Minji melted into his arms, she couldn't remember how they had made it back to her dorm, but there she was, pressed against the door with the weight of his body against her. She leaned up on her tippy toes in an attempt to close the distance between them, her feet squishing inside wet socks. Minji gasped for air between breathless kisses, her tongue tangling with his as he tenaciously explored the inside of her mouth. Her fingers roamed over his wet hair, and he responded in turn by trailing restless hands up and down her body.
Jaehee pushed away from her, wiping his mouth as droplets of water trickled down from his hair onto her cheeks. She stared up at him breathless and wide eyed, her body still longing for more. Minji readied her lips to meet his as he leaned forward, but was taken off guard when he instead pressed his forehead against the door, cursing. His arms wrapped around her, thumbs caressing the sides of her waist. "I should… get going" he sighed, his voice distant "I just wanted to make sure you got back safe."
He leaned back to look at her, cupping her wet cheeks in his hands before letting out a groan. "Do you have any idea how cute you are?" He kissed her once more before pulling himself together. It was as he started to turn towards the stairs that Minji reached out instinctively, fingertips clutching at the edge of his soaking shirt. "You could… stay" she mumbled, half surprised at her own suggestion.
Jaehee paused, looking at her over his shoulder. "Are you sure?"
"The rain is pretty bad still, you should at least wait inside until it dies down" the lie sounded unconvincing even to her, but Minji wasn't ready for him to leave, not yet.
They had barely managed to close the door behind them before passion took over once more. It was as if a dam had burst open, and the buildup of their emotions and longing poured out all at once. Unable to hold back any longer, they feverishly tugged at each other's bodies, eagerly making up for lost time. It was only when a cold shiver ran down her spine that Minji snapped back into reality.
Their clothes were soaked through, leaving a trail of intricate droplets behind them on the hardwood floor. They had stumbled to her dorm in a feverish state, a liminal space halfway between dream and reality. Now that the adrenaline had worn away, Minji was uncomfortably aware of how cold she was.
She pulled away from their damp embrace "We should probably get out of these wet clothes". Minji stared up at him bashfully, her fingers fidgeting with the buttons on his flannel.
A mischievous smile spread across his face. Jaehee pulled her back to him, his face nuzzling against her delicate neck. "You just want an excuse to see me naked"
Minji pushed against his shoulders "N-no! I just don't want us to get sick" he brushed her damp hair aside, peppering kisses down the side of her neck as if to placate her. His voice was low and teasing "Well, we definitely don't want that" She clutched at his shirt collar, her skin responding to his touch with goosebumps.
He began by pulling off her cardigan, then lifted up the hem of her shirt, the fabric sticking to her damp body as it rolled up over her head. Minji trembled, a chill running through her as the cool air met her exposed body. Tossing the garment aside he gently placed kisses on each of her shoulders, her skin burning hot at the spot of each feathery touch.
He continued in this way, gingerly removing her clothes one by one before covering her with a sprinkling of kisses. By the time she was down to her underwear her body was flush with heat and she silently thanked the darkness for concealing the redness in her cheeks.
She helped him hastily undress before leading him to the bed. Jaehee towered over her, his body dappled in shifting shadows from the rain that pelted unrelenting against the windows. Minji took him in, feeling a newfound sense of appreciation for his broad shoulders and the athletic arms that had once carried her so effortlessly. She brushed her fingertips down a chiseled abdomen, noting the set of muscular lines that plunged from his hips into his boxers, daring her to keep going.
She tugged impatiently at his arm to encourage him down on the bed with her but sensed hesitation in him "Is everything okay?"
"Of course" he reached out, tracing the curves of her body with the back of his hand. Jaehee stood there pensively, his eyes drinking in the sight of her on the bed as he affectionately coiled a pink lock around his finger. "We don't have to rush anything, you know."
"I know"
Jaehee climbed onto the bed, pulling her against his bare chest. "I just want to savor this moment, the way we are right now" He continued toying with her hair, his spare hand tenderly caressing along the small of her back.
Minji pressed a cheek against him, the warmth from his body mingling with hers. She inhaled deeply, allowing the mix of cigarettes and his masculine scent to envelop her completely. At first she had been a little disappointed, hoping he would continue, but she soon found her eyelids drooping and her limbs heavy in his arms as her breathing deepened. Though she fought against it, the exhaustion of her body slowly won over. The last thing she remembered was the rhythmic pounding of his heart, the steady beat blending with the sound of raindrops splattering against the windowpane as she drifted off to sleep.
