While Calyrex and Co are Checking Up on Blake

Umber sat underneath a palm tree at Alola, closing his eyes and smelling the salty breeze going by in the night sky. He deserved a little break after helping Nyx rebuild her parent's home and spent some quality time with the Xenas. He took a deep breath and exhaled deeply.

…But his mind switched to the Xenas. He flashbacked to when he helped the two reconcile their differences and how he helped JINX to deal with the Wario Bros… granted, the psychics did drag him away, but he was grateful that he went on another adventure with them.

"Surely… I owe her something." He said and then started blushing a deep red when he had thought of something. It didn't help that he had a massive crush on those two, and he had a feeling they have a crush on him as well.

He stood up and took a deep breath. "Yeah… that oughta work." He said and walked off.

Later…

"Hey… Xena, you okay? You don't feel like yourself."

"I dunno…" Xena said as she was walking through Toad Town, her hands in her pockets. "The whole X-Parasite thing has kinda got me a bit worried. Not to mention Ridley is on his way… I know you're the same way, miss I don't worry as much."

"Heh… ya got me, huh? I'll admit, the whole thing with the X-Parasite and Blake losing it… it's starting to worry me as well."

Xena walked over to a vending machine, pushing a button after paying a few coins and it had dropped two 1-Up Sodas "I don't blame you… the fact that Ridley is going there even has Arceus concerned." She said, opening the can up and taking a swig.

"Agreed. I know we have to have faith in Blake and the rest of her team but… I dunno, something feels off."

"Amen to that, sister." Xena said, sitting down on a bench and finishing her drink, tossing it into the garbage bin and then had Dark Xena take over and opened up her drink.

"Ah, love that lemon lime goodness…" She said.

"You think they'll be okay?"

"I'm pretty sure… besides, they have Rosie. Last I checked, she doesn't let anything get to her. She's seen a lot of shit in space over the past few centuries, so I don't think we have anything to worry about. Although… if this X-Parasite and SA-X is starting to affect Rosie too… then you know they're fucked."

"Can't argue with that."

"So… yeah, Rosie's there. Nothing gets to her that much. Blake is in good hands… and besides, Rosie's motherly so if there's someone out there who can give a lot of motherly hugs to calm everyone down, it's her."

"Right."

Dark Xena finished her drink. "Although… let's just pray that that the worst case scenario doesn't happen because the last thing we need is a cosmic woman having a mental breakdown."

"So true."

Dark Xena tossed the can away. "So… what do you wanna do now? Skip rocks over the pond? Terrorize some Grimm? Prank call Esdeath?"

"…Dude, really? Prank calling?"

"Yeah, good point… no one does that anymore. You wanna head over to the arcade and finally figure out how to master that Hadoken or something?"

"Mmm, nah…"

"Yeah… that's hard to figure out, honestly. Oh! I got it! Mess with that Rathalos at the Smash Mansion!"

"Haven't we done that enough already?"

"Hey, dude's an asshole. We owe him a psychic sandwich after poisoning the both of us two days ago."

"Good point."

"Hey, you two!" A voice called as Dark Xena turned to see Umber approaching them.

Gah! Cute boy alert! Dark Xena thought.

"Goodness, the moonlight really makes those yellow eyes pop… I've never noticed it before!"

"Mind if I sit here?"

"U-uh… sure!" Dark Xena nodded as Umber sat down. Dude, switch with me!

"Got ya!"

Xena took over and looked over at Umber. "Sup?"

"Heya." Umber waved and then noticed Xena looking a bit perplexed. "Something wrong? You don't look quite your upbeat self…"

Should we tell him?

"Might as well…"

"Well… the thing is, it has to do with SPBRR."

"SPBRR? As in like… a team?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, so who's in it?"

"Samus, Pikachu, Blake, Rosalina and ROB."

"Oh, neat. What about them that has you so perplexed?" He asked where Xena went on to explain what had happened when they contacted Blake. "…Whoa. That's depressing."

"I know… and to make matters worse, Ridley decides to go pay them a visit." She sighed. "Can you blame us for being a bit worried over it?"

