Sonadow Prime: Book 1: Betrayal

This is my first Sonadow might not be the exact same as the show and it might be a little better or worse. Who knows!? I do not own any characters! Plz be nice and plz follow!

Sonic fell to the ground,afraid and confused. What happened? Why did it happen? What did he do? Shadow growled and walked past him glaring at where the prism once was. " I told you," He snarled as Sonic hugged himself, unknown tears rolling down. He didn't understand. Why would Nine do that? "You only care about yourself." Nine's words echoed in his head.

"I told you this would happen!" Shadow joined in.

"SONIC!" His friends yelled the same way when he broke the prism.

" Home doesn't exist anymore thanks to you!" Reality left him. He wanted to die. Ever so painfully. He wanted to leave life. Life was painful,hurtful, consequential, and the person he loved more than anything would never accept him. He knew why Nine left now… It's because he was an idiot. A fool… He was nothing… " I told you this would happen!" Shadow seethed. His anger showed. It showed horribly.

" I know…" Sonic whispered,but Shadow didn't hear. He was so wrapped up in his fury he couldn't bother. He's such an IDIOT! Shadow thought. " The prism is gone thanks to you!"

" I know…" Sonic said a tiny bit louder but also too quiet. Shadow walked toward him,his fists clenched and anger plastered on his face. He raised a fist and while trying to punch him he yelled: " I TOLD YOU NINE WOULD BETRAY YOU!" He attempted a punch but Sonic blocked it with a small smack. This made him even angrier. He attempted to do it again. " BUT YOU WOULDN'T-!" He stopped and looked and Sonic shivering. His ears were flattened,his legs close to his chest, and when he lifted his head Shadow almost cried. Sonic… Was crying. Aggressively crying. Tears rolled down and Sonic tried to wipe his tears with the back of his hand but tears still fell. " You-You were right, Shadow." He choked. " You told me that this would happen, but I wouldn't listen. I was stubborn, I was an idiot. Nine… He was just like Tails by looks… But he's not him. I'm scared,Shadow." Shadow gasped softly. Scared? How? He's Sonic. Fearless,strong,and chili dog loving hero. " I'm scared that I'll lose all my friends. I'm scared I'll fail. I'm scared I'll kill someone. I'm…Scared of myself. I see myself as an enemy. A villain. I see you as a hero. Someone kind. I want to be like that but that's impossible. Why? Because I'm a faker. Just as you said. So yell at me. Do it." Shadow frowned sadly and turned around in disappointment. Not for Sonic but for himself. He growled at himself for such weakness. I am Shadow the Hedgehog. He snarled at himself in his head. I am strong and I have no weakness. He looked back at Sonic's shivering and wondered if he should help him. Comfort him. He hissed at himself for the thought. I am SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG I AM NOT IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE I AM SWORN TO HATE! He heard hyperventilation suddenly. He turned around to see Sonic covering his mouth and scooting back. Horrid memories came to him. His friends,Nine… Eggman… Shadow. Shadow. Shadow. SHADOW! "KILL ME!" Sonic cried. Shadow's pupils shrank. What did he just say? Shadow ran to him,worry flooded over anger. He reached out his hand to shake him,to hug him, to love like he always did but could never show,but Sonic rejected by smacking his hand with a fear he had never seen before and scooting back as if he hoped that he could escape. Sweat rolled down Sonic's face and his breaths went faster and faster. Mom… Sonic thought. I want to join you… " No, don't!" Sonic said with fear. " I don't want to lose anyone else please!" Shadow staggered back but shook it off and went on his knees closer to him. He grabbed Sonic's hand before he could move further away. Sonic's tears rolled down and he kept sobbing. Shadow gripped his hand tighter without hesitation and pulled him closer. Sonic gasped. " It's ok," Shadow whispered in his sad flattened ear. " Heroes can cry too." Sonic hugged him tightly and sobbed on his shoulder.

" I'm sorry Shadow," Sonic choked. " I'm a failure."

" You are not a failure." Shadow hissed. " You are Sonic the Hedgehog. You're a hero. You help everyone never thinking twice. You never give up. You… You haven't even given up on me. So you can't give up on yourself especially when I haven't given up on you. We will work together to stop Nine. I'll be here every step of the way. So please stay. Everyone needs you… I need you…" He blushed when he said that and closed his eyes tightly with embarrassment. Sonic slowed his breathing and Shadow's eyes shot open and he let go of him to look at Sonic. His eyes were closed and he was breathing in and out slowly and calmly. " I'm sorry you had to deal with this." Sonic said. Shadow ever so dearly wanted to wipe his tears but he restrained himself.

" You can punch me now. I know I deserve it." Shadow sighed and hugged him again.

" I'm not going to punch you." Shadow said. " Only if you promise…"

" Promise what?" Sonic said. Nervous tinted his voice.

" Only if you promise to not give up on me or you." Sonic for the first time in what felt like forever smiled. He hugged him tightly. I love you Shadow. He thought.

I love you… Sonic. They smiled at each other and sat next to each other side by side.

" Tomorrow we'll find that 'friend' of yours."

" Ok." Sonic yawned. He laid his head on Shadow's shoulder and shortly after he slept. Shadow gasped when he found out and blushed. " I guess a short nap won't hurt." He whispered. And so they slept there,hand in hand,head on lap, love tied with love. I won't let anyone hurt you Sonic. I love you. Shadow thought.

I love you Shadow. More than anything.
