Chapter 17 To Inazuma

Lumine's POV

The next day, Childe and I were standing in front of the Jester.

"I hope you enjoyed your day off", he started. "Because I have your next mission for you."

"What is it", I asked.

"I need you and Tartaglia to go to Inazuma", the Jester revealed.

"Inazuma", Paimon asked. "Why do we need to go there?"

"After Signora was executed by the Raiden Shogun, we removed all of our delusion factories from Inazuma", the Jester revealed. "I want you two to go there and help ensure that everything has been successfully taken care of."

Once we got home, we told Childe's family that we'd be going to Inazuma, which Teucer wasn't happy about.

"You guys are going on another trip already", he asked in shock. "But you just got back!"

"I know, buddy", Childe said as he patted Teucer's head. "But our boss wants us to study toys from Inazuma."

After hearing this, Teucer wiped away his tears.

"Will…will you bring me some snacks back", he asked. "I really liked the ones you brought back last time you were there."

"Of course, buddy", Childe replied.

"And can you bring me back another kimono", Tonia asked. "The ones you got me last time were so cute!"

"And bring back some fireworks too", Anton added.

"Don't worry guys", Childe reassured. "I'll make sure to bring back a ton of souvenirs for you guys!"

After traveling for a bit, we had arrived in Inazuma.

"It's nice to be back in Inazuma", Paimon said when we arrived.

"Traveler", a familiar voice suddenly called out.

I then looked up, and spotted a familiar face.

"Yoimiya", Paimon said happily when she saw her.

"Heya, Paimon", Yoimiya greeted. "It's great to see you and the traveler again. What brings you two back to Inazuma?"

Before I could answer Yoimiya's question, she noticed my other traveling companion.

"Tartaglia", she said in shock. "You're in Inazuma too? Wait a minute, did you guys arrive here together?"

"Uhhhhhh", Paimon started, trying to think of an excuse.

"The traveler and Paimon have arrived in Snezhnaya, and are actually staying with me and my family while they're there", Childe revealed.

"Wait, they are", Yoimiya asked in shock.

"Yeah", Childe replied, before suddenly putting his hand on my shoulder. "I've talked about the traveler a lot to my family, so when she arrived in Snezhnaya, they were more than happy to let her and Paimon stay with us."

"I see", Yoimiya said. "I knew you guys knew each other, but I didn't know you were that close. But, it must be nice having a place to stay while you're in Snezhnaya?"

"It is", Paimon replied. "Childe's family is very nice, and the food his sister makes is supper yummy!"

"I'm glad", Yoimiya said. "Anyway, you guys arrived back in Inazuma just in time, because tonight is the Star Festival!"

"The Star Festival", Paimon repeated. "What's that?"

"It's a festival held every year in Inazuma to honour two lovers from an old myth", Yoimiya revealed. "You guys should come check out the festival if you have the time to. Anyway, I've got to get going and get ready for the festival. I'll see you guys later!"

With this, Yoimiya rushed off.

"The Star Festival sounds like fun", Paimon said. "Should we go check it out?"

"I'm not sure", I replied. "We're here for a mission, not to have fun."

"There's no reason we can't do both", Childe stated. "We'll do our work during the day, and then head to the festival tonight!"