"Nope, I don't blame ya one bit." Umber said. "I'd be worried too…"

"Exactly!" Xena nodded. "Sorry… we're not usually this mopey."

"Oh, it's fine." Umber chuckled and looked up at the moon. "I have to say… I'm not sure what moon's prettier. Remnant's or my world."

Xena chuckled. "Oh, we're sure it depends on the individual…"

"Good point." Umber chuckled. "So… I want to ask you something." He said, starting to blush.

Is he blushing?

"Holy crap, he is!"

"Do you… want to like… hang out at Alola? Just the two of us? …Er, three of us?"

Holy shit, he's asking us on a date!

"Wait wait wait, play it cool! Play it cool!"

"Um… are you… asking us out?" She asked, trying to keep her composure.

Umber blushed. "Well uh… when you put it that way… yeah, I guess I am asking the both of you out."

"Uh… cool! Um… be right back real quick. We need to go do something."

"Ah, it's cool. I'll wait then." Umber smiled as Xena teleported away to their home base at Nyx's house.

"Guys! We got a situation!" Xena exclaimed.

"What? What is it? Is it a Grimm attack?" Jade asked.

"Is it a massive Grimm attack? Is it those Heartless things?" Nyx asked.

"No! It's… it's…. Umber! He… date… he… asked… oh gosh, we're hyperventilating! We haven't been so nervous!"

"Whoa whoa whoa, slow down. Breathe! Breathe." Nyx said, putting her hands on her shoulder. "Deep breath… alright, what's so exciting? You said something about Umber?"

Xena smiled widely. "Umber just asked the both of us out!"

Meanwhile, just outside…

"I can't believe you bench pressed those Heartless." Ren said as he walked by with Nora.

"I know! I don't know who looked more surprised, the Grimm or those Heartless freaks. Hehehehe. Worth a few scratches!" Nora grinned.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Oh?" Nora turned to their house.

"They're probably watching a scary horror movie. I wouldn't worry about-" Ren would notice a blinking outline of Nora as he would turn to see Nora prying her ear against the door. "Nora!"

"Shhh! I wanna listen!"

Inside…

"Oh my gosh, this is amazing! This is awesome! You're going on a date with Umber!" Jade exclaimed.

"Where are you going?" Nyx asked.

"Alola!"

"Hey, what's with the fangirling?" Iris asked, walking in with a towel over her shoulders.

"The Xenas are going on a date with Umber!"

"Heeeey, nice!" Iris smiled.

"We gotta get you all dolled up!" Jade said. "I'll get the make up!"

"I'll go find some dresses!" Nyx said.

SLAM!

"No need!" A voice called out as they turned to see Nora holding two dresses while Ren was facepalming behind her. "I got two dresses for the both of ya!"

"…Uh, guys, is this necessary?" Iris sweatdropped. "This is just Alola, I don't think dolling her up would be-" Nora and JN would push Xena into the bathroom and shut it. "-…Necessary." She said as Ren walked in. "Let me guess, Nora heard them fangirling?"

"Yup."

"I was afraid of that."

In the bathroom…

"A little bit of nose powder-"

"Achoo!"

"Some make up… oooh, don't forget the eyeliner!" Nora said.

"Lipstick applied~!" Nyx said.

"What… did we get ourselves into?"

I'm… not sure but we weren't even thinking straight…

"Here, try this dress on!" Nora said, after they took off her clothes, and then strapped on a dress where she would be decked out in a light red dress that had some of her cleavage hanging out and had a slit on one side of the dress. "Hmm… you think we should take off the straps?"

"Nah, leave the straps off for the more dangerous one." Jade said.

"Look, just because I tend to cut loose compared to Xena-"

"You got it!" Nora grinned. "Oooh, what about the hair… turn it into a bun or keep it straight?"

"Ooooh, that sounds good!" Jade said as they proceeded to turn her hair into a bun and then they showed her a mirror.

"What do you think!" Nora smiled.

"…I look like I'm ready for a fashion show."

"Good enough!" Nora said. "Now, let's doll up your other self!"

"Just for the record… I'm not a makeup person nor am I a dress kind of gal!"

