Chapter 16 Snowman and Lights
Lumine's POV

Childe and I were walking home from work the next day. When we arrived the house, we found his siblings playing in the front yard.

"Big brother", Teucer yelled, before running up to Childe and tackling his legs.

"Welcome home, big brother Ajax", Tonia greeted as she walked up to us.

"Hi guys", Paimon greeted. "What are you guys doing?"

"We were about to build a snowman", Teucer revealed excitedly.

"Do you guys wanna join us", Anton asked.

"In building a snowman", Paimon asked. "Paimon's never done that before, but it sounds like fun! I'm in!"

"What do you say, Traveler", Childe asked. "Do you wanna built a snowman?"

"Sure", I replied. "Sounds like fun."

"Great", Childe said, before clasping his hands together. "Then here's the game plan. Anton, Teucer and Tonia, you guys build the base of the snowman. Traveler and Paimon, come with me."

"Where are we going", Paimon asked.

"To get supplies for the snowman", Childe replied.

"What supplies do we need", Paimon asked.

"Sticks and stones."

...

By the time we had collected the supplies, Childe's siblings had finished the base of snowman.

"Good job, guys", he praised. "The base looks good!"

"Thanks, big brother", Teucer said happily.

"Alright", Childe started. "Now it's time to use the supplies we got. We'll use the sticks for the arms, and the stones for the face."

With this, we decorated the snowman with the supplies we got.

"Looking good", Childe said.

"Yeah", Paimon agreed. "But, it's missing a nose."

"I'll go inside and ask mom for a carrot", Teucer said.

Then, he quickly rushed into the house before coming back out with a carrot in his hand.

After he stuck the carrot into the snowman, we all stood back and took a closer look at it.

"Hmm. It still feels like it's missing something."

After saying this, Paimon looked around, before her eyes landed on Childe's scarf.

"Got it", she exclaimed.

Then, she floated up to Childe, and pulled off his scarf.

"Let me borrow this for a second, Childe", she said.

Then, she floated up to the snowman and wrapped the scarf around it.

"Now the snowman is a snow-Childe", she said, which gave me an idea.

"Not quite, Paimon", I said, as I slowly walked closer to Childe.

Then, once I got close enough, I grabbed his mask from his head, before putting it on the snowman's head.

'Now it's a snow-Childe", I said, which got a chuckle out of him.

"Nice one, traveler and Paimon", he said. "I have to say, that's a very handsome looking snowman."

Hearing this got a giggle out of me.

"Guys", Tonia started. "Let's all take a picture with the snowman."

"Good idea, Tonia", Childe said. "I'll go inside and get the kamera."

...

"And there…", Childe said after he finished up setting the kamera. "Alright. Ready to take the photo."

"Wait", Anton started. "Who's going to take the photo?"

"Ooo, let Paimon take the photo", she suggested excitedly. "Paimon can quickly float back from the kamera to be in the photo!"

"Good idea, Paimon", Childe said. "Alright everyone! Gather around the snowman!"

With that, we all gathered around the snowman.

As I was waiting, Childe suddenly put his hand on my shoulder.

I was going to say something about it, but Paimon spoke up before I could.

"Alright", she started. "And…the timer's started!"

With that, Paimon quickly rushed to us, and turned around just as a flash went off.

"I hope it looked good", she said.

"Let's go take a look", Tonia said.

Then, we all went to the kamera, and Childe took out the photo.

I took a closer look, and when I saw myself with Childe and his siblings, I couldn't help but smile.

"Guys, look", Tonia exclaimed.

After she did, I looked up, and my eyes widened in awe.

The dark night was now lit up with bright, colourful lights.

"Wow", Paimon said in awe. "It's those lights Arlecchino told us about! They look so pretty!"

After this, Childe seemed to get an idea, and suddenly kneeled down.

"Get on, guys", he said.

Then, Anton and Teucer hopped onto Childe's back and wrapped their arms around his neck.

"Hold on guys", he said, before standing up.

Then, he went up to Tonia, and picked her up bridal style.

"Big brother, what are you doing", she asked in embarrassment.

Childe didn't answer her, and turned to look at me instead.

"Follow me, traveler", he instructed.

Then, he suddenly jumped onto the roof of his house!

"Childe", I called out to him.

"Hey, Mr Money Bags", Paimon called out. "Wait up!"

With this, Paimon and I followed Childe to the roof. He was holding Teucer in his arms, while Anton and Tonia held onto his sides.

"What you'd do that for, Childe", Paimon asked.

"You get a much better view of the lights from here", Childe replied.

I then looked up, and saw that he was right.

"Wow", I said in awe. "They're so beautiful."

After I said this, I turned to look at Childe.

"Thank you for showing us this, Childe", I said.

"But", Paimon started. "Is it okay for your siblings to be up here?"

"It's not like we're little kids", Anton pointed out.

"Don't worry", Tonia reassured. "Big brother Ajax has brought us up here before, and he always makes sure we don't fall."

After hearing this, I looked at Childe, who was smiling at me.

When I saw this, I smiled back. Then, I looked back up at the sky, and watched the lights with Childe and his siblings.
