Chapter 12 Finding the Truth Part 2
Lumine's POV

Amber had just finished telling us the truth about what happened with the Black Fire Incident.

"Collei was the one who caused the Black Fire Incident", Paimon exclaimed in shock.

"She didn't do it on purpose", Amber revealed. "It happened because of what the Fatui did to her."

"Poor Collei", Paimon said, before realising something. "Wait a minute. If Collei was actually the one who caused the Black Fire Incident, then who the heck was the person that the Fatui caught?!"

"I have no idea", Amber replied. "I was with Collei and Cyno when it happened. If you want to know more about what happened, you should talk to Kaeya. He led the group that captured the culprit."

"Did I hear my name being mentioned", a familiar voice asked as he approached us.

"Kaeya", Paimon greeted. "Perfect timing! There's something we want to talk to you about."

"I'll let Kaeya take over from here", Amber revealed. "I have to go out for patrol. I'll see you two around later!"

"See ya later, Amber", Paimon greeted.

Then, Amber left, and we turned to look at Kaeya.

"Well then", he started. "How can I be of assistance?"

With that, we explained to Kaeya what was going on.

"I see", he said when we were done. "So you want to know who the culprit we captured was?"

"Yeah", Paimon replied.

"Well, I'm afraid I have no information for you", Kaeya replied. "The knights handed him over to the Fatui, and that was the end of it for us."

"So, you have no idea who the real culprit was", Paimon asked.

"Afraid not", Kaeya replied. "And I doubt that any of the other knights do either."

"Well", Paimon started. "Thanks anyways, Kaeya."

"You're very welcome", Kaeya replied. "Now then, I must get going. I hope you two enjoy the Windblume festival."

"You too, Kaeya", Paimon said. "See you later!"

With that, Kaeya left, and Paimon turned to look at me.

"Traveller, what are we going to do now", she asked. "I mean, we're not going to tell the Fatui that it was Collei, are we?"

"No way", I replied. "I won't let her fall into the hands of Fatui again."

"Couldn't agree more", Paimon said. "But then, what are we going to do?"

After being asked this, I began thinking.

Then, I turned my head, and saw the door to Jean's office…which gave me an idea.

After taking a quick look around, I quickly nudged Paimon into Jean's office.

"What are you doing", she asked.

"Paimon, watch the door", I commanded. "I'm going to see if there's any documents on the Black Fire Incident."

"Oh", Paimon said in realisation. "Good idea, traveler!"

With that, Paimon flew to the door and began her lookout.

While she did that, I went to Jean's shelf and began quickly looking through the files.

"Let's see, let's see", I said as I looked through them. "Black Fire Incident! Here it is!"

With this, I pulled the file out of the shelf.

"What does it say", Paimon asked.

"Let me see", I said.

I then quickly read through the file, before sighing in annoyance.

"What's wrong", Paimon asked.

"It just says the same thing Kaeya told us", I revealed. "The culprit was handed over to the Fatui, before escaping custody."

"Great", Paimon said. "What are we gonna tell the Jester?"

Suddenly becoming frustrated, I knocked the shelf with my fist. When I did…one of the files fell off of it.

"Crap", I whispered under my breath.

I then leaned down to pick it up, and when I did…a letter fell from the file.

I picked it up as well, before taking a closer look at it.

"What you looking at", Paimon asked.

"It's a letter", I revealed.

Then, I began to read the letter.

I am writing this letter to reveal the truth about what happened with Ursa the Drake.

The truth is, the person who defeated the monster was actually Crepus Ragnvindr. Apparently, he defeated the monster with a strange, Vision like object.

"A Vision like object", I repeated under my breath.

Then, it all clicked.

"Paimon, we have to go", I commanded.

Then, I ran up to Paimon with the letter in my hand.

"Why", she asked. "And why are you taking that letter?"

"I think I figured out who the person the Fatui caught was."