Xena sighed. "Dark… if I have to put up with this, then so do you… you're on your own." She said and then switched to Dark Xena.

"Wait wait wait, what?! No! Xena!" Dark Xena panicked as she saw the smirking faces on the three girls. "…Ooooh no." She paled as they proceeded to doll her up despite her protests, then put on a strapless purple dress on with both slits over the dress.

"Ta-daaaah!" Nora handed her a mirror. "You look so… so….!"

"Stupid."

"Beautiful!" Nora smiled while Jade and Nyx put her hair into a bun.

You owe me big for this, Xena…

"I know… how about a Chuckola Cola for each of us?"

Mmm…

"Okay, two for each of us."

"Alright, now for the high heels!" Nora smiled.

"No! We draw the line at high heels!" Both Xenas protested.

"Aww…" Nora pouted. "Oh well, now there's one more thing we have to do."

Back with Umber…

"I wonder if those two are getting themselves dolled up…" He said before snickering. "Right… those two don't seem like the dress and make up types." He chuckled and then Xena teleported back to him.

"Hey."

Umber turned his head. "Hey you twoooooooooooo… whoa…" He said. "I never took you two for dolling u-"

"Nora." Both of them said.

"Ah… that makes sense." Umber chuckled and then looked down. "They even painted your nails?"

"Both of us too. We hate it." Xena mumbled. "We like our natural nails, thank you very much!"

"I dunno… I could get used to that black nail polish. Glad they didn't turn me into a goth though, thank heavens."

I dunno, maybe you could go for a punk look.

"Nah, that's all Marnie."

Fair enough.

"So, shall we be off then?" Umber asked, calling out Nebby… which the Lunala took one look at the Xenas and tilted her head in confusion.

"Nora!" Xena called out, to which Nebby nodded in understanding as they climbed up and took off into a portal.

"Aww, our precious split personalities are growing up so fast… it makes me wanna cry!" Nora said, faking blowing her nose. "Come on! Let's go after them!"

"Are you nuts!" Iris said. "Just leave the three alone. They deserve some romantic peace and quiet."

"Who does?" A voice spoke up as Lillie and Guzma approached them.

"Umber and the Xenas. They're headed out on a date." Iris said.

Lillie's eyes sparkled. "On a date?!"

"Heeey, that's my boy!" Guzma grinned and then smirked. "Heh, you wanna go spy on them?"

"I think they deserve some privacy." Iris said, her arms folded and closed her eyes. "Besides, it's their first date so let's not be helicopter-"

"Uh… Iris?" Ren spoke up.

"Yeah?" Iris opened her eyes… and saw blinking outlines of everyone but her and Ren. "…OH SON OF A…!" She facepalmed. "Am I the only normal one around here!" She said before sighing. "Ren, your girlfriend's high maintenance sometimes."

"I know… but I love her anyway." Ren chuckled. "Come on, let's go try to get them out of trouble."

"I'm so with you there." Iris said as Ren activated his Wind Magic to help himself fly up as Iris activated her Wing power up as the two flew off together.

Meanwhile, at Alola…

Nebby landed on the beach of Melemele Island as the two of them hopped off. "Wow, it's so pretty!" Xena smiled, seeing some Pelipper fly around the night sky and then glanced over to the other side of the beach. "Hmm? What's going on over there?"

Umber smiled. "Oh that? That's just some Mantine surfing." He said and turned to her. "You two wanna try it out?"

"You know what? Sure!" Xena said. "We're game."

"It's better than wearing this infernal dress…"

"Come on!" Umber said as they went over to the Mantine Surfing.

"Oh hi champion! You're looking perkier than usual!" One of the residents said and then spotted Xena. "Ooooh, I see where this is going… who's your friend?"

"Ah, just a good friend of mine." Umber said.

"Hi, I'm Xena." Xena smiled.

"Sup!"

He let out a chuckle. "Well, you like to Mantine Surf, so go ahead and do your thing. As for you, pretty lady… you might want to get into something a bit more comfortable. I don't think the dress will work out."

"Way ahead of you." Xena said. "You got a wet suit?"

"Here ya go!" He said, handing one to her.

