Chapter 7: Destiny or chance.
Kakashi had heard from Yugao that his team had failed, but then Kurenai was appointed as the jounin sensei of team eight.
Looking at both boys lying on the bed and looking at each other with an emotion of love in the air, he couldn't help but cough to get their attention.
Kakashi spoke—Tomorrow the two of you come to the Hokage tower at six in the morning, we are going to begin a mission. Hinata, you have a new sensei—without saying another word, he disappeared in a whirlwind of leaves.
Kofa frowned as he looked at the trash strewn around his room and knew it was on purpose for not following sensei's orders. Even though he knew Kakashi from the anime, he would never be naive and think he was the same as the anime. After all, a very broken guy who had lost everyone was normal; that would be a dream, and yesterday it was proven with that explosive label.
I look at Hinata, who had been in a bad mood for a moment now upon hearing the news from the jounin. With some hesitation, I decided to speak—HHinata, I heard what happened with your team. I want to tell you that I am very grateful for what you did and at the same time sad because you failed, but now I am very glad that there is still the opportunity to be a shinobi. In the morning, when I found out what you did, I abandoned sensei's orders and went to look for you because I care about you—hhe said with a serious voice.
Hinata continued to stare at Kofa's face and smiled evilly; without saying any words of warning, he jumped on a frightened Kofa.
He overpowered Kofa, who couldn't react to Hinata's sudden movement, who was now on top of his chest, wrapping him tightly.
Kofa's thoughts are like a tornado; he doesn't know how much dust he will withstand.
The Hyuga's next action was the straw that broke the camel's back. Small lips covered in a light red lipstick approached to capture her lips.
Trying to adjust his arms to get a better grip was useless. The Hyuga captured both arms and pressed them firmly with both hands, making it an impossible task for Kofa to free himself from the grip. Minutes passed and he finally freed him from the death grip; to be honest, he was left wanting more, and he didn't ignore it. Now he approached the smiling Hyuga to return the favor.
It had been a day since that very strong incident, where both lost their lives and kissed. Thinking about that kiss, he couldn't hold back his tongue that tasted her lips. Also, as Hinata had said, it was not possible to have a formal relationship due to many factors that could end in a fatal way.
Kofa already knew that; he's not stupid, and Hinata isn't either. He remembers when they both separated and Neji Hyuga came in with the darkest face possible, looking at them both like they were trash and a grimace of disgust.
That strange guy almost hit him like a punching bag; fortunately, Hinata cleared things up, and what I said also helped a lot.
Flash back.
Neji entered the room with the darkest face possible, his white eyes shining with a mix of fury and disdain. He looked at Kofa and Hinata as if they were the worst kind of traitors and trash.
Neji spoke, "What's going on here?" He asked, his voice icy cold, and when he received no answer, he asked again, "How dare you approach Hinata like that, Kofa?" He said at the end with eyes red with fury.
Kofa, although nervous, knew he had to keep his cool. He stepped forward, trying to show respect but also that he has pride and wouldn't be intimidated by a guy like that.
Kofa spoke—Neji, it's not what you think. Hinata and I... were just training in the art of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation; it's first aid. There's nothing more—he said with a serious face and didn't forget to stick out his chest to pat himself.
Neji frowned with a shit-eating face, clearly not convinced. His gaze turned to Hinata, seeking clarification on this bullshit lie.
Hinata didn't hesitate and spoke. "It's true, Neji. Kofa and I were just practicing. There's no reason to worry," she said in a soft but determined voice and looked directly into Neji's white eyes, who stared back at her with gritted teeth. Obviously he didn't buy this garbage explanation.
Neji crossed his arms, still enduring the intense anger, but the sincerity in Hinata's eyes made him reconsider two options, the first to hit the useless bastard of a civilian so he doesn't deviate from his destiny and the other, to deliver a gentle punch to the imbecile's heart. He took a step back, although his expression remained stern.
Neji warned with a tense voice and approached Kofa. "I warn you, Kofa. If you ever do anything that endangers Hinata or dishonors her as heir to the Hyuga clan, you will have to face me. Understood?" He asked with the angriest eyes possible; for Kofa, it was possible to see the sharingan awakening in those eyes.
Kofa nodded, knowing that Neji was serious. But before Neji could leave, Kofa decided to ask a question that had been lingering in his mind, and because he remembered that now is not the normal Naruto world, he also had doubts if this world was a mix of the Roat to Ninja world.
Kofa asked determinedly, "Neji, do you like Hinata?" He dropped the bomb and waited for Neji's reaction, not looking away. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at Hinata's pretty face and tensed up.
Neji froze for a moment, his expression changing from surprise to anger. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Kofa.
Neji replied, "That's none of your business, Kofa. My duty is to protect Hinata, and that's all you need to know," he said in a dangerously low voice.
Kofa kept his gaze firm, not backing down, and spoke—NNeji, I may not be the most genius or powerful guy out there, but if you dare to hurt Hinata or your stupid clan... I'll let you see desperation—iin the coldest voice possible. Even Hinata, who was watching everything, shuddered and looked at Kofa with astonished eyes.
Kofa, seeing the tense atmosphere, added, "I just wanted to understand why you are so protective of her. I have no intention of hurting her; I would never do something like that. She is very important to me, and I love her," he said in a serious voice.
Neji watched Kofa for a moment longer before finally relaxing a bit. He nodded and turned to leave the room. Before he left completely, he didn't forget to add, "You better," he said and headed for the door. Before Neji could leave, Hinata stepped forward, her expression changing from the usual sweetness to something darker and possessive. Her eyes shone with an eerie intensity as she spoke. "Neji-nii-san, don't worry so much about me," Hinata said, her voice soft but with a menacing tone. "Kofa-kun and I were just training, and I won't let anyone come between us. If anyone tries to separate us... well, they won't live to tell the tale," she said with an eerie aura.
Neji froze, surprised by Hinata's attitude. But before he could respond, Hinata continued, "Besides, Neji, I can take care of myself. I don't need you to protect me all the time. I'm stronger than you think," she said with a sneer.
Neji, still surprised, nodded slowly and turned to leave the room.
When Neji left, Kofa and Hinata exchanged a look, and Hinata approached Kofa, her expression returning to sweet, but Kofa couldn't forget the darkness he had seen in her eyes.
Hinata with a tender face said, "Kofa-kun, don't worry about Neji. No one will separate us," she said with a sweetness in her voice.
Kofa felt a chill run down his spine but nodded slowly. Knowing that Hinata was serious, he replied, "I understand, Hinata. I love you," he said with a smile of his own.
Hinata nodded and smiled, showing a blush.
Fin flash back.
Kofa misses the feeling of Hinata, and he also remembered that today he had to meet up with his team again for a low-ranking mission, cleaning a house and taking care of children.
