more of a tomboy. She is also secretly bisexual and is in love with Alice.
Alice Laurent: 18 years old
Was raised by her loving aunt as a young child along with her older brother, but when their father remarried, when Alice was nine and her brother was eleven, he took them from their aunt. The woman he married was an evil sadistic woman that took pleasure in hurting her and her brother. Though she can't prove it, she knows her brother was poisoned by their step mother resulting in his death, She fled the home before she became the next victim.
She keeps her hair short due to trauma since her step mother often started beating her by grabbing her by her long hair as a than Maureen, she worked for the Riddles the longest starting when she was thirteen. She, also other than Maureen, works the closest to Madam Riddle. Meaning she either faces the most wrath or the least amount of wrath of the girls, depending on Madam's mood and what set her off. She is very resilient and refuses to allow anyone the satisfaction of seeing her trauma.
She is unaware of Josephine's feelings for her, and if she did she isn't sure how she would feel.
Valeska Weber: 50 years old
A former stage actress who tried to make it into the film industry. She often slept with powerful people to get a role but was backstabbed often due to her age. Even though she always knew she was being played her desire for stardom made her continue to be used. She often portrays herself as a once acclaimed actress, but never actually reached the heights, even on stage, she claims.
Because of her past bad financial decisions, what little money she made she used it to give off the image she was rich thus causing her to fall into major debt. Meaning she will most likely have to work for the rest of her life.
She is the most hated woman by the servants because of her resentful and arrogant attitude. She is also hated for the bad influence she is to Beatrice.
Beatrice Davis: 15 years old
The youngest of the servant girls and the younger sister of Louisa. Her relationship with her sister is not a close one since Beatrice feels her sister never encouraged her to go for her dreams of stardom, and instead tried to force her to settle in the life of a maid.
She is closest to Valeska, the most hated, she adores her and does Valeska's every will in the hopes Valeska will help her reach her dreams. Unaware that Valeska is a liar, manipulator, and groomer.
Maureen Livingston: 43 years old
Mary Riddle's childhood friend and originally Tom's nanny. Once he was old enough she became the head maid instead. She still holds a close relationship with Mary though they do not show it in public.
She is harsh to the girls in public but is actually a very kind and down to earth woman. Who loves the girls like they are her own daughters.
Valeska despises her since she is her boss while being younger than her.
Cecilia: 19 years old
She is the snobbish girlfriend of Tom Riddle, and dedicates her life to getting Tom to marry her. Not out of love but for his wealth and status. She manipulates him into getting what she wants, and tries to control him.
Once she learns Tom has a soft spot for Merope she is determined to get her out of the manor and out of Tom's life forever.
Mary Riddle: 43 years old
The wife of Thomas Riddle and the mother of Tom Riddle. She was once a normal girl living in the small village of Little Hangleton along side her best friend, Maureen. She was considered the most beautiful woman in the village.
She was once a happy wife believing that Thomas Riddle was everything she wanted in a husband. However, she soon realized the man she married was not the man she fell in love with.
Despite her hatred for Thomas, she swallows her pride and own happiness for the good of their son. This turns the once sweet and beautiful woman into an unlikable, bitter, snobbish, and miserable person. She is known for taking her rage and resentment towards her husband out on her servants.
Thomas Riddle: 45 years old
The wealthy leader of the Riddle family. He portrays himself as a loving husband and father thought it's completely false, and his charm helps hide the truth from those that don't live under his roof.
He is an abuser, in many different ways, he is a liar, a cheater, and absentee husband and father. He goes on business trips often but this is mainly a facade to carry out his affairs and avoid parental responsibilities. He allows Mary to mostly rule the home as a way of keeping her content and quiet while he carries out these affairs.