"You got an extra? I… uh… I tend to rip my clothes a lot."

"Ooooh, is THAT what we're going with?"

Look, do you want to cause a panic that you're my dark side? I don't think anyone is used to magic here, let alone body swapping.

"Aw come on, it's be fuuuun!"

"Oookay, suit yourself. Here's another one for ya!" He said, handing another to her.

"Thank you!" Xena said as she went to go get changed inside of a tent… and they saw two dresses coming out of the tent, then Xena came out wearing a light blue wet suit while Dark Xena would have been sporting a dark purple wet suit, then she got on the Mantine.

"Let's go big guy!" Xena said, getting into position.

"Mantiiiine!"

BGM: Mantine Surf (Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon)

"Just follow my lead!" Umber said as he was the first one out as the Mantine underneath Xena started to move as well.

"…That is so odd, why were there two dresses?" He wondered. "Come to think of it, did I hear another voice?"

"Think you both can keep up?" Umber teased.

"Oh, it's our first time, I'm sure we'll handle it!" Xena called out. "As long as this little guy is gentle!"

"Tiiiine!"

"Here we go!" Umber said as they surfed through the waves, the moon's shine reflecting off of the waves as the Xenas would watch Umber gaining speed while weaving through the Tentacool and launching off of the crest of the wave, going over a Wailord as he unleashed a Starmie 720 and a Lanturn 360.

"Whoa…" Xena said.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Way ahead of you!" Xena smirked as she did the same thing, gracefully weaving through the Tentacools and barely avoiding a Sharpedo as they climbed the wave and burst through the air as water splashed into the air with them, both of them doing a few Gorebyss and Huntail Spirals as they landed on the water with the waves splashing her, with some of the sea water making their make up run as they would both take turns launching out of the waves.

Unbeknownst to them, a ship would sail behind the waves as Nora had her binoculars out. "Aww, they're not wearing the dress!"

"Why would you wear a dress while surfing?" Lillie asked.

"It'd be cool!" Nora said and then turned her head. "Thannks for lending us your boat, uh… Ku… fui?"

"It's Kukui, and no problem! I'm also excited to see my cousin on a date!" Kukui said.

"Me too!" Hau grinned. "…Minus the cousin part!"

"Yeah, that's my boy! Crush those waves like your boy Guzma would do!" Guzma cheered.

"Surfing on the waves and those two are crushing it, I'm jealous." Nyx said.

"Same!" Jade agreed, unaware of Ren and Iris above the two.

"This spying stuff is gonna end poorly, I can guarantee it." Iris said with Ren nodding.

"Here we go!" Xena exclaimed, breaching out of the water and doing a graceful Primarina Twist, something that Umber took notice of.

"Holy Arceus… first try?" He wondered in awe as Xena landed on the water. He let out a grin and gave her a thumbs up as they would see Akala Island up ahead. "We're almost to Heahea Beach!" He called out.

"Awesome!"

"…But you know what?" Umber smirked and looked down at the Mantine. "How's about we take a detour to the Resort?"

"Man!" The Mantine agreed as the duo went over the waves.

"Hey girls, we're taking a little detour!"

"Hey, wait up!" Xena said as she went to follow them.

"Oh crap! Hit the deck!" Nora said as they all hid from view as Umber and Xena sped past them.

"Oh wow, they're taking a detour!" Hau said.

"And so are we!" Kukui said and then took off where the two would happily go over some waves together before stopping at the beach.

"Was that legal?" Jade asked.

"No rules said you can't make a detour and enjoy yourself." Kukui said. "People do it all the time!"

"Makes sense." Nyx nodded.

"I still don't know why you guys had to drag me here." Lillie sighed. "Just because I was excited doesn't mean-"

"Shh!" Nora hushed her.

"That was so much fun!" Xena smiled.

"It sure was." Umber said. "…Oh, Xena… you're…" He started snickering. "Your make up, it's running like crazy."

"Yeah, we had a feeling…" Xena giggled as Umber pulled out a handkerchief.

"Don't worry, I came prepared." Umber said as he started to dab the makeup off of her.

