Adrien thought that it would have been like every other day, normal, or at least what normally happens everyday that he no longer questions it. He'll wake up and have breakfast by himself at an overly large table in a mansion that is practically empty save a few people, then head to school in his father's limo to where he would meet Nino, his best friend, and head to class or chill on a bench in the courtyard if there was time. Classes would start at eight through four, where an akuma attack could have between fifth and seventh period and leave class to fight it and hopefully be there for eighth period. He would hang out with his friends during the five minute transition from class to class and at lunch, where they talked and joked about random topics, occasionally making plans to have them join him in outings when his father was too preoccupied to notice his absence. Then go back to the practically empty mansion and have a possibility of fighting another akuma before hitting his homework, having dinner by himself and head to have a night patrol with his lady. They would metaphorically fly through the nights by running over rooftops and either swinger or pole vaulting from high builds and monuments, before talking and by two in the morning they would head back and he would prepare for the next day.
That was a normal day for him and had been since he got friends, been in public school, receiving his miraculous and meeting plagg. So when he arrived at class with Nino beside him, no, before he could even enter the class he could hear her voice through closed doors and he had broken out into a sprint and forcefully opened the door to see a most unexpected scene. If there was one person Adrien Agreste disliked more than HawkMoth, hated even, it was this burnt orange haired snake in human skin that is somehow still alive, not his choice sadly but he learned to deal with unfortunate accidents. So when he saw the lying venomous snake cower behind the back desks and his friend, the only one who he held in his heart as big as his Lady, being barely held back by two of the biggest guys in class, yelling at her to take back whatever foul nonsense the other girl, how it was unpleasant to even say that, had said.
"I will not have some lying venomous snake like yourself spreading your bullshit about Chat Noir, who is the better hero out of the whole Miraculous Team! Ladybug would be nothing without him and would have had her Miraculous taken even if it was with everyone but him, so I don't want to hear another disrespectful word come out of your foul mouth!!" It was the most he had ever seen her get angry and yell, it was quite beautiful too, surprised she would stick up for his alter ego. "It's true! Ladybug herself told me that Chat wasn't the person she would have picked to hold the Black Cat Miraculous, but wouldn't have time to find another replacement and that he was already too attached to it!" Why was it that every time he heard her voice it made him want to bleed out of his ears, but at least he now understood the situation he had walked into.
"Chat Noir is way better than Ladybug, and the fact that you're claiming Ladybug said such things makes me believe Ladybug herself isn't worthy of holding the Ladybug Miraculous if she's to blind to see how important her feline partner is! Chat is the only reason Ladybug can even save the day because he takes the blows and distracts the akumatized victims while she stands back and thinks! Chat also helps the victims and its citizens with what little time he has left while Ladybug talks to reporters and bloggers!" Adrien knew that was half correct, because he already received enough camera time that he doesn't care anymore and focuses on helping people, Ladybug was what the people wanted to see afterwards.
"Chat Noir is just a cocky, attention hogging-" only to stop when Lila saw Marinette break free from the two boys' grip and practically appear halfway up the steps. Adrien seemed to have also appeared a step ahead to stop Marinette faster than they could see and felt Mari try to bull dose him down, but he was Chat Noir, even out of his magical suit he was still stronger than most average people. So why did Marinette feel like a boulder trying to run through a brick wall, it wasn't easy and it hurt as hell too. He should have known that wouldn't stop the ravennette as she ever so gracefully spun around him and if it wasn't for the cat like reflexes he had developed as his time as Chat Noir, he would have more than likely witnessed Lila's death, not like it mattered to him he just didn't want to see Mari lose her future because of her defending him. He was able to bear hug her from behind and lift her off the ground so she couldn't try and slip out while making sure her arms were locked between his.
"Let me go, Adrien!" This was his first time seeing her this furies and he wished he could see it more, something about her eyes shining with determination and absolute resolve and the way she struggled to break free and literally beat the facts into the other person's face reminded him of his spotted partner. He had other things to deal with at the moment and that was to save his friend from prison. Everyone watched in shock at seeing him hold back Marinette with little resistance, especially after seeing Kim and Ivan hold her back with all their strength, but they were thankful that someone was able to hold her back. Mari kept kicking and struggling, but he kept his girl on her. "You need to calm down Mari." Adrien said softly in her ear as he was descending the stairs and was going to escort her out of the class to let her cool down.