"Aaagh! Noooo! The make up!" Anime tears ran down Nora's cheeks. "We worked so hard on that…"

"I told you we should've gone with the water resistant kind." Nyx said.

"How was I supposed to know they'd be surfing?" Jade sweatdropped as Umber undid Xena's hair in the process as then Dark Xena took over and he did the same thing with her.

"There we go. All natural, just the way I like you two girls."

"Tried to tell those boneheads that we're not the make up kind, but noooo…" Dark Xena rolled her eyes, causing Umber to snicker.

"Come on, I wanna show you something." Umber said, taking her hand as the two of them walked over to a shop just nearby, while Dark Xena used her magic to teleport her clothing onto her, and doing the same for Xena inside of her.

"Thank you~!"

"What's this?" Dark Xena asked as they were at a cafe.

"Malasadas, you want some?"

Dark Xena smiled. "Sure!"

Umber grinned as they walked into the cafe. "Three Malasadas, please!"

Outside of the cafe, Hau was drooling. "Ooooh mama… they're after my own heart!" He said. "I want one too!" He said as he tried to go in.

"Ack no no no no no!" Nora said as she, Kukui, Guzma, and Nyx pulled him away right as he opened the door.

"Wah!" He yelped as they hid into a bush.

"You're gonna blow this operation!" Nora scolded.

"I can't help it. Malasadas are my weakness!" Hau said. "They're soooo goooood…"

"How is it going in there?" Jade asked as Nyx took the binoculars and looked inside, seeing the two sit across from each other at a booth.

"Okay, they're eating… they're laughing… Dark is giggling while Umber is telling a story. Okay, Xena took over so she could enjoy her malasada. Gah… if only I knew what they were saying."

Inside…

"So that's why you were a bit grouchy over at Delfino." Xena said.

"Yeah, I mean… do I enjoy being a champion of Alola, of course I do. It's just that, ya know… I was a dumb eleven year old. I didn't know what was gonna happen next. Next thing I know, I was caught in meetings, chatting with the other champions, defending my title over and over again… it kinda just weighed me down so I kinda used the opportunity to escape Alola for a while and just relax. Don't get me wrong, I like chatting with the other champions like Red, Steven and Cynthia, but sometimes… ya just gotta walk away for a while, ya know?"

"Oh, we get that." Xena giggled.

"So yeah… if I came across as a jerk or a mopey doofus, I was trying my best to recuperate after endless meetings. I wonder if Gloria is the same way… she's using her anger to blow off some steam."

"Or, ya know, she's a typical wild child of a Scotswoman?" Xena shrugged. "I mean, she doesn't look stressed at all whenever we have a chat with her."

"Eh, good point." Umber agreed.

"And besides…" Xena leaned back and took a drink of her water. "We all dumb things as kids all the time... hell, we still do dumb things as teenagers, and I wouldn't be surprised if we still do dumb things as adults."

Umber snickered. "Yeah, you're definitely right on that."

"Did Kukui tell you about what you had to do?"

"If he did, I probably didn't pay attention until like… after I became champion. Eh, I'm used to it now but eh… I still prefer to take it easy. I even brought it up with Kukui after Delfino and he even agreed that maybe I shouldn't be stressed too much. That's kinda why I'm hanging around the Mushroom Kingdom… I'm taking it easy, relaxing… making awesome dishes that makes anyone's mouth water, all that stuff. I do occasionnaly defend my title, but not as much as I used to, thank Arceus for that."

"We remember eating one of your dishes while we were helping Nyx repair her home. It was so delicious!"

"Heh, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but… yeah." Umber chuckled, causing Xena to giggle with her.

Outside…

"Okay, so… I think they're talking about… uh… sports? No, uh… oh, what do those Reds and Blues call it again… Disney movies?" Nora shrugged. "I'm not good at lip reading!"

"Then why even attempt it?" Lillie deadpanned.

"Because it's fun!"

"Oh, they're getting up and walking out! Shhh!" Guzma said as they walked out.

"Come on, I want to show you something else. You ever been to Poni Island?"

"Nope."

Umber called out Nebby. "Then let's go!" He said as they hopped on and flew off.