"She needs to know! They all do! Chat is more than a sidekick and more than they ever know if they only paid attention! Chat Noir is the best SuperHero Paris will ever see!" Adrien stopped mere inches from the door and it got suddenly quiet in the class and Mari stopped struggling as Adrien slowly set her down. Mari had slowly turned around and got wide eyes at seeing Adrien cry, unaware If he himself knew or not, it left her speechless. He was crying with the most beautiful smile she had ever seen, as if someone had literally found his mother. It wasn't big in the slightest with it only stretching a few centimetres but it easily showed how he was feeling. "Adrien…" That seemed to snap him out at hearing her call his name softly, her hands creasing his cheeks, her hands were soft and gentle… how it reminded him so much of his Lady and his mother.
They both reminded him of his late mother and of each other, and it hit him as he looked in her eyes… those bluebell eyes that Ladybug had and how they looked when they were worried about him and Chat Noir. The strength that she displayed was exactly like Ladybug, combined with her strong sense of justice and overwhelming determination to show the light to others. Like Ladybug and Marinette, his mother was exactly the same, down to when they were sad, excited or even down right furies. But it wasn't because she was Ladybug that he loved Marinette but because he knew without a doubt that she was the one person who he knew with all his heart and soul liked him more than where he came from. Marinette was everything he saw in Ladybug and more, it was like he could see through the mask he had been looking at after three years.
He gently placed his hands on top of hers, bringing them down to his chest and in that moment he came to a decision that he only ever dreamed of. Marinette was Ladybug and Ladybug was Marinette, they were two peas of the same pod, the now one person who couldn't live without. It was only barely above a whisper knowing that was all he would be able to muster but it was enough if Mari could hear him. "Mari, M'Lady… I finally found you!" It took all of a few seconds to connect all the pieces, from his blonde hair and green eyes, not to mention she had been forced to memorize his body after all the akuma fights together, but it was how he said it that really made her realize the situation. Her face slowly got red by the second before she stopped and she started to laugh, tears also falling from her face but she couldn't have been happier.
After all this time Mari had thought she was falling for two people, the two green eyed blonde guys that she had depended on to get through the day. Adrien soon joined her. They weren't particularly loud but the class could hear them and it wasn't extreme like if someone told a funny joke, it was a laugh that conveyed their feelings and emotions towards each other, a feeling of love that they have only held for each other. "Kitty!"
No one in class could understand the shift in the atmosphere and didn't understand what they had just witnessed anyways, but that all changed when they suddenly kissed each other. What had happened within the small time frame when Adrien set her down to now, all in three minutes. Three minutes and it seemed everything between them changed for the better, but it was also like they found out something so important that it was so obvious. Lila didn't understand what was happening and it angered her that their attention shifted towards the very people she loathed with all her might, trying to think of a way to get their eyes and ears to her and make them listen like the sheep they were, then it clicked. "How could-"
"Will you just shut the fuck up, I can't stand to hear another word come out from you!" Everyone couldn't believe what they just heard and it came from the most calm and collective person they knew, it was the first time they actually saw how he was Gabriel Agreste's son. His green emerald eyes lacked the friendliness and innocence it usually showed, now filled with hate, disgust and absolute fury. Adrien just found out that his two most periouse girls were actually the same person and no one was going to ruin it with words that not even a voice recorder wanted to record, he was one second away from transforming and cataclysm her in the most painfullest way possible for this whole situation and every situation before that had harmed and put his ravennette girl in danger. "I have had enough of your lies, the disgusting way your hands touch me and the absolute abomination of your existence!" He let go of Mari and made sure his whole body faced the very person he loathed with his whole soul, everyone seeing the danger he actually was now that he let go of being the nice guy.