"Poni Island, eh?" Kukui grinned. "Sounds interesting!"

"Alright, to Poni Island! …Wherever that may be at!" Nora said.

"Heck yeah, let's go! Come on, Hau! Let's-… Hau?" Guzma turned his head.

"One malasada please!" Hau grinned.

"Oh for the love of…" Guzma walked into the store and yanked Hau away right as he took the malasada.

"Whoa!"

At the Poni Plains…

Nebby landed on the ground as they hopped off. "Wow! It's gorgeous!" Xena said, watching a few Tauros run around as some Emolga sailed on by with some Mandibuzz and Fearow flying overhead.

"Yeah, it's very pretty out here." Umber said as they sat down by a cliff and watched a Dragonair breach out of the water, both of them unaware that the team was spying on them from some trees.

"Charlie team, this is Alpha Squad, we're in position." Nora said in a walkie talkie as she was with Nyx and Jade.

"Copy that, Alpha Squad." Guzma said as he, Lillie, Hau and Kukui were behind a few bushes.

"Oh, that reminds me… I made this for you while you were getting dolled up." Umber said, holding up two Hibiscus.

"Aww, Umber…" Xena blushed as Umber put it on Xena's hair and then Dark Xena took over and had the same, only Xena had the hibiscus on the right side of her hair and Dark Xena had it on her left.

"There, now you look prettier." Umber said with a soft smile.

"Come on… come on… kiss already!" Nora said impatiently, watching Xena take over again.

"Umber… we want to thank you for taking us out." Xena said softly.

Umber smiled. "You're welcome." He said as the two of them looked at each other's eyes and slowly started to lean forward, closing their eyes.

"Oh! Oh oh oh oh! It's happening! It's happening!" Nora whispered excitedly. "Oh my gods, it's happening! Everyone stay calm! Stay calm! Stay frickin' calm!"

Just as their lips were about to touch, both of them opened their eyes. "You wanna get back at them?"

"Way ahead of you." Xena smirked, snapping her fingers as their Pokeballs teleported off of their hips and then they started opening behind them, causing them all to freeze up as they turned around to see Umber's Pokemon and Screamy behind them.

"Um… they dragged me into it!" Lillie said in a hurry as Strutter approached Lillie and gently put her to the side, patting her head before the Obstagoon turned around and cracked his knuckles.

"Maro! Marowak!" The Alolan Marowak said while the Empoleon sharpened its blades.

"Aheheh…" Nora sweatdropped. "Uh… hi fellas!"

"We know you were spying on us the whole time!" Umber called out.

"Consider this payback for dolling us up!" Xena added.

"I… honestly should've seen this coming." Nyx sweatdropped.

"Ditto." Jade sweatdropped as well as the Pokemon proceeded to tackle them and resulted in a massive dust cloud while Lillie grimaced, quickly walking around and joining Ren and Iris who were sitting on a rock.

"You got room for more?" Lillie asked as Ren scooted aside, then Lillie climbed up.

"I have to say, Min Min's ramen is a little better than Alola's… no offense." Iris said.

"Ah, no worries." Lillie said while Ren ate a Malasada.

The lovebirds chuckled as they stared off back into the ocean. "So uh… where were we?" Umber asked while blushing.

"We think we all know where we were at." Xena smiled, blushing as well as the two leaned forward again, closing their eyes before their lips met each other.

"Aww. It's about time." Iris said with a smile as Lillie let out a small fangirl squeal.

"That's our guy!" Lillie grinned as Ren let out a chuckle while JN, Nora and the Alolans were tossed to the rock.

"Believe it or not… Incineroar hits harder than that…" Kukui said with a small groan.

"I'm okay…" Nora groaned while the other three watched on, seeing Dark Xena take over and wrapped her arms around Umber as he did the same, both of them not parting until the two broke the kiss.

"Well… so that's what it's like kissing two girls in one body." Umber teased, causing Dark Xena to snicker and kissed him on the cheek, then Xena took over as the two looked up at the moon together while two Dratini breached out of the water to form a heart in the night sky.

And thus, the ship has set sail! What is the name of this ship?