"The day I found out you were lying about being Ladybug's friend and when you expelled Marinette, I should have opened my eyes to the fact that you were not even human! You not only harassed Mari, but also bullied, threatened and physically abused her… if it wasn't because killing is illegal in the country and the world for that matter, you wouldn't be here!" Marinette's eyes widened at that, she wasn't aware that anyone was around to know that, so how did he? "I-I don't-" but before she could twist his words or disclaim that Adrien had cut her off quickly. "I don't want to hear another sound from your poisonous mouth, because you just don't know when to stop talking and stop being a bitch! It's pretty obvious you're only jealous of Marinette because she is better in every way you're not and will ever be! She is the most beautiful girl I had ever seen with an even more amazing personality, kind and generous to everyone but you for reasons I'm sure everyone now knows! She makes the best sweet treats and coco the world has ever seen, not to mention she is without a doubt the best designer I have ever known other than my father, but even he sometimes pales in comparison to M'Lady!"
Marinette was a blushing mess but she wanted to hear more, if only to confirm his feelings to her outside the mask and making sure he loved both sides of her. "Marinette cares for other people more than I know, always trying to help and solve other people's problems other than her own, always keeping to herself about the difficulties she faces everyday! Marinette is but a goddess in front of an insignificant insect like yourself, so I don't want to hear anything more from you!" Adrien knew this was his fault for not stopping it, but it didn't mean he couldn't fix it and the only way to do that is to end this for the both of them.
"I tried to be the good guy and be your friend, I don't know how you got my father to let you join the company but that will end after everything you have done, didn't think I knew huh? Slander is a bigger crime than you could imagine, not to mention the harassment of other female models and me! The very touch of your skin is like acid, literally I have to take a shower so hot that it burns my skin!" Lila flinched and she could feel everyone's eyes on her but it wasn't like she wanted, they were shocked, angry and disgusted. This wasn't supposed to happen, she never lost! Adrien slowly made his way up with keeping Mari close behind him, never once looking away from Lila. "I even put up with your lies against M'Lady because they were harmless, but then you get her expelled and I made a deal with the devil, no, you're worse than even the king of the underworld! I can't believe I tried to be a 'good friend' with you when I would rather die! Marinette has put up with your shit and I have reached the point where I am this close to ending your life. I swear to whatever god is out there that if you don't get out of this class in the next five seconds, I! Will! End! Your! Life!"
Lila didn't need five seconds to escape, because she jumped out the window and ran, good thing too because he was already at one. Slowly turning around, his gaze softened when looking at his partner and smiled. "I should have never given you my worthless advice and not stopped this sooner, could you ever forgive me?" Marinette just chuckled and gave him a quick kiss on the lips, bringing him into a tight hug. "I was being a hundred percent true when I said Ladybug would be nothing without her knight in leather, thank you." Adrien nodded as he laid his hand on her head, knowing this was better than any normal day he could ever want.
"Why don't we just head to your place today, I think we need a break for today, huh?" He only felt her nod her head before she broke the embrace and grabbed his hand, looking up and smiling. "We need to talk anyways and I don't think I can wait till classes are over." No one said a word or moved a muscle the entire time, not like they would be able to fully understand what they had just witnessed. It was going to be different for the rest of their school life and even after, now if they could only figure out how they were going to get through the day with everything that just happened
Not a week later it was confirmed by a picture on the Eliff tower that LadyNoir was finally sailed, every newspaper and news station were going wild with trying to get information on what had changed for the sudden shift in their relationship. When asked after an akuma attack they received only one simple response. "We have always loved each other, it just took a while before we knew that we loved both sides of your lives." Yup, Ladybug and Chat Noir, Pairs favorite duo superheroes knew each other's identities. A normal day, this was the new normal now and he wouldn't trade it for anything.
Hello and I'm glad to be back, are you'll glad I'm back? I hope so, but let's get into this. This is a new FanFiction I've started that's going to be filled with Miraculous OneShots, all dealing with Mari and her love. This was actually supposed to be chapter two but when I started chapter one I was writing in a small notebook during boot camp so it's going to be a minute before that goes up. Chapters will be filled with romance to the core with some more and maybe some M-rated scenes that I will put in before each story. Non of the chapter will connect as they are short OneShots but I do hope everyone enjoys it.
